No, clusterfuck is what T.N.A. puts on for Pay per views. This is iMPACT!, and I've finally come to learn that T.N.A. is still believing that they're living inside the "weekly Pay per view" realm. Thus is why they've constantly (up until now, anyways) been giving away classic p.p.v. type matches, then filling their actual p.p.v.'s with shit.

I'd hardly call iMPACT! matches classics, Will. They're potentially good on PPV, but they give away much poorer versions on free TV.

Where do I start. How is this not instantly getting you pumped up? Sure you believe M.E.M. is going to jump in and the match will be stopped, but who's to say that's truly how it would've ended?

You sent me spoilers. Douche. Oh well, it helped to keep back the tide of crushing disappointment. Mostly.

Any number of situations could've happened. Homicide & A.J. Styles, along with everyone else in Frontline could've came down when the first M.E.M. member tried interfering, and it could've turned into an unofficial lumberjack match. Shit, Hernandez believeably and realistically could've won this match and the title.

I still stand by that Hernandez was scheduled to win the world title. It's just that that shirt throw was so fucking good they absolutely had to capitalise on it. Steiner - who was the one who threw it, contrary to DW's beliefs - was probably just aiming for his shoulder.

They did a great job with making him look like he deserves to be the next Champion, and they truly made Sting look even worse. The only likely outcome to continue this and make the fans hate M.E.M. that much more, was an interference call that got the match thrown out.

Sting looked like a bitch and it was a four minute match. Two minutes of which was Sting doing a resthold. Thank Christ Hernandez was there to keep me awake. Sting's a tall motherfucker, ain't he?

The Beautiful People are ratings grabbers. You'll learn that once your balls drop.

I honestly don't know who would watch this. They were even covered up this week, not that they're particularly attractive. If you were deafblind, you might just find them arousing.

And maybe you should've been watching iMPACT! instead of flipping channels, and moaning about nothing being on, because there was a match on every other segment practically. You whine about nothing being on for an hour.. fuck man, 2-3 matches were on alone in the first hour, heading over into the second. And don't even tell me Raw doesn't do similar shit.

Actually Will, there was only one match on in the first hour. The four minute Hernandez/Sting one. With a break in the middle. Otherwise it was that, the MEM segment, the tedious run-in and then half an hour of the Beautiful People.

What the FUCK did we just witness on this past week's Raw? NOTHING, absofuckinglutely nothing!

I don't watch Raw. :(

So let me get this straight, you invited friend's over to join in your circle jerk and you missed two of the matches on iMPACT!, then you have the nerve to turn around and whine and moan about not seeing any? You didn't even pay attention to the show, what the hell are you even reviewing this for, just to complain randomly?!

To be fair, the women's match was pretty terrible. By men's standards at least. Though I seem to be popularising the term "clusterfuck". I dunno, probably not me.

And don't give me that crap about "I no longer cared, so I quit watching" crap. The Knockout's match was directly after the M.E.M. opening.. so either you flipped away instantly, meaning you didn't give it a chance, or you were lying completely.

Actually, the long, long Beautiful People segment was in between. Then a Kongtourage promo. And there was a break in the middle of the match (seriously, cut out entrances, not the middle of matches!).

And you're right, the Steiner/Styles Main Event was good. It wasn't great, but television Main Event's aren't suppose to be perfect, they're suppose to continue in telling a story.. and this one did, the return of Petey Williams.

AJ's lucky he had the presence of mind not to land on his neck when Steiner botched his belly-to-belly suplex. And I swear AJ got mad and went stiff for a while. Entertaining as fuck.

Even if you did give it a 3 outta 10, that's 3 more than I gave this past Monday's Raw.

I gave it two. Needs more Shelley.

Highlights was that hilarious Morgan/Abyss segment in the ring with Lauren. Great to see Lauren live in the ring. Abyss says he has a 2 for 1 coupon for therapy. They hug.

During the match, Morgan shockingly nails Abyss with the chair, completing his heel turn.

Sojo bolt rough cut. Shane Sewell gets beat up by Booker T; Team 3D comments further on the new stipulation.

They are teasing friction with Sting and Angle, which kinda sucks. I really enjoyed Sting's promos during tonight's impact, confirming his alliance with MEM - states that it is all respect. I still think there needs to be more.

Petey is still in Steiner get-up. MEM wins.

Main event was AJ vs ANgle in a tables match. It was okay and got exciting near the end. Nice finish with the Angle slam on AJ through the table. Beat down and Angle grabs the mic and goes "Look ma i'm on top of the world!" and says next week they will take over TNA

No Foley, Jarrett.. which is okay... I do think more stuff and comedy needs to happen. I dont know where Shark Boy is. Abyss/Morgan could have had some great 'out the ring' segments during therapy session, but the heel turn works i guess...

Pretty strong show.. although i 'd like to see more swerves everyw eek.. like Russo used to do..

Highlights was that hilarious Morgan/Abyss segment in the ring with Lauren.

I take this to mean unintentional comedy. Does Abyss come out in a nice shirt again? He thinks he's people.

Great to see Lauren live in the ring.

Why? She sucks balls. Literally, probably. Don't see why else she would have a job.

Abyss says he has a 2 for 1 coupon for therapy.

He does what? Does he do that in his comedy growl? I bet he does. Jesus Christ.

They hug.

They do what?

During the match, Morgan shockingly nails Abyss with the chair, completing his heel turn.

I'd hardly call it "shocking". I could have told you this would happen about three years ago now.

Sojo bolt rough cut.

"I are serious heel. Here are me being nice."

Shane Sewell gets beat up by Booker T;

You mean the next TNA Legends Champion gets beat up by Booker T.

Team 3D comments further on the new stipulation.

Is this the stipulation where other people kick the shit out of Sting so they can get a title shot by asking?

They are teasing friction with Sting and Angle, which kinda sucks.

Inevitable, really.

I really enjoyed Sting's promos during tonight's impact,

I bet they were as abnormally clumsy as usual, though.

confirming his alliance with MEM

I already knew this. He didn't have to confirm it. Have known for months.

- states that it is all respect.

So he's cut out the middle man and is directly repeating the same promo over and over now? Huh.

I still think there needs to be more.

Is this Sting talking or you? Either way, why so serious?

Petey is still in Steiner get-up.

His hair is slightly darker, I think you'll find.

MEM wins.

"So, in two words, what happens in TNA?"

Main event was AJ vs ANgle in a tables match. It was okay and got exciting near the end. Nice finish with the Angle slam on AJ through the table.

Saw that coming a mile away.

Beat down and Angle grabs the mic and goes "Look ma i'm on top of the world!" and says next week they will take over TNA

Shit, Kurt's now just cutting the same promo over and over now, too? Seems like they already took over TNA about fifty times by now. Jesus.

I dont know where Shark Boy is.

I don't know how to tell you this, but... he's at Clam Juiceaholics Anonymous. He's got a serious drinking problem.

Abyss/Morgan could have had some great 'out the ring' segments during therapy session,

I hate you so much.

Edit: No, no wait. That would have sure made for some great... psychology!

Pretty strong show.. although i 'd like to see more swerves everyw eek.. like Russo used to do..

You almost, almost made it. So close, yet so far away.

I really loved Abyss/Morgan in the ring and themhugging and tagging. The shocking part was seeing Morgan just nail Abyss out of nowhere. I expected this to drag on a few weeks before it happened but wow!

Beautiful people beating up Sarah Palin, who went back to normal voice, was pretty crazy as well. I love lauren. Seeing Abyss pick her up and swing her was extremely entertaining.

Regardless, I think CCW's characters.matches/concept is more intriguing than any TNA show.. it's just so entertaining and the reality rules. I also loved the heel of Maywether facing Big Show as wm24 (watching the HD DVD now)

TheOneBigWill’s ‘thoughts’ on T.N.A. iMPACT! (Thursday, January29th, 2009)

It seems the major theme in tonight’s show was Handicap matches, as out of the six matches four of them were one-sided.

The other interesting piece in tonight’s show was the Main Event Mafia’s “takeover” as Kurt Angle seemed to be in control for the first half of the show, while Kevin Nash & Booker T. replaced Mike Tennay & Don West & Scott Steiner replaced the ring announcer.

While overall this was nothing more than another n.W.o. type storyline, I loved it fully and it made iMPACT! A great show. Well, that was until Mick Foley came out half way through and changed everything to being back the way it normally is.. Shitty.

Kong’s dominance over O.D.B. continued, as the Kongtourage destroyed O.D.B. in a handicap match. The only part of this match worth any mention was actually Scott Steiner’s induction of the girls. He used the word “bitch” more times in this single induction than that word’s been used in all of last year in either major company.

It’s horrible to see T.N.A. promote Referee’s as Wrestlers. First Shane Sewell, and now two more. Granted they were “examples” for Booker T. to apparently show how he’ll deal with Sewell at the p.p.v., unfortunately my guess is Sewell has a better than average shot at becoming a Champion if they decide to make the match a title match.

Since returning, Petey Williams has been on fire, yet he’s constantly lost. I don’t get that. They more or less fed him to Matt Morgan, but to add to it, they had his arm behind his back. (I suppose that’s suppose to make me believe he could’ve had a chance if he would’ve had both hands.) In the end, it was a major beat down by Scott Steiner, helping Morgan pick up the match.

Abyss & Scott Steiner went about as good as it could’ve gone I suppose, but the Against All Odds match made for Abyss against Morgan is already going to be a no contest, since they said it was just a regular match.

Could someone also explain to me why Suicide is still even being used? I mean, at this point I think T.N.A. just believes they MUST use him, regardless if it’s pointless in how, or not. I also heard that Christopher Daniels is apparently the guy under the mask now. So either he always has been, or it’s something new that just happened as Kaz possibly re-injured himself. Either way, it was somewhat weird to notice this week’s Suicide character barely do anything that the previous show’s Suicide did.

Sting against Team 3D was almost just as bad as Kurt Angle against L.A.X. this is just further proof why regular Tag Team’s shouldn’t be in matches against Main Event players. Hernandez, excluded, Team 3D still don’t deserve the World title (p.p.v.) match they’ve got.

Overall Thoughts: Plain and simple, I loved tonight’s show. The amount of handicap matches was a bit way too much, but the takeover part (while unoriginal) was still a great storyline to use at this point in the story. Things were becoming stale, but seem to have picked back up.

ower outage so i couldn't see the first hour.. 2nd hour had daffney aka governer palin come out to interfere after the match, which wasn't bad i really enjoyed brutus magnus.. he has a good look and did a good promo after beating shark boy. i liked shark boy coming out to stone cold get up and doing all the moves. we haven't seen him in like 6 months! i like that brutus got on the mic after the match.. and challenged anyone at aao - typical russo build.. good debut Matt Morgan turning was really cool.. so they had him face rhino. i dont think there was a winner but i know abyss came out and morgan ran abyss then cut a crazy promo and PUNCHED the tacks until his knuckles were all legitimately bloody - INSANE>. i was cringing at all the pain because there's NOWAY i'd do anything that insane... i can't even punch into one tack let alone 50-100 of them.. I laughed at Lauren coming out to console abyss afterewards angle did a good promo but i dont like how they're teasing a MEM breakup already... steiner kept reminding angle that we're a family. and nash/booker were at ringside too. the finish was kinda lackluster.. but it was great to see MEM together at the end the final package teased a "new samoa joe" Mick Foley also said Jeff Jarrett is back next week.. I think the flow was pretty good! I haven't even watched the first hour yet, and will do when it replays on saturday morning!!! I thought it was a good show

I want you all to know something. I really tried to watch 'iMPACT!" this week. I really did. In fact, it's still on now. There's three quarters to go. But there's no way I'm subjecting myself to it. Because I remembered the last time I forced myself through it, and how it almost made me suicidal. So, here's my review of the first quarter - as in, half an hour give or take - of iMPACT!.

I missed the first few minutes. Probably just missed the MEM entrance. So they start off iMPACT! with a promo again. Repetitive much? Repetitive much? Repetitive much? Repetitive much? Repetitive much? Much repetitive, I know. Nash says something about Joe. Is he returning? Did he return? Fuck it, I'm not putting it back on. Angle says something. I can't remember what. Something about respect. Surprise, surprise.

Team 3D do a promo. Boring but surprisingly competent. Devon can talk it turns out. Not really interested in the least though. Ad break.

Kiyoshi Rough Cut as we come back. Too bad I've already made up my mind that he's nothing to write home about. Getting the Guns to put him over is a bad idea. I watch iMPACT! - they do nothing but lose, what do they know about wrestling? Ditto for when Sting pops up.

Lethal Consequences promo. I'm ever so slightly entertained. Consequences is OK. Lethal's comparison of the Guns to The Rockers is accurate, as I've pointed out. I like this gimmick; shame it ain't taking Lethal anywhere. Is it racist to call these two "colourful"?

To the match, I gu-- what's this!? WHAT'S THIS!? OH HOLY FUCKING MONKEY CHIHUAHUAS IN HEAVEN, WHAT IN THE FUCKING MOTHERFUCKING FUCK IS GOING ONNNNNN!?!?!? Oh, Beer Money jumped Lethal Consequences. Overly long to accomplish Creed getting taken out. They could have just hit him with a beer bottle and not wasted ten minutes.

They show what I guess is the other half of Lethal's interview that they showed last week. Who the fuck edits this show? They need to be fired. I get bored. Dangerously bored. How long is this? According to the announcers, you lucky Americans got a break before the match. No such luck for me.

Lethal starts single-handedly demolishing the Guns, who include the X Division champion, in a poorly-choreographed, incredibly fake-looking match. I turn off and log on to WrestleZone.

TheOneBigWill’s thoughts on Thursday Night iMPACT! February 5th, 2009:

Opening Segment: I think we’re going to get to the bottom of the barrel on M.E.M. or Frontline opening the show before the end of the month. Sometimes, it’s not always a “must” to open your show with a promo segment.

The only general thing about this segment that made me laugh is that Kevin Nash doesn’t actually realize he’s suppose to play the role of a heel. He played to the crowd, intentionally to get cheers. Why? So he explained yet another Scott Hall situation, and you know.. He’s right.. He is beating a dead horse over it. When the fuck was the last time Scott Hall was even in the business, just get over it and move on.

Angle and Sting are leading to the Sting face turn apparently, or is it? I’m still holding out hope for a Sting heel turn with M.E.M. swerving Angle at the Pay per view.

The Matches:

1. Motor City Machine Guns v. Jay Lethal & Eric Young: I get that they wanna make Jay Lethal look strong, so he can have a decent showing against Beer Money.. But is it truly that bad to have a Tag Team actually double team him, and beat him?

Not to mention, apparently Eric Young and anyone else can just randomly show up and enter into the match. Fuck scripts and match-ups being set. Just walk to the ring and bam, you can get a match.

You know, all this set aside, the one true factor of what pisses me off, is having to hear Mike Tennay and Don West moan and bitch about how Shelley & Sabin didn’t help Creed & Lethal. Uhm, why should they? Wasn’t it two on two? So Lethal & Creed aren’t good enough to handle their own fights?

And furthermore, that whole shit about “They should’ve just cancelled the match”. Well, yeah, sure.. Except when they returned from break, Lethal was in control of the match, leading me to believe he’d just said “fuck it” and started the match to his own credit. So once again, how is that have anything to do with MCMG?

2. Shane Sewell v. Sheik Abdul Bashir: Another short match, that ends with Booker T. making his way to ringside and finding his way into a bitch fight with Shane Stool. I have no comment on this, but I am disappointed that Booker T’s ppv match with Stool has now been changed to an actual title match.

3. Beautiful People v. Taylor Wilde & Roxxi: I’m not 100% of there was or wasn’t an actual match here. Seems to me the Beautiful People tore the shit outta Roxxi and Wilde, as it was a brawl for seemingly ever.. Then Roxxi gets pinned. Daffney, aka Palin makes the save.

4. Brutus Magnus v. Sharkboy: :lmao: What the fuck? I think there is a height and weight requirement when you’re trying to play the role of a Gladiator, or Strong man gimmick. What is he, like 5’10, 200 lbs.? And he even let Sharkboy get offense in. He’s going to get over about as well as Titus, or whatever the fuck that one guy’s name was back during the time when he feuded with Monty Brown, then disappeared.

Let’s not even look at the fact that he used the word “ballocks”. LOL “My time for glory, is UPON USSSSS”. really? Well fuck, Armageddon really is coming sooner than I thought.

5. Matt Morgan v. Rhino: Tonight’s entire program was surrounding meaningless matches that have no ending. Once again, Abyss hit’s the ring as the match is more or less thrown out. The story here is Abyss is apparently back, yet.. Is he? So he used weapons, but their ppv match Sunday is with rules. So I’m to expect it’ll be thrown out.

6. Team 3D v. Kurt Angle & Sting: I think Kurt forgot that last week was the week of playing in handicap matches. Ironically, this is pretty much what I expect for Sunday’s ppv. Angle controls most of the match, yet gets constantly double teamed by Team 3D, while Sting is barely even note-worthy for being involved in the match.

Overall Thoughts: So, where was ODB and Kong’s interaction? Outside of a backstage segment where Kong was told it’d be one on one, pretty much saying her title will change hands. Where was Petey Williams and Scott Steiner? Outside of an appearance in the Main Event, Williams and Steiner didn’t have any interaction. Where was Samoa Joe? What was the deal about Nash’s comment, if Joe wasn’t to be used? Where the fuck is A.J. Styles? Did all of T.N.A.’s top talent decide to take a vacation at the beginning of the year?

Last week, dispite some not agreeing, “I” actually liked iMPACT! This week, I can’t say the same. 2 outta 10, if even that. And this was the final ppv leading us into the Pay per view. Seriously? Why are Joe and Styles being held off the ppv? WHY?!

So since I've missed the build up for AAO tonight, I thought I'd take in the previous two weeks of Impact. Before Id id this though, I had an idea. I watched these shows with the mindset of a newb. I've heard terrible reviews for both shows and I was wondering how TNA would look to brand new fans. I'm not going to post a fully detailed review, but rather my main thought.

If I was just starting with TNA, the top faces would be Team 3D, Jay Lethal and Shane Sewell. 3D are the main faces being pushed, Lethal wrestled on his own for awhile, and Sewell is being built up as a rookie wonder. Seriously, no Joe, no Styles, no big faces. All of them have been dominated, and taht's just bad. If you're under 40 and a face, you might as well retire now. The wrestling was pretty bad and my intelligence was insulted every second. The biggest of all though was simple to me: Joe and Jarrett are out nursing injuries. Ok, that's all fine if that's where you want to go. If that's the case though, WHY ARE YOU SHOWING THEM WRESTLING IN EUROPE??? I get that there's a point to the angle but letting the fans see them at live shows makes the live events better, but WHY show that on tv? Explain this to me, please.

i like that sting talked

Brutus Magnus on ODB was my favourite of the night... sooo funny. doctor stevie richards - he didn't show his face, but good to see abyss goofy

i think there was way too much wrestling. the stuff with MCMG was so goddamn boring. aftermath wasn't bad

I dont think they focus enough on developing characters, although they did a good job with the MEM tension in the first 30 mins, and after teh show when sting talked a lot. empty arena match would be interesting too.

i wish they did more character development because a lot of that is lacking. morgan attacking abyss is okay. beer money is boring. aj attacking booker is good. booker said he'll have aj arrested.

rhino has no character

i dont like that there isn't much character for a lot of the stars

JJ's role is weird

Mick Foley has a "backstage interview weekly segment" which is a little weird. I dont think they're using mick foley to the fullest either. they have so many big names, so many up and coming stars, and a weekly TWO HOUR show.. they need to do more in developing the young guys. Joe shows up in a short video.

I think there needs to be a lot of character development each and every week and TNA is lacking that.. i dont feel as though enough happens

This week's iMPACT! was an improvement, I've gotta say. This week, I didn't want to devour my own penis or bludgeon myself to death or anything like that. No, this week, I just really, really wanted to change the channel. I asked myself what I would watch and found myself responding with "Anything, just not this." Oh, and I almost made it half way through. More on that later.

So the show starts with The Dudleys facing Angle & Sting. Fuck it, I think, why not? I'll tell you why not - because the wrestling that follows is some of the worst I've seen since... maybe ever. The other three I'm not surprised at but I expected more of Kurt. I found his and Sting's altercations kind of interesting, but I think it's probably because TNA forces me to lower my standards incredibly. The audience seems to feel similarly. If they weren't all so fucking fat and ugly, you wouldn't notice they were there. Oh, and Jarrett was involved in some capacity. Give a shit.

Booker T cuts a promo. I think he had the buzz word of "respect" and shit in there. He said something about AJ, I think. I drifted in and out. I was, however, paying attention for the weak-looking beat down AJ then gave Booker. They should have really planned some spots out beforehand. There's no excuse for it looking laughably poor when the show doesn't even go out live. And so soon after I thought AJ was legitimately trying to break Scott Steiner's face. Shame.

Steiner and Petey's pointless match, which I couldn't figure out if it was for the headdress or Petey's job, was mildy entertaining. Again, I think it's how low my standards have become. There's a Frankensteiner but they don't use it for the finish. That's just fucking stupid. I guess it was for Petey's job, seeing as how he lost and now he's fired. Give a shit. Joe cuts a promo on the screen. I'm actually excited for his return. TNA is hardly being subtle about it but they're definitely bring bad ass Joe back. Knowing TNA, it will be overly forced and ultimately unsuccessful. Like all of TNA, really. Ba dum tish.

Oh yeah, that's pretty much when I stopped watching. I was looking forward to seeing the Guns get embarrassed in another poorly choreographed spot fest with Lethal motherfuckin' Consequences but then I saw a woman coming out. To wrestle. And she had Billy Gunn with her. Thanks but no thanks, TNA.

i fast forwarded a lot of the backstage segments with mmg, rhino talking with 3d.. they were relaly boring

same with roxxi, and taylor wilde

abdul bashir's character is not controversial. theyh're doing dr stevie.

brutus magnus was in a 6 man.. and shiek got pinned.

petey is gone from tna due to that match

steiner's segment was okay. joe was off screen

aj beat up booker t.. in his 10 second segment of the week.

foley's segment had no relevance. theyh're paying this guyu and dont know what to do this with guy

i liked the main event with no crowd. and they're talking and angle spits in sting's face.. sting should lead the mafia by the end of it. it's kinda cool how MEM is still together. nash wanted to keep them together. some tension in MEM. i liked no crowd.. and i liked them talking during the main event like a movie.. that was a little different

i'm not used to the show not having enough happening. govener is teaming up with roxxi/taylor.. beautiful ppl wrestled..

mmg match was boring so i fast forwarded it

it was kinda a meh show with some good moments.... not totally my cup of tea. i want more entertainment and character development to be honest

i guess elevation x isn't coming back this year. ultimate x looks cheesy they need to really make the height of that ghing much higher

Jeff Jarrett is annoying. I liked the Booker T segments. Everytime Jeff talks, he annoys by being lame and cheesy. Nash's promo was okay. Booker T saved the segment by talking about JEff painting the flea market (TNA Asylum). Booker was great in all his segments. Steiner got some mic time in the back.

Kurt and Sting didn't talk. Sting got a HUGE pop after he came and attacked Kurt Angle.

Don West's diss came out of nowhere, lol. and i have no idea where that is going.

Foley talks about some of his fave WWE moments

Rock and Rave is fired. Damn, Lance Rock had potential.

Foley comes out to some pop. MEM doesn't want to split up sting and kurt. this is very interesting and I kinda like that Sting is the good guy in the bad guy crew, and he's getting a huge pop and he's finally used very well as the champ for the first time!!!!

AJ Styles atacks Booker. Booker beats him up for a bit.

Kongtourage stuff isn't bad either. Some girl turns on Taylor Wilde. There is more russo intensity, although it isn't as crazy

I think it's an overall good show!

--
i just find what jeff says annoying. like when he brougbnt rup deniro, kept referring to himself as the "founder".. it's kinda cringeworthy

I think Booker T was absolutely brilliant in his backstage segments and when he was yelling at Jeff

Nash's dialogue needed to be a little better. But Booker ruled.

The last segment was hot i think ultimate x is overrated, but that hoobastank song has grown on me.. not bad

Marty, you let this fall into the second page. :disappointed: What kinda loyal follower are you? Anywho..

TheOneBigWill's 'take' on T.N.A. iMPACT!; March, 12th, 2009:

Is it possible to have a show that both had amazing qualities that could've made it one of the best in recent memory, yet also had some of the stupidiest and worst matches, possible?

Positives:

Don West becoming darker, and funnier, yet Mike Tenay still remainly the more hated announcer? I can't believe I'm about to say this, but Don West truly had me holding onto wanting to watch more of the show. He showed up late, talked in slurs as if he was drunk, and continued to bitch and moan with Tenay throughout the time he was there.

Yet Tenay, each time they showed them, had the more pissed off and jackass looks on his face. I'm sorry, I want so badly to cheer Don West for finally being good at being an extrovert.. and yet Tenay, who is apparently playing the face role.. is the guy I just wanna punch in the mouth, for blatantly looking like a fucking dick.

Abyss slightly turning more aggressive, yet remaining a fan favorite, announcer puppy-loving, sappy little bitch. I was personally, and am still personally, holding out hope that Lauren will take tacs in the back and ass. It's quite possibly the only thing that will make her useful.

The Beautiful People with the addition of Madison Rayne. I'm sorry, apparently I'm the only individual that loves STDs, but for Velvet Sky I'd gladly scratch my crotch for life. :lmao: I'd rather watch them, than have to witness anymore attempts at wrestling from Big Booty Bolt.

And dispite the Machineguns taking the loss, the 8-man tag between Lethal Consequences & L.A.X. against Scott Steiner, Booker T. & the Machineguns was a truly nice match-up. Should've warranted a bit more time though.

Negatives:

Matt Morgan, albeit hit an amazing bicycle kick on Abyss, is still being pushed as something important. WHY?!

Abdul Bashir.. see above, only take out the kick and replace with "low blow on Rhino".

The ruling at the top of the show was that Sting & Angle were to find to reps to fight each other. So in the end, Eric Young gets the nod from Sting.. and the fat security guard from M.E.M. gets the nod from Angle. :wtf: WHY?!

And it was the Main Event, no less. The Main Event, before Destination X, to boot.

The objective was apparently to give the other guys in the locker room some "spotlight", so the one guy that seems to agree with Angle and want to join him, (Muta wannabe) Angle attacks and refuses the help from.. only to pick the over-weight security guard. The only impressive feat was Young picking the fat ass up for a DVD, a botched one at that.

All in all, it was a good show. I'm tuning in these days, mainly because (and again, I can't believe I'm saying this) I want to hear more of Don West. I don't know what they're doing, or how they did it.. but he's becoming interesting, and I'm waiting for the Lockdown match-up between him and Tenay to happen. (*crosses fingers*)

Darkshot77's review of TNA iMPACT!

Strange to say but Impact wasent half bad, well next to the seemingly retarted things TNA dose but I found it ok, mosly because of everyones new favorite Drunk Announcer: Don West. He shows up late, leaves early, supports heels and is being an around dick, for the sole purpose of pissing off Mike Tenay, god I love it. But TNA being TNA we get don west with a sumg look on his face excited like a good guy, and Mike Tenay looking annoyed and pissed off like heel, but excepts its the other way arround.

I am loving Bashir's new look with the full head covering and the desert camo fatigues. He dosent have to do anything, his out fit makes him a extremely hated. Oh and a side question, wasent the Bashir/Rhino thing solved a while back. On that note its a good idea TNA decided to go green and recycle.

I am horridly digusted with the "One night with ODB" business. I feel I need a STD checkup just talking about it

No one and I mean NO ONE could cut a promo tonight. LAX and Lethal Consequences, those guys need some work, bad. Not to metion i couldnt understand a damn thing Booker was saying, same with Steiner, but thats normal for him. It dosent take a rocket scentist to figure out why the MCMG sided with Booker and Steiner, it was to put the hurt on there Ultimate X opponents Lethal and Creed, not a hard concept Tenay. So stop spewing the bullshit that they were ever part of The Frontline, ever. The MCMG have been out of themselves only.

I like Eric Young, he is good but thats it, he has good wretling skill, good mic skill, but he isnt great in any area. Not to mention he dosent have a gimick, but I find him mostly entertaining. Now with that said he really dosent belong anywhere near the ME but it was a decent choice by Sting, seeing what Angle picked. Rocco the Security Gaurd. This is what TNA gives us right before Destonation X a shoddy ME. Then they procede to destroy the Destonation X ME by adding Jarret and a mentally unstable Foley as referee and enforcer, respectivly. Dammit TNA why, why?

So over all I enjoyed Impact after having looked past all the of the regular TNA senselessness. Lets hope we get a full night od Drunken Don West at Destonation X...(did I just say that).

I enjoyed Impact this week. I do have to say that the main event was not as good as I would have thought. I thought Sting would have been approached by Styles or Joe or maybe someone who is on the rise of a push. Rocco? Kurt Angle couldn't find a high priced heel in the locker room? When Jeff Jarrett announced that he would be the special guest referee and that Mike Foley would be the special guest enforcer the only thing that hit me was (1) Sting is going to be screwed by someone or (2) Sting is going to defeat Kurt Angle and then Sting/Foley/Jarret alliance will be formed. I really do hope that they keep the title on Sting. I mean his first two reigns were short and if he is indeed calling it quits soon, let the guy go out with a bang. He did alot for that company in just only 4 short years. I would have him hold the title and then in a show of respect or passing the torch hand it over to Jarrett and say "I trust you won't allow this become a cancer (back to his fued with Jeff) and give to someone worthy of holding it with honor".

I actually really enjoyed Impact this week. I know the main event was a real stinker, but I thought the rest of the show was one of the better Impacts that I've watched. I think it's great that TNA is going for more of an adult audience since WWE is going for the kiddies now. (This actually makes TNA an alternative to WWE in my eyes.)

I find the ODB thing funny, even though I know it's stupid.

Matt Morgan is finally starting to be entertaining for me now that he's heel. The announcing situation is interesting. I don't necessarily like the MEM mafia angle right now, but it seems like it's getting better.

Here's to hoping TNA can continue with the good shows.

I thought the main event was VERY interesting. Sting, the good guy in a heel faction.. and he told angle to stop beating foley and to pin him. angle wont tag foley in

foley then suddenly nails Sting.. which was shocking

Sting got on the mic and made the challenge, and Foley talkeda bout it backstage and accepted. It was pretty good

the first segmetn took like 15 mins and was good too

roode/storm did a promo with 3d and it's a title for title match. funny that mmg also had iwgp junior titles

AJ/Booker t confrontation.. Booker T rules i love his promos. he's my fave character on the show...

THey got rid of Kute Kip.. and i read that he and jacqueline will be more of backstage roles

WHy won't they just put Kip James in a program with like an AJ or something. Hell, if Sting and Angle don't stay with TNA in the long run, i Have no problem with putting Kip and BG in the Main Event Mafia.. i know they're getting old but they were put into babyface DX in 1998 and it got over.. and ppl can still recognize them

Crazsy that beautiful people cut off daffney's hair..

I thought it was a strong show for the most part

Even Joe and his backstage segment with Shiek was pretty intense.. wow.

Steiner didn't show his face beause apparently joe beat him up bad... Nash did get a chance to talk too...

I think they did a good job of utilizing all the top names. Damn, Jarrett, Foley, all five guys in the Mafia. Even Sharmell got to talk too

I thought it was a strong show.. not a crazy super russo show but the main event was pretty DAMN big - FOLEY and JARRETT vs STING and ANGLE - HUGE HUGE HUGE names

So, I didn't see 'iMPACT!' this week. However, I will attempt to review it just from the scraps of information I've pieced together using YouTube footage.

So let's see. What happened this week? Allow me thinking time. AJ Styles came out and talked and then had a fight with Booker T. I gathered that from the title of one of the videos on YouTube. It was really shit though, wasn't it? Despite AJ's skills on the mic, he's having to say some odd things thanks to this storyline. He's coming over as downright delusional. And I'm sure we were all tired of AJ Styles vs. Booker T before this feud even began. The brawl itself looked like shit, as usual.

Joe continued his downward spiral into pants-on-head ******edness. In the few weeks he was away, it looks like he worked on his tits. Those things look juicier and moister than ever. He hung Davairi upside down and beat him with a stick. Fuck knows why. But that's entertainment.

Mick Foley hit Sting with a chair for no reason I can think of. Guess he was just bored. Kurt still looks like a face after only just losing against Sting in what was essentially a three-on-one handicap match. Intelligent booking.

Abyss is still a pervert. The women are still shit. Team 3D are still shit. Who are No Limit? Why did they beat the Motor City Machine Guns? Why are the Guns carrying those funny little belts? A myriad of questions, to be answered on next week's exciting edition.

Besides the Mick Foley/Sting thing, everything else was just boring. I still don't get Samoa Joe's whole Nation of Violence gimmick. He's just going to kick random people's asses and I don't see him proving any kind of point. Just an desperate attempt to try to add some range to his character but it is entertainment especially with Steiner coming out with that hoodie.

Lack of entertainment.. but 50 minute main event had a good story. I kinda found it unbelievable for Kurt Angle to pin 11 or so people though. but that was part of the story. I mean Hernandez and Rhino? I see RHino and Hernandez beating the crap out of everybody.. but kurt is a 200lb guy.. but i guess the story was for him to look good.. which he did..

i like him beatin gjeff, only for jeff to come back only for kurt to beat him.. joe coming out was supposed to be a surprise. i didn't quite get the point of the last two men fighting. i guess it was for bragging rights. if you're in the last two, you're the captains right?

Sting/ Foley was pretty good... although i wanted them to fight

Didn't hear from Eric Young/Danny Bonaduce. I think they did a good job making EY a serious guy instead of the comedic guy. EY can have a chance of main eventing

Suicide wins. Beautiful people feuding with Awesome Kong

- Don WEst actually did a good job yelling at cornette and kinda being heel. it's different, but he needs to learn from Mark Madden.

- what else.. beer money/team 3d talk.. that was okay. rough cut with team 3d. Rhino has been depushed again. there is kinda lack of character development. nash is still injured. the first segment was okay too.

foley's segment backstage was pretty entertaining.. the main event had a lot of good stories. like morgan going after abyss.. booker going after aj.. joe beating kurt angle. it was pretty welll done

i dont know who kurt will substitute for nash though. not sure if nash is going to make it

as for danny bonadcue. there's about a few weeks left 0- he needs to show up on impact LIVE...

i thought it was a pretty good show and a good utlilization of jarrett too. jarrett used the 'choke on that slapnut' line which was kinda weird.. russo always liked jeff..

i think it's kinda missing some humour. what happened to dr stevie.. lol.. and what happened to brutus magnus?

I thought it was the best Impact this year. Sure it could've used a bit of humour but the main event was awesome, when did you last see a wrestling tv show use 3 quarters on a single match? It was great and had everything... if I was in the states it would've made me want to order Lockdown.

Foley was as usual great at selling heat between him and Sting. Quite ironic that Sting was making Foley sound feeble since he's 6 yrs older than he is lol

Don West's heel commentary was fantastic, esp when Angle first attacked Jarrett "He's a man of his word" and then when he attacked him again as he was being seen to by medics "Jarrett lunged at him, he's just reacting to the situation. Jarrett was blocking his way to the ring" etc thought it was great to hear him and Tenay argue. TNA was right to get rid of the whole thing about Don being late/leaving during show. Just simple face/heel commentary that we haen't seen done well in the business since JR and Heyman.

Great show, will be interesting to see the ratings. I wonder if fans stayed with the whole main event? I was on edge of my seat, but then I love to see MEM dominate.

It was actually OK, is Foley meant to be a heel though? Because I kinda want Sting to kick his ass...

Missed iMPACT! again this week. Was gonna watch it, but I ended up having friends over. I did demonstrate the growth of Samoa Joe's breast tissue. It was generally agreed upon.

Foley did a promo with Sting which I saw on YouTube. Comments ranged from "Oh my God, Foley is the best promo guy ever. Me and my family sat around and all cried for about an hour" to the slightly more conservative "Yeah, I came". A shame, considering the promo wasn't even that good. He didn't stumble over his words, I guess. It's just hard to take a guy who looks homeless seriously. And I love Foley. I even reckon Foley/Sting will be decent.

That cage elimination match actually looked moderately entertaining. I still don't understand the rules or who the captains are. I saw AJ get jobbed out to Kurt. Nice. Kurt eliminated Jarrett three times, he claimed. I only saw twice. Matters were made only more confusing when Joe came in, won the match and then told everyone how he didn't want to be captain. Then why'd you enter the match, you dopey cunt?

I think some other stuff probably happened. Suicide beat Kiyoshi. I'm glad I didn't watch that. The women were likely up to their usual shenanigans... of being shit. YouTube says that Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett had a brawl. Exciting stuff.

I see Marty mentioned Hernandez losing to Kurt Angle. Cool.

by tame, i mean that they are not doing 'crazy' shows, which i kinda miss though. but they're still managing to make teh show strong

Joe kidnaps Sharmell to end the show, which is a nice different ending that keeps me intrigued

I liked that Dr Stevie beat up Abyss, lol.. that was cool.. and you can't see his face yet. kinda a russo thing.

Beautiful people get to cut taylor's hair

Some foley stuff... foley and sting.. angle apologizes to sting... sting walks off.. nash talks about respect..

First segment was good when Jeff and AJ talked about jeff starting the company from scratch.. Steiner coming out trying to get him to join MEM was pretty cool

MEM security vs 3d was not bad too .. beer money attack mem security out of respect... which isn't bad either

Jenna morasca is with Nash.. if survivor fans know about her (i dont) thye might check TNA out.. 25 million ppl tune into survivor for some reason...

daffney got to talk to dr stevie.

I think it was good utilization of all the big stars.. Damn, does TNA have a lot of stars. Looks like Rhino is kept off the show for some reason.. but pretty good show.. it was a good strong show again...

They have too many stars man.. how can they use Angle every week, a sting, all the guys in MEM. it was good that they let steiner talk this week, he often just stands in the back.

Joe got to face Sting in the main event and it was a short little match. and i like the way it is happening so far.. the hype is okay and Foley's use is pretty good
