Apparently there's supposed to be some sort of open-to-the-public Satanic mass taking place at Harvard tomorrow. I'm a little tempted to go check out what that's like, but then I remember that I've rarely been able to work up even the faintest bit of interest during any sort of religious ceremony in my entire life, so why should Satanism be any different?

The LeVay style Satanism is an interesting sort of counter-philosophy, but I don't know of any masses they think to be necessary, seeing as their is no deity to worship. I'm not too up on other kinds of Satanism, but at the least it could be an interesting experience.

Actually the reason I heard about it is because one of my Facebook friends posted a link to an open letter urging Harvard to not allow it to happen. There was a comment thread about 50 comments deep of friends telling him that it's in the satanists constitutional right to hold a service, but according to him it's not within their rights because it's basically making a mockery of Catholicism.

Haha, you didn't offend, it was just very blunt. Believe me, I know how people pissing you off can totally ruin your filter. I frequently go back into the nurses station at work and loudly profess my desire to punch a mentally ill person in the throat.

Yeah, basically my entire office is being rearranged (people switching offices, cubicles, etc.) and I'm the only guy under 30 that works here so I have been moving and packing for middle aged women for the past week. It's kind of awful.

It's a mental health facility, so most patients already think someone\something is trying to hurt them. At least he is being up front about it instead of writing his intentions on the ceiling of their room in glow paint or goat blood.

Yeah, the nurse's station is soundproof... mostly. I do, however, have a notoriously loud voice, and I have had people tell me that they've been able to hear me from a little outside the door of the nurse's station, but not when I was saying anything bad. I need to be a little more conscious of when I'm being loud.

I do not command nearly that type of power at my job. My job is basically to keep patients safe from others and themselves. I also occasionally get them apple juice.
