Live Discussion: RAW 9/22/08

The thing is that you are letting your emotions cloud your better judgement. Sure Favre is one of the greatest of all time, but he is in this situation because of himself. Don't buy that media bullshit where he gave a touching speech about rushing decisions. The Packers were always patient with him and let him do it on his terms. He gave up that right and then expected it to be handed back on a silver platter. Then he began the media games to make the team look bad. That's classless. He could have still been in GB, the job and the second chance were his to turn down. He did just that. He's in his own personal hell now.

And I say maybe I am but again we are 3 games into the season. If I remember correctly, San Diego looked pretty damn bad last year in the first 4 games or so, but turned it around and made a run to the AFC Championship, which imo is a pretty good year. We are 3 games in, until tonight the Jets haven't played that bad, and there is plenty of time to turn it around. And with no Tom Brady, I think the Pats are dead in the water, leaving the door open for their division. The Bills look good now, but can they sustain it? And if they get into a late battle with NYJ for the playoffs, or even get to the playoffs they have no experience. That's another thing Favre has tons of.
I'm not trying to say their going to win but it agitates me when someone writes off a good team so early because of a couple of bad games..particularly when they have a decent team.

You're right. Favre has plenty of experience blowing big games and losing when he's favored. Give me a break. Favre was good once, but jsut throwing it up there and hoping for the best is not the way to win anymore.

I know how you feel. Shit, I'm still rootin for the Astros. But the thing is that with New England, Indy, Pit, and Jacksonville down and SD struggling, there is no reason way Favre can't cruise to the lead of the division. He's trying to do too much right now and he has a good team behind him. Right now he sucks. If he does better later, he will do better later. I'm just not too crazy about the way that he has handled everything the past few seasons is all.

I agree. I thought it was crap how he kept waiting so when he came out and said it quickly last year, I figured he'd learned his lesson though I was surprised after such a good season. I actually hate seeing him in a Jets uniform..it's just not natural. Favre is a Packer ya know? Like I said, I'm a Saints fan but I was pretty upset when he left because I wanted to see him win one more championship..he only has 1 and if you look, he has never really had a really good cast around him. Not like the Vikes, Saints, Cowboys, Colts; even the Broncos and Chargers..those teams are built to win a championship, but he didn't have that and still won most of the time..that's why I like him I guess.
Much like someone like Undertaker, Sting, Edge, Austin, Rock..no matter what they do I will always be a fan of them. And I'll be the first to defend any of them..unless of course I'm not online:twocents:

My thoughts are...

Didn't Michaels and Batista hate each other a few months ago?

Cade had so much to gain by winning, and Michaels had little to nothing to lose.

Charlie Hass' skit was humorous in my estimation.

Doesn't Candice Michelle have a PPV match against Beth Phoenix soon? If so, where was she? It's good to have her ugly, talentless ass off of TV, but still.

If Punk had already been suspended for slapping Orton, wouldn't he just shove Adamle out of the way and consider it free game to then beat the crap out of him?

That's about it...

I almost dont even want to get the Perfect DVD cuz itll be fucking depressing :(

I thought it was pretty good. The matches are pretty damn good. 3 Bret Hart vs. Curt Hennig matches is worth the price of admission. Plus it has Hogan vs. Mr. Perfect from the garden. It has all of the sports vignettes which is pure awesomeness. The only thing this DVD was missing was Mr. Perfect taking a hammer to the WWF title and shattering it, that was bad ass.

It is depressing though, because Mr. Perfect is a wrestling God period. Plus this DVD reminds you of how great the Genius was.
