Official Wrestle Mania 23 Thread.

Personally, I think that on paper, this WM can be a lot better...

First of all, the New Breed vs The Originals should be elimination & extreme rules (IMO)

second thing is the Kane vs Khali match... I wanna see sum kinda specialty match, besides the fact that Khali in any singles match will suck, but look at the build up... Khali breaks Kane through the security wall, chair attacks, Kane uses the hook, etc. I think it would be much more appropriate to have a Street Fight, or possibly sum other kinda match... Maybe even a "hook" match lol like a biker chain match where u have 2 get the hook.

One match that I really wanna see happen would be some kinda multi tag team match (gauntlet/turmoil, battle royal, elimination, etc.) I wanna see all the tag teams from all brands in a match and I wanna see a 1 NIGHT APA REUNION (can start on Monday when JBL wrestles HBK), where they dominate again... (I mean 1 night only!)

I also wanna see a tri-brand CW match w/ all of the CW's (possibly excluding Daivari cus Kane/Khali)

do you think hogan will get involved some how at wm At thehire vs haire

Wrestlemania this year is looking a bit bland. Not as many matches, IMO. But the two world title matches and the MITB will make it worth seeing. Here's who I see winning and why:

United States Championship: Chris Benoit (C) vs. MVP
Personally, I don't really care for this match, since I don't really watch Smackdown anymore. But if I have to choose, I'd say MVP would find a way to steal the championship. Think it would be nice to have him as U.S. champ.

Winner: MVP (New Champion)

Single's Match: Kane vs. The Great Khali
This one should bore me to death. Just two big monsters clashing. But I will have to go with Khali on this one. I mean if Kane can't beat Umaga, what makes one think he can beat Khali?

Winner: The Great Khali

Women's Championship Match: Melina (C) vs. Ashley
I don't see Ashley winning this match at all. Women matches in WWE bore me to death anyway since it's more scratching and clawing and not punching and kicking. Melina will still be the champ when it's all set and done, though.

Winner: Melina (Still Champion)

Eight Man Tag: ECW Originals vs. New Breed
Don't care for this match since I don't watch ECW either. At least not the WWE style ECW. I guess I'll go with the Originals on this one.

Winners: ECW Originals

Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Edge, CM Punk, King Booker, Jeff Hardy, Mr. Kennedy, Matt Hardy, Finlay, and Randy Orton
This is one of the highlights of the night. This match should come before the two big title matches. I expect TONS of high risk, acrobatic flips and spins in this one. But when it boils down to it, either Edge or Randy Orton will have a guaranteed title shot sometime down the road.

Winner: Either Edge or Randy Orton

Battle Of The Billionaries: Bobby Lashley (representing Donald Trump) vs. Umaga (representing Vince McMahon) (Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin)
As much as I want Bobby Lashley to win this match, I just don't see it happening, sadly. Umaga only has two losses on his record (both to John Cena) and of course Estrada will be there. Stone Cold may be the difference maker here, but if he calls it straight down the middle, Umaga will win. Which will mean Donald Trump will go straight to the barber's chair.

Winner: Umaga (representing Vince McMahon)

WWE Championship Match: John Cena (C) vs. Shawn Michaels
Shawn deserves another title run. It's time for Cena's status as champ to end. But it just won't happen at Wrestlemania 23. I see Cena retaining the title here.

Winner: John Cena (Still Champion)

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Batista (C) vs. Undertaker
The same thing applies in this match: Undertaker deserves another title run. It's time for Batista's status as champ to end. But unlike the WWE Championship match, I DO see the Undertaker prevailing. His undefeated streak is NOT ready to be broken here.

Winner: Undertaker (New Champion)

1)The Undertaker VS Batistia
- I think Batista wins this match by DQ

2) John Cena VS HBK
- HBK wins and becomes new championsm, rematch at backlash!

3) Money In The Bank
- MR KENNEDY this re-sparks the Taker and Kennedy feud..

4) ECW Originals VS The New Breed
- The New Breed wins its a good way to build up their future of ecw since most of the orginals are being let go. What better way to do it than on the grandest stage of them all.

5) Melina VS Ashley
- Melina retains no questions asked

6) Kane VS The Great Khali
- Great Khali kane always loses at mania.

7) Lashley Vs Umaga
- Lashley DOMINATES he will win Vince goes bald

8) MVP VS Benoit
- Mvp becomes new us champ and benoit is moved to raw to feud with either cena or hbk

I'm disappointed with this year's Mania. Sure, I'm pumped about the title matches and the MITB, but the women's match and the Kane/Khali snore-fest will bring it down. What's left is the ECW match, which could be entertaining, but should be an extreme rules match at least; Benoit vs MVP which might be okay because Benoit's in it but I don't care much for MVP - his gimmick does nothing for me.

As far as the Battle of the Billionaires goes... I'm sick of it already. I've hated all of the build up - the long McMahon promos on every single show, including SD and ECW; the lack of live appearances from the Donald, the lack of live appearances/anything from Stone Cold, etc etc. Plus, Umaga vs Lashley has the potential to be another snore-fest, as it's just a clash of big men again (although slightly forgiven by Lashley's amateur background). I don't like that fact that this match seems to be overshadowing everything we see now, there's all the mainstream exposure and it annoys me that Vince seems to care about it so much that he's created such a weak undercard.

And 8 matches? If I remember correctly, last year there were 12 or so matches?

This Wrestlemania seems to me like a glorified SummerSlam.

Chris Benoit vs MVP for the United States Title

As much as I want Benoit to retain the US title, I feel that somehow, MVP will end up winning the title

ECW Originals vs The New Breed

I think here, the ECW Originals will end up winning

Melina vs Ashley for the Women's Title

I think this will be another successful title defence for Melina

Kane vs The Great Khali

In a battle of the monsters, I think Khali will end up winning the match

Bobby Lashley vs Umaga

I think that Lashley will defeat Umaga here. It would be interesting to see a baldheaded Vincent Kennedy McMahon :)

Money in the Bank (Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Edge, Randy Orton, Mr Kennedy, King Booker, CM Punk & Finlay)

This should be good. Could possibly end up being the best match on the PPV. I'm going with Jeff Hardy to win which may surprise some people if they see this

John Cena vs Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title

I think that Cena will retain the WWE title in a good match. Wouldn't be surprised at all if this leads to a rematch

Batista vs The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Title

In what should be the main event, I think that Undertaker's Wrestlemania record of 14-0 will become 15-0 by winning the World Heavyweight Title. I'll be honest with all of you, I hope that when the day Undertaker retires, he'll still have a 0 in the Wrestlemania losses column

Ken Kennedy will win the Money in the Bank match but of course no Carlito vs Ric FLair match it would have been the last match and last Wrestlemania for FLAIR ! As for Melina and Ashley I hate the bitch I rather see Melina vs Candice Michjelle or Mickie James! Lastly there are no cruiserweight matches and not tag team matches on the WM Card ! It will suck but now there is a rumor that X pac might interfere on the John Fagboy Cena vs HBK match at WM thus costing JOhn Fagboy Cena the title and as for the guy dissing Batista fans hell if HHH didn t recognize his talent and added him on Evolution he would have been a noone till now! YOu say we worship Batistas body and putting all wrestling fans we look and strength and agility and power he has it all to END THE STREAK OF UNDERFAKER!
He is younger than the 48 yo OLD MAN GHOST that wears teh same makeup and trenchcoat for over 16 years so yawwwwwwwwwwwwn
He is boring he has no wrestling moves as Batista has many moves
Underfaker has no moves so just like Batista beat HHH in HELL in teh CELL Match and many underestimated him he will be underestimated again when he beats the Underfaker
Batista has it all UNLEASH THE BEAST ON THE GHOST

Here you undertaker haters go calling him a fake. Well let me tell you there have not been but maybe five guys in the whole wwwf/wwf/wwe that could lace Takers boots or even carry his jock!! He has been the stable man in wwe for over 17 years. You will be eating your words after sunday. 1,2,3....and the NEW world heavyweight champion The Undertaker!!!!!!! R.I.P Justinightmare911!!!!

My main prediction is that this pay per view, like many of its predecessors recently is going to let all of you down and disappoint true wrestling fans once again. I will be watching the replays for free on wwe television. As far as what I would want to happen... I would pull for Melina/Taker/HBGay (only by default)/MVP (also like Benoit) /Khali ( also like Kane)/Umaga/New Breed of Boredom/All the so called heels in the money in the bank ladder match.

So tell me where in the blue fucking hell do you come up with this crap?, first off RVD hasn't come out and said he's signing with TNA, Jericho isn't ready to come back to wrestling yet, Mysterio still signed to WWE and pretty sure he's not leaving anytime soon, Big Show isn't going anywhere near a wrestling ring in the next few years he's tired and burned out, as far as I know Goldberg and TNA don't want to work together, the only reason Hogan isn't in WWE is because he got in troble for leaking HOF inductees on the radio, now he has no choice but to try and get signed to TNA if he wants to wrestle, and I don't see that happening, no one ever said Trish and Lita are heading to TNA yet Scott Hall isn't in any shape to wrestle any thing but a cheeseburger, and Sean Waltman is signed to WSX, and Bret Hart was only looking into makeing a few appearances and that was a while ago and never happened, and the Rock ha, LMAO, the Rock is done with wrestleing and has never even mentioned TNA ever, the only reason why Rock has to still say that he is done with wrestling in every interveiw is because of dipshits like you who keep saying he's comeing back, he's not, he's fucking done!!!!
Like I said in anther thread research your shiot before you post it you fucking donkey-rapping ass fuck!!!:twak:

Thank God someone has some sence. That guy is talking outta his ass!

X-Pac to come back and make John Cena loose? This sounds pretty strange. Ive heard nothing about it, and I thought they would want to make Cena face?!...Well would be damn amazing to say the least!

My Prediction's

World Heavyweight Champion Batista vs. Undertaker

I doubt they will end Taker's undefeated streak. It's unlikley anybody will ever match it. It just seem's pointless for him to loose to somebody who's probably not going to be with WWE in a few year's.

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels

I'd obviously prefer HBK to win. But Cana also has an undefeated streak. I see him making it 4-0. If anybody surpasses Taker's streak it will probably be Cena.

Battle of the Billionaires

One of the most predictable match's in history. I expect Umaga to fail in carrying Lashley. I also expect the crowd to turn on him. And I also see a Umaga face turn. I think Vince will berate Umaga, then Umaga will knock him out. I also expect both Umaga & Lashley to come out looking no better off by being associated with Vince, Austin & Trump.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match

In my opinion there's only three possible winner's. Orton, Edge & Kennedy. Edge & Orton are the two top heel's on Raw anyway. And there going to start feuding properly soon. Kennedy win's after Orton & Edge cost each other the victory.

ECW Originals vs. New Breed

Another predictable match. WWE will want there version of ECW to go over. This match would be so much better if they could just have a brawl. All the ECW Original's are compitent brawler's. And Monty Brown had some awesome Fall's Count Anywhere match's in TNA. And Striker isnt that bad.

Women's Champion Melina vs. Ashley

I'll go with Melina.

Kane vs. The Great Khali

This is the one match where I'm really not sure who will win. I honestly could'nt say. Although this is the one match that I'm really looking forward to. It's going to be a complete clusterfuck.

United States Champion Chris Benoit vs. MVP

Rumour's are that Benoit is going to Raw. I still think he'll win though. I suspect he'll drop the title on the Smackdown after Mania.

Overall it look's like a completley useless show. I expect HHH to come out and cut a long boring promo. Which could have given Carlito and Flair a match instead.

This is quite possibly the weakest WrestleMania card in recent years. I think even 2000 had a better line-up than this. Personally, I think that the Undertaker is way, way past his prime, everything he does and says he's done and said hundreds of times before but if Batista beats him, I'll stop watching WWE forever. And I can't believe they've put "Mr. WrestleMania" Shawn Michaels with John Cena. How is he supposed to put on one of his genuine match of the year candidates with this army soldier/wannabe rapper/what-the-hell-ever!? The Money in the Bank is the only match I see promise in but whose dumbass idea was it to keep Shelton Benjamin out!? At least it has the faint prospect of changing the face of RAW from Cena to (please God!) Edge or Orton. Who am I kidding? It's never going to happen.

And Vince McMahon vs. Donald Trump, Hair vs. Hair!? Only in America.

Match Winners for Mania:

Women's Championship - don't really care but I hate Melina. She probably will win but I like Ashley better

Kane vs. The Great Khali - I would rather see Kane win instead of The Great "all I do is chop, headbutt, put my arms up and yell" Khali. I see Kane getting a WHC run sometime later this year too - he deserves it.

ECW Originals vs. New Breed - Who really cares anyway about this? As was said before it should be a battle royal and extreme rules. I see RVD hitting the 5 star on somebody and getting the victory.

United States Championship - Benoit, Benoit, Benoit! Hopefully he'll carry MVPuke to a decent match, then move to Raw and become WWE Champion.

Battle Of The Billionaires - I'd love to see Trump bald but don't see it happening. They are trying to make ECW and it's champion look good so Lashley will beat Umaga and McMahon will be bald. Maybe Umaga will be "fired" and then turn face and destroy McMahon.

Money In The Bank - Honestly I think anyone could win this except for Finlay. I don't think they'll have CM Punk win, unless he wins and challenges for the WWE or WHC. Orton and Edge will feud after Mania and Matt Hardy is midcard. I see either Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, or Booker winning. Hopefully not King Sucker though. I see Jeff Hardy winning and maybe going to ECW and challenging Lashley or Kennedy winning and taking on Batista/Undertaker at Survivor Series.

World Heavyweight Championship - Ending Taker's streak will be the biggest disgrace ever in WWE. I like both Taker and Batista though. I think this match will be a brawl with Taker prevailing and becoming a 5 time champion and first time World Heavyweight Champion. He'll hold it until the Royal Rumble and drop it to either the MITB winner, Batista or Kennedy if he doesn't win the MITB.

WWE Championship - I will hate WWE forever if they let Mr. Wrestlemania lose to John "I'm a huge joke" Cena. HBK deserves a respectable last title run as he is one of if not the very best performers in the history of the WWE. He should win and hold the title until at least Summerslam or Survivor series and then drop it to either Edge, Triple H, or the winner of the MITB.

overall not a great show really but if Taker and HBK win I'll be happy. I will be satisfied with anyone winning the money in the bank except for finlay or booker.

(on a side note, when the hell are they ever gonna induct Owen Hart into the HOF? should be soon)

This is how I think they will lay out tonight's show.

Firts Match:

Chris Benoit vs. MVP.

I think they will want to open the show with a match that actually mean's something. I say mean's something but what I really mean is a title match.

Second Match:

New Breed vs. ECW Original's.

This match is nothing more than filler. I dont expect it to be anything special.

Third Match:

Money In The Bank.

I think the crowd will have cooled down by now so they will want a match that will get them going again.

Fourth Match:

Battle Of The Billionaire's.

They wont want to put this close to the main event's as Austin will likley steal there heat.

Fifth Match:

Kane vs. The Great Khali.

The crowd will be worn out after cheering Austin's celebration for about 30 min's straight. Nobody really care's about this match so it will give the fan's time to recover.

Sixth Match:

Batista vs. The Undertaker.

This should go on last, but thet's not the case.

Seventh Match:

Ashley vs. Melina.

They will need to give the crowd time to recover after Taker's title victory. Well I hope a Taker title victory.

Eight Match:

John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels

It's a stupid way to end the show if HBK doesnt get the title. I expect Cena to get booed out the building.

Other Prediction's:

A Triple H appearence. Possibly a very long interview during the middle of the show. Or he come's out with HBK and try's to steal his heat.

A comedy segment in the middle of the show with Eugene.

Snitzky coming out and completley burying the Original's after the match.

After Melina's vicort I expect her to either be stripped down to ber underwear, or Ashley to strip herself. Cheap heat tactic's.

The Battle Of The Billionaire's will get aboy 3 promo's before the match. And the match plus head shaving will take up nearly a whole hour. And even though Lashley win's., He'll come out of it looking no better off than he did before.

Both the main event's will go on too long. And Taker will not be able to carry Batista.

Wrestlemania seems very weak to me; there are only 3 matches I am interested in - MITB and the title matches.

Anyway my predictions:

WWE Championship - John Cena vs Shawn Michaels
I'm annoyed that this will reportedly be the final match on the card, considering that it was Undertaker who won the Royal Rumble, so he should main event 'Mania. However I guess Vince just sees Raw as the "A" brand of WWE so their title match must go last. This should be a good competitive match and I'm that HBK's performance can step up John Cena's. I can see this going either way - Cena wins because they want to prove that he is the big thing by having him beat HHH and HBK at straight Wreslemanias... or HBK wins for one last run.
My Pick - HBK Shawn Michaels

World Heavyweight Championship - Batista vs Undertaker
I'll go right out and say what I think most other WWE fans are saying: Undertaker must win this. I really can't understand the logic behind having Batista end 'Taker's streak - there's no 'legend killer' or 'streak killer' gimmick; and it's not like he needs to be pushed any harder. I don't see what ending the streak will do for his popularity - apart from making everyone hate him. Batista will be booed throughout this match, and if he wins, we could have some pretty ugly scenes at Ford Field. As far as the match goes, I think it could be an entertaining one with some gripping false finishes and the typical Undertaker spots. Here's hoping it's better than the fact that Batista's in it suggests.
My Pick - Undertaker

Battle of the Billionaires - Umaga vs Bobby Lashley
I'm fearful that this match could be given way too much time. Short, direct, to-the-point and intense is the way to go with this one. No one wants to see too much of Bobby Lashley vs Umaga. A Vince hair-shave looks like the most impactful outcome - they could develop it past the actual match and into storylines on Raw - wheras The Donald could just go away and flaunt his baldness elsewhere. This should be an intense brawl between the two and with a fired-up Austin, expect a few Stunners. Some could argue that they wouldn't have Umaga lose, but just look at how much they've been pushing Lashley recently.
My Pick - Bobby Lashley

Money in the Bank Ladder Match - Randy Orton vs Mr Kennedy vs Finlay vs Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy vs King Booker vs CM Punk vs Edge
Rumour has it that it's between Kennedy, Edge and Orton to win this. I don't believe Edge will win it - he won it in 2005 of course and has already had his year or so in the title picture. Orton is a possibility because his only title reign was back in 2004, but my pick for this match is Kennedy. He's got such a great gimmick and I really think he deserves a title run - maybe not straight after Mania but remember he's got a whole year. The Hardys are probably just in there for the incredible spots they'll pull off. King Booker I'm not sure about - he could be a contender, but he's only recently lost the title back in November so there's probably no hurry to give it back to him. CM punk will be the fan favourite but it's too early for him to win the big one, in my opinion. Expect a show stealer.
My Pick - Mr Kennedy

ECW Originals vs The New Breed - 4 v 4 Tag Match
Why isn't this match extreme rules? Hardly the best way to represent Extreme Championship Wreslting on the grandest stage of them all. Anyway with the direction of ECW; the very fact that this match is not extreme rules; and the bleak futures of all the originals in the company, I've got to go with the New Breed. I just hope it doesn't go too long and bore the hell out of me, as I don't watch ECW. For a non-ECW fan, I want to see how good all these superstars actually are. Apparently Elijah Burke is the star of this angle so expect to see him get the win.
My Pick - The New Breed

Women's Championship Lumberjill Match - Melina vs Ashley
Unfortunately most people will see this match as a bathroom break, and I want these two divas to give me a reason not go and do something else during this match. I've not hated the build-up and Melina is a good worker, so I think this should be a decent divas match, particularly with the element of the lumberjills around the ring. Could go either way but I'm going with Melina
My Pick - Melina

Kane vs The Great Khali
What exactly is the point of this match? I don't get the relevance of another big man match. The build-up has been exciting but I don't get the hook thing - is it really realistic that Kane is going to use a hook in the ring against Khali? I'm also not liking the fact that Khali is in the match, I mean, it's Khali. Live. On the grandest stage of them all. Versus another big man. I'm a huge Kane fan and have been since his debut, but it pains me to see him in yet another lower-card match at Mania. This could be a snore-fest if they try to do it 'by the book' but I expect to see something of a brawl around the ring on this one. Rumours suggest that we're to expect an injury angle with Kane because he wants to take some time off, so I see Khali winning this. But at least give us a no-DQ match, as I can see it now: Khali wins due to Kane using a hook and getting DQ'd. Or they could try to ressemble an ECW title match by having it end via countout.
My Pick - The Great Khali

US Championship - Chris Benoit vs MVP
Ok so MVP has momentum after beating all these 'world champions' on Smackdown, so I think that he could steal this one. Benoit's had the title for a while now and hasn't really done much with it, and MVP is a rising star so the US title is good for him. There's also talk of Benoit going to Raw after Mania so obviously he'll have to drop the title. Should be a decent match
My Pick - MVP

Yes I will be ordering the show because although it's got its downsides, it should have some excellent matches and it's apparently got this incredibly tall stage that can morph for different people's entrances or something like that. Looks weak on paper so I'm hoping that the undercard exceeds my expectations.

Well, i've gone ahead and regretfully ordered it. I shall record it then watch it later, I just can't see it being good enough to stay up and watch.

I think they should just throw the pre-show battle royal on the card. People like Nitro, Flair & Helms deserve to be on the card. It's not like the card is completley overloaded. Ashley/Melina will be less than 10 minute's. Khali/Kane wont go much past 10. And I cant see the New Breed/Original's match going past 15 minute's. Or just put Flair/Carlito on the card. There's been some build toward's it so why not.

Okay well I've gone ahead and decided to never ever ever ever ever ever EVER buy another WWE PPV again, for the rest of my life, unless I know it'll be worthwhile. Wrestlemania 23 was a joke. There were a few decent matches, and I was even liking what I was seeing until it came time for Batista v. Taker. Now, first off, what the fuck are they doing in the middle of the card? Isn't the point of winning the Royal Rumble that you get to be in the main event of Wrestlemania? Another screwing of a talented worker so that Vince can continue to put Cena over. Anytime you're putting Ashley vs. Melina higher on the card than the World Title match, you're just being ******ed. Now, I could deal with that because it turned out to be much better of a match then I was expecting, with Batista actually almost looking halfway decent in the ring. Then comes the main event.

First off, did we really need that stupid car entrance? Just another case of Vince telling us "Look! Look guys! Look how cool John Cena is! He drives a fast car like a maniac and endangers pedestrians everywhere! Don't you want to be like him?". And anybody that could actually believe Cena did that driving is ******ed. First of all, if it was live than explain why they would have camera's set up at different intersections all through out the city. It was obviously taped like a week ago. And then...Cena. Fucking Cena. This is just getting ridiculious now, VINCE THE FANS ARE TURNING ON HIM! Even the ones who cheered for him are turning on him! Wanna know why? CAUSE HE SUCKS AT EVERYTHING HE DOES, EVER. I doubt Cena could even make a sandwhich without fucking it up. When I saw HBK tap out to Cena, I immediately stopped recording, rewound the tape, and decided to tape over it with a re run of Gerbal Mansion or whatever the hell that show is on Animal Planet. Seriously thats how pissed I was. To make HBK job to Cena in the main event of Wrestlemania is unforgivable, absolutely unforgivable. Like HBK said last night on Raw, YOU ARE NOT THE BETTER MAN.

If I was there I seriously would've tried to start a riot. You would've seen molotov cocktails, seriously thats how pissed I was.

I'm officially never buying any PPV from the WWE again unless it has a live sex match with Lillian Garcia and Mickie James. :D

Wrestlemania 23, an aborition of the world of wrestling. This was the worst Wrestlemania in 12 years.

MITB
Not bad to open the night. This match just dragged on too long. With 8 people you would assume that there would be non stop action. Half this match was spent with everyone over selling big spots. There should always be some sort of action with 8 people in a match. The Jeff Hardy move was sick, but overall, it's getting to be unneccassary. The Green Bay Plunge on Hornswoggle was kick ass. Good to see Kennedy get the win. Honestly though, this match had the wrong people in it.
2/5

Kane vs. Khali
Poor Kane. Kane tried his damnest to get Khali moving, but the big piece of wood just can't sell. I don't blame Khali though, he is just put into this position because Vince has a raging hard on for big men, which means he doesn't need to properly train them to wrestle. My biggest pet peeve in wrestling is hearing the damn ref tell the wrestler what to do, it ruins the damn illusion. So I hear the ref yell chop to Khali and about threw my remote into the tv.
1/5

Chris Benoit vs. MVP
A suprising mat wrestling match at a lackluster card. MVP actually out wrestled Benoit in this match. I like MVP and as soon as he gets the stupid Power Ranger outfit off, he'll move in this company. This match may have been the best of the night, but the ending just seemed choppy and too sudden.
3/5

Batista vs. Undertaker
So lets bury the Royal Rumble winner in the middle of the card. Big Dave Dudd says that this was going to be the show steeler, even compared it to a Ricky the Dragon v. Macho Man match. Hmm, I wonder if Big Dave Dudd even knows who the hell Ricky Steamboat is, because he couldn't even lace his damn boots. Undertaker again controls this match, and big Dave Dudd botches the flying clothesline by standing right underneath the Deadman. What a dumb ass. Sadly, this may have been the best match of the night.
3/5

ECW vs. WWECW
Horrible sloppy match. These matches with 8 guys in it just to have them on the card was ridiculous. The only good thing about this match is what joey styles said, it was nice for the Originals to be able to perform in front of 80,000 fans.
1/5

Battle of the Billionaires.
Lashley showed me something, I can dig him. Just that little stare he gave Austin when he went face to face with him reminded me of Brock. If this guy gets properly packaged and gets ssomeone to be his mouth piece ((Cough Cough, Heyman cough) then he will be a monster. Too dumb big slow guys pounding on each other. How many shoulder blocks does it take to get threw a match. This match depends soley on a 10 year old McMahon/Austin feud to make it interesting. This is just horrible
1/5

Womens Title Match
So we go in one year, from perhaps the best women's match at WM with Trish v. Mickie, to this crap fest stinker at WM 23. No comment
0/5

WWE title
Poor Shawn Michaels. Ole' HBK even looked bad in this match. John Cena can't sell food to a starving Ethiopian kid. HBK works on a leg, and makes it look like Cena is going to grow a 2nd knee cap in it, but then Cena Hulks up without Hulking up. Sloppy slow ass reversals to end this match, and the biggest blasphemy, a tap out victory for Cena. I get why Cena is the face of the company, but I hope Vince loves the boo's his champ gets at every Wrestlemania Main Event for the next 10 years. Hell, Hogan made it 10 years before he started hearing his first boo birds.
1/5

Over all, just a horrible Pay per view. Who the hell booked this crap honestly? The first four matches should have gone last, and maybe it would have flowed a little better.

Its great to see that the WWE did its best to keep anyone with any actual in ring ability off the card this year. This was done intentionally, because maybe people would forget what a real wrestling match would look like if there were no actual wrestling matches on the card. This is why MITB went first and Cena/Michaels went last. There was no show stealing moment. The Hardy bump has been done before, nothing new. Cena's entrances get worse every year, and Lashley v. Umaga was border line Lesnar Goldberg, but I give the advantage to the latter, because at least the New York crowd booed both of them out.

Final Rating
1/5: Worst Wrestlemania since WM 11

John Cena couldn't sell food to a starving Ethiopian kid.

roflmao, that just made my day Shocky.

I know what you mean though, it seems as though they really intentionally tried to piss their fans off this year with a shitty show. Nobody gave a damn about half the matches. The tell tale sign that they just don't give a crap about the fans anymore is that they booked the ECW Originals vs. New Breed match as a regular match, and now they book the same match but with extreme rules tonight? Wow, you really hate your fans WWE. Hey, we could have fans pay quality money for a quality match, or we could just have them pay money for absolute shit and then give them what they paid for for free a few days later. YEAH THAT'LL WIN US FANS!

I honestly think Vince McMahon has become senile in his old age, and needs to step down immediately. God I can't wait for the day when Shane McMahon runs the company, atleast he's got a good head on him like Vince used to until he decided that the fans wanted to see grown men kissing his bare ass and storylines about necrophiliac wrestlers.

*sigh* Why did I come back to wrestling at such a horrible time for the sport?

Well, I was right again. Let's just say that after watching Wrestlemania this year, I want my money back. Funny thing is...I F**KING STOLE IT! Talk about a colossally piss-poor booking order. I also loved JR's comments about how the booking style has changed. God, JR, you are a f**king ******. Hey, J.R., I've got a question for you: If this newfound booking order strategy is so amazingly accepted, then why the hell is business in the commode? Answer me that, you dimwit.

Well, now that's off my chest and I can begin talking about how good this show would've been had I chosen the booking order and me basically crapping over most of it's below-par execution.

MITB - Solid match that belong WAY further up the card. You never start off a PPV with a match like this. Almost nothing can follow it correctly unless it's involving a World Title. Amazing work from Finlay, I must say. I also give mad props to Edge for taking the Swanton and completely eating $hit at Jeff's expense. I'm most impressed with Orton's "night of a thousand RKO's" segment and CM Punk & Kennedy's moments near the end really impressed me.

Kane vs. Khali

This is like taking two turds and mashing them together in your hands to try and build something meaningul. No matter what you try and sculpt from it, it's still made of $hit. Plus, it's so horrible that when you're done, there is still poop in your fingernails. Hell, for me would be to get locked in a room and watch this match and the Ladies Championship match from later in the evening in a perpetual and infinite loop.

Chris Benoit vs. MVP
I will say that this match should've went longer and contained more insane spots as it wore on as the ending was bland and completely lackluster. MVP proved me wrong and then some. I definitely wouldn't mind these two trying to wrestle like this in the future, but what we saw is probably a fluke and will not be duplicated any time soon.

Batista vs. Undertaker
Well, Batista proved me right with this one. Fortunately for me, Callaway brought his A-game and salvaged a potential disaster with a solid performance. Batista still moves like a bicep with eyeballs and I could definitely tell that Taker was calling the spots. I'm so glad Batista lost clean, too. It's the first time I've legitimately smiled at ANY WWE programming in as long as I can remember. The fans were also undeniably against Batista in every way, shape and form. Rightfully so, because his ascension is the company's downfall and needs to be stopped post haste. Runner up as my favorite moment in this was seeing Undertaker bust out the old Superman plancha and knock Dave on his steroid-fueled behind. My favorite point of the match was right after Taker got the win, and he looked straight at referee Charles Robinson and told him to get Batista out of there. Priceless. Ha, ha, Dave. Eat $hit. Loser.

ECW vs. WWECW
Not as bad as I expected, but placing this match after the MITB and not even letting these guys use the typical ECW weapons of choice was f**king lame, to say the least. However, I was tickled pink when the arena joined in the "RVD" chant. The rematch on this last ECW was the match that should've been held at Wrestlemania.

Battle of the Billionaires.
I hate Donald Trump. There, I've said it. With that out of the way, his vocal reactions during this match nearly made me kick my Samsung dead-center (if I was rich enough to do so, I'd have really Bruce Lee'd that motherf**ker). As for the scripting of the match, it was very tight and was honestly the saving grace of a lack of flavor and vocabulary on the part of Lashley. My two favorite bumps in the match each involved Lashley or Umaga shooting through or over the ropes and smacking the outside floor the hard way. I still want to throw up in my mouth a little every time I see Shane's dumb ass rip off the Van Terminator. In summary, this match exceeded my expectations. Too bad I had none.

Womens Title Match
Next.

WWE title
I'm going to be honest. My level of respect for what Michaels can do to a crowd and how well he can elevate someone's game is amazing. Early on in the match, I was amazingly entertained by some of the spots, in particular the first exchanges when Cena was missing and Shawn was lighting his chest up like a Christmas tree. However, my hatred and distaste for Cena and the cumulative direction of the company reached an apex midway through this match. Why, you ask? The largest grievance I have about Cena's $hitty attempt at wrestling was when Shawn laid a $hit-kicking on Cena's left leg (the knee in particular) that'd make Ric Flair jealous (...and I'm talking Flair in his prime). After minutes of getting his leg stomped into oblivion, he just gets up and starts pulling his lame-ass Superman routine like somewhere between here and there he found a new leg. Michaels threw him bones all night long and with this one could've really cemented him, but it went way over John's flat-top. Just so WWE and all the hapless Cena marks can understand: CENA IS A FAILURE. FAILURE. Funny thing when the prime babyface in the company gets booed out of the building and an old burnout has to carry him the distance at Wrestlemania. Oh, and the ending of this match sucked balls. Not just because Cena went over...but because after all the buildup Michaels pretty much orchestrated, Cena ruined it by applying his "submission" hold.

As for how I'd have booked this card with the given matches at my disposal?

1. Chris Benoit/MVP - time limit of 20 minutes and more near falls with heavier-duty high-impact moves towards the end. They set what I considered to be the most natural rhythm in any of the night's encounters, but the ending was a complete crotch-stain that belongs on Shotgun Saturday Night or WCW Prime. Hell, just for kicks I'd have made this an Iron Man encounter.

2. ECW/New Breed - time limit of 20 minutes that would've focused on creativity in the use of things like chairs, tables, tacks, and other numerous goodies along with getting the proper build for each wrestler's key spots instead of booking this thing liked rushed filler (which was how it appeared to me). More near falls and it would've been tailored more to the working style that was used in the rematch.

3. Battle of the Billionaires - Play this farce the same way as it was a mainstream attention getter, but I'd have a much more sound ending than the weak-ass spear for the win. Talk about anti-climactic. I also would've had Lashley and Austin shave McMahon AND Trumps heads.

4. Taker/Batista - Same match, just placed at this point. Also, to the camera guy: Make sure you get a close-up on Taker's face when he tell Little 'Naitch to "get him out of here." Then someone surprises Batista in the back with a post-match interview when he's not expecting. Just for kicks, shoot with it and ask him what it feels like to be in the long line of grease-spots who the Undertaker kicked the $hit out of at Wrestlemania. Yeah, that's the ticket.

5. Cena/Michaels - End this with Michaels winning and with someone reminding Cena that getting your knee stomped for five plus minutes straight typically results in a lack of mobility for at least the remainder of your World Championship wrestling match at Wrestlemania. Also, Masa Chono needs to be flown in to teach this dumb ass his own finisher. Then Chono should kick Cena in the face Yakuza style so that I feel better. On the whole, the booking for all of this was a joke and a half. Key workers were left off of the show and some complete garbage made it's way onto it instead. Well, there's always next year.
