doesn't know REAL wrestling...
NXT Belfast last night
A few thoughts:
Hugo Knox is a strange type of athlete. Built like a brick shithouse but flies about with drop kicks and split-legged moonsaults.
NXT want Bobby Roode to be booed. It wasn't working, especially as it was something of a surprise for him to be there and he was introduced as Bobby rather than Robert.
No Way Jose is entertaining.
Tye Dillinger should be a face. Cien Andrade Alamas is good but that name is ghastly.
Revival/Alpha had a real old school match. The teasing of the hot tag to Jordan went on for a long time and reached fever pitch by the time it came. Pity we didn't get to see Shatter Machine or Grand Amplitude though.
Carmella singing "Heeeeeeeeeey hey Bayley..." to announce her as her partner was great.
Ah, Bayley. Still popular with everyone. Including a 33 year old Roman historian, who bought one if her t-shirts...
Asuka/Jax/Bliss will have a nice triple threat worked out by the time this tour is over. Last night, it lacked a better end sequence and a bit of variety in match layout beyond the usual "one of the three outside the ring leaving a one on one in the ring."
Team New Japan vs Team ROH in the main event was a nice treat.
