I never argued one was better or worse. You argued that Crock knows the rules. Dagger's record has no bearing on that unless you are trying to distract from Crock's shortcoming there.

I don't think you want to get into a volume based argument when Dagger is the other choice. Everyone that is being honest knows Crock heavily leans towards spam posting and his abilities in non-spam are not anything special.

My point isn't that Crock posts more than Dagger, it's that he posts non-spam a lot, and when he does so his posts are better than Dagger. Dagger posts more, but his posts are terrible.

And if we do 4 months and only count threads that get at least 5 responses it is 3-3. Even if we take your timeframe once again this doesn't make Crock better, just pretty much equally bad. Once again you are the one arguing that this is an area that Crock excels in so I am not sure what the Dagger comparison serves to do except distract from Crock's obvious shortcomings.

Plausible but still doesn't address my addendum from before, not to mention Crock now has a whopping one vote more and I haven't voted yet.

Fair enough and I am glad you two have moved past this. However, I think it is a little bit odd that you felt so strongly about the behind your back aspect of Dagger's actions instead of talking to you directly but you ultimately failed to do the same when it came to your issue with him until now. Much like you had a better explanation than he knew about at the time, it is entirely possible that you could have made a similar mistake that if addressed earlier might have allowed you two to move forward when it actually happened.

Well, the reasons for this are multiple, but here's a few:

1) I had faith that the other mod could tell Dagger that the staff weren't interested in what he had to say, because I can trust the other mods we had at the time and at present, something I could never now say about Dagger.

2) I had faith that the other mod could tell Dagger why I wasn't online, because I can trust the other mods we had at the time and at present, something I could never now say about Dagger.

3) How is not speaking to someone who has tried to go behind your back as if they are your pal in any way a wrongful reaction.

4) Truth be told, I don't care about Dagger enough to bother speaking to him. He did what he did, but it was made clear by the consensus of admins, g-mods and mods that he would never make the board room. Now we have an election, he has a chance of becoming a moderator, I'm stopping it. I don't want Dagger to be a mod, so now it becomes relevant.

I can't believe anybody who can read, who has seen what some of the best posters on this site have to say, and has come to the conclusion that Dagger is the best option is anything but a complete and utter idiot.

He is running for a party which is almost certainly called Anyone But Coco, given what it's founder has had to say, and you have the audacity to claim that Coco is the troll candidate?!

Folks, if you held an election for who gets removed as mod, you'd have about a dozen moderators trying to convince you why they aren't fit for the job. The rest would be too new to moderation and would still think they are fulfilling an essential public duty. A way to be removed as mod without having to feel like abandoning a post that you didn't entirely understand when you took on the job? Fuck yeah!

Some people still seem to think being a moderator is a reward or a privilege. It's more like a job that takes something you love and turns it into a chore.

You have a pretty clear position on him, regardless of how you think he'd fare as a mod, and you were standing right alongside those people with their fingers in their ears, ignoring legitimate arguments, calling them personal attacks, or whatever the shit you guys were defending him with.

I'd say she was ready for it, as she was quite accurate in her observations of how this election has progressed, and she was just as accurate when she defended her position in saying that you missed the point of her post.
