[Official] Draft 2007 Discussion

And thats three people banned in the last couple of hours from this Thread. The next person that spams will cause this Thread to be locked... I am well and truly sick to death of people not taking notice of warnings.

This is how i think it should go...

Smackdown* Rey Mysterio to ECW, Booker T to ECW, Chris Beniot to RAW
RAW* Shelton Benjamin to Smackdown, Triple H to Smackdown, Johnny Nitro to ECW
ECW* CM Punk to RAW, Marcus Cor Von to RAW, Kevin Thorn to Smackdown

Reasons... (Just for you Jonny B)

to Smackdown

Triple H - Could have a whole load of new feuds with the likes of Mr Kennedy etc & could reopen fueds with Edge & Batista.
Kevin Thorn - Could start a new ministry thing with 'Taker
Shelton Benjamin - Could have great matches with Cruiserweights.

to ECW

Rey Mysterio - To bring back extreme high flying action to ECW, imagine a feud between Rob Van Dam & Mysterio :lol2:
Booker T - Could become the Jule of ECW and go on to become to ECW Champ, Feuding with the likes of the Sandman in the Future, bring back something similar to the old ECW.
Johnny Nitro - Great Athletic ability, Cocky Attitude, Could join the New Breed, Replacing Marcus Cor Von

to RAW

Marcus Cor Von - Has the Ability to be a huge star, good finisher, could feud with Umaga, the great Khali (to put over MCV shear strength)

CM Punk - Great Ability, Crowd loves him, could feud with anyone for the Intercontiental Title.

Chris Beniot - WWE Championship contender, Experience to Replace Triple H, not being used right on Smackdown.

and oh
Jonny B stop suspended people :dark2: , The title of this thread is called Draft 2007, so we are talking about the draft, what the hell is wrong with that? we come on this forum to say are views on wrestling, once we do, you suspend us. Grow up and let us speak are mind. (I'm guessing your going to suspend me but oh well...) :icon_evil:

jai_patterson 15, and to all others that have a problem with what jonny says, it's real simple. There is a reason why we are trying to have this thread stay alive in the WWE Section. If people actually discussed why they think a wrestler should go to a certain show, then it would cause good debate and conversation.

We have a LiveDiscussion and Spam Zone for a reason. If you simply just want to list wrestlers, I suggest you start a thread in that forum, and list to your hearts content. If you wish to post on this forum, you will follow the rules set by the administration of this website. It's as simple as that. If you don't like the rules of this website, check out the thousands of other wrestling forums on the web.

It's real simple guys, read the rules, you won't get banned. The Admins are more then fair on this website, when they could have closed this thread a few weeks ago. Follow the rules, there won't be any trouble.

Listing is Spam, end of story, don't like it, don't post here.

i have heard alot of rumors that the rock will b making an apperence at the draft? is there any backing to that or are these stories just rumors?

Another One Spams... I'm locking this Thread until after RAW has aired Tomorrow Night, that way people can have a Discussion about actual trades rather than just rumoured Trades.

Anyone who starts another Draft Related Thread will be Banned.

I for one am happy about it. This is just what Raw needed. Share your thoughts on it. I can't wait I hop they put him as champ. What does everyone think there going to do with him??. I can't wait till next week!

I like ken kennedy comin to raw i think its an awsome idea ide love to see some kennedy cena/shawn michaels/hhh fueds cant wait to see it!

im kinda torn about this. on the one hand, its good that kennedy is on raw and will finally get to be in the spotlight. but this will only work well if they keep him in the main event picture but not give him a world title run. id like for him to win the rumble, then go on to resume his countdown to wm24, and challenge edge as revenge for taking his mitb contract. so having a kennedy/edge smackdown main event at wrestlemania would the final result. obviously this would need to have a good build up, but it could work. i just dont want to c wwe ignore the great feud that they could have with kennedy and edge

Absoloute great news for Raw the draft was going really against Raw up until then but Kennedy just about means Raw gets a good deal from the draft, as did ECW- excluding the boogyman. Smackdown has realy lost out it is my feeling Benoit, Booker and Kennedy all gone, and Khali back on there. I guess Vince felt smackdown was getting better than Raw (which 2bh it was).

Here's my predictions and reasonings:

At Venganence Cena will drop his title. It's between King Booker and Randy Orton winning. Cena will lose the match due to interference by Mister Kennedy. This sets up a fued between the 2 and gets Cena outta the title picture for a while. I believe the writers are searching for some good non-title storylines and who could be better than Cena and Kennedy? Cena is fairly descent on the mic as is Kennedy. The promos cut for the fued would be hilarious and instense. With the title outta the picture who I see a win or two for both along the course of the fued... possibly with the title getting involved latter. However, those are my predictions.

I'm excited that Kennedy is on RAW! I don't watch Smackdown, so I hear about this guy who's exciting on the mic and in the ring? AND he's a heel? HELL YEA. This fued might be what Cena needs to get acceptance as a face.

It's all a long shot though.

Kennedy will thrive on whatever brand he is on. He is my favorite up and comer hands down. I don't see what this pick does for smackdown (or any of the draft for that matter) as smackdown was low on main event talent. It does make the rich richer though as RAW can have some great fueds with Kennedy vs. Cena, Michaels, or HHH. Lets hope they don't put him against Lashley.

I kinda feel like WWE is throwing away a big heapin helpin of heat by trading Kennedy to Raw. I mean I was there at Raw the night Edge beat Kennedy for the MitB and I freakin wanted to see a rematch, a fair rematch, for the Title at like Summerslam. Before he was drafted I woulda guessed that he would return by running in on the Do or Die match and costing Batista so he could get his hands on Edge. Then Batista and Kennedy have a short feud culminating in a #1 contenders match (through some loop hole where Batista gets another shot at the title bc he was screwed) where Kennedy wins and goes on to get his revenge on Edge at Summerslam.............Vince McMahon, or should i say Shane McMahon bc Vince just 'sploded, those my friend are ratings

I would personally like to see him take out Santino and be Intercontinental first. Then start mocking Cena, make him loose the title. Cena then helps him loose his title to someone like Jeff Hardy, then Lader match at Summerslam!

Nothing wrong with that!

I see Kennedy becoming like the rock, how everyone loves him and hes a bright and young star and could become one the all time greats (you never know)....I for one, am happy about Kennedy going to raw. Heres to Kennedy ending the reign of terror that cena has bestowed upon us

Here here

i strongly believe your on the nail there Kennedy has the potential to be just like the Rock. Hell even better if he turned face, or even a Stone Cold heel, you hate him...but you love him at the same time.

Only problem is, like JR said in his blog a couple of weeks ago. Kennedy is injury prone. He hasn't been around long and allready has had two big injuries

Smackdown pretty much got screwed...they lost 3 main eventers in Benoit, Booker and Kennedy..and they got
the Khali (another monster heel, we already have Henry)
Masters ( out of all the young superstars with potential they could have given us..you give us Masters..great..we get a Masterlock challenge every week featuring Funaki and Daivari)
Torrie WIlson (....whatever....)
and Flair (great for nostalgia, but on Raw he was basically just a storyline actor)

guess Vince felt smackdown was getting better than Raw (which 2bh it was).

Exactly! I mean, theres still the "supplemental draft"..but who knows about that, they did that in the past, where they basically moved low carders and jobbers in "trades", but hopefully since their publicizing this even more, they'll actually move people of greater value.

Realstically when the big names come back from injury HHH, HBK, Jericho, Undertaker, Mysterio there going to move around the draft again using such lines as my personal favourite 'contracts run out' so that proper talent can be put back on their proper brands.

I'm just looking forward to the inevitable...
Edge (and whatever stable he'll have at the time) losing the Heavyweight Title to the Undertaker.
John Cena losing the WWE Title to Mick Foley, all because of Mr Kennedy and maybe Finlay.
CM Punk finnaly getting what he deserves and being the ECW Champion.

From what I saw tonight you can tell that McMahon and company really thought that Smackdown was becoming the better show as they let Benoit, Booker, and the future of professional wrestling Kennedy go. Most of the picks were ok as they give the band what it need for ECW a new champion in Benoit and poor Benoit he gets to rot the rest of carrier in ECW.

Then Smackdown gets a old flair, a giant who cant wrestler, a diva who cant wrestle, and a young masterpeice who is a joke. Poor Smackdown they were doing so well and now look at them. Well only thing is that Edge should be world champion forever...look at the roster now no one is better than him now.

Then RAW got more star power in Lashley, Booker and Kennedy. I mean they are trying their best to make RAW the "A" show. though if they make Kennedy heel he can become a great heel on RAW and Booker will add to the mix. sadly though Lashley and Cena on RAW is crap as does that mean now the WWE Championship will be passed around from Cena to Lashley now.

My opinions on each pick:

Raw:

Snitzky: What was the point in moving him to ECW in the first place? The only reason he's been brought back over to Raw is to be fed to Cena. Nobody gives a fuck about his so why not.

Ken Kennedy: A great choice. Other than facing Edge he's done eveything he can on Smackdown. The only problem I have is that I dont see him taking over Cena or HHH's spot. I cant see him leading the brand. But I could on Smackdown.

Bobby Lashley: Meh. If they want him to be the next big superstar then they need him on the biggest show. Problem is that the Raw wrestlers are far superior and he will look out his depth.

King Booker: I still think there was plenty for him to do on Smackdown. I see him just being in the mid card until he get moved around again.

Smackdown:

The Great Khali: Wasn't he on Smackdown a few months ago? He's WWE's hot potato. After getting beaten by Cena on two PPV's there's not much left for him to do anyway.

Ric Flair: Well he's been on Raw since 2002 so it's time for a change.

Torrie Wilson: Who gives a shit?

Chris Masters: Who's he going to face? Somebody should inform WWE that Velocity is now ECW, and that is where he should be.

ECW:

The Boogeyman: Meh.

Chris Benoit: Great choice. He was a mid carded on Smackdown. Imagine what he would be like on Raw. He instantly brings the brand some credability.

Raw wrestlers are NOT far superior to Bobby Lashley.
Do some research homie..research
And he was on Smackdown, and smackdown WRESTLES more than Raw, so wth does that mean?

Raw main eventers are more superior. Are you saying that Lashley is better than HBK, Orton, Cena & HHH? You should do some research. Lashley sucks. And it will be for all to see when he starts wrestling weekly on Raw. ECW isn't viewed as much as Raw. And when he's on PPV's he's very rarley in the main event. Sure you could call Lashley/Vince a main event. But it didn't go on last. Why? Because WWE know he doesnt have the skills or charisma to finish a PPV. And before you mention No Mercy 06 there were 3 other people in that main event. Same with this months Vengeance.

And he was on Smackdown, and smackdown WRESTLES more than Raw, so wth does that mean?

I have got no idea what that means.

Jake and Shaft, I disagree with both of you. While I do see Jake's point on Lashley being below the rest of the main eventers on the RAW roster, I think he's the type of character guy who will raise his game to a new level based on who his competition is. Some guys out there perform like superstars when they are in the ring with legends, and like midcarders when they are in with other midcarders (see: Shelton Benjamin vs HHH, Shawn Michaels vs when he is in tag team action). I think Lashley will take it to another level on RAW, and I'd even like to see him face off with or even team up with Mr. Kennedy to help him with his mic skills.

I am concerned about sending Khali to Smackdown because they teased a program with he and Umaga, which may have temporarily made them both interesting. Splitting them up now I thought was a tad premature. Jake, sorry your Umaga / Khali tag team idea won't come to fruition.

I was shocked Kane didn't get drafted to RAW or ECW. After Snitsky got drafted, I expected Kane to move too. Either way, I think I have more reasons to watch Smackdown now, although I still have too much of a life to be home on a Friday night.

In closing, the BEST part, dare I say the HIGHLIGHT of the Draft Special wasn't the draft, wasn't McMahon pulling a Sam Rothstein at the end of Casino, wasn't even Bret Hart or Steve Austin shooting on McMahon, it was the COMMENTARY, and most specifically, JBL. He was a riot!!! He's the best commentator in WWE because he isn't fed obvious lines and speaks the way a wrestling fan thinks. The line of the night was JBL telling Michael Cole "I hope you get drafted to OVW. I'll do the show by myself!"

There's still more to go. Umaga needs to move. He's lost to Cena and he's been made to look like McMahons lackey.

I still think he might move. I think they will put a few bigger superstars in the draft. They still want people to be intrested. If people like Regal, Kenny, Matt Striker etc move then it wont get the attention they want. But if they chuck in a few bigger names it will get more exposure. If he moves to Smackdown then it might get more ratings on Friday. People will hear about the move on Wednesday and make a point of watching it on Friday. Maybe.
