Royal Rumble 2013 Live Discussion - Jan. 27, 2013

Best thing that could happen for me now,Brock cost Rock the match,Ziggler cashes in after Chamber next month guilds Cena into challanging him, setting up a Ziggler vs Cena Brock vs Rock Punk vs Taker Mania

Now that you say that, I could see Punk being the one that actually gets screwed by Brock, and Paul going back to Brock. Or it goes down like you said. That can either set up a Punk face turn, or set up a Brock/Punk/Heyman stable. It makes sense since, Brock hasn't wanted the belt ever since he's been back.

Because it means WWE is leaning towards Rock/Cena II that was reported b the dirt sheets months ago. It's not Cena winning that's the problem, it's that there's a really good chance Punk gets his reign ended either tonight or at EC.

Whether I agree with it or not is different. That just explains the butthurt.
They were leaning that way regardless of who won the Rumble. Rock could have won the Title now, Cena could have won the #1 contendership at the Chamber, or Rock could have won the Rumble and Cena the Championship at EC.

And yeah, a 430+ reign is just fine. The reign wasn't gonna go on forever.

Austin won 3, and Cena isn't on their level. Hogan and Austin were top stars during boom periods, Cena isn't.
Michaels was on top during the biggest downperiod in WWE History.

And I meant 2 or more. And yes, Cena is on their level. How you can blame Cena for his timing is kinda wrong. One man can't turn the company around. Michaels couldn't, and Austin and Hogan didn't, they were merely pieces. Vince McMahon made the popularity explode in the 80's and 90's.

I don't see a dusty finish here. I'm expecting a big match (in longevity and quality) and winning with a Rock Bottom and nothing else. I'm not feeling anybody costing the match, but at the same time I would root for Lesnar to take out Rock, after all they have been mentioning Shield being "banned" or Punk would suffer the consequences, but nothing has been said about Lesnar...

I love how clueless you are.

Please, tell me how Wrestlemania sucks, even before one match on the card is announced again
:lmao: Not only did you spell anomaly wrong, but you didn't understand sarcasm when you read it. Stick with that Haiku thing.

I don't agree with all of this, at least the end part. But...

When Stromtrooper stomps your ass on something, you done fucked up

I still see this ending with the lights going out, Shield surrounding Rock for the tease, then smashing Punk and giving Rock the win.

Notice I never mentioned HBK, while I am a fan of his; I never felt he was on Hogan and Austins level. He just never seemed able to draw those numbers, not that it was his fault. When HBK was on top the WWF was near bankruptcy and getting it's ass kicked by WCW. There wasn't much for him to work with. WWE is better now than it was when HBK was on top.

Where did I blame Cena? I don't recall putting all the blame on him for the WWE's current slump. All I said is he wasn't on Hogan and Austins level, not that he was the sole blame for not creating another boom period.

I turned this match off halfway through. First half of the rumble was much better than recent years. The second half was the same old recent shit.

I hope WWE is concerned that the two biggest faces they have headlining Wrestlemania are being booed in their respective matches.

I like how Punk sells his internal conflict between tapping out or fighting on.

But overall, not a fantastic match. Not bad either, though.
