NCAA Bowl Week 2010

WHAT A PLAY BY THE ARKANSAS SAFETY. That guy had it by a full yard, and he got stripped. Tressel needed to trust his D there, and not give them a short field. Arkansas has all the momentum now.

The holding gave them a bit of a breathing room, though.

And if Arkansas can't get a big chunk they're gonna have to go for it.

EDIT: The Arkansas receivers haven't helped Mallett at all. Arkansas has to try and pin them deep now.

The punter is having the best game of his life, and very well might be what's kept Arkansas alive all game.

Hell, if Arkansas wins, I give the punter player of the Game.

Arkansas D must've heard me after only allowing 94 yards in the 2nd half. Too bad if they can't get a stop they can blame their poor first half. They've played much better here in the 2nd half.

TERRIBLE decision there. I don't care if Pryor's foot got amputated right before, he's been able to move the chains bootlegging to the sidelines all game. Why do a straight handoff now?

Bah, too safe of a playcall. However, the d has been good at limiting the damage to FG's, with no TO's left and a little over a minute, Mallett's going to need some heroics for this.

wow. What an ending.

The Big 11 actually wins a Bowl Game. And of course, the guy that makes the play shouldn't even be playing....

How ironic is it that one of the 5 suspended for next year made the game clinching play?

The Big Ten went 3-5 this year. It's not like they actually won a bowl game. They won a few.

And I would find it utterly hilarious if all 5 players left to the NFL now, even after promising Tressel they wouldn't.

EDIT: It wasn't a bad throw, but a bad decision. Mallett moved a few steps and threw it on the run, but the player did make a heck of a play.

Isn't it odd that Pryor didn't say yes that he was coming back, but 'Aight'? Hmm, schenanigans a brewin...

Blind throw, don't force it.
10 guys coming at him, and it really wasn't as blind as it looked (he saw the receiver, but couldn't see the guy that picked the ball, thanks to the 10 people in his face). Not his fault. He really can't take a sack, and had to get rid of it.

Mallett obviously shouldn't get the blame at all for the game. If the receivers could catch a ball or the Arkansas punt team would've picked the ball up and scored on the blocked punt, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

But throwing the ball away would've been the right decision.
