The Final Poll

Who Should Be The Next Mod?

  • The Crock

  • Dagger Dias

  • Coco The Monkey

Was my reaction.

I didnt need to be involved in all the other drivel...So, we are electing the next mod?

Well, Dagger was overbearing and proven to be a liar. Neither are behaviour I intend to reward with the desired result.

I like Crock. As of fairly recently.

Coco has probably been worthy of a spot for a long time. Maybe I have more faith in him than I should, but im always up for electing someone who isnt a kissass and would stand up for others.

there we go, easy.

Simple question for a guy who should know better than anyone. Is there a need for a spam mod on Wrestlezone forums? Forget about Coco versus Crock versus Dagger, and look simply at need. Does the need for a spam mod exist, and if so, how did you guys manage to get by for so long without one?

Crock and Dagger: Which one is Gore and which one is Nader?
I hope this isn't to imply that I'm a recovering alcoholic. 'Cause I haven't gotten that far yet.

Crock reports posts quite regularly. It hasn't been brought up because he knows the rules.

Why do you REALLY want to become a moderator? You have two pages of Discipline on your profile, do you think becoming a Moderator will help protect you more from Infractions?

Crock posts across the forums, but in a thought out manner that actually elicits a response.

Maybe we have different definitions of across.

This place is important to you, you love discussing wrestling and you want to do whatever you can to contribute...and yet, you've started a grand total of 3 non-spam wrestling threads in the last 6 months. Correct me if I'm wrong, this is the forum you're claiming to want to be mod in, right? In comparison, you've started 3 Bar Room threads in just the last 10 days. 3 threads during the last 180 days in the section you claim to love and want to contribute in , and 3 threads in the Bar Room in the last 10 days.

Crock gets on well with a lot of posters, as does Dagger, but Crock features much more on "favourite poster" type threads. I.e. people like him more.

More accurately people that respond to such threads like him more.

Sly on Crock said:
While people may "like" you as a poster, I don't think many would disagree with me when I say you're a mediocre poster. You rarely have original or thought-provoking ideas, and so many of your posts just seem to be agreeing with whomever will allow you to suck up to them the most. We have mediocre posters all over the forum, why should we make one of them a moderator? Why should we allow a mediocre poster to represent the WrestleZone Forums, especially in the WWE forum, the most visible forum on the site? Why should people want a mediocre poster to represent them?

I've never spoken to either Crock or Dagger directly on here before this election process, and my opinion is entirely professional. People can act like there's some conspiracy against Dagger, but there isn't. If Crock had behaved like him, he'd be getting the same response from me. Ditto Coco.

Out of curiosity did you ever discuss the PM with Dagger when it actually happened?

Asian Cartoon Porn

Which was a problem because there weren't any staff members online at the time who had the ability to deal with it. Which would have been just as much of a problem if there was a spam mod who happened to be offline at the time as well. It seems to me that there are much easier ways to deal with a problem of this nature, and they don't involve a spam mod in any way, shape, or form.

I was online at the time. You're dealing in hypotheticals. I'm throwing down real talk.

the answer is no. but there isnt need for the amount of mods we have anyway. So its sort of a non argument.

I said there were no staff members online at the time who had the ability to deal with that particular problem. That's no hypothetical, that's a fact. Last time I checked, your name wasn't in bold - yet. And even you aren't online 24/7. There are better ways to avoid a recurrence of this problem, and they don't involve creating redundant staff positions.

Not really, and I thank you for stating the obvious. This has been my main point throughout this whole thing. No disrespect to Coco, but he is running for a position for which there is no need. End of story.

An argument that still doesn't wound me any more than the other two candidates.

For someone who's supposed to be so anti-Coco, you're sure doing a good job of making me look at least as necessary as my opposition.

By NorCal's own admission, though, neither position (yet another WWE mod or a spam mod) is needed. In fact, I'd venture to guess that nothing in this whole election was set up to fill any "need" on staff. I get what you're trying to go for, but like the man said...it's a non-argument.

Uh, yea....but given what i just said, so are the other two.

See what im gettin at?

1st point about rules:

Crock has 1 expired infraction and 5 expired warnings.
Dagger has 4 expired infractions and 4 expired warnings.

Maybe we have different definitions of across.

1) Sly is referring to threads started. Not posts made. He has a non-spam daily posting average of around 2, and has made over 1,000 non-spam posts.

2) Dagger Dias has started precisely 0 non-spam wrestling threads in the last three months and The Crock has started 4.

More accurately people that respond to such threads like him more.

Crock has more rep, and more votes in this popularity contest. It would appear more people like him, whatever the measure.

Out of curiosity did you ever discuss the PM with Dagger when it actually happened?

No, I didn't have access to the internet at the time. The mod he sent the message to posted it in the board room then given the consensus, he replied. By the time I got online a few days later, there was really no reason for me to say anything.

I would like to say, for the record, that Dagger has apologised now, and I have accepted that apology. I will continue to campaign against him, because he's the wrong choice, but I am not holding any sort of grudge against him, and when the election is done, I won't be bringing it up again.

Can we vote next on who to de-mod? I think that'd be just as fun as this. Maybe more.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Are you fucking kidding me?

That would have been SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER THAN THIS.

All the mods would have been trying to stab each other in the back, but also trying to protect their buddies. It would be like a reality show, except more awesome because we can say whatever the hell we want.

When is Sam buying the forum? That would be so awesome.

I see exactly what you are getting at, and I agree with you to a large degree. On the basis of need, it could be argued that all three candidates came up short, making it necessary to base your vote on other factors. Neither guy ran for the position based upon where the need really exists. I mean, it's not like either of them ran to co-moderate the TNA section, or anything sensible like that.

I'd tell you to do me, but I doubt even you, one of our most intelligent members, can count that high.

Can I campaign for things in the board room? 'Cause this seems like the hill I want to die on.

I have 4 3 expired warnings, and I thought that was a pretty high number. How bad do I gotta fuck up to get legit infracted anyway?

EDIT: Actually, 3 expired and 1 reversed.
