NFL Week 17 LD

I think they'll give him more than that. The Rams are terrible, they're likely to fire their coach tomorrow, they have very little talent outside of an aging Stephen Jackson.

I think they'll give Bradford more than 2 healthy seasons.

I should have clarified. If he has another season like this one and he's healthy for the most part then I think they may move on. If he goes back to more of what he did his rookie season then he'll get a couple years.

Another thing I'd like to point out with Stafford is he became just the third qb in NFL history to throw for over 5,000 yards and over 40 td's. That's something only Drew Brees and Dan Marino can say along with Stafford. Not bad for a guy who only had 13 career starts before this season.

EDIT: I'd go as far to say that Stafford is number three in the MVP race right behind Rodgers and Brees. Ahead of Brady because of how bad the Lions have been the last decade.

I said to myself before that kick, Tynes will miss this. As much as I love him because he's British, we need a new kicker.

The New York Giants actually have a running game competent enough to force defenses to play honest. The Lions are a totally one dimensional team, everyone knows they are going to pass, the defenses know they are going to pass, the fans in the stands and watching on TV know they are going to pass. Yet, despite Matt Stafford playing against defenses that know exactly what the Lions are goijng to do, has still done it better than Eli, and by a lot. Stafford has seen more nickel and dime defenses this year than Eli has, I can guarantee that. Why does that matter? Because it's a hell of a lot harder to throw for 40 TDs against that than it is against standard 3-4 or 4-3 defenses that Eli faces more often.

Or maybe the coaches, players, and fans were wrong in this situation like they were when making a few of their other picks (Brian Urlacher making it for example). The fact that the Lions have become the bad boys of the NFL likely didn't do Stafford any favors. In fact I'm sure it played a role in them only getting one guy selected to the pro bowl.

Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. Your guy lost despite his better statistics. You can speculate on the "bad boy" image all you want and I will speculate that there are more fans, coaches and players who hate Eli because of that stupid look on his face.

Until Stafford accomplishes more, there is no way you can easily argue that he has surpassed Manning.

Romo seemed kind of stupid. He had enough time and space to get that first down by just rushing it and sliding.

Since when did the pro bowl become a career achievement award? It's a game for the best players in a particular season. This season Stafford was better then Eli.

Watch out for a few of the New York Giants in the hurdles at the 2012 Olympics.

Also, BRADSHAW! Woooo. Bring on those Falcons.

Here is the comment that triggered this whole discussion:

There is not a single person who can make a legitimate case for Stafford not being a pro bowler.

Here is how I should have started my whole argument:

The ProBowl selection process is a huge popularity contest, Eli Manning is a much more popular player than Stafford, for a few reasons, some being where he plays, his last name, & the fact that he's played longer than Staffor.

Glad to know I am not the only one to disagree with Big Sexy. Thanks for the support Justin.

When did I say I disagree with Big Sexy?, I don't I disagree with the way the Pro Bowl voting process works, players should get in based on their season, not how popular they are. Sorry but I'm with Sexy on this one, Stafford> Eli, for this year at least.
