Same here. I will end up getting rid of people, because I have players on DL (Utley, Grienke, and Peavy), so I will have 3 people I will likely need to cut eventually.

And Bartolo Colon gave back the 2 runs the Yankees just got. Not a strong showing for the portly righthander.
 
Could've included the Browns in that as well. They lost their team to the Ravens, and most of the winners of the Ravens super Bowl were originally with the Browns.

Speaking of Cleveland, they got the first triple play of the season. Just saw a quick clip of it.

And we finally got a 1-2-3 inning. Good to see Coke shake off the bad opening day.

I wanted to, but since individual players were bought up, I couldn't think of any that actually left (the conventional way).

And 1-2-3 innings aren't allowed. At least for the Tigers pitchers. Although I do like Coke, he did give up the Granderson homer on Opening day.
 
2nd time today the Tigers OFs have saved themselves some runs. You aren't the only one that can do that Granderson.

And finally we get to see the 8-9 combo of Benoit and Valverde. That 3 year deal better pan out.

Nice, so the Twins are inching closer to being 1 win closer to their ultimate destiny, losing to the Yankees in the playoffs. LOL

And Austin Jackson with a nice play to end the 7th. Yankees still very much in this, and the way this game is going, the final won't be 9-7.
 
Bautista up in the bottom of the 9th with a man on 1st and 3rd, 2 outs and down by a single run, here we go.

It's only the first weekend, but fuck if I'm not frustrated already. John Lackey can go eat a bowl of dicks.
 
Not a good start to the 2011 season for my BoSox, we got clean swept by the Rangers this weekend. Offense looked good, especially David Ortiz who hit 2 HRs this weekend and Adrian Gonzalez who racked up some nice RBIs on Friday's game, but our pitching was absolutely horrendous. Rangers have an awesome offense though, so, I'm not going to read too much into this series. No shame in losing to the defending AL champs.
 
Are the Phillies going to leave any strikeouts for the rest of the league? My goodness, their pitchers are filthy. Can't believe Roy Halladay was pulled Friday going into the seventh. He was at 103 pitches, but still, he was doing well. Oh well. I'll take a sweep of the Astros.
 
Hey Justin, it's you vs. me x2 this week. We're facing off in Fantasy, and the Twins are in The Bronx.

And A-Rod (also on my fantasy team) just went deep off Scott Baker. Hell. Yes. 2-0 Bombers.

EDIT: A-Rod (on my fantasy team) got a 2 run dinger in the bottom of the first. Now Posada (ALSO on my fantasy team) got a 2 run shot.

4-0 Bombers now.

Chris Young is outhitting the Phillies. Chris Young, the pitcher of the Mets, is outhitting the Phillies.

Awesome stat.

And these are the only 3 games I wouldn't mind the Yankees winning. That and when they play the White Sox. They can kick their asses all they want.

don't remind me. I would normally prefer the Mets to beat the Phillies, but not when Cole Hamels is pitching, since he's on my Fantasy team.

At least Ike Davis (also on my Fantasy team) is doing well. Hopefully the Phils get back into it, so K-Rod (my fantasy team again) can get the Save.

Still 4-0 Bombers, now going into the Top of the 7th. CC is going damn strong today. He's shutting out Minnesota, and he doesn't even have his best stuff today.

EDIT: When I said CC is dealing, what I meant to say is that he has retired 16 in a row after 2 batters reached in the 2nd. And he's still not got his best stuff.

EDIT 2: when I said 16, I mean 17. Stretch time in the Bronx, Bombers up 4-0 still.
 
hot DAMN what a bad break for the man at the ballgame right there. Foul pop to the front row in Left, and the ball goes RIGHT ONTO HIS TRAY with Onion Rings on it, knocking them onto the field (and Andruw Jones who was trying to get the ball).

lulz, sucks for that guy, those things probably cost like 10 bucks (not to mention he didn't get the foul ball).
 
CC ends the day going 7 shutout innings. Soriano for the 8th, and likely Mo for the 9th.

This is why the Yankees will be winning the division. They have the best bullpen in baseball, and can cut the game to 6 or 7 innings. Couple that with the bats and the starters, and you get yourself a division win.
 
Yes, because Hughes, Burnett, Nova, and Garcia have proven themselves to be worldbeaters...

And go O's in the East. The fightin' Showalters will be a dangerous team.

And Mauer is up with the bases loaded.
