NFL Draft 2010

Looking at the next few picks, Denver has to take Jimmy Clausen. Kyle Orton's a decent quarterback, but Jimmy Clausen could be a superstar. Bring him in, develop him, and Denver's right back to being an AFC Contender every year.

J, I love you, but Clausen is NOT Rogers. Clausen's selling point is he can come in and play right now. I don't like his ceiling, its no where near Rodgers, and the point with Rodgers is he sat like 3 or 4 years against one of the GOAT. Their completely different players.

Kiper said Leaf was better than Manning. He also said L.T won't be able to run enough to be successful in the NFL. I can't take Kiper seriously.

I'm not comparing the two; I'm just saying that teams who've passed up Clausen are going to regret it like the teams who passed up Aaron Rogers must feel at this point.

Pouncey was a good pick for Pit, big fan of his. Good pick here by ATL, Weatherspoon is gonna be a good player in my mind.

I think Clausen's potential right now is far greater than what Rodgers was coming out of college, not even including the ability he has to be a starter tomorrow.

The only teams who could have used him where the Rams, Bills, and 49ers imo. The rest of the top don't need a guy to step in right away, and honestly if their not starting right away Colt McCoy is a much sexier pick then Clausen.

I really thought the Bills would get him, but I knew he'd drop once he got past them.

That's where we disagree. I think Clausen's at his ceiling, or right about their. I see him as being solid, but never amazing.

Well really, how could you? Look at the man. He looks like a ******ed Elvis.

I tell you what, if I'm Minnesota and Clausen somehow falls into my lap, I'd seriously consider taking him. You just never know with Brett Favre, and Tarvaris Jackson has showed signs of greatness, but has not been consistent in the least bit. Hell, even if Clausen's not available, I'd consider Tebow or McCoy.

I'm hoping for Clausen for my Vikes. I wouldn't mind Tebow at all either. Not a fan of McCoy at all.

I mean, you just never know, obviously, but I've watched Jimmy Clausen every Saturday for the last three years. My dad is tapped into the Notre Dame boards with posters who are consistently around the program.

Everything I've ever heard or seen about Jimmy Clausen suggests he will be a very good NFL QB. He's not Brady Quinn.

He's got a lot of good intangibles. I like his reads, his biggest issue is his deep ball. To be honest, though, I don't see any of these QB's being "that" guy to turn a franchise around, not by themselves. Bradford needs to sit, imo. Cluasen will be solid but he needs some guys around him. McCoy needs a few years, and I don't think Tebow will ever be an outstanding QB but maybe in a few years a middle of the road guy.
