Ongoing Thread For Smarmy Spam Responses to the WZT

What the hell is with Psychoblack's posts? Why does he need to bring up his college education in the case of a fictitious wrestling tournament? It's more or less pasting that marine copypasta

It's not appropriate to put it in the actual thread, so I'll just say my piece here.

Misawa died from taking a belly to back suplex... how the hell would he survive the TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER? The Undertaker literally kills this gook ten times out of ten. Literally.

:lmao:

You don't have to get the appeal, but he's better than Misawa.

I had no idea Undertaker was the top draw of the WWE. Of course he's bigger than guys like Austin/Rock/Hogan. Don't be stupid. At the end of it all the guy's nothing but a glorified novelty act.

Jeffue are you serious? Misawa worked a full-time schedule (105-110 shows a year) for 18 years straight. When the fuck was the last time The Undertaker even worked a full-time schedule? Call The Undertaker smarter than Misawa all you want since he is at least when it comes to his health, but to call into question his durability in the ring is complete bullshit.

Glorified novelty act is a serious understatement of what the Undertaker is. The reason the WWF never pushed the Undertaker as the guy is because that gimmick is not meant to be sold as the main guy. He was/is a special attraction, in the same way that Andre the Giant was the special attraction before him.

The Undertaker has been in the Upper to Main Event level in the WWF for 22 years. Think how ridiculously long that is in comparison to all of the people that have worked for that company. He may have never been the guy, but he's the only person that has taken titles off of Prime Hogan and Prime Austin.

The ridiculous arguments against Batista have swayed me in his favor. AJ supporters and Punk detractors have that same ******* attitude that drives me away.

Most of the posts in this tourney are painful to read. If you incorporate the wrestler's catchphrases and shit into your post, you're a ******.

I'm genuinely torn on Vader vs Mysterio. Vader's supporters glibly treating Rey like an afterthought is a huge turn-off and I can't see myself voting that way if I don't see more convincing arguments in that thread. Similarly, I want to see some Mysterio fans make a decent case for him because in spite of everything IC's done to make Vader a big deal on this board, this isn't the sort of match Rey's camp needs to lay down and die on.

That thread has been a huge disappointment so far. I need Tasty or NorCal.

Reread it again and think about how much you know about me.

That post simply illustrates a certain mind-set that a lot of 'Taker voters have but don't have the balls to express and instead come up with reasoning that's just as dumb.

All right, apologies for the misinterpretation. It was carry-over from the shit I had to read in the thread.

But Misawa was the top draw, in a promotion that was making allot of money; that should put him above Taker who was never billed as a top draw..

Misawa worked the main event of both All Japan and Noah from the early 90's until his death in 2009. What's your point? Mine is that Misawa was a quality draw for a long time, while Taker was a quantitative draw, but never got top billing.

Quality > Quantity

Yet by doing so you are voting for someone that looks like a ****** and is a million times more ******* than AJ

I was trying not to come off like that, but I really can't picture how Rey would beat Vader. Most of the big guys that Rey beats are the slow, lumbering kind. Vader doesn't fit that mold.

I was leaning towards Batista, and I'm still yet to be swayed. How hard is it to prove one was a bigger attraction than the other?

So speed puts someone over Mysterio? I hardly see how. If anything, Vader's speed just means that the same old power vs resourcefulness match happens a bit quicker than it otherwise would. But Vader's speed doesn't change the game.

And on the flipside of that coin, one needs to consider that Vader isn't accustomed to men of Rey's size being so successful in the heavyweight ranks. If you think Vader could surprise Rey, it's worth being mindful of the fact that Rey is an equally novel opponent for the Vader.

You see it as clear cut. But I've yet to be convinced of that. Don't give me big man vs small man talk like everyone else in that thread. Talk to me about Mysterio vs Vader rather than throwing around glib punchlines about how one flattens people or one always overcomes the odds.

It means Rey can't run circles around Vader as easily as he could other big men.

You make a good point about Vader being used to Rey. I still can't see Rey's offense doing that much damage to Vader. Even the 619 hasn't been established as an overly dominant finisher. The Vader Bomb, on the other hand, would be extremely effective on someone less than half of Vader's size.

All that means is he can take more moves, which actually gives Rey more ways to beat him. See what he did when he was "just a Cruiserweight."

Rey probably drew more money too. Can't say that is my go to criteria but the simpletons love that shit.

Never said Rey is "just a Cruiserweight." Reading is fundamental.

Bam Bam wasn't a big deal at all in WCW, so that doesn't matter much at all. I don't like the drawing money argument either, but I appreciate you using that when Styles vs. Batista is out there right now.

I didn't say you did, there generally seems to be a lot of convenient lack of memory, beyond inaccurate cliches, about what people did in WCW these days. But you might need to practice your fundamentals because you said big and not slow, not "a big deal." I appreciate you using that though when a Vader match is out there.

Funny; I seem to remember Shawn Michaels being quick and resourceful enough to get around Vader, and pick up a win.

If Shawn was able to do it, why shouldn't I believe Rey couldn't. I'm sure people would believe Shawn's offense wouldn't do much to Vader, but it seems he came out all right in those matches

AJ is the prototype twink. He looks just like a guy you'd see in gay porn.

Not that I would know or anything.

Batista headlined a Wrestlemania against Triple H. He, at that moment, was the top face in the company. 940,000 PPV buys. Has AJ drawn that many PPV buys in his career?

I'm not saying that really proves anything nor am I even saying Batista should win. Just that it would take some convincing to make me believe that AJ was even half as big an attraction as Batista was.

I just think it is hilarious how Vince has twisted so many people's minds. It is all # of WWE title reigns and WWE perceived win percentage unless someone is noticeably bigger. Chips of the old block.

Speaking of drawing, does it drive anyone else crazy how there is no concept of opportunity cost or baseline factored in to how most people "calculate" it?
