  • Coco The Monkey

Results are only viewable after voting.
Alright, I know for a fact that the ABC party is out PM'ing for newbies for votes now. boozinjedi?

Well, it wouldn't be an election if there wasn't somebody out bribing people for votes. Did we really expect Dagger & the ABC party to run an ethical & fair campaign?

The rules of the election. Duh.

For the record, when I'm behind by 15 votes in a few hours, I won't be PMing newbs for uninformed support. Because when papa NorCal sat me on his knee and told me about honour, I listened.

Dammit Coco, I've spent too much time burying your Canadianess from the electorate and you go out and expose yourself by adding a "u" to the word honor.

Why don't you just mention going to The Beer Store and ordering poutine?

Do we know for sure that Dagger, or anyone else on his behalf, are PM'ing noobs for votes and/or bribing them with rep? I keep reading about this, but no one has confirmed it for me. Or that he is encouraging new registration to secure votes, because I am unaware of either taking place for sure. I have been supporting Dagger from day one and I can say that personally, I have not encouraged any noob activity. I have bribed no one with my whopping rep power of 6. I have sent one PM looking for support for Dagger, and that was to an ABC guy who originally supported Dagger and changed his mind. I sent him a PM to ask him to reconsider. I have PM'd no one else, nor do I intend to. My campaigning for him has all been out in the open.

I haven't voted yet, but I would be interested if anyone has any proof of Dagger doing these things, that could be a factor for me before I cast my vote.

Personally, I think the surge of support is from ABC guys sticking with the party and voting Dagger. I have no evidence of anything beyond this. Granted I cannot speak for anyone else, but I haven't done anything which I feel is wrong, except for express my opinion which I am entitled to.

Surprised Dagger isn't up by more. He really sucks at this. If he wanted to Coco could be up by about 50 right now.

Apparently Paralyzer Z has. But even if people have done so, it's an election where every vote counts. If Dagger has used this to his advantage then tough shit to anyone who doesn't like it. I don't personally agree with it but at the end of the day, look at the ground he's made up. Seems like a good strategy to me, regardless of whether I personally agree with it.

45 votes for Dagger - 45 votes for Coco. I didn't vote yet..................... AM I HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS? :icon_neutral: Hn... Nah. *Votes*

This election is just proof that anyone who isn't on staff should have zero say in who gets a mod spot. If you're not a mod, or never have been then how on earth could you possibly have any idea of what the job entails & what makes a good mod?

I say that people who are up for the vote should NOT be allowed to PM for votes, but how can we stop this?

You can't. That election tactic is not against the rules as they were set up by KB and Sly. Whether it was a simple oversight or deliberate, it's not Dagger's fault that the rules allow him to do it.

PS, SSC, If only every election had campaigning like that, that is far more likely to get my vote than a PM would be, lol

Dagger (and anyone for that matter) is well within the rules to PM people asking for votes, and reward with rep if he so wishes, as stated by the rules Slyfox put up at the very beginning of the election process. If you really, really have issue with it, take it up with him or KB, though I doubt you'll get to change anything.
