I was hoping Ohio State would win so that the SEC would be left out but Auburn deserves entry in the game and is arguably the best 1-loss team.

Agreed. And I have no problem at all with Auburn there. Unlike Alabama a couple years ago, Auburn won their conference title AND had the better strength of schedule to other comparable teams. Auburn deserves the spot.

Now I just hope FSU rolls them. Which is something I never thought I'd say.

More importantly, Notre Dame is playing in the Pinstripe Bowl on December 28th at Yankee Stadium.

And they'll play some weak team from the AAC, I believe. Rutgers or something. I'd like to see them play Louisville, that'd be a good game, but Louisville will get a better bowl.

The problem I have with it is they haven't deserved about half of them.

I wouldn't care if they were won legitimately, but they are not. Every excuse in the world is used to justify an SEC team in the title game, even if those excuses contradict themselves. Alabama last year? I have no problem with that. Auburn this year? No problem with that.

Alabama two years ago? Florida in 2006/2007? Florida in 2008/2009? All bullshit. LSU in 2007/2008? A crapshoot which, coincidentally, worked out in SEC's favor. Alabama in 2009/2010? There were two undefeated teams at the end of the season (Boise, the other).

They are not legitimate and to hear over and over "7 straight" is utterly absurd. And what frustrates me even more is the "7 straight" is used to push the narrative "the SEC is indisputedly best conference in college football, far superior to all other conferences", which is completely false, as we have seen Big 12 teams perform at an extremely high level in each of the last two season.

I'm a big fan of truth and reality, and SEC bias distorts that truth and reality. That's why I'm hoping FSU rolls Auburn, so we can finally put that propaganda to rest.

Great to see Ohio State and more importantly Urban Meyer lose. I could personally care less who wins the National Championship game.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I dislike OSU right now. I actually found myself hoping they would win last night...and they lost. Fuck Ohio State.

I'm more concerned about Auburn's offense than their defense.

Lol they beat one top 25 team all season (OSU) and lost their only semi tough non conference game to Notre Dame. They had a great season and as a Michigan fan I'm glad they beat OSU but they should not be in the title game. Their strength of schedule was too weak.

Auburn might beat FSU by 28. FSU has benefited from playing a bunch of nobodies all year.

Other bold predictions.

OSU will blow Clemson out in the Orange.
Alabama will blow out Oklahoma in the Sugar.
MSU will win a close game against Stanford in the Rose.
UCF beats Baylor in the Fiesta.

Florida State didn't have the toughest schedule but they also annihilated every team they played. Auburn isn't exactly a flawless team, their defense is horrendous and if two miracles don't happen then they are a 3 loss team and not in any type of conversation for a BCS game. One comparison to show FSU's dominance being able to translate to an SEC team is Clemson. FSU beat Clemson by 37 points on the road and that same Clemson team played 2 SEC schools very tough this year. They beat Georgia in week one (the same Georgia that Auburn needed a miracle play to beat) and then they took South Carolina to the 4th quarter tied before losing by 14. Not a direct comparison but Clemson is certainly a very good team that FSU dominated. Jameis Winston will have a field day against the Auburn defense.

It's pretty clear I knew they were never much of contender. I'd not make a post like that some 12 hours after the game if it wasn't in jest. Let's just look at my post from a few hours before the game...

9 hours away, and I'm already getting nervous.

At least theres a decent undercard with Bedlam and the SEC Championship to get me there. But man, even without having the pressure of having a National Title appearance on the line (and a likely bid to the Rose bowl either way) I'm still a bit nervous.

Not seeing your previous post from 3 pages earlier I don't think it's at all farfetched to think an MSU fan would say they should be in the title game. That's what I want off of, it's not a big deal.
