Exactly. The only player I really wanted in my top five picks that I didn't get was Jimmy Graham so I'm very happy.
For my first draft with my high school pals I had a bit of a plan that I executed pretty well, but for this draft I just went in pretty much blind. The only strategy I used was use one pick to get a player that would arguably be good at this point in the draft, and the other pick to get a guy before any of you "middle of the order" types get your grubby hands on them (did that with Rodgers, Seattle DEF, and I believe Vernon Davis).
I'm pretty sure the commissioner has the power to change that
I could, but that's not very fair now is it?
I'm 5th, but there are 4 of us that are rated at a B. Apparently my schedule projects to be incredibly difficult though. If DMC ends up not having a shitty season, he could be the MVP of my team.
I picked him in a mock draft in round 10 or something. Yes, he has the potential to have a shit season, but he's still pretty freaking good.
my WR strategy didn't go well at all, my plan was to get Welker with the 4th/5th rnd. pick, but yahoo had rated so fucking low I thought he was taken so I reached a bit & grabbed Eddie Lacy, I was also had hopes of grabbing one of GB's WR, namely Cobb or Jones, but those were dashed quickly.
I saw that Lacy pick and thought it was bizarre, but I chalked it up to homerism. I don't know why Welker is rated so low in Yahoo, and I believe he's ranked lower than both Thomas and Decker despite the fact that he'll probably be the first string WR in Denver.
I miss the draft and ended up with Brees, Alfred Morris (my pick for leading rusher, btw), AND Michael Vick as a backup? Yes please.
Yeah, I thought it was strange when your auto-draft picked Morris with your first round pick, but if that's your thought process then you probably made the right call.
I can't imagine him beating out AP. That's an offense that pretty much revolves around the guy, and even though every defense in the league knows it, they still can't stop him. Then again, the Vikings have the 31st most difficult schedule for RBs, but the Redskins have the 27th.
