NFL Week 17 LD

Regardless of who wins both teams have the capabilities and talent to make a run in the playoffs. Which likely means they will lose to Atlanta in the first round.

I wish the NFL would reseed once the playoffs started. I get having every division winner make the playoffs regardless of record but I don't think every division winner deserves a home game.

I was kind of conflicted. As a KC fan, I wanted them to win, but at the same time, I desperately did not want to see the Raiders get in the playoffs.

It was a great day to be a Chiefs fan.

My girlfriend is a Chiefs fan too, she is absolutely ecstatic that not only did the Chiefs beat the Broncos, but then immediately after that game finished, the CBS affiliate here in Michigan switched over to the SD/Oakland game, where she got to watch the Raiders lose too. She said she just got two more christmas presents this year, lol. Any day that KC wins and both Denver and Oakland lose, she is happy.

Since when does draft position indicate how good a player is or can be in the NFL. Charles Rogers was the second overall pick in the 2003 draft and was a complete bust. One year later Wes Welker went undrafted and is now one of the best receivers in the league. In 1994 Charles Johnson was the first receiver taken and was mostly a bust. That same year Rod Smith went undrafted.

Really? You're using the draft is no guarantee argument.

So what are you trying to say about Johnson? He's not the best wideout in football? The man is awesome, he gets open, he runs circles around guys, he has to be doubled and he still produces. Stafford has two very good catching TE's. RBs who can catch and a couple of speedy secondary wideouts who can get open underneath and down the sideline.

Indeed it was quite nice. I'm not quite as big of a fan as my cousin (who drove to New York just to go to the Chiefs game...he did make it on CBS though because he looked like a clown), but since I've disowned the Packers, the Chiefs are my team.

EDIT: Oh yeah, your girlfriend has great taste in football teams.

Calvin Johnson is easily the best wide out in football and I never said otherwise. You brought up the draft saying that Stafford had a ton of help from Johnson who was a high draft pick yet Eli had little help because Cruz was an undrafted no name. I was simply pointing out that just because a guy is undrafted it doesn't mean he isn't good and just because a guy is a high pick it doesn't mean he is going to be great. Just like Johnson has helped out Stafford, guys like Cruz and Hakeem Nicks (a first rounder from 2009) have helped out Eli. Eli has plenty of talent around him. Stafford may have slightly better overall receiving talent but not enough to make up for the +12 td/int ratio he had over Eli going into this week and the 3% he has on him in completion %. Not to mention the better record his team has.

Yeah Rob don't bother coaching or getting mad. Just stand there looking like they're out of fried cheese at the buffet again.
