Jeff Hardy is NOTHING in TNA

NSL

Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
I've said for a while that I don't want him is matches will be great, especially since he's returning in the Steel Asylum), but he's too much of a risk. Isn't he possibly going to jail soon?

This is a great short term move for TNA, but for the long run it could be a big issue. Aren't they risking enough with Hall and Waltman?

Right now I am kind off marking out at the fact he may do some crazy shit in the Steel Asylum, other than that i'm not that bothered except for TNA not promoting the hell out of him going to be there.

First of all, I will believe it when I see it. I know it's been reported by prowrestling.net, but that's not always the Gospel truth.

Second of all, I'm not really a big Jeff Hardy fan anyway, so I'm truly not too concerned.

Career death, for both himself and his soon to be jobbed out and then released brother. After leaving the WWE after all they did for him, and to jump ship to the "competition" after they made him a superstar, this will not be viewed lightly by Vince McMahon.

Career death.

This is stupid. Jeff Hardy is a WWE guy through and through. Company loyalty is always what I look for in a wrestler. TNA didnt really give him shit his first time around, the WWE on the other hand put all their faith in the man, time and time again. I WAS a Jeff Hardy mark, until he turned his back on the company that made him a star. I love TNA, but WWE gave him his credibility back.

Fuck you Jeff, you piece of shit.

All i know is when jeff was facing cm punk for the wwe title before he left wwe, I kept saying what happens if jeff goes to TNA. Everyone was saying it can't happen and no one could believe I could think it. Now look at it now turns out i was right :)
Anyway him going there in my mind could garner more viewers then hogan if they promote him correct. Also I love living on the west coast and having att Uverse, I get to watch raw at 6 to 8, and then TNA, comes on at 8 so i get to watch both without having to choose between either or having to dvr one

This makes sense for Jeff only if it is a long-term deal. The main reason being: Jeff likes to do drugs. We all know it. It's not a secret, and Jeff has two strikes against him with WWE. TNA has minimal drug testing (it's been reported where a wrestler tested positive for a drug and was simply told he tested positive, and nothing was done about it), and didn't even punish Angle when he was caught with hGH and whatever else was in his car. WWE even fines a fair amount for ganja use. Jeff can do whatever he wants to in TNA and as long as he's selling merch and putting on good matches nobody will give a damn. RVD, Kendrick, etc are all potheads, so they might as well work less and not get fined to smoke out.

Now, if Jeff signs a deal to do this one show and nothing more, he has f**ked up more than he will ever know because WWE (and Vince) will not appreciate this, to put it mildly.

This is a great sort term move for TNA, but for the long run it could be a big issue. Aren't they risking enough with Hall and Waltman?

Well, the last I heard the charges against him were basically going to be dropped and that he's just waiting for it to happen.

Anyway, while I think it's safe to say that he's at the show at this point ( he pretty said it himself on Twitter), I'm not going to believe that he's signed a contract until he's actually in the TNA ring.
And even if that happens, it could just be short-term.

I don't think Hall and Waltman are as much of a risk as they used to be, because quite frankly, if they were to show up tonight and then disappear right after, I don't think many people would miss them.
If they show up and screw up, they could be written out of the storylines rather quickly because their value to the company isn't high.
TNA is leaving themselves open to that option already with the contracts that apparently have them on.

Anyway, just having Hardy on Impact would be pretty major considering how high he was in the WWE before he left.

It would be pretty cool if he was in the Asylum match.
Since X-Division matches tend to kick off shows, the strategy could be to grab some casual WWE viewers by trotting out Hardy during the first hour.
But I'm going to hold out declaring anything until I see him myself.
He could just be hanging out backstage and all of this speculation could be for nothing.

I think the term that has summed it up best for me on this situation was this:

"Jeff is a star in WWE. He's not a star in TNA"

Maybe he needs those huge pops from thousands of fans to add to his persona I don't know, but the small time atmosphere of TNA really constricts the rock star image of Jeff Hardy. He's just not that big a deal in TNA, he's a mega-star in WWE.

I don't get this move at all. Yes I understand not wanting the travel schedule, don't get me wrong. I guess he's financially stable, doesn't really care that much about his legacy and simply wants to have fun. OK, maybe I do get it a little bit.

Wow...I guess I shot myself in the foot in the other post about Hardy actually showing up on TNA TV. I can't believe it. I'm more shocked at Hardy in TNA than Hogan. Hardy left on good terms in WWE and I expected to see him back there when he wanted to return. It's good for TNA, unless hardy gets picked up outside the show selling crack. Seriously, I'm surprised.

I can't understand why he went. It all boils down to the schedule I suppose. He's a creative guy and I guess TNA allows him to pull in some money as well as work on his other projects, but still....

IMO, this just is not going to happen. Jeff is just visiting the show to back up Shannon Moore, nothing more, nothing less. TNA could not pay enough to sign him long term, plus Jeff is still working on his stupid reality show that made him leave WWE and a higher paycheck in the first place. This is one case where I would not believe it even if I did see it. I would even be willing to take some Vegas style bets on this 1, 5 to 1 odds, Jeff will not be involved in any TNA storylines, much less climb into a TNA ring.

Hey I asked for your opioion not for you to trash him. Don't talk mean about me he is one of my favorite of all time so BACK OFF! Its his life and he can do whatever he wants with his life.Hatehabsforever just because Jeff left doesn't mean that Vince is going to fire Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy is not a jobber he is so over with the fans that it would be stupid of them to fire him. Oh and Monkey Shepard that last line that you wrote was just mean and uncalled for so BACK OFF both of you! You never know maybe they just wrote that to get people to watch TNA over WWE. I mean he has court hearings so he has to be there for those. Or mabe Jeff wanted to try something different for a while you never know he might come back to the WWE one day you know.

It's not official, calm down, the thread will be reopened if Jeff turns up.

update:
They just showed hardy and shannon moore on spike getting to the impact zone

Why should this surprise anybody? He's just like Hogan. He doesn't give a fuck about us as fans, or Vince who stuck his neck out for him. He doesn't care about all the talent he was pushed over so he could achieve his dream. He cares about drugs and doing what is best for Hardy. If he would have left because of the money I'd understand that. Money talks and BS walks. But he joins TNA so he can be a druggie? He shits on everyone that helped make him look gold in WWE so he can be a druggie in TNA? Piece of crap

Jeff Hardy loves to live on the edge! Too bad he just burned his bridge with WWE and when he flops in TNA it's over. It's a shame that someone who has no dedication, just does enough to get by, has no loyalty but to himself and his own addictions, is going to get pushed right to the top ahead of guys who've busted their ass in TNA for years. Hilarious.

And that chairshot to Homicide just proves the lack of concern TNA has for their wrestlers and for the business. They still use chairshots, despite the clear evidence of how dangerous they are. They have no kind of drug testing policy. What a true inspiration TNA is.

Don't know how much you've been keeping tabs on Jeff Hardy, but he left WWE because he wasn't getting pushed enough. He was being used as a teaser. They would give him the title for a month and then take it away. Vince didn't want Jeff holding the title because he already had 3 strikes. Also, Monday's work better for Jeff. He wanted to work Raw instead of Smackdown but WWE wouldn't allow it. Also, TNA is a lot more "professional wrestling" and a let less entertainment.

I have mixed feelings about this one. Jeff went out of the WWE with a helluva bang and if he has truly gone over to TNA, it's my thought that there is more going on behind the scenes than we know about. My guess is that it was something like what was going on with Kurt Angle and Jeff just decided not to go public with it. Also, what with Jeff's marriage coupled with the court bit, I'd be more than willing to bet Jeff needed a lighter schedule and Vince didn't care. More than likely TNA approached him by offering him what he wanted.

Whatever the case, I just hope he doesn't do what he did last time, because I doubt TNA will give him chance number three.

On a side note, I do know of one person whose likely glad he's back: Abyss. If you hear any interviews with him talking about Jeff Hardy as a TNA wrestler, you'll find that Abyss is the most complimentary and probably looking forward to working with him again.

Wow, Jeff has really really blown his career. I'm not down on TNA before you start on men.

WWE made this guy, and he's always going to be remembered for what he did in WWE. Everything from this point onwards will be an anti-climax.

His spot monkey style suited WWE because they don't have guys doing the same thing better. TNA does.

WOW,.. I can't believe Jeff actually committed career suicide by going to TNA. So when he gets bored there, whats he gonna do, because I guarantee Vince will not be signing him back.

I give props to TNA for going out and signing these guys though.

I hate TNA, now more than ever.

What's professional wrestling about TNA? Is it the low budget look that doesn't look professional at all.. because from what I've seen tonight the Impact zone doesn't look impressive at all. It still looks low budget. Or is it the example of how who you know (Hogan), no matter whether you're far past your prime and old, whether you have little wrestling ability to offer, whether you're a draw or not (I could go on and on).. is all that matters in 'professional wresting'? Because TNA is certainly proving that tonight.

Or is it the wrestling aspect of TNA? You know, how the first match ended by no contest. Or the second match was short and ended with a bare ass. Yeah, I thought so.

Jeff Hardy isn't going to help TNA at all. I guarantee it.

You guys act like its bigger than it really is, Jeff wanted a lighter schedule he got one. I understand how he betrayed the wwe but honestly, the only thing I see bad that he did was towards his brother. Matt's probably gonna be in TNA by April, and we may get to see Hardys vs Dudleys vs MCMG in a tlc match.

Monday night war's are heating up.

Well i think its huge,i´m really disapointed with this.I never thought he was going to TNA.We will have to see whats going to happen. But I think that if he goes to TNA he will close the door to WWE forever.TNA would win a great wrestler and would do a really big IMPACT.

:worship:

My thoughts exactly! Hardy can go rot somewhere at this point. I hope they give him a similar push this time around as well (no title reign).

Seconded.... heard the censors got a little bleep happy too during the first match which cut out Taz and Tenay for the most part.....rather amateurish personally
