Monday Night Raw - April 29, 2013 LD

It's called advancing angles without the need for random matches.

Please explain to me how a dance off between Fandango and The Great Khali advanced anything? Or how the tug of war segment was better than Mark Henry beating Tons Of Funk in a handicap match followed by a post match attack from Sheamus would have been?

So.. Reigns and Rollins vs. Hell No at Extreme Rules?

I'd say it'll be Ambrose and Rollins. They've already given Shield a second finisher with just those two.

But Reigns would make more sense considering Ambrose is somewhat "the leader" of the group and Reigns matches the power of Kane.

I feel like he'd never be in a match tonight if it wasn't.

Well, earlier I was giving him the benefit of the doubt, as J.R. confirmed the legitimacy of the injury in his blog and credited Cena for playing through the pain. The way they've overplayed their hand tonight, though, I'm simply convinced it's not legit in the least. I'm glad Ross is kayfabing his blog, though, as it makes it that much easier to disregard his "opinions."

Fandango got to show off and beat up on Khali since Jericho wasn't around while still advancing their feud. And why would I want to see Mark henry beat a monster tag team in a Handicap Match? His gimmick is The World's Strongest Man, and he showed it tonight without having to crush another tag team completely.

It does look to be a work. They might be setting it up for Ryback to take the title due to Cena's injury. I must say this raw pretty much was useless and barely advanced any storylines heading into extreme rules.

Agreed. There's usually a better ratio of good segments to bad even on sub-par episodes, but I can't find much redeeming about tonight's show. It was just there. If I weren't an IWC regular, I have no doubt I'd forget pretty much everything that just happened by next week. I still might.

You know, other than Shield/Team Hell No, Swagger/Ziggler/Del Rio, Cena/Ryback, Orton/Show, Kaitlyn/AJ, and Sheamus/Henry, you're totally right.

You're not seriously defending this nonsense, are you? This shit was weak. Totally phoned in.

Yep exactly. If someone asked me what happened on tonight's raw, I think I could say you missed absolutely nothing and be extremely accurate with that statement.
