WrestleZone Forums once again holds it's weekly live discussion for Monday Night Raw, where tonight, it is the beginning of the second most exciting time of the year in WWE, SummerSlam time. As of last night, CROSSFIT JESUS, MASTER OF HA HA HAAA HAHAHAHA, THE FUTURE, THE ARCHITECT, THE MAN, SETH FUCKING ROLLINS is back, and he's coming to save us all from Roman Reigns. But what we don't know is what the plans are for AJ Styles, Gallows and Anderson, The New Day, and other that had matches on last night's card. In addition to Seth Rollins' return, there are also huge names that we are waiting to see come back to television. Stars such as John Cena, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt are all on the sidelines, but are due back soon. Brock Lesnar is also due back in a couple of weeks but it's unknown at this time if he will be returning to television after working that show in Hawaii. It's also unclear whether or not WWE will promote just the one Money In The Bank Ladder Match on that pay-per-view. There's room for both a WWE Title defence by Roman Reigns and another ladder bout to determine a new top contender for his title.
Whatever the company do decide to do, they should have Reigns address Money In The Bank on Monday Night Raw. By doing so, attention starts to turn to the show on June 19, and it also gives Reigns the chance to arrogantly state that he's looking forward to a night off.
Then, WWE can write Shane or Stephanie McMahon to announce a title defence at some point. For now, simply having the champ come out on Raw and quickly talk about Money In The Bank would suffice. Fans on social media seem to believe that Sasha Banks will be the top challenger for Charlotte's WWE Women's Title at SummerSlam. Banks hasn't been featured too heavily recently, almost like the creative team have been trying to distance her from everything else that's going on in the title scene.
A celebration by Charlotte following last night feels a bit obvious, placing her in a match which also allows others to shine seems like the best course of action. Dana Brooke has recently made her debut, but she's without a regular partner due to an injury to Emma, until last night where she interfered on behalf of Charlotte. Tonight the best course of action would be a tag match between Charlotte and Dana Brooke against Natalya and either Becky Lynch or Paige
After Charlotte and Dana Brooke defeated Natalya and Becky Lynch/Paige, Stephanie McMahon should make her way out and state that Charlotte needs a new challenge. The best way to establish that would-be top contender is in a tournament involving the cream of the women's division. Amongst those entering would be none other than Sasha Banks.
This could lead to some truly competitive and exciting matches, with both semi-finals promised for Money In The Bank and the final for Battleground in late-July. Obviously, that's a lot of build for each of these matches, but it allows WWE the chance to put importance on actually winning the tournament.
Since The Miz escaped from Extreme Rules with the Intercontinental Title, he'll be in a bragging mood come Raw tonight. This represents a great opportunity to promote Miz TV and even make a main event match out of it.
Firstly self-congratulating himself for a job well done at the pay-per-view, Miz would welcome his bevvy of guests onto his show. Amongst those given the platform to speak would be Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho (stemming from their Asylum Match) and Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Kevin Owens (The Miz's challengers for the Intercontinental gold).
Hyped up as the biggest Miz TV ever, things would naturally turn sour. Suddenly things would break down into a brawl, involving everyone out there aside from Maryse. Looking to restore order, Shane McMahon would come out and try to top Stephanie's prior announcement by putting together a 6-man tag-team main event for Raw. Making things even more interesting, Shane could then say that the winning trio would earn their way into the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. That ups the stakes on the 6-man, something Michael Cole on commentary would repeatedly recant to those watching. If nothing else, it'd be a hell of a match.
Kevin Owens and The Miz would find it hard to get along, due to them being opponents just 24 hours before at Extreme Rules. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho adds more problems by claiming to be the leader of the heel squad. Over on the other side of the ring, Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn and Cesaro look on incredulous.
A communication breakdown causing their demise, Jericho, Owens and The Miz could then fail to work together well enough to get the win. Straight away, WWE then have 3 spots filled for Money In The Bank, with heels then desperately looking to earn entry into the ladder brawl.
Watching the entire match from the commentary table, Shane could assess that this is what his 'new era' is all about.
After the main event, Shane enters the ring and once again repeats what he had said on guest commentary. Matches like that one are exactly what he wants to see on Monday Night Raw. Suddenly, Triple H's music would hit, and 'The Game' would stroll down the aisle to confront Shane.
This is something WWE may have already had planned for Extreme Rules, but it wouldn't stop the same situation from occurring on Monday Night Raw too. Questioning Shane's party line, Triple H then claims that things were better when he and Stephanie were in charge. Obviously, this would lead to a stern disagreement between he and Shane.
Going nose-to-nose aggressively, Triple H and Shane would have to be broken up by Vince McMahon. Also coming to butt in, Stephanie could even be pushed aside by Shane, angering Triple H.
No match between the pair needs to be announced on Raw, there's plenty of time for that. This would simply get the ball rolling towards SummerSlam, providing a final power struggle on Raw before that event.
And that's my booking analysis for this week.
Here's to what hopefully is a good show.
