So I found my Wrestlemania 22 Disc 2

Shocky

Kissin Babies and Huggin Fat Girlz
Lost it a few years ago, and was going through some CD's and there it was. Popped it in, and wish I had never found it. The last 3 matches on that card were atrocious. Rey Mysterio winning a WHC? Lingerie Pillow Fight between two unattractive females, and then the embarassment that was Triple H vs John Cena

There have been threads made lately about the Undertaker being an embarassment to the company, did they completely forget this night. These matches are a black eye on the company. From Rey Mysterio dressing like a giant Chicken, to Triple H Auditioning to be King Conan, to John Cena and the terrible Untouchables bull crap, to JR and the King trying to sell Cena as "controversial", to the over blown over long introduction set to inflate Triple H's ego, to the smarks trying to take the show over. WM22 Disc 2 is the black sheep of professional wrestling.

The only good thing, CM Punk gets his DDP moment riding on the back of the old car.

The Pillow Fight, amen brother. Never gotten why that happens at a big show like this. Rey, I'm a bit split here. I think its ok to put the belt on him at sometime in his career, but you're right. At Wrestlemania? No.

Finally, the main event. This just always seemed like it was thrown together for lack of anything better. The car intro was just dumb to me. It was just a big hype for him and nothing special. Not awful, but it could've been so much better.

I've also lost that DVD, like I do most of them, I really need to spend a day getting all that shit organized again, but yeah I've always felt the Mysterio/Angle/Orton match was possiably one of the worst thriple threats I have seen, It seemed rushed, that match was like 10 fucking minutes long, and I find it hard to beleive that these three guys couldn't go more than ten damn minutes, but then I guess they had to make time for that ******ed pillow fight, and the ridiculously long drawn out entrances for both Triple H and Cena, I think it took these two longer to get to the fucking ring than they did in the actual match itself

And CM Punk being part of the Cena entrance is probably the closest the guy will ever get to a WM ME

Come to think of it now I don't remember there really being any good matches on that WM, maybe the MITB match, but I don't even remember who was all in that year

Oh yeah, and it also had the MOTY in Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon. Seriously, the blind love taht Michaels gets at Wrestlemania is cringeworthy. That match was shit, and won match of the year, wasn't even the best match of the night.

I'd completely forgotten about that match with Vince and HBK. How in the hell was that match of the year? I'm sorry Becca but Shocky is right. HBK at Mania is overrated. He's put on some classics, but he's had some awful ones as well. This was his worst ever there. Edge and Foley though, classic.

Two good matches, that is all. Edge vs. Foley, and Mickie vs. Trish.

The rest of the show was garbage.

The introductions were stupid, but the match itself was very good.

The story it told was tremendous, and Triple H and Cena played those fans very well and their belief that "Cena can't wrestle". Starting off with Triple H "out-wrestling" Cena, to Cena "brawling back"...back and forth..and then right before Triple H gets Cena, Cena uses "wrestling" moves to beat Triple H. First the drop toe hold and then the submission finisher.

Very solid match, and very good story.

By the way, how was the Undertaker match that night?

Much more enjoyable then Cena vs. Triple H. I'll take the Undertaker diving over the top rope for cheap heat then cena and Triple H trading punches.

Edge vs. Foley

Ah, yes forgot that was at WM22, for some reason I was thinking that was WM23

I never saw what was so great about HBK/Vince match, it was just HBK completely dominating the whole time, nothing more than a glorified sqaush really, the match was absolutely pointless, perhaps HBK should have watched what Shane and Hogan did in there WM matches with Vince, at least those matches were ya know good

The Undertaker match that night with Henry was ok, which is far more impressive than Cena and HHH. Those two are both good workers and they worked together for a pretty good match. Taker carried Henry to an average match. Watch the casket match. Henry gives Taker nothing at all to work with.

Hogan vs. McMahon at WM XIX was amazing and bad ass to say the least. Easily McMahons best match, and Hogan's best match this decade.

I'd forgotten about that match and you're right. The leg drop made me freak out, simply amazing. That was 3 years ago and McMahon was 6 months away from his 60s and he pulled that off. Throw in Piper in a total shocker and nothing short of great.

Kane and The Big Show defeated Carlito and Chris Masters Meh.
Rob Van Dam defeated Shelton Benjamin, Ric Flair, Finlay, Matt Hardy and Bobby Lashley. Not bad, not good.
John "Bradshaw" Layfield (with Jillian Hall) defeated Chris Benoit Solid.
Edge (with Lita) defeated Mick Foley Enjoyable.
The Boogeyman defeated Booker T and Sharmell Loved it.
Mickie James defeated Trish Stratus Meh, it's a Trish match.
The Undertaker defeated Mark Henry Typical Taker Mania match.
Shawn Michaels defeated Vince McMahon Good, but nothing more.
Rey Mysterio defeated Kurt Angle and Randy Orton Awesome for a 6 minute iMPACT match.
Torrie Wilson defeated Candice Michelle Meh.
John Cena defeated Triple H Dull.

Good Mania if you ask me. Better than the more memorable, earlier ones.

The Taker match was shit, just like most of his other WM matches against SHW are shit, but then comparing Taker/Henry, a match between legand and legit ME draw and a mid card fatass that has never had a good match in his entire fucking career to Cena/Trips, a ME match with two of the companies top guys is just silly

I thought that Cena/Triple H's Vengeance match from this year was far better than there WM22 match, but then I don't remember much about the WM match since I haven't seen it in a couple years

Hardly. To take Henry to an ok match is a lot more impressive than Cena and HHH, two good workers, putting on a good one.

I actually quite liked Cena vs. HHH. It's one of the VERY few matches from HHH I've enjoyed since his return in 2002. I agree the entrances were dumb as hell and the audience was kind of annoying, but other then that, I thought the match was alright. But to be honest though, my expectations for it were REALLY low, so that might have had something to do with it.

And the triple threat only sucked because of the time it was given. If they would've given those guys 25 minutes to work with, I'm sure they would've gave us something special.
