The ABC Party

You see? This is the problem, I didn't even know FunKay or Theo were running. I suppose it's okay to keep the rest of us in the dark about who is running out of your party, but I might have joined up to vote for Theo had I known he was running.

It's too late now, though, after I was treated so poorly by this party's members.

In fairness, JGlass, you say you didn't know Theo or FunKay were running. All due respect, you must not have been following this very closely at all. They have been listed on our roster since within minutes of agreeing to join. Their names appear on several lists throughout the thread. Slyfox posted the updated rosters, their names were right there.

You say you didn't know I was running. I organized the ABC Party. I made the original post. I posted frequently throughout the thread. I PM'd numerous guys to get the message out. I'm not really sure how you didnt know the 3 of us were running.

It's too bad you're in a party that has about 8 candidates running out of it. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail and they'll vote wisely, though judging by the reaction of most members here, I doubt that will happen.

I like Theo, but I'd take Habs for TNA mod. The section could use another gun with IDR being busy with fighting suicidal thoughts: a common side-effect of being a Rangers fan.

Just a question do you think I could fit as TNA mod

If Blue Cardinal was still around, it wouldn't be close.

Blue was great but he was a regular for what, 6 months? And during that time I still posted more then he did in the section. At the very least it was equal. Plus I've consistently done it since I've been here. I've seen multiple guys come into the section and post strong for a while but then fade away.

Not only do I think you'd make a good TNA mod, I think you're a better candidate for TNA mod than anyone in the race. Hell, you're probably a better candidate for TNA mod than anyone period. You strike me as a jmt type mod: Instead of just going through the motions you save your energy for meaningful posts.

Just because they're in the party doesn't mean their running. Hell, Lee started the birthday party, and he's not running for office.

I've been trying to stay hands off as much as I can, but I think it's important to have parity to make sure the best candidate wins, so I'm getting more involved. Their has been no publicity from this party outside of the election sub-forum, and because of that you have become the third party of this election, totally overshadowed by the Birthday and French parties.

Break out of the darkness, let the world know that you're here and you mean business. All 15 of you running.

Blue was far and away the best. No question.

Plenty of people post well on a consistent basis, what makes you any better?

Jglass, in what possible way is the birthday party ahead of this one?

I could tell you two candidates that were running without even looking into the thread. Crock made a splash tonight by posting a little bit of a declaration of war. Those parties have let their business be known, and have started building relationship with those of us who are undecided. The ABC Party has kept all their business in here, and I had no idea of who was running or who was just a member before coming in here.

I also hear you all support satanism.

Oh, and the Birthday Party is a much better name than the ABC Party.

So they appealed to one independent slightly more who isn't going to vote for them anyway? That is certainly more important than having twice as many committed members.

In fairness to our party members, not everyone who joined the party necessarily has mod aspirations at this time. It's not my place to say who does and who does not, I'll leave that to the individuals in question. Some are on board in a supporting role only, as with certain members of the other parties.

There's been no publicity for the election from outside this sub forum? Where did you expect to get said publicity from? And I can't follow how we're overshadowed by TBP, all due respect but we have nearly double their numbers. You'd know that if you checked out the sub forum.

Don't forget that finalization of the 3 parties doesn't happen until tomorrow morning, leading toward the primaries. I would imagine that once the primaries approach, people's intentions will get much clearer, and we will all step out of the darkness a little more ;) Hell, i didn't clarify my own position until a couple of hours ago.

According to who? You? Go poll the sport stadium regulars and see who they think is a better overall sports poster. He was tremendous with baseball but he was mainly a one sport guy with his discussions. Many of the thread ideas Blue was doing were similar to things that I had done before he even joined the forum and before you joined.

I've been doing it longer then most and anyone who reads my posts on a consistent basis, especially in the sports stadium, know the quality of my posts. Maybe you should visit the section more often.

You know, you and I are usually at odds with one another with our opinions. I kind of like being on the same side for once. It's different, but I kind of like it.

Because such members like JAM are certainly going to be huge assets in the big election.

The party system is flawed beyond belief, but if you're going to exploit it, at least do it well. How many of your members are actually going to be sticking around, and how many of them are going to lose interest and leave when they realize that there's nothing in it for them.

I still hope that people don't vote along party lines and instead vote for the best possible candidate. That's what I'm doing, and I'm a shining example to you all.

Then why was Blue seen as the next mod for the sports section? Slyfox himself said it once.

Great, but what is that going to get you in this election? You're a forgotten member, in essence. I didn't know you were running until about... Fifteen minutes ago? What separates you from anybody else in your party, is essentially what I want to know? I mean, are you REALLY looking like a viable candidate here?

Blue is my fucking homie, but I've long felt Big Sexy was and still is the best sports poster this site has seen. If my opinion matters any.

I would agree. Granted the only sports posting I do is during the playoffs for sports and for the NFL draft but still. Big Sexy has been quality. That said, we have a lot of quality in the party so it should be fun to see who emerges. I still think that 6-8 of our guys at minimum would make better mods than anyone else out there.

I don't think the party system is flawed at all. And maybe I'm naive, but I expect nearly all members, if not every single one, to stick around after they realize "there's nothing in it for them". Because there is something in it for them, that being picking the strongest candidate and the best opponent for Coco and whoever else. Lots of our members don't intend on running, but they damn well want to be a part of the process, and most if them have felt this way going into it.

Well, it seems Big Sexy is now a front runner for the ABC Party.

I believe you've all found your Ron Paul.
