The Bullshiting About Comics Thread w/ Justin & Friends

So I found a comic called M.I.L.F. Magnent while searching through torrents this morning. As the title suggests you can infer what it's about. Here's the descriptiong:

After a magical accident during a fight with a supervillain, a young and innocent hero named Taser discovers that he now has a more specific kind of ability. Women of a certain age will just not leave him alone...24/7. You might think that was a pretty cool thing, but our hero is having all kinds of trouble just getting through the day!
From super-groupies to dominatrix heroines, his day has gone from bad to totally screwed. Literally. And even the people who rescue him have an ulterior motive...But now, this crazy ability will be put to the ultimate test, as a villainess holds the world to ransom, and Taser must make the ultimate sacrifice...

I have a feeling this is going to be pretty damn hilarious.

I subscribed to get Marvel comics online and I'm currently reading the Civil War arc.

Any suggestions on what to check out after?

I found this yesterday, I meant to post it then

Marvel is curious which team you’d choose. But because you’re real, you don’t have to. Unless you want to be that guy. Besides, both teams are composed solely of filthy, filthy mutants. I’ll take the lesser of two filths and go yellow.

I looked at what's coming out this week from both Marvel & DC, it's going to be a big (& exspensive) week in comics for me.

DC
  • Batman & Robin #1
  • Grifter #1
  • Suicide Squad #1

Marvel
  • Daredevil #3
  • Fear Itself #6
  • Hulk vs. Dracula #1
  • PunisherMAX #17
  • Ultimate Comics Spider-man #1
  • Uncanny X-Force #15

So Marvel released the teaser for the next big Marvel event. Keep in mind, Marvel said there would be a reason that Schism and Fear Itself end at the same time.

Um, yeah, that's what I like to see, and I like it a lot. Cable is back and he's pissed. If this doesn't scream Hope centric storyline, I'm not sure what does. Marvel said there would be a big Avengers/X-Men story that would be the centerpiece throughout 2012, and this looks to be the beginning.

Cable is going to fuck some shit up! Can we skip Fear Itself and Schism and jump right to that? Please?

I wish Fear Itself would just hurry up & end, it's a shit event that is dragging on for faaaaaaar to long, Schism on the other hand has been excellent so far. I am very interested in Cables return, & a big Avengers/X-men crossover event seems awesome, though Marvel is seriously burning me out with all these huge events, they currently have 3 big events all going simultaneously (Fear Itself, Schism, & Spider-Island), I would really like to see them take a bit a a break from these major events for a few months, and allow readers to catch their breath before jumping into another "huge epic event".

CABLE IS COMING BACK!?!?!? WHEN!?!?

I don't want Schism to hurry up. I want to savor every delicious moment.

I made a post in this very thread a few months ago about the announcement. Schism doesn't need to hurry up at all, it's being handled very well, Fear Itself has really turned to shit though, and is just dragging on, I'd rather they just get it done and over with already. Fear Itself is easily the most disappointing event I've read this year. Marvel really dropped the ball with this one.

I love how cocky superman is in it, I like that he's younger than norma, I like that it was implied that Clark works for the star, I love the jeans. He's more an everyman hero than the Superman we've known.

I love for that they were able to get me interested in Superman again, something that has taken them nearly 20 yrs. to accomplish, Superman with a bit of an attitude is just fun to read.

Rats, rats with money, Rats with guns, I'm your worst nightmare.

Great opening line

Oh and I marked for Lois Lane's Keystone City hoody
