Just read the conclusion to Schism. That fight was the bomb, and I'm happy to see that the kids rallied around Scott to fight off the Sentinel.
But then why the fuck are they leaving with Logan? If they want to fight, then why go with the guy that doesn't want them to fight?
And I can't help but feel like Hope is making a huge mistake. Cable was a fantastic leader, Scott is a fantastic leader... Logan is a weak leader. He does a decent job with X-Force, but he's still taking his cues from Cyclops. In the end of the day, I think she needs a father figure like Cyclops instead of a fun uncle like Wolverine.
I can't say I'm thrilled with the conclusion of the story as I thought it would be far more dramatic, but I'm excited to see where we go from here. I can't wait to see that little prick Killgore get kicked in the fucking face. Something tickles me when I see obnoxious children getting hurt.
NYCC 2011: Marvel Resurrects the SCARLET SPIDER This January
Posted on 10/14/11 at 6:15 PM in Articles, Previews by Jim Mroczkowski
Rejoice, you children of the nineties!
Tonight’s Amazing Spider-Man panelists teased a number of upcoming surprises– not the least of which was an upcoming crossover with Mark Waid’s Daredevil and the long-threatened revenge of the Sinister Six– but nothing surprised this reporter quite so much as the announcement of an honest-to-goodness ongoing Scarlet Spider series coming to shelves this January. Marvel had hinted at the return of the Behoodied One in recent Point One promos, but those of us wondering what kind of fake-out those promos were now live carrying the knowledge that they were exactly what they appeared to be.
Or were they??
Older readers have traditionally had some mixed feelings about this character’s legacy/getup, but those who were in their formative years during the Clone Saga clearly remember the character with fond nostalgia, as the press release for this announcement describes him as one of Marvel’s “most demanded, most popular super heroes.” No matter where you stand, the book is shaping up to be a good read, thanks to beloved writer Chris Yost and up-and-coming best-in-the-biz penciller Ryan Stegman, who you may remember from such recent romps as She-Hulks and Hulk vs. Dracula. Below is just a taste of what you have in store next year, both from Scarlet Spider and Spider-Man in general.
-Brian Micheal Bendis & Mark Bagely will working on the upcoming Avengers Assemble book (making this Bendis's 3rd Avengers book). The team includes Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, the Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow, basically the exact line-up that will be seen in the Avengers movie coming out next summer.
-FF & Fantastic Four is going to be split into two separate titles, with Fantastic Four coming back with issue #602.
-Jeph Loeb and Simone Bianchi, last seen together killing Sabretooth, will be reuniting to resurrect Sabretooth. The story we told was not the whole story, says Mr. Loeb. Loeb is also the guy tasked with the responsibility of resurrecting Cable as well.
-Finally, a mysterious slide showing Its coming . and a distinctly Phoenix-esque shape flashed long enough to tantalize, but not long enough to communicate much else. Watch this space.
LULZ Jeph Loeb
How many times will it be with Phoenix/Jean Grey coming back (in one form or another) if it is indeed that character?
Here's my question(s), do we really need Sabretooth back? is he really that intriguing of a character? are there really anymore stories that need to be told that require Sabretooth?
I'm not sure it's Jean Grey this time, at the end of Generation Hope this week, Scott & Kitty had a discussion about Hope &, as Kitty referred to it, "The city in Arizona". I don't want to spoil anything by saying much more, but I would highly recommend reading Generation Hope this week.
Marvel Laying Off 'As Many as 15 People,' Report Says

Marvel Comics is laying off "as many as 15 people" today in an effort to cut costs, CBR reports.
The article states that the layoffs come from the editorial and production department and include editors Alejandro Arbona and Jody LeHeup. The moves are said to not be performance-based.
Arbona, an associate editor at Marvel, worked on projects including Invincible Iron Man, Iron Man 2.0 and the upcoming miniseries Victor Von Doom. LeHeup worked on X-office titles including Uncanny X-Force, and edited both Strange Tales anthology miniseries, featuring indie creators' take on Marvel characters.
In an apparent oblique but good-natured response to the news, Arbona posted on his Twitter account, "Now I can start tweeting REALLY dirty."
Marvel declined comment Thursday afternoon. Keep reading Newsarama for more as the story develops.
Update, 2:50 p.m. eastern: A tweet from Captain America writer Ed Brubaker suggests that assistant editor Rachel Pinnelas, whose credits include Thunderbolts, Heroes for Hire and Black Panther: Man Without Fear, is also among the cuts.
Update, 3:10 p.m. eastern: Writer Matt Fraction has confirmed via Twitter that Arbona will remain editor of creator-owned series Casanova, which is published by Marvel's Icon line.
