:lmao:

Thanks quite a bit for that. There are matches posted in all of them. I did that so people that hadn't seen the threads could post in them and have something to see.

I only do it because I love you Lariat. It hurts me more than it hurts you.

Are you going to post in the thread on the 8-man match?

I'm not looking for another debate, I just want to see if your opinions on it changed, now that it's over and done with.

I didn't see anything after Feast or Fired and I only saw the results of it. I saw maybe 10 minutes of the whole show.

Your Eddie Guerrero views are upsetting me. Not because he's not overrated. He clearly is. But because I don't think he was made the champion simply because Lesnar was leaving.

If they needed the belt off of Lesnar ASAP, they could have thrown the belt to either Angle or Show or someone established and had them drop it to Taker or JBL or whoever they eventually wanted as champ. They didn't have to give it to Eddie. It was a choice. I think the plan was always to get the belt off of Lesnar heading towards Goldberg; they moved Benoit to Raw and Eddie into the top spot as a calculated move to cultivate the hispanic demographic. Eddie dropped it because he had confidence issues, not because he was bombing too badly as champion. He was going to get the strap back eventually. So it's not as though he was destined to be a lifetime midcard guy who got a couple decent breaks. There was intent to make him a big star, and he wasn't just the default guy because Lesnar was leaving. As I said, you still had either Angle or Show who were more established and could transition the strap to other guys if need be.

Also, your theory that great wrestlers don't have crap matches doesn't hold weight with me. Reason number one is that the supposedly greater HBK (not your words, just general opinion) had a crap match with JBL. Reason number two is that the JD match isn't all that shit.

Didn't wanna derail the PPV of the Decade thread. Just wanted to say that. Not sure why though. Whenever I counter what other people say, they normally restate their position more strongly than before rather than accepting that they're probably wrong and retracting their earlier statements. It's the strangest thing.

Good wrestlers can definitely have bad matches. Look no further than Brock-Goldberg.

KB, do you like music? Strange question, but you seem like one of the Lee-types---those who "don't listen to music". You know, the soulless people.

I think with Eddie it was a case of throwing something against a wall to see if it stuck. he was over, but I don't think it was over enough to validate the world title going on him. Show I simply can't see getting the belt as he was just too out of shape for it. Angle...maybe, but like I said I hink they wanted to try something new. I still don't think he would have gotten it without Lesnar leaving as Lesnar was a surefire champion already.

As for Eddie and JBL, the problem wasn't all Eddie's. The problem partially was that he had zero heat and no one bought him as credible so the crowd sucked the life out of it and the guys didn't know how to react to that, which is understandble as it would rattle anyone. Also the bullrope match was just a bad choice for a gimmick. It's like the table match where you don't have to actually do anything yet you can change the title anyway. Bradshaw needed to get a clean pin and never did that, which made him seem more illegimate which angered the fans even more. The JD match isn't bad, but it's far from great.

Also, quite a few of those were embelished things in there. I'm not that extreme against Eddie, but he's far from a master like so many people say.

I listen to a decent amount but it's mainly mainstream stuff. I'm certainly more of a casual fan of it than most as it's not something that enthralls me, but yeah I listen to a good amount.

I just don't understand how anyone could be casual about music. It's like...the universal language and rhythm that binds us all and other similarly cheesy observations I read off of this Farm Aid '87 pamphlet.

When i say casual I mean there's very few bands I get hooked on. I have music going about 80% of the time when I'm driving. It's that or ESPN radio. I always have my ipod with me, so maybe it's a bit more than casual. I'm not sure how to put it.

KB you sound like me. You like music. Not sure if you listen to one sort of genre or any kind. I listen to any kind of genre with country behind my favorite. Like there are people that are crazy in love with it and analyze it to the core and then others who listen to it, like it and want to hear it again in the future. At least that is how I am haha.

Off note....did you watch the Southern Miss/Mid Tennessee St New Orleans Bowl game. Pretty good game. I DVR'd it so I didn't miss it due to the Vikings game (lets not even go there). Back and forth action and I've been rather impressed with Dwight Dasher, reminds me of a poor man's Vince Young.
