And I've seen them all
So because hes disliked by the fans and a marketing puppet I need to repect him?
No. You should respect him cause he works his ass off over 200 days a year, how come he gets "you can't wrestle" chants when freaking Hornswoggle doesn't when they let him wrestle? Seriously.
Thats the thing, the casual fan, the one that REALLY made Vince money, no longer watches WWE or watches it when something completely out of WWE's character like the CM Punk promo happens. The others who stick around end up reading spoilers so they know whether or not certain shows are going to be worth their time or watch PPVs online so they dont waste their money.
No really, why would a fan who never watches WWE anymore unless something like the Punk angle happens even bother go one to Youtube videos and wrestling forums just to say that the current PG era sucks? It's still wrestling, so what if they want more kids watching it? There's nothing wrong with it being PG, it might not be as good as TV-14, but atleast it's still wrestling, and it's still pretty good wrestling.
Nobodys blaming Cena for PG, but hes the most PG character on the show, which is why so many people hate him. This new era of WWE fans are so bitchy, they need everything to be correct and fair, the old fans didnt give a damn who was making appearances for WWF. If a guy like Cena came around during the Attitude Era he simply wouldnt last, we know Bret Hart didnt and he was right up his alley with all the goody two shoes stuff.
Actually, alot of people blame Cena for WWE being PG, I always see ******ed comments like "Fuck Cena, he's the reason WWE went PG!", seriously, I just can't stand seeing those comments.
I think that when the IWC gets over Punk they'll be able to watch that match with retrospect and realize it wasnt as good as they think it was. I just saw Eddie Guerrero vs Chris Benoit for the US title, now that was a 5 star match. Great storytelling and a nice pace. Cena/Punk wasnt all that amazing. See, I start off with a general respect for every wrestler, but what they do in and outside the ring affects that. After I learned about all the backstage politics I lost respect for Cena as a man. After watching Cena go from a rapper to a cartoon come to life, I lost respect for the cartoon. If Cena has a problem with that I'm pretty sure he could go to creative and ask them to change his character.
I never read anything about Cena being a backstage politic, I think you're taking this from the classic Punk promo, he might be a politic, but he's still a pretty good hard worker, even if he and Punk's match wasn't a 5 star match, it was still very good and I don't think someone who "can't wrestle" can have a pretty good match, like I said you don't like Cena's character fine, but you could atleast respect him for all the hard work and dedication he puts into this business.
