The New Main Event Mafia Sting, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Magnus & Rampage Jackson!

I agree with Angle and because of that I think that will keep AJ out with his recent issues with Angle because of Angle I think that will bring in Rampage. I can see a token big guy in Morgan would be a great shout but Crimson's return is timely however Sting was talking to Joe Park about needing Abyss for a tag match so think it will be him. I can also see gold in the MEM to make it stronger so I can see Storm and Gunner lining up as well.

My main event mafia 6: - Sting, Angle, Rampage, Abyss, Storm and Gunner

I was actually excited when Sting announced MEM returning! I think there is ALOT of room for ideas and such with this angle. Will MEM be neutral? That'd be interesting as hell. I hope too, to see Angle in it. I don't see AJ joining and would rather he stay as an loner - kind of like Sting should have stayed back in 1998 when he joined wolfpac.

But here who I think should join Stings MEM: Sting, Angle, Devon (defect from Aces and 8s), Jarrett, and Joe.

Let's hope they do it right. Could be an awesome angle!

First off, I'm not a TNA basher or a fanboy. I've watched TNA since it began on weekly PPV, along with WWF/E, WCW, ECW, & ROH. I am a wrestling fan. Now, I think this "Second Coming" of The Main Event Mafia will fail miserably! I will tell you why.....The first group was made up of true MAIN EVENTers....Nash, Angle, Booker, Steiner, & Sting were all Main Event guys. Who could possibly be called a true "Main Event" guy currently in TNA or not in WWE? Look at the originals first.....Eliminate Nash, Booker, & Steiner from rejoining and that leaves Angle. But think back to the PPV, if Angle wanted to help Sting, he would have. Sting said it was a "new" MEM...meaning new members, so which free agents could it be? The only Main Eventer out there is RVD....and maybe Jarrett, although I don't see it being any one of those two. So that leaves the non Main Event Caliber guys in TNA.

Top 5 who will NOT be part of The NEW Main Event Mafia:

1. Storm: He could join and take a backseat role in another stable (again), since he is/was technically a Main Eventer, but, since TNA just took the tag titles off a team to give them to Storm & Gunner, I don't see them dropping the tag titles soon, so he's out.
2. Matt Morgan: Nope, he is playing the lone wolf role right now and has been off television more than he's been in a Main Event.
3. Jeff Hardy: I think he will stay on Hogan's side and fight for Hulk when Brooke FINALLY does the turn, so he is out.
4. & 5. Aries & Roode: Even though they aren't a team anymore, I put them together because they won't join for the same reasons. They are successful HEEL singles stars and will be wasted away as 2nd fiddle faces.

That leaves:
1. Samoa Joe: He's a former Main Eventer, and is wasting away currently.
2. Abyss: This is the perfect way to get rid of Joseph Park and bring back Abyss while keeping with the storyline.
3. Magnus: Possibly have him included to make him happy, since he has publicly gone on record stating he is counting the days until his contract is up.
4. Styles: Does anybody know if he is a heel or a face? Does he stop doing the tweener schtick and take a backseat in a face stable? Probably because we all know nobody gets misused more than AJ Styles.
5. Chavo & Hernandez: Honestly.....who else is there?

I'm surprised to see Jeff Hardy's name so often. I would think he is an almost lock NOT to be one of the guys in MEM. he wasn't a past member like Angle or Joe, so why would he get a pass as someone from TNA who did not come out to help Sting?
you have to keep some good talent staying on the side of TNA. I see Hardy as TNA's top guy who is one of Hogan's boys. if TNA was to have a draft, I think Hardy would be Hogan's 1st pick.

what was MEM before, more heel or more face? since right now you have Aces and Eights as heels, and TNA would be the face, what does that make the new MEM? maybe a tweener type?

Angle fits, but I don't think you can just have Sting go to him. seeing how Angle was also one of the guys who did not come out to help Sting, why should Sting just go to him? I think it would make some sense to have Angle go to Sting and say he is sorry for not coming out, but he wants to be there to fight along side Sting.

I could see Sting wanting Abyss, and maybe going to Joseph Park. it seemed that one day that Sting was talking to Joseph Park almost as if Sting knew/expected that Joseph WAS Abyss. so Sting could try and get the monster out of Joseph Park so he can transform (or whatever) into Abyss. Aces and Eights seem to be afraid of Abyss, so he could fit.

AJ and his new character feeling wronged by TNA could fit, but I think I feel like he should continue to be by himself. if Angle is in, does Angle fit with this new AJ?

if Angle is in, would it make sense to also have Jeff Jarrett? seeing how Sting said it was like family and he wanted guys he could trust, I don't think I can see Angle and Jarrett on the same team.

I also don't see Bobby Roode in. I don't see him as someone Sting could trust. I think the same goes for Aries.

I don't want to see Anderson in there. that weakens Aces and Eights, and they already have too many weaker guys. I think Anderson works better as the new VP of Aces and Eights. unless Aces and Eights were to add one or more top tier guys to replace Anderson, like Morgan or Crimson. but I'd personally rather see one or both of them with Sting in MEM.

it was Sting who first made the tag team of Morgan and Crimson when they went on to win the tag team titles. I think I could see Sting trusting the 2 of them to be on his side.

I think it could be a really good fit to have Rampage in there along with Angle, as long as they forget that they would all be former world champions. while Rampage has never been main event in wrestling, he has been main event in MMA right? you could see Rampage out to be involved in the brawls that you have to expect, and you could hide his wrestling inexperience in a tag team. that way you don't have to expose him to singles wrestling just yet.

I'm still unsure about Samoa Joe. I think you still need to keep some talented wrestlers on the side of TNA, faces that could be on Hogan's side. maybe that would be guys like Hardy, Joe, Magnus, Storm.

really it can't be anyone on the current roster since noone came out to help Sting, not that that has made any difference in the past. People don't come out to help everyone every single match or it'd be pointless

Thinking more WWE/WCW leftovers that haven't been in TNA yet or in a long while.

Maybe they are gonna do a RYback with Sting, Wah Wah Wah noone came to help me, i cant handle things myself and if someone helped i'd refuse anyway Wah Wah Wah

Thank you for acknowledging what Sting said...it will not be any TNA members because no one from TNA helped him....

So I think the Stinger brings in the following -

DDP - this was mentioned before, DDP needs some plug-ola for DDP Yoga... And DDP was a World Champion

Scott Hall - he will come out with DDP... Probably not wrestle but just be a presence and say "hey, yo" a lot...

WAIT FOR IT, WAIT FOR IT....
Lex Luger - They'll wheel him down in his wheel chair, ala Brian Pillman in ECW, Luger is Sting's buddy, best friend... And he could use some extra cash. Dixie will announce he's the biggest free agent signing since DDP - I can see Luger putting Garrett Bischoff in the torture rack sitting in his wheel chair.

LAST ONE - !!!!!

SID VICIOUS - VICIOUS JUST DELIVERING POWERBOMB AFTER POWERBOMB...

Yeah these guys are more like AARP Mafia but so was the last one... These are all of Stinger's friends, and maybe Sting will start wearing on outfit that doesn't look like he rummaged through the hand me down bin..seriously blue gloves, red&black t-shirt, pink and black tights, and red and white face paint...very sloppy Stinger pull it together.

I think AJ will definately join. I think for a few weeks Sting will tease us with who the members will be, while heavily pointing towards Angle. One week Sting comes out to the ring and says he is ready to introduce a member. Just as he is getting ready Kurt Angles music hits and he comes out and says Sting it will be an honour to start up the MEM with you again.

Sting looks at Angle and says, you are not a member of the New MEM, this man is, and out comes AJ Styles. It does 2 things, it helps AJ and also continues the feud between AJ and Angle

Other members

Jeff Jarrett- Founder of TNA / former champ. And he must want to come back

Samoa Joe- Former member, as had past troubles with Aces and eights

As for other members, they may look outside TNA, but I am not sure who is all available as free agents. I don't see it being Bautista, but I can possibly see Goldberg

I'm actually starting to come to the idea that it won't be any of the current roster (yes, even angle). Maybe TNA is about to pick up some serious talent possibly Matt Hardy & Edge (if he has recovered), JJ would be a nice choice as well being the founder of TNA. Any word on Christian's WWE signing? Or is that rumored? I can't really think of any other guys that would fit but that would be an awesome stable to say the least and fits the MEM theme. I still think Kurt will be part of it since he was the father of MEM but this is going to be another (lets pick up some more talent to give WWE a run for their money type thing) just like A&E was created to bring Luke Gallows, Wes, and Knox to the roster with the story of being backlash from Hulk turning on Immortal and being a horrible GM.

"Maybe they are gonna do a RYback with Sting, Wah Wah Wah noone came to help me, i cant handle things myself and if someone helped i'd refuse anyway Wah Wah Wah"

I think so too, it's an indirect stab at WWE really because they're at different angles but how many times has WWE mocked TNA? Tons with the Cena/AJ Lee story, Bryan with the huge beard, Nexus/Immortal, etc... etc... both companies take jabs at each other all the time though. Heck even Mickie is running around all crazy now like AJ Lee stabbing her BFF in the back lol. It's just harder to pin point some of it and others are no brainers.

oh oh speaking of wheel chairs maybe Flair will return with Foley trololol....this all sounds NWOish though. MEM WAS unique and I don't think it will win the crowd over like it did the first go.

I don't see Goldberg in MEM he would look ridiculous in a mafia suit not to mention he's a horrible wrestler and doesn't give a crap about wrestling. Nash was the same way not sure how he feels now but sheesh man at least nash has talent.

Yes!! Yes!! Yes!! I’ve been waiting for the return of the Main Event Mafia since the end of 2009. I hope they follow the same formula of having only World Champions. Here is the list of who I think should be in the group.

Kurt Angle – Il Padrino. The original Godfather of the M. E. Mob. Of course he should be the first choice without question.

Sting – The reason this is all taking place in 2013. Thank you, Stinger!!

Samoa Joe – As the only current TNA Star who was a former member, it’s only right for him to retake his place.

Mick Foley – What is Mick Foley doing right now anyway?? Since this is a Face version of the M. E. Mob, let’s put Foley in a suit and bring him out.

A.J. Styles – Look, he’s clearly not joining the As&8s, so let the Face of TNA join the Face Stable…again.

Rob Van Dam – If Undertaker and Triple H can do it, then RVD can get a haircut as well. It’s time to grow up and suit up, Robert.

Jeff Hardy – Jeff Hardy was dressed to the 9s when he was in Immortal, I think it would be a good fit for him this time around. Plus sunglasses in lieu of face paint works for Sting. I’m positive it could work for Jeff Hardy as well.

Mr. Anderson – Face turn for the @$$hole. Why not?? In Stable wars, turns are almost expected, right??

James Storm – Beer!!

Bobby Roode – Money!!

Austin Aries – He fits. A Double was born to be in the Main Event Mafia.

Now I’m not saying have all of the 11 World Champions listed above in the Stable, but I would like to see only these names in the group. Of course the Aces and Eights are going to need more members to even out the odds. I’m thinking this is wear Matt Morgan and other TNA SuperStars who have never held a World Title come in. I’m so excited!! I can’t wait another week for the formation and return of the New M. E. Mob!!

I wish I still had the Main Event Mafia ringtone from my old phone!!

Also, I don't think it will go down like that, that would put sting and angle in a feud real quick unless they have angle go heel and aj face with the same persona as he does now. If anything it will be an A&E jumping Mafia style like Abyss did. I however do think another power struggle feud between Angle & sting is in play though. I just don't see AJ being a tweener for long he's already over with the crowd as a tweener I think a face turn with his current stature is in play too.

Kurt Angle was obviously the first person to spring to mind as he's a former MEM member, has had issues with Aces and Eights and has been seen with Sting on TV.

Samoa Joe-See Kurt Angle. (Except for the last part.)

Jeff Jarrett-Possible. He's a former World Champion.

Assuming there's going to five members, I guess Jeff Hardy is a possibility.

Rhino also wouldn't be a bad choice. He's still fairly young and as far as I know can still go in the ring. (Shame he didn't get a longer reign in TNA.)

I'm thinking no on RVD and DDP. Didn't RVD's contract run out and wasn't he at the WWE HOF this year? I think DDP has a Legend's contract or something in WWE.

I don't see it being Magnus, D'Lo Brown or Matt Morgan since MEM was all about former World Champions. Anyway, I'm interested in seeing where this goes and who is added. TNA has been far more interesting than WWE for a long time, IMO.

If ya heard this the new MEM not old so more than likely no old names will be in only new guys.
So here's my picks:
Leader: Sting-nuff said.
Jeff&Karen Jarrett-Returns to TNA as they're against them for BS
AJ Styles- Loner like Sting
Matt Morgan-Constantly getting screwed by the Man
Mr. Anderson-as I see him turning on Aces n Eights as you could tell he was gonna to when he 1st started w/ them
Eric Young/ODB-cause of their past w/ Sting
Joseph Park will be TNA while Abyss will be MEM
Plus to the People who think Batista, Goldberg, Rob Van Dam, MVP, DDP, Scott Hall, Lex Luger, Sid n guys like that would work TNA need to know they woiuldn't go there again or for the 1st time. DDP has a WWE Legends Contract, Lex Luger works for the WWE as their Wellness Policy head guy. TNA don't hav the money to pay guys like Hall, Goldberg, Batista, Sid, MVP as they wouldn't prob take a paycut. So we will find out who joins in the following weeks but it won't be any of the Originals.
Plus to the people who think Aces n Eights will be done by BFG this year are wrong as they had at least a 2yr plan for them written up from what I read.

Scott Steiner or Batisa ( the muscle guy the bodyguard)

Jeff Jarrett ( the guy who can play dirty too against aces n 8)

AJ Styles ( most charismatic wrestler in tna )

Abyss ( the big guy of the group)

DDP ( ddp can still go at his age and he's in great shape)

Well i think its gotta be Angle at the very least. Angle has had stingers back for a bit now so i think it will be him. Samoa Joe i can also see joining as he has had problems with Aces N eights so i would like to see the Samoa Submission Machine join MEM. I dont think it will be AJ as i dont see him playing second fiddle nor TNA sacrificing his loner story line.

I would like to see the IT factor Bobby Roode join as well that would be intriguing as well. Roode as long as your his partner will have your back. Morgan they are not doing anything with him and that guy bitches n moans at every turn.. I think Jeff Hardy is a candidate as well. Why the hell not that would be great in fact he be as good as a pick as Angle would be.

I hope I'm wrong, but this could lead to the return of Kevin Nash. He's not under any contract to wwe and moneymark Dixie will give him a lot of money to do very little, which he likes!

I hope the group won't be too big. Maybe Sting, Styles, and 2-3 other guys. Limit it to 5. I say Styles because he got shafted by TNA like Sting. The other 2-3 guys? Maybe it will be midcard guys who can use the rub(like Matt Morgan). Jeff Jarrett would be a great choice too as in real life it seems he is being shafted by TNA lol.

Even though they are former members, Angle and Joe won't make sense since they are part of TNA now and didn't save Sting. It shouldn't be anyone that is actively part of TNA and is fighting Aces and 8s. So is this going to be TNA vs Aces and 8s vs the Main Event Mafia? If so it's a rehashment of wcw vs nwo hollywood vs the Wolfpack. Can't they come up with something new?

My member picks would be,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sting
Jeff Jarrett
MVP
Hardcore Holly
Chris Masters
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe they will say that Main Event Mafia will consist of former, and future world champions.
But all these men have been in main events once upon a time in their careers.

I hope I'm wrong, but this could lead to the return of Kevin Nash. He's not under any contract to wwe and moneymark Dixie will give him a lot of money to do very little, which he likes!

Kevin Nash has had a Legends contract with the WWE ever since he came back for that brief stint with CM Punk. He had that Royal Rumble appearance and has visited NXT. I doubt he'll be returning to TNA any time soon. :p

I've no clue who's going to be in it so I'll just list the guys I think will be really cool.

Sting, AJ Styles, Austin Aries (or Bobby Roode), Magnus, Crimson.

If we're going by the old 'former world champon' thing, then drop Magnus and Crimson out of this and add Joe and Hardy.

Either way, I was never around to see the first Main Event Mafia so I'm indifferent. Sting's promo was cool, but the fact that we're in store for ANOTHER stable vs stable is killing it for me.

Stable vs Stable now means endless iMPACTs ending in brawls, mass brawls DURING impact where no one gets the edge, numerous interferences and one or two good promos, tops. Don't forget all the clusterfuck matches.

Let's think logically here. The point of Sting putting together a group is to get guys he'll trust to protect him. Thus, it won't be guys who are in the BFG series because they have other things to do and they are protecting their own interests, and it won't be guys who should have protected Sting in the first place but didn't. Thus, I present to you what the MEM SHOULD be:

Sting
Matt Morgan - loner who nobody pays attention to, not in BFG series, can be talked into it.
Crimson - wasn't on the roster, is militant now
Rampage Jackson - TNA already killed any idea of this guy being special. He's another member of the roster, but he's still intimidating and he wasn't around at the PPV to help Sting.

and lastly......Scott Steiner. A nod to the old group and a nostalgia pop.

If Sting sticks to the old principles (former World Champions) when starting this new Main Event Mafia, then I could see the group possibly looking a little something like this:

The Godfather Sting

Kurt Angle - As most others have pointed out, Angle had just had a great match with AJ Styles so he could easily say he wasn't aware of what was happening in the ring or something like that. Sting has always seemed to trust Angle and I would have Angle as the only other original MEM member. MEM's World Title contender.

Rob Van Dam - He wouldn't have even been in Boston so that's a pretty good reason for not coming to help Sting. RVD is a multi time former World Champion and a fixture in the main event where ever he's competing. MEM's TV Title contender.

Austin Aries & Bobby Roode - They're the team of World Champion's. Their excuse for not helping Sting could be that they barely help each other and didn't think Sting would want their help, but now he's asked they'll be behind him. It doesn't fit with either mans character to just come to the aid of someone and the Stinger will know this. MEM's Tag Title contenders.

Rampage Jackson - Former UFC World Champion and main event player. Like RVD he wasn't at Slammiversary. Rampage would be the wildcard and the muscle of the group. If Rampage is part of a stable it's probably easier to give him some exposure but not over expose him before he's ready as well. MEM's enforcer.

I really don't see AJ Styles joining up with Sting as his whole thing now is about no one but the Phenomenal One. TNA would kill AJ's current story by having him join forces with anyone. AJ's whole focus has to be on the BFG Series now.

I'm not sure that guys like Jeff Hardy, Magnus or Samoa Joe are viable members either as these are the sort of wrestlers I would've thought Sting would be most disappointed with? They all competed a lot earlier in the night (unlike Angle) and would've had time to recover from their matches to see what was happening in the ring. Seeing as Sting has been semi aligned with these guys in the past, I would've thought they would be the ones he was expecting to help him?

I don't see anyone outside of TNA worth signing, bar Goldberg, but if they do bring in some outsiders it will be interesting to see who does come in. I was a huge fan of the original MEM and am looking forward to seeing what the new MEM will be like.

I think MEM will probably be a group of outsiders like Morrison, MVP and a returning RVD. If I was going to do it with existing TNA guys the two people with an Axe to grind are Morgan and AJ and you can probably round out the group with an up and comer like Crimson.

I just feel Morgan will join up with A&E I would love to see hardy go MEM just to turn heel again, yeah sure MEM will reform as face but eventually go heel yet again

No way should TNA bring in those ingrates Nash, and Booker T. Let them be Vince's bitch.

I could easily see Jarret, Styles in MEM. Both were shafted by TNA. Angle too because he's a former member. Morgan would be a good fit too.
