Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Anybody seen DOFP yet?

Probably the best X-Movie yet. So many new possibilities now that they've fixed the mistakes of the past movies. Maybe they can make Cyclops actually cool now, hopefully Quicksilver is back too, I was honestly shocked at how good he was. He probably had my favorite scene in the movie.

Just saw it today. I loved it.

I thought Quicksilver was great too. I assume the scene you're talking about is when he pops on his headphones and he listens to music while saving the the X-Men and Magneto in hilarious fashion. That was not only my favorite part of the movie, but one of my favorite scenes in any superhero movie. It was so weird, funny, clever, and flat out ridiculous that I couldn't help but love it.

I'm glad the X-Men are back and hopefully they make good use of them with Apocalypse incoming. I wonder if the dude that made people sick is going to come back as Pestilence. I wonder if they'll use the other original horsemen or if they'll try to get some sexy names. Gambit's supposed to be in the next movie, and he has served as War in the comics...

Easily the best X-Men movie in my book. The action sequences were pretty great (I especially enjoyed their use of Blink), it did a good job balancing fan-service with building its own story, and the acting was solid (especially from McAvoy, Fassbender, and Dinklage).

I hear Channing Tatum has been confirmed as Gambit and will appear in Apocalypse and then follow up with a solo movie. So I assume he'll have a huge part. I wonder if the Egyptian setting can be used to see a younger version of Storm with a new actress in Mohawk form....

I'm honestly too excited at what's possibly to come as everything is on the table now that they've fixed things from X3. My only concern is will we see Blink and Bishop again, they barely had any lines yet they were so effectively used it was brilliant.

X-Men was fantastic. Certainly one of the best CBM to date. The sequel should be awesome. Simon Kinberg, the writer, hinted at the plot for the next movie. I would love for Scott and Jean to be the main focus of Apocalypse and Sinister in the next movie.

So the local wrestling company I went to see in March is having a show a little over 2 hours away in New York, thinking I might make the long haul and go to it. I really enjoyed myself at the last one and plenty of big names are being advertised for it. Plus the main event is The Hardy Boyz vs The Young Bucks which sounds awesome.

Kevin Steen vs Jerry Lawler has also been announced. Considering admission will probably be around 10-15 like last time, the price might just be worth the drive.

I finally saw The Way Way Back, not bad, pretty solid movie actually. Was suprised at how incredibly unlikable Steve Carell was in this movie, I'm so use to him playing loveable loser type characters that it was surprising how well he was able to play such a massive dickhole. Sam Rockwell is just plain awesome & was my favorite part of the movie, he's like John Goodman, in that any movie he's in I want to see, simply for his performance, even if the rest of the movie looks like it's gonna be a big steamy pile of shit.

Also saw X-Men: DOFP, I liked but I'm going to have to see it again to fully enjoy it, because my mom was asking questions (which was to be expected) & the stupid fat bitch that decided she need to sit right behind me despite there being about 150 other empty seats in the damn theater, wouldn't stop giggling through the whole fucking movie.

Love The Way Way Back, I've never watched The Office but Carell did a hell of a job in the role. As you already said Rockwell killed it and stole the show obviously, I need to watch more of his movies, I only know that and Seven Psychopaths, and Iron Man 2 I guess.

I thought it was interesting that Steve Carell played a despicable piece of shit while Sam Rockwell played a guy that you loved. Both of those characters are a bit out of their wheelhouses. I thought The Way Way Back was one of the better comedies last year, definitely something I'd consider buying for my DVD collection.

You took your mom to see an X-Men movie? I'm all for going to the movies with parents, but that's just a bad call, unless your mom is a giant X-Men fan, in which case that's fucking bad ass.

Choke is a mediocre movie that he's very good in. I'd also highly recommend Moon.

I have it on DVD, though I left the DVD in WI, so my sister & her husband could borrow it, they got till Oct. to watch it, then I'm taking it back.

She liked the other Marvel movies she's seen, which all featured Avengers characters, & there wasn't really anything else worth seeing. I sure as fuck wasn't gonna see "The Other Women". If they had Chef (Jon Favereu's new movie) playing that would've been perfect, or seeing Cap 2 for the third time probably would've been good too. She only asked like 3 or 4 questions though, the dumb giggly bitch behind me was by far more annoying.

Moon is fucking awesome, I loved Moon

Have you ever been to the Boston Burger Company? I saw it on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives and it looked quite delightful. I may need to go there when I venture up in a month.

I have. Damn good burgers, though it hardly qualifies as a diner, drive in, or a dive. It's actually pretty upscale for a burger place, but the food is very good.

I forget who I was talking to, but I recently told somebody about cinaburgers and how they are surprisingly great. They didn't believe me, but promised that they would give it a try. When I remember who I had this conversation with I'll follow up with them and see if they've had one yet.

Yeah it didn't seem to fit the premise of the show, but I didn't care. I'm a sucker for a good burger.

And yes spread the word. One of my coworkers told me that I'm rotting away in the wrong business. He said I need to find a location, get a loan, and open up "The Pennsburger". Cause ya know I live in Pennsburg and its punny. It was an awesome compliment.

Hey man, it seems like burger joints are the hot restaurant concept right now. If you could find someone that has the business savvy to run a restaurant that would want to team up with you, I'd say go for it.

You really should be in the food business with how often you post amazing sounding/looking food on facebook.

How good were those cinnamon sugar chips you posted recently?

They were freaking amazing, definitely the best out of the slew of batches we tried.

Never try to make zesty lemon chips. They are NOT good.

I had an amazing burger when I was in WI this past week at a place called Monks. It was the Wild West Burger, it had a generous portion of pork carnitas on top of a thick burger patty with two strips of jalapeno bacon, cheddar cheese, & chipotle BBQ. You could also get Onion straws on it but me & onion anything just don't mix well.

There's a BBQ joint about 15 minutes from my house that has an amazing burger. It's got bacon, cheese, BBQ sauce, pulled pork and something onion on it. I wanna say onion straws but I could be wrong. Anyway it's a damn good burger but I get it without the onions. You can also get a fried egg on it for like a dollar more.

That sounds delicious. I'm gonna have to try whipping together something like that.

As for potato chips, you can use a mandolin or hand cut them. I used russet potatoes but any will do. Stick them in the deep fryer until crisp and then season with whatever you'd like. If you don't have a deep fryer you can fry them in a pan with hot cooking oil.

We made the cinnamon sugar, original (use sea salt), BBQ (used a mix of spices), Cajun, old bay, zesty lemon, and chocolate. The last two didnt turn out so good but I'm confident with a little tweaking a chocolate chip will be delicious.

This might just be something I have to try soon.

I guess I never really caught the crazy burger topping train. Some of them are alright, but there still is nothing like a great traditional burger.

Made some BBQ chicken last weekend. Only had boneless\skinless breasts, but if you brine them for a bit before you grill, they dont dry out like normal. Damn juicy & it hit the spot. Fresh corn on the cob & hobo potatoes rounded it all out nicely.
