Would you want your mod to just let off the gas and back down? Like I said, he deserves the shot at the very least, i know he's in right now but it's close. Would you want March Madness to not have Duke in it just because people don't like them?

You're not, I enjoy him too. I'm just asking what makes them more qualified? I'm not saying Sexy should run away with this thing, I'm just saying he needs to be in it. He's the best poster on the bubble right now.

Well, I don't think he's really on the bubble. I think he's assured in at the moment. Those on the bubble are Remix, Angel, Numbers, and anyone else that has 17-18 votes. At the moment, barring a barrage of votes, Sexy is in, man, really is.

As for what makes me think Becker is more deserving, eh, been here longer, more posts, that sort of thing. I disagree with him on a lot of stuff. But I can see why at least deserves a chance

I'm not saying that, I'm saying that we don't need a mod in the most active NWS section to get pissy every time someone disagrees with him just like Sexy does now.

He's only 3 votes ahead of those guys when he should have around 30. I'm not taking anything away from Becker or ChiHawks, they both know I respect the hell out of them, but when I think about the sports guys Sexy is near the top.

Honestly, without being too bold, this is not a reason why someone should be modded. I think Becker has the most posts out of all the sports guys but I cannot be bothered checking to make sure.

Personally, I think that it should come down to the person who has shown the most promise because being a mod is an unmeasurable quantity in itself. Just because someone has the most posts or has been here the longest, it doesn't mean that they will fit into the role easier if their time comes.

Personally, I think it should be Big Sexy or Chilli. Blue has an outsiders shot at it, I think and I would be pleased if any of these guys got it. Trust me though, when the later rounds come up, the men will be separated form the boys and some candidates will shine whilst other fade. A large post count is not going to shield anyone from that.

Look, Dave, I'm not going to lie... If I may be bold myself, if that was 100% true, I would have been mod of a section at least some point in my posting career. Hell, Razor and Echelon both had thought I'd already become a mod on these forums. What holds me back is the assumption that I have spotty returns, something that everyone knows the reason for, and I think everyone here accepts.

You're right, there is something unmeasurable. But there is also something about paying your dues here.

I don't think that at all, really, there's plenty of truth to what Dave is saying. I think you deserve a chance, but that said, Dave isn't saying anything untrue but the statement he said. I just differ with one thing, really, and that is that people should also pay their dues a little bit
