Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Any particular toppings?

Make it a classic. Always the classic.

I fucking miss the food up there. So many great things that just dont taste the same here. Texas has its moments, but for a great pizza you really cant expect too much. A few places hold their own with certain things, but there is nothing like a real deep dish.

You a Malnati's guy or a Gino's? Although there are always a few nice hidden gems for deep dish & Italian beef sandwiches. Where are your favorite stops?

Except, you know... actual pizza.

Hey its not my fault your small NJ arms cant hold a real pizza.

I do like a good traditional slice, problem is so few places make pizza right. Most places just pile on toppings to add 'value' instead of doing a few things well. Pizza is supposed to be simple. Fresh ingredients with a good crust, cheese & sauce ratio. Seems easy but so many places just fuck it up with frozen toppings or a greasy sponge crust. That is why the smaller places are usually better every time.

If you're using a noticeable amount of body strength to hold a pizza, I think there's something wrong with either you or the pizza, possibly both.

Hey man, you don't have to tell me how hard it is to find a good slice outside the pizza belt. Up in Boston I found two places during college near my campus/house that had acceptable pizza, and it wasn't until my 4th year here that I found a pizza place that I considered to have truly great pizza.

Funny enough, the first place I moved after graduating has a place with great pizza right down the street. Unfortunately, they're only open until 10 PM, so if you want late night pizza you have to go right back to the mediocre-at-best stuff.

10pm? What the hell....

So I am hooked on that tv show Reaper. The one where The Devil has the kid steal back escaped souls. Somehow I never heard of it before. It is funny enough to have me hooked into having watched the entire 1st season straight through. Sucks watching shows that I know end early though. That type of thing always leaves me frustrated. Have you seen it?

Im taking a break & gonna watch the last 3 episodes of Six Feet Under finally. I have been putting it off for weeks knowing I am going to be depressed I have no more to watch after that. Damn good show.

Bad pizza is like bad pussy. It isn't really that bad.

This is mostly true, but I have had some pizza that was so bad that I couldn't eat it, and pizza is my favorite food. The pizza place in my college's student center made awful pizza, and despite the fact that we got it for free a bunch of times at my house (I have a friend who would go to random club meetings and steel their leftover pizza), I almost never ate it. It was that bad.

I'm a Lou's guy. As I get older and travel out of the suburbs more I try to find other places to go. Still need to try Al's Beef, but Portillo's makes my mouth water all day every day.

Great place to go for a burger is Kuma's. Haven't tried their second spot in Lincoln Park yet. Still want to try some of the BBQ joints in the city when I'm on a BBQ kick.

So it has been over 48 hours since my drug test and I've yet to hear anything, which I'm taking as a good sign. I also haven't been alerted in any other way about my references not checking out (which I am a little worried about considering two of the past jobs I've listed may not have anyone there that remembers me), so I'm allowing myself to get excited for this job. I'm not so confident that I'm ready to go out and buy some new clothes for work (I'm going to wait until the weekend for that), but I am letting my imagination run wild with what type of workplace persona I'm going to adopt.

I'm thinking the stern but fair hard ass with a heart of gold.

Al's was good from what I remember, only ate there twice. Now Portillo's? That is bad-ass. When I am in town that is a must.

I hope you get the job man. It should be a different experience & am sure you will do just fine.

I just quit mine recently & even though it was the right thing to do- I am getting bored. Money situation is covered for the next few months solid, so that is alright. Just hate not having something to do & my list of errands\repairs is becoming shorter by the day.

I agree with you on smaller places being better. In my hometown there is a small family run pizza place and it's some of the best pizza I've ever had. Most of the pizza places around here load up the pizza with so much sauce that you can taste nothing else and I never understood why anybody would like that.

So back in July I was up to 305. I was counting calories and what not, which I lost roughly 20 pounds from. Then from like late August until early November I fluctuated between 287-294 since I wasn't counting anything. Then I started working out, eating proper portions, and cutting pop and alcohol down to one or two days a week. Since November I'm down to 267.

Felt the need to let someone know that that may or may not give two shits.

I'm happy for you buddy. I've been trying to lose some weight too just to make things easier on my shins, but have not made much progress, probably because I'm not really counting calories.

Still, I'm sure you're feeling good these days, and I hope you can keep it up!

Thoughts on wrestling:

I'll believe CM Punk is actually gone from the WWE the minute WrestleMania ends and he hasn't appeared, no sooner than that.

TNA replaced AJ Styles with MVP. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
