**Merged** Smackdown Supplemental Draft - Discuss ALL PICKS Here!!

I am REALLY intrigued to see what goes down on SD! now.

There is an imbalance b/t faces and heels (9-15)
- I included Big Show (tag champ) but not The Undertaker (inactive)

I think we will see The Corre break up w/ two members turning face: Justin Gabriel for sure and either Heath Slater or Ezekiel Jackson.

I can also see The Usos reuniting w/ Tamina as faces.

Great move drafting Daniel Bryan to the blue brand. Bryan has really gotten lost in the shuffle on Raw over the past several months. SmackDown! is generally the more wrestling oriented show, it's not uncommon for half of the show's air time to consist of wrestling matches.

I was surprised to see Sheamus drafted but he's a great addition to either brand. SmackDown! is now home to both the mid-card titles so I'm curious as to how what they're gonna do. I just hope that don't fall back on the lazy booking choice of having Barrett or Sheamus conveniently drop their title to some Raw superstar.

Alex Riley is over on SD! now so The Miz is gonna be without him. Best thing that could've happened to Riley. Now he'll have a chance to either sink or swim on his own merits.

Tyson Kidd going to SD! could be a good thing for him, a chance to start out fresh and maybe the same for Ted DiBiase.

Sin Cara being on SmackDown! is a great fit in my view as it keeps him separate from Mysterio and he'll possibly have more time on SD! to show his stuff.

Sheamus
I like this move. I used to absolutely hate Sheamus, but he's grown on me, no doubt. I still think he's a not-so-great wrestler, but he has a decent character. On Smackdown, he has the opportunity to grab the bull by the horns. He can be the top heel over there. He and Orton have had some not-so-great matches, but their feuds were never given the attention they deserved. I like this pick.

Daniel Bryan
Another pick I really like. He now has the opportunity to be shine in the mid-card, and possibly main event some day. I expect great matches with guys like Cody Rhodes, Sin Cara, Trent Barreta, and Tyson Kidd. Definitely more of a chance for him to become big-time on Smackdown as opposed to Raw.

William Regal
I understand he will not receive much of an in-ring push, even if he should. However, use this guy, please. He is far too talented to just work house shows and dark matches. He's one of the best talkers on the entire roster, so maybe the new GM if Teddy moves away? Commentator? Anything, just give him something to do. People whine about guys being wasted -- with Regal, it's true.

Ted DiBiase
He's boring, no charisma, can't wrestle, blah, blah, blah. Bullshit. He has a ton of potential, and I'm hoping to see him have great mid-card feuds with guys like Sin Cara and hopefully Trent Barreta.

Alex Riley
I won't get my hopes up, but I'm hoping this turns into something major. I think this kid has huge potential, and getting away from Miz might help. Don't get me wrong, his time with Miz was pretty outstanding. However, he did the sidekick gig long enough, and now I hope he's given a chance to shine. He has an abundance of charisma, decent in the ring, and he's gold on the mic. Could be a big-time heel in the WWE, if given the proper chance to shine.

Sheamus was going nowhere on RAW, and Smackdown is a fresh start for him. He can regain his dominance and have feuds with the likes of Bryan, Sin Cara, and maybe Orton, although I wouldn't like to see that happen.

Hopefully Daniel Bryan gets a lot more TV time on Smackdown. SD seemed to have gotten the better deal in terms of in ring superstars, so he can have more of a chance to shine on Smackdown. Hopefully they do utilize him more.

I really, really, really hope they have big plans for Alex Riley. This guy has loads of potential. He's been nothing but entertaining ever since NXT 2. He has a great look, charisma, decent in ring ability (judging from what I saw on NXT, not RAW, because he barely fought anyone), and could be huge if he's given the chance to prove himself. I think this move has done good for both him and Miz, because Miz will look more credible without Riley at his side. I would be massively disappointed if he were to get released later on in the year.

Really upon thinking about the whole trades even more. I've said all I need to say about all of them except one.

Alex Riley can be huge if the WWE uses this guy! He was great with the miz, and that is just the type of dude he needed to be with. A young superstar who has worked his ass off to get to the top.

That is exactly what Alex can be, he looks more impressive than the Miz. He is better in the ring than when he started, and is now better on the mic than when the Miz started. It's not saying alot, but if the miz can work his ass off up to this point. I hope Alex's time with The Miz helps him in the future.

His in ring tallent isn't the greatist atm, but it can only get better. I remember watching him on season two of Nxt and honestly not liking the dude. He wasn't the greatist in the ring, and his talk was really weak. But the time he spent with the miz, and the mic time he got impressed me more and more every time I got to hear him.

I think he will fit in greatly with the midcard atm in the wwe, he is deffinatly not going to flounder if he keeps this work ethic up!

The Usos, Yoshi Tatsu, Ted Dibiase Jr, Tyson Kidd- WWE hasn't given me any reason to care about these guys lately anyway, so I'm not going to pretend I do now.

Alicia Fox, Tamina, & Natalya- Diva's Title never even makes it on Smackdown anymore. Besides that, I just don't care about them.

The Great Khali- As long as they use him correctly and sparingly, this is a decent move. He should really be nothing more than fodder for young heels to gain credibility off of and has no business being near the top of the card.

William Regal- I've always liked Regal, but I haven't seen him in ages. Someone suggested that he be a manager for a heel Daniel Bryan and I think that could work well. Other than that, I suspect that he'll just be another jobber.

Alex Riley- Well he's over as a heel due to his association with The Miz, so if they want to see if he can stand on his own now is the time. I could definitely see him being an upper mid card level heel if they use him right, so I'm eager to see what happens.

Daniel Bryan- Awesome move. There are just too many people on Raw for him to get any face time. But on Smackdown he could easily be a standout star and he has a lot of new people to work. Very excited for this.

Sheamus- Well he'll easily be the top heel on Smackdown now which could be a great thing if Christian wins the WHC at Extreme Rules. For some reason, I'm excited for the potential of a Christian/Sheamus main event level program. I don't know what they're going to do about both mid card titles being on Smackdown now, but I assume they'll have it cleared up relatively soon.

All in all, I think Smackdown had a pretty decent Supplemental Draft. I wonder how they're going to manage being this thin when it comes to heels, but I'm anxious to see them pull it off.

Daniel Bryan: Thank god, he was getting lost in the shuffle on raw so this is bound to do nothing but good for him. Obviously with SD being by far the more wrestling oriented show this will give him a good chance to really showcase what he can do which should be awesome. Plenty of intriguing potential feuds that I see too I would love to see Bryan face off against Tyson Kidd, as bland as the promos (if they even got any) would be I have a feeling the promos would be great. Also matches and feuds with the likes of Sin Cara, Kane, William Regal (teacher vs student feud?) and even Alex Riley (the feud writes itself with both being formerly mentored by the Miz) would be good I think.

William Regal: I am not sure how much this will effect anything or wether this means he will start getting TV time but it could be good. Hopefully this is used as one final run for Regal putting younger faces over and making them look like a million bucks in the ring.

Dibiase: I dont really care to be perfectly honest but this is the best move career wise for Ted, he was being buried on Raw so maybe he can actually show us something interesting on SD, I wouldn't hold my breath though.

Sheamus: Oh thank god, you had me going for a bit there, for I while you had me thinking you were going to make Mark Henry SD's top heel. This is a good thing for Sheamus though, with an abundance of main event heels on Raw (Miz, Punk, ARD, Truth) Sheamus was going to be lost in the shuffle, now he can shine as the top heel on SD. One thing though, just because now Orton is your top face and Sheamus the top heel does not mean it is necessary for those two to feud again, we have seen that and the results are atrocious.

Anyone else: If I didn't mention them then I likely don't give a fuck. Kahli is shit so its irrelevant. Riley will fail without Miz to carry him. Tyson Kidd is good but he wont be used properly and the Usos are not interesting in the slightest.

Smackdown does well in the Draft and with the inclusion of Sheamus and Tyson Kidd it really helps the heel department.

What is interesting though is that Debiase, Rhodes, and Orton are all in one show again. Does anyone see a programme between the three? Perhaps Orton and Rhodes feuding and Debiase inserting himself in the mix?

On a side note they really need to push Cody Rhodes soon, they guy is awesome in all the factors that make a star. He's got the in ring skills, mic skills, and has really proven he can be flexible in his character and persona. His character change from the narcissistic heel to the Vanilla Sky-esque type character has shown this guy knows how to work with the material. Maybe that feud with Orton or somethign with Debiase would help.

Daniel Bryan: Its gonna be awesome having the best in the ring at the blue brand as Smackdown is a lot better than Raw when it comes to the wrestling side of things. Wonder if he's gonna stay in the US title picture or feud with Wade Barrett for the IC title...or maybe perhaps creep in to the main event?

Sheamus: One of the better heels in the WWE at the moment and I'm hoping he gets a great WHC reign sometime in the future.

Ted DiBiase: Overshadowed by many in RAW and a fresh start at Smackdown will do him a world of good. Hopefully will recover from being a Superstar regular and enter the US/IC title picture not too soon. Wonder if he'll have a program with Cody Rhodes down the road.:)

Alex Riley: Oozes charisma and has a great look about him, really looking forward to seeing how he develops.

Smackdown has been injected with youth and fresh, new talent. It's gonna be a very interesting 2011.

Sheamus: This can be interesting, actually really interesting. Reading some posts, I can say that it makes sense. Sheamus wasn't exactly THE greatest US champ however on SD! he could have a godd run with it and I can actually see him as the top heel. Obviously once he loses the title, he could have a great feud with Christian (if he is the WHC).

Daniel Bryan: Well one of the few midcard faces that can put a greta match. Now, let's just hope that Bryan have a couple of feuds (Alex Riley, Tyson Kidd. Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Cody Rhodes...) and obviously put some awesome matches with Orton, Christian, Cody Rhodes and please, Sin Cara. I think after a while he could be again the mid card champ.

Sin Cara: Similar case as the previous one plus the fact he is obviosuly filling the hole that Rey left. He can have some really, really good matches. Oh, he could go and have a mini feud with Chavito to get the crwod really bumped ya' know?

Ted Dibiase and Tyson Kidd: When I was re-reading my post I actually thought that Dibiase and Kidd could be an "interesting" tag team. I mean why not? Random partners? Yeah, it wouldn't be the first time it happens, plus it isn't like if they did this both guys would be cut from a storylinefeud, fuck they don't have nothing to do.

Alex Riley: Not sure how I feel about this one. I don't have expectations, yet I'm looking forward to see Riley's work without the Miz. Who knows, he could be a solid mid carder.

SD! has gain too much heels yet none of those heels has a profile of monster/top heel. It looks like we are going to have for a couple of months a top heel, then another then another. Anyway, for me SD! is a little bit more interesting as far wrestling and mid carders concern.
