i seriously hate john cena. idc who he loses the title too, as long as he LOSES IT. umaga is just worse, i mean, wtf does he do? sure hes the IC champion but all he does is ram his big fat ass into his opponents faces and some dumbass move called the samoan spike. but umaga isnt the subject right now, so i was furious when HBK didnt beat the living hell outta john cena at WM23, i was pissed actually, but its ok, maybe WWE will realize the mistake they're doing and make HBK beat cena at backlash for the WWE championship. and sean 'Taker/Batista match wasnt boring, you just dont know a good match when you see one, im just glad that finally WWE did something good for once and gave 'Taker the title that is rightfully his.
I don't know a good match. You better get some glasses man. Any Batista match is boring, even when the Undertaker was in it. Boring boring boring. And I don't know good wrestling? I've been watching since the 80's when wrestling was actually considered a sport and not this crap entertainment. When it actually was fun to watch, had passion, drama, larger than life characters. A purpose. A meaning. Now it is far from being where it should be. And mcmahonnican could care less. He has your money and your attention. You are no better than sheep if you have the nutz to praise any of these "main event" type matches of today. They aren't half the matches with half the interest of any past Wrestlemania/ wrestling ppv's matches.. But as immature and stupid fans that many of you are, this point goes right over your head and you somehow still actually think this crap is wrestling. Well it's not. Too many no talent losers posing as champions, too many soap opera type storylines that go nowhere and are nothing more than fodder for mcmahonnican to ponder while sitting on the toilet. And far too much airtime wasted on those said losers and their said boss...

In OVW as "The Prototype," Cena was awesome. He could wrestle and he was probably one of the best heels OVW ever had. I also liked his finisher which was called the Protoplex. He still uses it. It's that spin out back slam that he does but he did it better back then. Once he started the rapper gimmick, it all went down hill. I would really love to see him drop it and show us what he can really do.
Everyone says that Cena was better when he was The Prototype. But that's bullshit. You cant honestly believe that a wrestler is actually getting worse in there prime? You might think he was a better wrestler then but he wasnt. He just didnt do the 5-Knuckle Shuffle and shit like that then. Move's like that slow the match down. Without them the match move's at a faster pace, thus it look's like a better match.

Looking back to Cena's Umaga Matches he looked weak.Umaga had to carry him though the whole Match. then moving on to when Cena had his Match with Beniot one of the best and US Champion , watch that match and you willl see Beniot doing things to make cena look a whole lot better and in my opinion, that makes Beniot 10 times better for making Cena look like he can actually hold a match longer than 10 mins.then when you watch the HBK Match at Wrestlemania HBK carried this whole match and then Cena comes up with a couple of moves "YOU CAN'T SEE ME" Fist Drop? FU is a good Firemans Carry Slam. STFU is a good hold if they can make Cena mount an offence long enough to wear someone down to put it on, or how about HBK dealing with Cena doing a no sell on his "hurt knee"
yeah you can say I am utterly disgusted I don't care if Edge wins the Title hell even Eugene can get the title and I would be more happy to watch his ass on TV every week then to have to submit to another Weak John Cena Match , the Rip that Flair gave to Carlito should be directed at John Cena , HHH should get on his case as well, to be a great Champion you have to know how to tell a story in the ring if you are getting your ass kicked in the ring and manage a win then advertise him as the Underdog Champ with a Heart that can over come nearly anything, don't try to push his weak matches down our throat and say he is a fighting champ and he is a Dominating Champ, hell you heard it in JR's voice he was no where near the level of excitement of even calling the Melina vs Ashely Match , JR is a Fan and he knew JOHN CENA Can't carry a Match past 10 mins if it had a Handle on it and was sitting on top of a Motor driven Carriage.

Everybody says that Cena would be a better wrestler as a heel, i cant see how that would be. The only thing it does is lets idoits who are way judgemental the chance to boo John Cena. I personnally like John Cena, he is one of Five favourite wrestlers. everyone says he has five moves but thats bullshit and everyone knows it. everyone says he cant wrestle thats bullshit also, if he couldnt wrestle than the wwe wouldnt put their biggest title on him would they. cut the man some slack, all he is doin is entertaining and all you people can do is find ways to run him down for no reason, you all need to grow up

I watched Cenas title challenge against Lesnar at some Backlash, He did show that he was better as a choice of move selection, nowhere did we see the standard Shit we see nowadays, Im not a fan but I don't hate him. But this match did show what Cena should be and it sure ain't the babyface champion. Cena showed what he could do in the Ring in regards to selling in this match and he did have the domination of said match for the majority of it, Surprisingly I enjoyed the match.
I honestly, truly feel bad for John Cena. I'm not a fan of his really, but I don't mind him that much, although I do wish he would drop the f*ing belt!
Here is my take, I watched a little video thing I found that showed John Cena coming up in the business, and it cuts out right when he gets signed to the development deal. You can tell this guy loves what he is doing. You can't say that the rapper gimmick was gay really, because he was the ONLY one doing it. Rap has a huge influence on people, and to have a white dude, coming to the ring, freestyles his promos and freestyles his opponents to verbal abuse, has gold written all over it. Think of the fan interaction, you don't have to agree with it for it to be entertaining. It got the fans into the action, whatever he did after that, mattered little. He could get away with the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Much the way the Rock could get away with the People's Elbow, if you have the verbal skills to get over with the fans, it doesn't matter what you do.
They did however, make the mistake of giving him the Title too early, and I don't wanna hear this crap about the spinner belt being gay, because that also, is what is "in" nowadays. He got the belt too early because of the fact that that people who weren't able to get Smackdown on the east coast... really didn't know who John Cena was. Here on the East, UPN was a west coast based station, and only few towns and cities would get that channel. Quite a few people I have talked to were left in the dark about Cena.
But the biggest mistake they could have possibly made... is taking the rapper gimmick away from him. He is literally the only Champ, to change gimmicks, while STILL being champ, that I know of. We aren't talking about face to heel, or vise verse. We are talking about going from Thuganomics to Pvt. Pussbag United States Marine Corp. I know what the intention was, they wanted to pay respects by having a "military" character be the champ. But they could have used someone already on the roster for that. Wasn't Booker T a army kind of guy in WCW. They made the mistake of making Cena stop rapping... and do "intense" promos... where he comes off looking like a goober. You take away the mic skills, you take away what so many people liked about the guy, and he can't get away with doing The 5 Knuckle Shuffle.
If The Rock stopped talking completely, and changed from The People's Champ to being... The Scorpion King, and I'm talking full on... "I'm from Egypt land, I defeated Anubis" and the full gear and he shoots arrows with plastic tips into the crowd with little notes attached that say "I used to be The Rock"... think about it... would your REALLY cheer for the SCORPION KING!?

I voted for I despise him, but it's not really I despise the guy John Cena, I despise his push and his title reign. I think people can be overly harsh on Cena, he's not the best talnt in WWE, but he's not the worst either. If I were in charge of WWE he'd be at IC/US title level. I feel bad for the guy getting booed every week, ruining his 'moments' but the fact is, he shouldn't be having them yet. So I'm happy to see him get booed, not because I hate the guy, because the WWE has to listen one day, right?

^Bingo. Me personally, I don't find Cena to be the worst wrestler ever, let alone the worst on the current Raw roster. However, if I were running that book, he'd only be in a tag team because his vocabulary in the ring is too damn limited to carry a company. He does much better in consistent situations with limited spot-work where he gets a break to think of his next layout. He's pretty damn good on the mic, and I've never seen someone make HHH look like more of a horse's ass during promo than during Cena's impression (even though that amounted to jack squat in the end). My irritation is that the WWE infrastructure is set up to try and convince the world that Cena is God's gift to wrestling, when in reality he's no more equipped for that position than the average fan. He's got charisma, but charisma isn't the only thing that gets you through a thirty minute match at Wrestlemania without completely f**king it up.

Cena needs to go back to his rapper gimmick and he needs to get out of the WWE title picture for a while. A heel turn would do him some good too. They should put him in the tag team division for a while with someone. They could use him there.

I think WWE has really booked themselves into a corner with Cena and his "Marine" gimmick. WWE loves to make a big deal about how much it supports the troops and care about the troops and stuff. While that is all fine and admirable, it also makes doing anything with Cena's character other than make him be a stand-up guy really difficult. How do you turn "The Marine" heel without having him turn his back on military members he is supposed to be a representative of? By the same token, how do you get him to switch back to his rapper gimmick or really change to anything else without sending the "I don't care about the Marines" anymore? The only thing I can think of that would really work is to just make him angry and out of control, but still keep remnants of the Marine gimmick. The best example I can think of is when he went to ECW to challenge Sabu to the Lumberjack match at whatever PPV that was after ONS 06. At least he was all pissed off and intense rather than goody goody like he is now.
I don't like to be hating on Cena so much but after tonights Raw when are the writers going to realize that it is a time for a change. I can't tell if people really hate this guy or they're booing him like people boo AROD (for fun). All I know each week the crowd boos him. The crowd was cheering for Edge and Orton the whole match who are suppose to be heels. Everytime he made a move the crowd booed.

I have no idea what the answer is but maybe getting him out of the spotlight for a while may change what people think of him instead of shoving him down our throats each week. I really hope that they decide to give the title to one of the other three guys at Backlash and give us something new for a change. He has had the title for 22 out of the last 25 months. He has beaten credible guys like Jericho, Christian, Angle, Big Show, HBK, HHH, and Edge. Its time for him to get out of the main event for a while.

I personally like Cena as a wrestler. Ya he may not have a huge move set but I like his character and his little one liners. His little feud with Edge was good, it got me watching raw every week to see what happend next.
I'm a Cena fan...I just think it's one of those loyalty things. All the crap about him not being able to wrestle and all that...if you've really seen some of the guys WWE has put in that star position then you won't think Cena is that bad.
I honestly think that if Cena never did any rapping or threw any "gang signs" or tried to talk "hard" and all that, then more people would accept him, regardless of his in-ring ability. A lot of people use the "he can't wrestle" argument as their main reason for not liking Cena, but come on now most of these people are white guys who see Cena as a "thug rapper" and they don't like "thug rappers" so they automatically don't like Cena. It's something people try to shy away from when assessing Cena because they don't want to turn it into a racial/prejudice issue.
The bottom line is that ten years from now we're going to look back and realize that Cena truly is the most controversial champion of all time, never has their been a face champion who carried as much hatred but still battled and fought and even improved in the ring a little bit and still not get the respect he deserves. A true champ in my opinion whose legacy will be remembered whenever his time in the WWE is done.
