The ABC Party

I'm a neutral rep-****e this election. The more rep I get, the more likely I am to vote for your party.

May the best briber win.

I think that you were supporting the Coco theory of this being a popularity contest. Every poster is a welcome addition. Or are you having a change of mind?

Also Sign Guy is alright. Very good in fact when he isn't trying too hard.

And I promise not to try to hard. I'll be the first to admit I have been very guilty of this in the past.

Playing off of what hatehabs said, for those in the ABC Party who do decide that they want to be a mod, and there are a lot of choices, give me reasons to vote FOR you, not reasons to vote against your challengers. I have very little interest in being a mod myself so I won't be one of those challengers, but I do want to help make sure that as a party, we select the best possible candidate. Coco is under he assumption that it is going to be a landslide victory. Maybe, maybe not...but that doesn't mean that we have to resort to cheap shots. We also want to give voters reasons to vote for our candidate and not just against him.

Here's the problem I see with the ABC Party...

You guys haven't gotten out there yet. I see the French Party as the Democrats. They've got a golden boy that they'll push to the moon. The Birthday Party is the Republicans, they have a lot of options that will have to duke it out for the nom. The ABC Party is the libertarians. You have plenty of support, but nobody knows what's really going on with you guys.

This is still a one horse race, but at least Crock is making waves. I can't even tell you who's running out of the ABC Party, and to be honest, unless you're planning on getting your names out there, I don't care.

The Democrats have an Obama, the Republicans have a Romney, a Perry, and a Cain... you guys need a Ron Paul. Who's going to step up to the challenge?

I helped rally people here. Habs did too. Dagger as well as far I know, now that we're an official party, I'm making my stand. Habs, Dagger and the others can do so too. I'm up for anything to get to the top and prove you wrong and Coco wrong. But if I lose, I'll support the guy who beats me. Because that'll also proves you wrong.

So Killjoy's motivation for running is that he wants to prove me wrong?

Glad to see he's in this for all the right reasons.

This bolded statement is the key to the entire election. Let the primaries come and go, and pick whoever we pick. In the end, the numbers are in our favor, and if the entire party, all 51, all rally, 100%, around whoever emerges, I think a lot of you may be in for quite a surprise. If infighting after the primaries splits our vote, we are done and Coco wins. But if 51 votes, all of them, go to our candidate, we should be good, should be really tight.

Too many of you are buying into Coco's propaganda. We can definitely pull this off.

You're everything wrong with modern politics.

Like Mozz said, you're everything wrong with modern politics. What if Killjoy wins? So far he's proven that he has a short temper and that he can't handle someone questioning him. These are indicators that he'd make a terrible mod. But instead of voting for someone that is far more qualified, such as Crock or Coco, you'll vote for Killjoy in the election?

I'm pretty sure that's exactly why nothing is getting done in the United States Congress, because the Congressmen refuse to use their better judgement and vote along party lines.

I'm not running off with money. I'm right here for people to see.

What are you even talking about?

I'm talking about people voting down the party line simply because they're affiliated with that party, rather than actually listening to what others' opinions are. My guess is, you haven't even been to other threads, listening to people discuss their ideas for their respective sections. You've just listed your own ideas, and decided to support anyone who agrees with you.

How do you think I merged my party to this one or got Ba-Bomb's party to join?

Not sure why everyone thinks this group is going to implode. Probably wishful thinking or maybe they can't comprehend things beyond their own egocentric beliefs. Based on my interactions with the majority of this group I would be quite surprised to see that happen. Anyone that thinks trolling this group with obvious nonsense is going to make them less likely to stay together is likely shooting themself in the foot.

Seriously, now, be honest. You don't think that the people in David French are voting for Coco simply to toe the party line and elect their guy no matter what he says or does? Do you really think that all of the guys in his party are voting for him because of what it is he has to say? Or are they lining up behind him with puckered lips because of who he is? Thats simply the way it is. This is a popularity contest through and through. And the only way to overcome that is 100% commitment to a plan.
