Infraction Points

D-Man

Gone but never forgotten.
Screw it... we never use the G-Mod Board Room anymore so I figured I'd post in here to re surge it :D

Anyway, maybe I missed it, but when did the Infraction Point System change? I no longer see an option for a one or two week ban.

I only ask because one of the new users is repetitively posting spoilers in our Smackdown section. Even when we infract him, he keeps re-posting the spoilers again. Without a one or two week ban, we have only two options: Infract him four times before he's banned for a week, thus allowing the spoilers to continue to be posted, or permaban him on the spot which I don't feel is fair.

Guys, any thoughts on this?

Guys for the next day or so you have my permission to ban people for a week for spoilers. I gave everyone a warning so that's their only out. If they post spoilers outside the cage, ban them for a week.

Actually, they don't have the ability.

You all are free to PM Klunker or myself though, and we'll ban them for a week. Klunker, you'll have to see how many Infraction points the poster has, and then give a custom Infraction that will total up to three.

I was meaning do a one week ban instead of a spoiler infraction.

There hasn't been a one week ban option for a while. Because if someone had 1 point already, giving them three points would be a two week ban, because they'd have a total of four points. That's why you and I would have to give a custom Infraction.

I see.

Yeah just let me know about it and I'll give them a week ban. Ticks me off.

This was posted last night in the Board Room Discussion thread. Hope it explains things.

LOL no problem, Sly. Sorry I missed all of that.

Can I ask why you took that option away?

Missed that. Ok.

So in the future, for multi-point infractions, just PM you guys.

Yes. I've thought about giving G-Mods custom Infraction power, I'm just not sure the power wouldn't be abused. I've thought about it for a long while. As for right now, it's rarely an issue or a bother, so we'll just try things this way.
