I agree that Benoit is 10 times what Cena is right now. But hold in mind that Benoit has had about 15 years more experience in the ring. I think Cena has potential but the office need to allow him to use more moves.

The problem with John Cena is he was rushed into the main event status way too early. He had a few good matches with Booker T for the US Title but thats about it. He never paid his "dues" and was basically handed the title because they really had no one else at the time to take the title. Now they are just throwing him in our face and making him beat people so he looks like a quality champ. Over the last year we have watched him put down quality opponents like Angle, Triple H, Benoit, Edge and now Shawn. I think everyone is just getting sick of it. The WWE title looks like a joke now because we are all guaranteed a crappy match whenever Cena is involved. He has 3 moves and he did them all about 5 times in the WM Main Event.

To solve the problem either turn him heel or get the title off him and give it to people that can actually wrestle. 1) HBK 2) Edge 3) Orton or god even Flair would be a better champ and he is 100 years old. Even Mick Foley who really wasn't a great wrestler could hold the title with more prestege because we all know he would give his blood and guts for it.

To be honest I was pretty surprised with the outcome of the match at Mania. I mean we all ,at least so I thought, thought that Cena will lose. The only question in my mind would be how. It certainly couldn't be sweet chin music just like any other main event on a Monday night. Hell no its fricken Mania there has to be a twist. But there wasnt because Cena won. The only thing I cant possibly comprehend is HBK agreeing to do that. I mean I am a huge Cena fan but God he is much better as the hunter than being the hunted. But for all the people that hate Cena with a passion I just want you to know that he is not nearly as bad as you all make him out to be. Hell I hear just as many boos for HBK when he does something as Cena. I was reading the Hardcore Diaries and Mick Foley said it best, "I will never get into a ring and compete with someone who is not a warrior out there. But I absolutley refuse to lose to someone who is not better than me. When I was asked to wrestle John Cena at summerslam for the title and lose I considered it and had no problem becuase Cena is a great wrestler and competitor. Anyone who thinks differently should ask themselves just why is he the champ then? And when HHH questioned Cenas ability and lost to him the following next few weeks what does that say about HHH? He just lost to someone that is terrible? Even if he did win that also wouldnt be saying much seeing how John Cena is supposedly a bad wrestler." Honestly I put those words in completely wrong order but that is exactly what he said in that book. I have no problem with anyones opinions about John Cena but christ cant we just leave the damn guy alone or are wew all gonna bitch until he loses the belt???

theicon, you are so right.. they have tried as hard as they can to make Cena look like a credible champion by making him go over all the bst talent that they have.

It has gotten way past pathetic.... it may have been different if he hadnt held the belt so long but was chasing the belt, or trying to get a title shot, but holding the belt for 90% of the last 2 years is just stupid.

I was thinking the other day how I would love to see Foley come back in a full time capacity for even a couple of years and get the title, as you said he would bleed for the title and perhaps help bring some credibility back to it, whoever gets it a title change is well overdue, as is Cena taking a step back from having or chasing the title....

Yes those are his three moves. Oh don't forget the running closeline he uses that before the spinning powerbomb. Have you listened to his mic skills they aren't that great. He tries to be funny but he isn't. It is just time for him to take a step back thats it. Maybe starting from square one will change what everyone thinks of him or maybe even a gimmick change. Even though I think the WWE missed their boat on that. He has beaten everyone already there really isn't anyone for him to feud with besides midcarder. How many time are we going to see Edge vs. Cena this year? Like I said in an other post Orton has yet to tap to the STFU yet so maybe he is in line for that. It seems like the cool thing to do lately.

As bad as Cena is in the ring and with the mic I don't think anything can compare to how bad The Not So Great Khali is. What a big waste of space in the ring and on the WWE roster. Cena has more entertainment value then at least Khali I will give you all that.

I don't get why Cena still has a large fan base. I am not telling people to hate Cena or anything like that but the evidence of him being an overrated mediocre wrestler is in front of us every week.

He held that damn WWE title for 2 years straight(RVD and Edge never held that title long enough IMO) and a lot of fans are booing him b/c they are sick of him being champion(To me, it is like eating Kraft Dinner every frigging day, it makes me sick). Along with that he can't put on any good matches when he is defending the title(The match he had with HBK was OK but WM deserves better than OK) so he haves the title for 2 years and we can't see a good match out of it(The best match he ever had regarding the title was the TLC match with Edge at Unforgiven but that is the only match).

He may possibly be the hardest worker in the WWE, I am not taking that away from him, I respect him for trying his best but he is not impressing me and a lot of the fans when we see him week after week. A student may be the hardest worker of their class but still get the lowest grades, the same goes for Cena, he works hard but his best ain't good enough.

Cena needs to lose his title. Hopefully he'll finally get beat at Backlash. I hope Randy Orton get the title because he hasn't been in the WWE Title picture in a while or Shawn Michaels so he can have one last reign as champ.

I say HBK or Edge. If they are going to let either have the title it should be for a few months not get the title and have Cena win it back a week or a month later.

considering the fact that it has nothing to really do with this thread and hopefully some of the moderators give us some shit for it I will definitley answer it... I would love to see The Game get it when he comes back for summerslam, but seeing how everyone bitches about Cena none of you will agree because September is just too far away and I will throw a temper tantrum if Cena doesnt lose the belt by backlash. HHH is the true champ in this organization and Cena is great IMO but he is no HHH.

John Cena did not deserve to keep the title at WrestleMania and that is the damn truth. This guy gets worse and worse everytime he steps into the ring. John Cena is the main representation of what is wrong with WWE today. They're too busy in becoming ''pop culture'' to focus on what they really need help on: Wrestling.

Downward Spiral said it the best. John Cena is a disgrace to wrestling. In my mind, TNA needs to focus on becomining popular, and WWE needs to focus on putting their best talent as champion. You look at any main eventer in TNA, and I guarentee you that they have more charisma, and are better wrestlers than John Cena. Take Christian for example. If Wrestling was based on actual wrestling and not thinking in Merchandise, Cena would be the number one Jobber in WWE. But no. I agree with Spiral where he says that WWE has the talent to go back to their glory days, and you want to know why? Because it's true.

John Cena is not limited because of his gimmick. Whoever came up with that was obviously a Cena mark. Cena has been given 2 years to improve and from what I've seen, he's done absolutely nothing to help himself in that area. It's not about people boo'ing Cena anymore. It's the WWE as a whole. I feel like I'm back in 1995 again. Just praying that there's competition like WCW around. TNA needs to focus on getting people like Trump on their show to get more popular. WWE is known world-wide. They need help with their main-eventing.

If you think that John Cena is a good wrestler, then you haven't been watching for very long. Whatever happened to all the talent they used to have? Hasn't every top heel in WWE jobbed to Cena? Pretty much everyone has put Cena over but they all get cheered. When is Vince going to learn that the more you put Cena out there, the more he's going to get boo'ed? Improve? Cena has gone backwards. Anyone remember him when he first broke in under the "rtuhless aggression" gimmick? Well, back then he actually could wrestle and put on a few nice matches vs. angle and others. But now he is pure garbage, with no signs of getting any better. The fact that JR and King can look themselves in the mirror and lie to all of you time and time again by saying that Cena vs. HBK match was the best match of all time, etc... Is too funny!!! Every move, every counter looked forced and pre-rehearsed 1000's of times to the point that Michaels needed to hold Cena's hand to do any of them. And I hate HBGay as you all know but he doesn't deserve to job to a loser like this and neither do any of the other 100's of werstlers that schooled cena (but still lost on the 5 moves of doom) deserve it...

As I told you all before, wrestlemania would let you down again. The 2 championship fights were jokes. Batista/Cena do not belong in main events, nor anywhere near midcard. Just like I told they would be... I am glads they allowed Taker to get his rightful win, but god that match bored me to death, just as the last one did...
