No. Just.....no. Like, I can't put this into any other word. No.
Sorry it's true. There are intangibles you can't read about or see. If you don't understand that it's too bad.

Since it wasn't clear enough the first time:
No.
I'm not saying you're not allowed to give your two sense but don't think you are holier than thou either just because you saw it on the Network
LOL We have FORGOTTEN more wrestling than you will EVER know....go back to watching PG era WWF where you belong
Not trying to take sides here, but I'm pretty sure that KB was around during the era in question. I think most of us were as a matter of fact.
And you can be a self-righteous prick all you want. It doesn't change the fact that "you weren't there so you don't know what you're talking about" is nonsense. If that's true, there's no point in any history class, science class, film discussion or really anything else for that matter as none of us were there when these things happened.
True I was but I did watch a pay per view or two on tape instead of live. Now given that BEING THERE RIGHT THEN is the only thing that matters to being a wrestling fan, I really don't think I can consider myself much of an expert any more. Like, I can't even saw I saw the Royal Rumble this year as I paused it to go grab food, meaning the moment had just passed me by. That three minute stretch where I was in the kitchen has cost me my entire fandom. What shall I do now?

You're a fucking idiot. I never said that. You're fucking quoting me on shit I didn't say. I said there are certain aspects of an argument that one CANE use by saying "I was there", I "experienced it" let me use my KNOWLEDGE on the subject to EDUCATE you. If I were to debate someone on the American Revolution of course we weren't there you MORON but if someone were to magically arise from the grave (who was around during the Revolution) and say "No, you are wrong. THIS is what happened and WHY it happened. I would SHUT UP and LISTEN. There are certain INTANGIBLES that a history book can't tell is you FUCKING IDIOT. That is why when discussing the Vietnam War LISTEN to vets who WERE THERE. I soak up their knowledge because I WASN'T THERE. So I listen and learn. You are a fucking moron beyond belief.
AaaaaaND you just made my point.
But hey, I'm sure the 60,000+ matches I've seen, 20+ books I've written and career I've built for myself watching wrestling means nothing because I wasn't there that night in Toronto when Hogan lost to the One Man Gang via countout right?
Given that you haven't made one yet, allow me to try one of my own points:
Boy you're kind of dumb.
You're being silly. This "you had to be there to understand" mentality is silly.
I think if you're there it actually skews your view as you'll be bias. WWE Network is all the knowledge I need.
God....you're a MORON. I'm not talking about ONE particular match. I never said it meant nothing either. Again. You are confused. You can be a wrestling historian all you want. I might even accept some of your viewpoints BUT I'm referring to people who say someone was not this or someone was not that when HISTORY proves them wrong. It's all conjecture and opinion but I respect the viewpoint of someone who was there MORE than someone who read it in a book. Sorry that's just the way it is.
I think if you're there it actually skews your view as you'll be bias. WWE Network is all the knowledge I need.
It might or might not. That's what debate is for.
I never said I would not respect your opinions. BUT if you are using WWE network as a reference vs someone who was actually living it live I think would TEND to side with the person who was there over the person who watched on the network. I would not totally dismiss it though. Same as I would tend to give more credence to the viewpoint of someone who went to war lived the war vs someone who read it in a book.
Again, you are quoting something I never wrote. You are totally missing my point.
hat is why when discussing the Vietnam War LISTEN to vets who WERE THERE. I soak up their knowledge because I WASN'T THERE. So I listen and learn. You are a fucking moron beyond belief.
