New MITB Holder

If they're going to put Edge on Smackdown!, they could always have Batista escape from the cage Friday via some kind of screwjob or fluke and do Batista vs. Edge for Judgment Day. If he stays on Raw, I agree with the going after Cena again bit. Heck, have Kane interfere with Taker to set up something when the Deadman comes back. But I'm a Kane mark, so that's probably wishful thinking.

Either way, I'm flat out disappointed about Kennedy's injury, his year-long buildup was the one thing I've been looking forward to most about WWE. And the way they're spinning it on WWE.com, with the whole "he may never return again" thing, it seems like he might come back face. Which would make sense if Edge goes to Smackdown! to set up that fued. I agree with some of the above posters though, it's too early for a face turn for Mr. K. He's just too good as a heel.

Even if Edge goes to Smackdown, he shouldn't cash in MITB right away. If Edge cashes in, he has to fued with Batista. While that might not be a terrible fued, it is gonna need some buildup in order to really take off. With Cena/Khali and Lashley/McMahon already being hyped for that card, a Batista/Edge match would be 1. a waste of a match on a card that no one is really interested in 2. a hot-shotted fued that won't even really get off the ground. Give Edge time to build up heat on smackdown..have him cut promos on all the champs, especially Benoit..have him rub in the fact that he now has MITB to Matt Hardy and MVP...all the while, Edge could chose Cena or Batista (who at this point will be mired in a horrible fued with Mark Henry...let that be the third main event for JD, write off JD as one of the worst cards in WWE history, blame it on the injuries and move on)... and by the time Edge is ready to cash in MITB, everyone will be begging for it even more than they are now... It's bad enough the WHC is gonna have to change hands with less than adaquate build-up....I think it would be a mistake to waste all the potential of the MITB at the same time.

ok i was just thinkn about the recent injurys on smackdown an i realy wish i could start a new thread but u cant but this would be very good i think,ok here it goes with the injurys on smackdown what would christians position be on smackdown if he hadnt juped 2 tna, could this have been his big push?

You're right, we just need to write Judgment Day as this years December to Dismember. So we go from a potential Hell in the Cell with the Undertaker, it didn't matter who the other guy was, it's a Cell with Taker, and oh ya, Big Dave Dudd, to a possible John Cena vs. Great Khali matchup at the end of the show, yikes. A rematch from Backlash with the McMahon's and Umaga vs. Bubby Leslie. Edge winning the MITB and getting involved in a hotshot angle with Big Dave Dudd is good, because as long as its a oneshot hotshot deal, and you don't weigh Edge down with Dead weight, I'm all for it.

Now onto your Question grizzly about Christian and how this would have affected him, tough to say, but I'm starting to believe he would be reaching Main Event status in WWE on default alone. He would be entering his 9th year with the company if he stayed. You never know if the CLB would have gotten a fair chance at the main event scene.

Another Question now, and this is a serious one, Kennedy, two major injuries in 18 months. They put the MITB on him, most likely he's going to win the Rumble to get his shot back, but if you are the WWE, do you risk putting a major title on him before he can prove he can stay healthy?

I think at Backlash somehow Cena is going to retain the title but be like bleeding everywhere and hurt and then Edge will come out and use his Money in the Bank and win. But when Mr. Kennedy comes back he will beat Edge for the WWE championship, they gotta make him champ sometime.

Sorry I ment Jugement Day not Backlash.

While it really sucks that both kennedy and undertaker were both injured, as kennedy lost the MITB and Taker will probably lose the title sometime soon. To be honest, I don't mind that edge won the MITB because he is a very deserving superstar who would make a great champion on Smackdon. He has great charisma and would probably do a better job as champion than Batista or Mark Henry. A feud with Edge and Chris Beniot would be kick ass. Even a feud between Edge and Batista would be pretty good. I'm pretty sure Edge can get some good matches out of Batista. I would assume Edge would go to Smackdown as Smackdown lacks main eventers and RAW still seems overbooked.

Good point about Kennedy's injury-prone-ness. I guess this is an example of why guys didn't wear gold until they were pretty firmly established in the good old days..or at least I'm guessing that's how it was.. To answer your question with an opinion.. I think Kennedy gets the belt despite he penchant for injury.. While Kennedy is no where near the star that HHH is, I'm going to use him as the comparisson. HHH has managed to destroy both his quads..but each time he comes back he's still ridiculously over. When Kennedy came back from his back injury, it was huge.. I feel like Kennedy's next return will be even bigger..especially if it happens to be at the Rumble. That much momentum will make Kennedy's eventual title reign not feel forced at all. WWE has shown that it is able to adapt quickly to injury situations, so I think that Kennedy's star power is, and has the potential to be, to great to not take advantage of with a title reign.
