NFL Week 17 LD

at 1-4 I'm pretty sure the Broncos were thinking that they needed something to spark the team/fanbase and since they weren't likely to go to the playoffs (while that's an early judgment yes let's not forget SD began 4-1) they decided to see what they had in Tebow, if anything. They spent a first rounder on him and were at least going to give him a tryout since they weren't going anywhere with Orton. Tebow's been very up and down but if they can make the playoffs the organization would have to consider the season a success.

This, basically. They were on pace for about 3-13 or 4-12 and at the moment, they're going to the playoffs. everything turned around when Tebow started for them. "Defense, running etc". Yes, we've heard it. Here in the world of common sense and not hating white people, it's a little clearer.

I'm not saying they shouldn't have made the move at that time just that If Orton was the starter all season or if Tebow was the starter all season I don't think the record would be much different if at all.

Because Kyle Orton is black

Denver needs a receiver that can catch. Trading Brandon Lloyd to STL for nothing was an awful move.

And now they'll have to be scoreboard watching.

Yea, go Raiders. maybe if we don't make the playoffs the front office won't be compelled to start Tebow next year.

Elway wants to replace him. He has all the ammo he needs now, I wouldn't be surprised if he drafted a QB in the first round.

I get why people were hard on Big Sexy before, but this isn't really debatable anymore, is it? Tebow has been figure out. He can't play in this league.

And the Lions and Bengals are both in the playoffs. 2012 is the end of the world.

Yep, hopefully we can make some trades and move up since Tebow played us out of a top 15 pick. Anyone but Miller/Dumervil should be up for grabs.

Just like with the wild cat it was only a matter of time until defenses figured out the Denver offense. That's why even when they were winning those close games in dramatic fashion I knew Tebow wasn't ready yet (and may never be) because he just didn't look good outside of the two minute drives. He has to drastically improve as a passer to be a successful starting qb for the long term. I'm not saying he can't do it but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.

Detroit vs. Cincinnati in the Super Bowl (in Indianapolis). Let's do this!

I would love this. However Cincy has a much easier path. They get the Texans and then if they win the Pats and their 32nd ranked defense. The Lions have to go through New Orleans and then if they win the Packers. Obviously not including the championship games.

Suck it Tebow. Denver's defense did everything it could to help him but his ass couldn't throw it. Go Oakland.
Tebow made a couple of catchable throws on the final drive, his receivers dropped them. Megatron is right, Denver needs at least one receiver who can get open and catch the ball. KC locked down Bronco receivers today.

I was kind of conflicted. As a KC fan, I wanted them to win, but at the same time, I desperately did not want to see the Raiders get in the playoffs.

It was a great day to be a Chiefs fan.

I think Tebow can get them through next year. Denver needs a WR far more than they need a quarterback. It doesn't matter what quarterback you bring in, if your receivers can't get open and can't catch the ball, then your passing game is not going to go well.

With the position the Broncos will have in this draft, it would seem silly to draft a QB, unless someone you're high on someone who falls, like Rodgers did to the Packers a few years ago.

Why? Because his team lost three games? Tebow was thrust into the starting role halfway through the season. The Broncos were not built at all to run a Tebow offense, and they had to adjust on the fly throughout the season.

Tebow might now work out. But how about people give him an actual preseason and a decent WR and/or TE to throw to before they use three games to say he sucks.
