Nah, to be a nurse you need legitimate education. I don't think I'm ever supposed to touch the patients in a medical sense, and possibly not in any sense at all apart from everyday contact like handshakes, shoulder patting, etc. I think the job is kind of a halfway point between administration and actual care-giving.

So my interview wasn't so much of an interview as a test to see if I would be a decent employee. After filling out one of those silly online evaluations that tested your common sense more than your aptitude for the job, I had a brief discussion with the nursing director about what to expect from the job, and after that I was sent to the HR rep who gave me an envelope containing some sort of acceptance letter I need to sign and a drug test.

So, pending the results of the drug test (which if my home drug test is any indication, I should be all good with), I will be a mental health technician starting n February 3rd!

Nah, it's code for "dogsbody". In a medical setting, a technician is the person who does the stuff that needs to be done but isn't worth spending the time of better trained staff on. It's the difference between getting a patient's drugs ready and giving them their medicines.

Congratulations man, I hope you enjoy your new job :)

Congrats bro.

Although you should have decided to be a wrestling technician instead. That way you could have passed your THC exams & tagged with RVD at Wrestlemania.

After watching Community, I have decided that a game of Hot Lava backstage would make for a hilarious running segment for an episode of RAW. Too bad Santino is out, because he would probably win the whole thing.

I don't think I'm doing anything medication-wise either. Most of the job sounds like it's babysitting, but babysitting extremely volatile people. You have to do a check for every new patient you get for contraband and dangerous items, check on all your patients every 15 minutes, report on any new appearance, behavior, or anything interesting. In the event of a medical emergency I can administer CPR or first-aid, but otherwise my job is to get an actual nurse or doctor and call 911 if it's something they can't take of at this facility.

Basically this job requires me to be the eyes and ears of the facility, and only to be the arms of the facility in special situations.

I thought it was pretty ballsy of Community to do a paintball episode so early in the season, but it turned out to be a really sweet way to write off Troy for the time being.

So I went to go see Ride Along last night and was surprised at how much I liked it. I thought it'd be alright but Kevin Hart had me laughing throughout the whole thing and Ice Cube finally did something worth watching.

Did you get a chance to see August: Osage County, JGlass? Took a chance on it the other day, and I loved it. Streep is phenomenal, and I'm still pulling for Blanchett to win the Oscar, but I can't put her over everyone else as a clear cut favorite now.

Thinking about squeezing AOC into my top ten for 2013, but I still need to see Her, 12 Years A Slave, Philomena, Dallas Buyers Club, and Nebraska. Sifting through all the Oscar stuff this year feels like a real chore (with the exception of The Wolf Of Wall Street).

Ultimate internet embargo beginning at midnight. Off here, and off of even FB until probably teusday.

The Rumble is the most spoiler-heavy show every year, and I usually stay off the forum and main site all day during the day-of anyhow. Special precautions must be taken this time, obviously.

I was planning on seeing it tonight, but I might just see it during the week instead. I definitely want to see it before it's out of theaters, though.

I will be sure to not share any information about the Rumble anywhere but here.

Fuck man, I was loving everything until I realized Bryan really wasn't going to be in the rumble.

Batista shouldn't be anywhere near the main event as a face.

That Rumble was like a big, beautiful balloon, but as it got closer and closer to 30, you started to realize that the balloon might pop. And then as the countdown for 30 began you held your breath, hoping that Daniel Bryan would come out instead of Rey, but then Rey's music hit, and the balloon burst.

Fuck this company. Cornette face. Cornette face everywhere.

This PPV I watched with a friend who had never watched wrestling before, he knew it's scripted but knew nothing of any storylines and just let himself be a casual viewer and get into the action, for the first time in forever I did the same. After seeing Bryan for the first time ever in his match against Bray he was already a huge fan, we enjoyed the insane and awesome ride that was the PPV but our energy died once Batista won, even he came to the conclusion he had already liked a majority of who he saw more than him. Especially Bryan.

Even with all the suckishness that was the end I'll be watching every PPV with him from now on, most fun I've had watching wrestling in forever, except the end....

You'd think after 6 months of PPV's ending with fans going home unhappy & WWE handing out refunds they figure this shit out by now, the fans are literally screaming at you what teh fucking want, FUCKING GIVE IT TO US DAMMIT!!!

I had a similar situation tonight. My friend and I went 50/50 on Rumble tonight and he's only seen maybe 1 or 2 episodes of Raw in the last year, so he knows a few names but has no idea what's going on with storylines or anything like that. He LOVED Bryan vs Bray to pieces and was so disappointed when Bryan didn't win. He asked me who I wanted to win the Rumble, I said Bryan and didn't even tell him why but after seeing the other matches on the card he was hoping for Bryan or Undertaker (I didn't crush him by telling him Taker wasn't gonna happen) to be #30 and win.

Even he was pissed over Daniel Bryan not being #30 so at this point he was rooting for Roman Reigns, who he's become a huge fan of (despite him hating The Shield the first time he saw them) and when Batista won, his reaction was "why the hell would they ignore the fans and not have Daniel Bryan win? The fans were chanting for him all night." his million questions got annoying but if I order Wrestlemania, i'm watching with him cause it's fun seeing reactions from a causal fan.

At some point the, "Well maybe they're just building to an even bigger payoff," explanation starts getting old. The only way I could see this working is if Daniel Bryan gets to go over huge at WrestleMania, but it seems like his chances of doing that by winning the title are slim to none.

The only way he could be put over big enough to warrant this build is doing the unthinkable: ending The Streak.
