Raw SuperShow LD 23/04/2012 - Car-Enthusiast John Cena Celebrates Turns 35 in Motown

Brock Lesnar definitely has a presence that you can feel just sitting at home watching him on your TV set. Nothing about him seems artificial; when he's doing anything, it looks real. When he beat up Josh Matthews, it felt real. When he was out there during the signing, acting like an egotistical bossy prick, it definitely felt real. BTW, his promo wasn't that bad.

He has us believing John Cena is actually scared and he also has me actually, personally wanting Cena to set him straight, because he is such an asshole. I know Lesnar'll probably win though, which is probably the best way to go.

I liked Brock's speech tonight and thought it was some of his best work. I don't know why everyone is ripping on it. His promos in 2002-2004 were just awful. This is definitely a step up. He will never be The Rock on the mic. He's the kind of guy the speaks through actions and I'm fine with that.

Apart from CM Punk's promo with Jericho I felt that RAW was awful. I fast forwarded quite a bit of it.

He is the kind of guy who speaks through actions...........which is why he shouldn't be getting 15 minutes of mic time. There's "real" in that you aren't perfect on a microphone but what we saw last night was an embarrassment. I know the goal is to get people to want Cena to beat his ass, but not because they just want him to stop talking. Remember that CM Punk did a similar speech last year when he was negotiating with Vince? Remember how it was watchable and coherent? This wasn't.

If you want Brock to work out, have him do less. Just beat people up and say very little. The more he talks, the more he's exposed and the more bad segments we will get.

I couldn't sleep last night so I clicked through the show. Can't believe people didn't like Brock's promo at the end. I thought it was by far the best thing I saw on the show. I thought he pulled it off believably and then some. Much more convincing than Punk and Cena attempting to act throughout the show and having me laugh at them as usual. I definitely liked that they had him break away from Ace because I just didn't see the point of that. Pretty much saved my interest in the match so I am glad I watched it. I assume they screwed something up with that Josh Matthews thing because it looked stupid.

Other thoughts:
-Edge gave a decent promo and looked slightly less like a douche with his haircut this time
-People that thought Beth was actually injured aren't allowed to us the s in front of mark for a month
-CM Drunk stuff wasn't nearly as good as I was hoping
-I like when that guy says power to the people
