Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Fucking Barrett. So much charisma. Such size and presence. Such a disappointment.

I dread seeing guys like him, Kofi, and Miz every week. Just sucks the air out of a product that could be lean and mean if they cut some fat.

Fuck it, the best work he ever did was as a commentator. Tell King or JBL to jog on and put him in their spot.

I hope it happens just because it mke it even more blatantly obvious how much WWE has failed with him.

"here is this charismatic, atheltic, 6'5 guy just hanging out at the announce table"

When CM Punk retires, he has to come back to the table. Such glorious days. I used to look forward to watching raw specifically on account of him commentating :lmao:

Why did they stick Barrett on commentary in FCW anyway? I could never figure that out. Were they trying to get him to improve his mic skills?

I started watching this HBO show called In Treatment. Any fans? It's amazing what they did: five episodes a week (one for each day), and it takes you through a therapy session with four different patients Monday-Thursday and then the psychologist sees another psychologist on Friday. And this show ran for three years. That's a lot of freaking television.

Love In Treatment. Own all three seasons on DVD. Byrne is a powerhouse.

Of course some patients are better than others. Frances in season three can fuck right off.

Only other WZer I remember caring about the show was xfear. In spite of my adoration for the show, I can totally understand why nobody gives a fuck.

I had high hopes that you would be a fan.

I'm just on week 2 of Season 1, but I'm hooked on some patients more than others. Laura doesn't interest me. The actress that plays her makes me very aware I'm watching a show, and it seems like they threw her into the show just to bring some soapy drama to the program. I really like Alex, though, and the couples therapy is pretty fascinating too. I think I like Sophie the best so far, though. The actress gives a pretty convincing performance and I'm interested to see how she progresses.

Sophie would be my favourite of the season one patients. By far. As a rule, I love seeing Paul dealing with children or teenagers.

Yeah, the Laura stuff feels pretty rote. I always got the feeling they led with her as a way of hooking an audience with some highly accessible "soapy drama." Still, I generally get a half chub when she talks about anything sexual, so I give her a pass.

There are times when the show can get a tad too sappy/sentimental for my blood. But I expect that comes with the territory, feelings flying everywhere and all that.

I reckon we ought to push the show on LSN eventually. He's been quite receptive to all the other good shit I've forced on him, and it could be interesting to see how true-to-life he finds it.

Yeah, I had a feeling that his work with kids is going to be the most fascinating. Just watching Byrne's mannerisms when talking to Sophie has me hooked.

Yeah, the actress playing Laura is very attractive in a way I don't fully understand. Maybe it's because she keeps talking about sex.

I get what you mean about the sappy/sentimental thing for me. Every time they start playing the "This is a significant moment" music, I roll my eyes a little bit. I think I built the show up as more of a voyeuristic look at therapy than a television drama when, in reality, it's probably somewhere between the two of those.

It was actually recommended to me by a career counselor/psychologist (I can't tell which role he's playing for me yet) after I told him I'm interested in maybe becoming a therapist of some sort. He said it's a pretty good window.

I'm glad you and LSN hit it off at long last. Sometimes it's awkward when you try to blend friend groups, but when it works, it is truly a blessing.

I'm watching Crash right now for the first time, really making being a minority seem very unfortunate.

That movie sucks. No idea how it won the Oscar. You should watch the David Cronenberg Crash with James Spader instead.

Crash is one of the few movies that I hate Sandra Bullock's performance is. She may be one of my favorite actresses otherwise.

I think it's easy to win an Oscar in a movie where tons of racist things happen yet there's a unclear and ambiguous moral at the end.

That being said I'll reserve judgement till the end, I definitely see why someone would hate this though.

Speaking of Bullock I've never found her more attractive in The Blind Side, that southern housewife look just works for her.

I JUST REALIZED I'M MISSING COMMUNITY!

Oh well, I'll just watch it tomorrow. I really did want to support the show by watching live, though.

She's pretty banging in Miss Congeniality too. And A Time to Kill.

Yeah you're right J this move blows, is it trying to get me to feel sorry for these some what accidental racists?

I honestly have no idea how this movie won the Best Picture Oscar. The whole thing is basically, "Look at people be racist and have race related problems and then they don't anymore."

The end.

Yup, I don't like things like that being thrown in my face for two hours at all.

A majority of my friends are of different race and religion, never sulked around about it.

It always pisses me off when a movie tries to be artsy, extravagant and fresh when it's just the same message that has been relayed through countless other works on a semi-related note. It's the main reason why I dislike Moulin Rouge as much as I do.

I don't even think Crash tries to be that artsy if I remember correctly. It just tries to be poignant, and it's not. It's obnoxious.

Just beat Lego Marvel, fun game, wasn't a huge fan of the Galactus fight but it was short so whatever. Look forward to replaying the levels to get more of the cool stuff at a later date.

Holy shit, that after credits scene.

I just figured out why Daniel Bryan joined the Wyatt family on Raw. I'm a genius.

The thing where you play as Iron Man and War Machine and throw the house party at Stark Tower?

I gotta admit, the gameplay isn't all that exciting once you beat the game, but there is a ton of shit to unlock including some bonus levels that are pretty fun.

One of my friends is streaming the game in two-hour installments and it's pretty hilarious. Looks like a lot of fun. I considered getting it since it's heavily discounted on Amazon but then I remembered my neighbors have pretty much every Lego game and I'm watching the guy play it anyway. Might borrow Lego DC 2 though.
