I've no problem with Living Colour playing, its only like Motorhead playing HHH to the ring in the past.

It makes sense, and it isn't unprecedented. These gripes, debates, and bitch-fests happen every year on every board all across the IWC. Like I said in another thread, I'll just use Diddy's performance as an intermission. It's really that simple.

Other people have pointed it out, but P Shiddy playing a mini concert, that is out of context with the rest of the show, is shit. P Shiddy has nothing to do with the WWE. Punk is actually using a song of the band that is singing him to the ring. Completely different circumstance. We're getting the Punk theme regardless, and it won't take away from the rest of the show.

I was just going to post what MTB said about Punk getting a pop and what GSB said about that church-type organ entrance for UT .

But I feel that maybe the WWE will finally get Punk to earn that respect from the fans that he's been yapping on about for months with this Living Colour performance and then some long ass match in which Punk brings it to Taker and nearly beats him, which would then lead into a slow babyface turn for the future .

The difference is Diddy has nothing to do with anything, & is gonna be playing a melody of shit, randomly thrown in the middle of a show. Living Colour is playing one song that happens to be an entrance theme for a wrestler whom has a fairly big match on the card. If Diddy's performance was for a wrestlers entrance & actually served a purpose other than to give everybody 15 mins. to take a shit & restock on snacks, I would have no problem with it whatsoever.

However, I have a problem with the whole situation. CM Punk is a heel. You're asking the fans to boo CM Punk (and as such Living Colour). It's counterproductive to have live music for a heel. Cheering the music means cheering the heel (not good), and booing the wrestler means booing the band.

Triple H got played to the ring by Motorhead when he was a heel. Then he lost the World Title to Batista.

Besides, they knew Punk as going to get a mixed reaction at the least anyway and it's not like Taker was ever going to get boo'ed. There was no risk at all.
