Because the ABC party has no set list of ideas. Compare it to the Independent party.
That's half the problem. These folks are dead set on voting for each other for no other reason than the fact that they decided to all get in line for the same roller coaster ride, which ultimately ends with a losing to Coco.
They don't even share the same ideals. None of these parties do, they were just made to mirror what a real election is like. Everyone participating in this is playing into KB and Sly's game of politics, and I don't think that's a secret. You can either keep playing along or do what's right and vote with your head.
There are some fine candidates in this party... and by that I mean I wouldn't mind seeing Habs as a mod. That said, Habs needs to start getting his name out there before it's too late. I didn't even know he was running until I walked into this forsaken thread.

I don't know why Coco does anything he does, but I'm certainly not going to make assumptions about him or anyone on the party.
What if they joined up with the David French party because it was the only advocate for the spam sections?
This is the most intelligent post I have read tonight. Shattered hit it right on the head as per usual. There'll be no implosion here. A spirited primary with probably some ruffled feathers and hurt feelings along the way. But at the end of the day, I'm confident this group will exhibit total solidarity, and will give French all they can handle and then some. And we better. Otherwise we will lose. Not because of flawed politics on our part, but rather, blind faith on their's.
So basically, you're going to fuck the system because the other teams are fucking the system?
It's not going to work. Even if they are just voting for Coco to kiss ass, there's nobody in this party with an ass worth kissing, so that theory goes flying out the window. And while their may be honor amongst thieves amongst the leaders of this party, don't be so sure some of your lesser known followers won't abandon ship once the candidate of their choice is out of the running.

It is nowhere near too late. No advantage to peaking early. If you learned that you might be able to please a woman. Coco had this in the bag a few days ago. If he saved that burst for voting time he would have won easily. Now let's see him keep it up for a month. Attention spans are not the strong suit of his constituents.
It's funny because you don't realize that if you vote the way you claim you will then we'll all be losers when a bad candidate is elected simply because he was part of a certain party.

But the point is to get a quality candidate out of our party. Thus, it won't be a bad candidate regardless. Everyone who has thrown their hat in the ring from our party is more than qualified. Thus, whoever wins our primary has a very good chance at winning and moreso, has a very good chance at being a very good mod. That's what we're going for and I'm glad our party is working that way.

Fair enough. They share the ideal of voting for whoever wins this party's bid, even if they're a terrible candidate.
Better to peak early than to not peak at all. Then again, you use a little blue pill to make sure that doesn't happen, don't you?
Coco will keep this up for a month. Come election time there will be one name on the ballot that is by far more qualified for being a mod than any other, and that name is Coco the Monkey.
Attention spans may not be the strong suit of Coco's constituents. Nor are they the strong suit of the majority of folks on this site. We're internet wrestling fans dammit. If anything lasts more than 15 minutes, it better have the word Iron Man in it.
Given the size of the party, I doubt a bad choice will win. You said it yourself. Good choices are in here, they are bound to burst through.

It's funny that you think anyone expected it to be more than an occasionally posted in section that occasionally inducted members. You were much closer to ruffling my feathers going after my sex drive than my section.
I don't see a bad candidate coming out if this party. It may not be a candidate that you support yourself, but there are tons of candidates here who are hardly bad. Mitch, FunKay, Sally, Theo, Dagger, Killjoy, and many more, any of whom I would easily select over anyone in David French. You may not agree, and that's fine, your prerogative. But I think 100% commitment to anyone of a dozen people in this party (I'll leave myself out of the equation, not my place to say) will produce a great mod who will serve the forums well.

You see? This is the problem, I didn't even know FunKay or Theo were running. I suppose it's okay to keep the rest of us in the dark about who is running out of your party, but I might have joined up to vote for Theo had I known he was running.

This I agree with. We need to start getting out there more. I know I could more and I'm planning on doing more. Just posting in other sections and having the ABC Party sig will draw attention to the party.
I also think it's time we start to figure out who is running in the primaries. That way they will have plenty of time to do their campaigning for the primaries and get support for that. I believe so far Habs, Killjoy and Dagger are running. They need to get there message out there more and we need to figure out exactly what they're running for.
It's too bad you're in a party that has about 8 candidates running out of it. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail and they'll vote wisely, though judging by the reaction of most members here, I doubt that will happen.
I like Theo, but I'd take Habs for TNA mod. The section could use another gun with IDR being busy with fighting suicidal thoughts: a common side-effect of being a Rangers fan.
