IMPACT Wrestling LD for 07.14.11

That was one of the best women's wrestling matches I've seen in a while. Good stuff. I have a new found respect for Miss Rayne.

Taz ruining his own joke was hilarious.

You mean the character he's been playing since 1999? Yeah, why ever try to reinvent a character? What sense does that make? It's not as though characters, even ones as popular and successful as Sting's ever get old, right?

Enough with this crap, Sting, just go to the rafters and silently stalk your opponents like you've never done before!

Hell, I'd rather have that than have Doink the Clown main eventing.

It makes sense with the gimmick/character, I just don't think it's a good one though. The "queen bee" thing is way to high school for me, that's why I watch Degrassi.

Wow, we are breaking into the gift in mid-match? Women's wrestling is bad these days, dude.

So you'd rather she what, come out as "Madison Rayne"... the generic female competitor? Gimmicks are what make wrestlers, dude.

I don't really get the point of Madison being scared stiff of a spider that's being held in a glass case.

It could come out and she's afraid of spiders like so many fucking women? Granted, WWF back in the day did a wrestlemania angle predicated on a 500 pound man being afraid of snakes so I don't see why a story couldn't include someone fearing spiders and Tara using it to her advantage.

Chicks are afraid of tiny bugs. Of course they are afraid of a tarantula.

I imagine the widows peak would not feel great on your neck either. Always been a big fan of that finisher.

Someone explain to me why Mr. Anderson joined Immortal?

Is it just me or has Sting/Kurt Angle/AJ Styles been fighting some big nWo-like faction for the past 4 years?

Everytime a big star comes, they turn heel and join a faction?

Booker T - Main Event Mafia

Hardy - Immortal

etc.

And isn't it always one big face against a huge faction?

I mean I literally predicted how last week's main event segment would go as soon as Anderson came down. It's like they have the Hogan turning on Savage segment from 93 (I believe, don't quote me on that) segment replayed in every TNA writing session.

Not nitpicking, just saying am I the only one who finds it strange they've been rehashing the storyline for the past 4 or 5 years?

I disagree, it doesn't look like it would really damage anything in kayfabe. Maybe bruise the knees a little bit.

She puts the top of her head on the back of her opponent's. That would be ridiculously painful in real life.

As far as I'm concerned it's the best finisher in women's wrestling, though Beth's Chickenwing Facebuster is a close second.
