Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

When Tom Brady is the quarterback, you ALWAYS have to worry about the pass, regardless of his receivers. Amendola might not garner the attention that Wes Welker did, but he's still going to be drawing coverage away from the RB.

And the Pats are going to be giving the ball to the RBs more often. I don't care if there's a decline in YPC, all I need is total yards and TDs.
Oh of course Brady makes you worry about the pass, but losing all their middle of the field threats and Tight Ends who stretched the defense out wide will create VASTLY smaller running lanes for Ridley/others.

And if you really think Bill Belichick will take the ball out of his best player/Meal Tickets hands you're crazy. He's too smart for that. Brady's been in the top of the Passes Attempted leaderboard all but 3 years since he's been a starter. As long as he plays 16 games he'll do the same. Considering Ridley's caught 9 passes in his career, he's clearly not a guy who is gonna be catching a lot of balls either.

It's a lot easier to run when the opposing team spreads the defense out wide thanks to their 2 dominant Tight Ends.

I drafted Jamaal Charles and seriously considered drafting Alex Smith. That's enough Chiefs action for me, thank you.

Although they look poised for a serious improvement that is not a bad ideas. With the Royals still in it you know that a second KC team can't have moderate success. Especially with their receivers as Bowe is one of the most overrated pieces of shit in the league. Smith could play great and he still won't put up overly impressive numbers.

The TE point is valid, but I think you're underestimating Belichick. Do you really think that he's worried about what the guys on SportsCenter are going to say about him on Monday morning? Hell no. He's going to do what helps the Pats win, and if that means taking away a few passes from Brady in favor of handing the ball off to Ridley, then that's what he's going to do.

And to add to Ridley's credit, he had 58 carries inside the red-zone last season. That's HUGE. Even if he doesn't rack up the yards for me, he's going to see the end zone, and that's where the big money is. With Brady's end zone threats gone, Ridley is going to be a very attractive option when they get close to the goal line, and you don't need big running lanes when all you have to do is bang the ball 5 yards to score.

It seems that every time the Chiefs take a step forward, they also take a step back. They should have a marginally better season this year compared to last, but there's no way they're wrestling the division away from the Broncos, and I very much doubt they have what it takes to win a wildcard spot.

Who do you follow in sports sns? Like baseball and football, pro and college if it applies

What's the goss about the next BZT? I came across a list that had Blade above Wolverine, which seems a bit silly but there are another 23 guys above Wolverine.

http://whatculture.com/film/25-most-powerful-comic-book-movie-heroes.php/3

Having Blade on that list at all seems silly, but then again, so does Wolverine. When there are people like Black Bolt that can level a city with a whisper, a guy with metal claws and a healing factor isn't all that impressive, and Black Bolt is fairly tame considering how crazy some comic book characters can get.

Doc and I really have to sit down and get the BZT ball rolling as we've been putting it off for months. I'll talk to him about it soon and maybe we can get things going.

Kick Ass 2 received a 29% on Rotten Tomatoes, to put this in perspective a bit, the first Kick Ass was certified fresh with a 77%... I'm still planning on seeing it this morning but I'm going to the early bird matinee showing as to spend as little as possible on it, my expectations for this movie could not possibly get much lower than they are right now.

I took a look at the Metacritic ratings recently, and I have no idea why there is such a discrepancy between the two ratings (though the difference on Metacritic is much smaller than Rotten Tomatoes'). I watched Kick-Ass two nights ago and I thought Kick-Ass 2 was more entertaining. It's worth mentioning that Kick-Ass received a 80% rating from audiences and Kick-Ass 2 received a 77% rating, though.

I can see why critics wouldn't like Kick-Ass 2. It's crass, graphic, and does a lot of stuff for cheap pops. There's also a 16 year old girl that talks like a 30 year old man with mommy issues and a scene where a 17 year old girl does an extraordinarily provocative dance. There's quite a few things that Kick-Ass 2 did that were just things that would make the refined movie critic cringe.

Luckily, we're not refined movie critics. I went to Kick-Ass to see costumed superheroes kick the shit out of bad guys in the most hilariously graphic ways possible.

I'll be shocked if you don't like Kick-Ass 2. It's basically a slightly more over-the-top Kick-Ass.

Oh I don't think he's worried about the media at all. I think he's worried about one thing, and one thing only. Winning. And he doesn't give a shit who he pisses off to get there. And the best way to win is to have Tom Brady take snaps, drop back, and throw the football. Not to hand off to Stevan Ridley (on another note, who the hell names their kid Stevan? Really).

You most certainly do need running lanes, and again the Tight Ends were a VITAL part of their red zone offense. If there is nowhere to run then Ridley will just run into his blockers.

I hate to say it but Kick Ass 2 was fucking awful. Maybe it's because I read the book first but it just got progressively worse as time went on. The last thirty to forty minutes was infuriating. Probably one of the most disappointing sequels I've ever watched.

Seriously fuck that movie.

Like Ty said, Ridley put up nearly 1300 yards last season and scored 12 TDs. Brady will still get to toss the ball plenty, but if you don't think the run game is going to see an increased workload, then you're shitting yourself.

And I don't know what his parents were thinking. If you're going to toss an A in there, might as well go classy and spell it Stephan.

Yeah, up the middle, and TEs generally aren't the ones making that path on run plays up the middle.

I don't know what's not to like about the last 30 minutes of that movie. It was an awesome showdown that saw both sides do all sorts of awesome and hilarious shit. Hit-Girl's final fight was awesome.

You know Dave's friend who basically told Chris everything about Kick's Ass dad and subsequently caused his death only for him to have a completely happy ending no consequences aside like nothing ever happened?

Yeah that was ridiculous and a borderline slap in the face to the viewers, I did like Hit Girl's final fight but everything Chloe Grace Moretz did in this movie was a major step down from the previous film, in fact there was so many things from the previous film which just got worse.

I might have liked it had I not read the original and better version in the form of the book, maybe I'll watch the third film first so I won't hate it.

Oh and Jim Carrey was awesome, one of the few things they did right in the movie.

Just got back from seeing Kick Ass 2, while it had it's moments, it's... not great, or really even good. It felt like it was trying so hard to be like the first one only to completely miss the mark. The sick stick scene was probably one of the most ******ed, unnecessary displays of vulgarity I think I have ever witness inside a movie theater. I like most of the stuff with Hit-girl, who is really the star of these movies, & the little nod to Mark Millar with Kick Ass's dad hanging up the Superman poster in his room. The first Kick Ass was leaps & bounds better than this. I had more fun with Red 2 than with Kick Ass 2.

There was a phrase that was used for a couple of people in that list (Storm and Cyclops I believe) that I think was used last year a few times; 'Glass Cannon'. At first I thought, oh that sounds like an eye-catching weapon, until I realised it's a character that contains immense power but can be knocked out by a well-placed punch.

I tend to know very little about the characters involved in the BZT but it tends to lead to some good reads. Plus it may summon Dirty Jose back once again.

That means a lot coming from one of the most ******ed, unnecessarily vulgar forum posters I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Should have probable used these. And for when I eventually see the movie, I hope the placement of the 's was not a mistake

Apologies for anybody wanting to avoid the spoilers and see the movie, it's really bad though, assuming you have better taste than me I'm sure you'll figure it out though.

Is it weird that I'm very, very excited to see how Chloë Grace Moretz develops?

I like her but she's a real one hit wonder, even in this movie what she did was pretty lackluster.

In other words, you're better off reading the book. The movie is garbage.

Targeting a stud QB in the first round, Brandon Marshall, Wes Welker, or Lesean Mccoy in the second.

the tippy top of my sleeper list is TY Hilton of the Colts, Lamar Miller of the Phins.
