Very true. But still, it's rather surprising seeing as how week one and two weren't the best of what I could bring. Goes to show it took me two weeks to get it together.

Well look at the thread in the Cigar Lounge, I' m not sure how many specifically Crock, Barbosa and I posted in there, but the thread has about 54 replies.

Thats alright Becker you and the other judges can proceed when your ready and able too. Besides us debaters are always going to be distracted each week when we have a match to debate in each week. The job needs to be done eventually but it does not need to be done right this instant.

Last year, I thought I did very well in some debates but there were others where I didn't do so well in. I won some debates and lost some. And like D-Man, sometimes I would lose one round and not get many points at all. Either ways it was fun to be in this.

So we're in week five now, huh? Well I hope I get to join the fun before the League is over.

As do we, ST. But we've got to stick with the first-come, first-serve mentality here. It seems like our current debaters are on autopilot right now and kicking ass. But only time will tell how long they last.

I've said it since day one... this is a grueling process. Hence the reason why winning this tournament is such a big deal. Everyone knows how hard and time consuming it can be and everyone takes that into account when they debate on joining the league (no pun intended). But once they get into their stride, they'll feel a huge sense of accomplishment, win or loss.

Not that I'm suggesting dropping GuyCompton right away, but I'm curious now what the protocol is for adding in alternates. It seems we have a few guys that can't make the week to week requirements of this event, and I'd like to see more guys in it that are ready to rock week in and week out.

We try to give a lot of rope. We know how taxing this tourney can be so we allow everyone to make their own decisions about posting. Sometimes, guys have a lot going on in their lives. They can skip a debate or two if their points can afford it. But once we see that someone is not putting any effort into the tourney, we replace them.

Guy is reliable and would let us know if he couldn't continue. He's already PM'ed me once. Just continue with your debating, gain your points, and have a nice day.

FYI for everyone - I just sent an email out to all of the judges asking them to please get up to date with judging the debates. I am well-aware that we are on Week Five and have not completed judging for Week Two yet.

I have done all but 3 of the Round 3 debates for today as it's getting late and my judging/thinking starts to lack at this time.

I will try and get Round 3 finished and start Round 4 tomorrow or Wednesday, might be the latter as I expect to have a busy evening to go with work.
