Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

It seems like you're in good hands in terms of Skyrim stuff, NorCal. I'm pretty sure you were sneaking though, and that's why you couldn't talk to that guy.

Is that not a US SNES to the right of the TV?

So it is. I got confused by the controller because the few times I've played SNES, I used the one with the multicolored buttons.

The Mancave I shall construct when I return from my journies net year will do great shame to them. Make them weep.

All the men of the NJX are buying houses and constructing man caves, and I'm sitting here about to move into a rental house with four other dudes.

That is an SNES, not an NES. I know you're a young whippersnapper, but you should know the difference.

I am disappoint.

That is correct, it is an SNES, not an NES. I'm surprised JGlass could not tell the difference.

In my defense, my parents wouldn't let me buy a console for almost all of my time with them. The first console I owned was a PS2 which was originally bought strictly so that my sister, who had some weight issues at the time, could use it for DDR. That lasted about a week before I got Guitar Hero 3, and from there I picked up several delightful additions to my PS2 collection.

But yes, I never really got to play any SNES games unless they were re-released on Gameboy Color/Advance, or if I downloaded them as a ROM for an emulator.

But do not weep for me, for I spent the time that I would have been wasting on video games getting laid.

That's a lie. I was not very successful with the ladies in high school. Most of the time I would have spent playing video games was spent playing computer games.

Glassius, whatya got goin on the weekend of July 14?

Money In The Bank in philly. Rumored title match of Dan Bryan Vs Johnny Cena.

Likely preparing to move back to Boston, but I'm sure I could make some time in my busy schedule for Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena.

I know virtually nothing about Skyrim and its series other than the fact that I watched my housemate play Oblivion for like 3 months straight a year ago. A bit of research has shown me that the planet that TES takes place on is part of a greater solar system. How trippy would it be if TES jumped forward a few thousand years and let you battle other races in space?

Oh, wait, they have a game like that already - albeit it's not an RPG. It's called Starcraft.

Wii is backwards compatible to Gamecube, so you just need a controller, the game, and memory card.

Fair game, I forgot about that feature of the Wii. Though to be fair the Wii has pretty much been relegated to the dancing games my daughter likes to play.

Also since we're talking old consoles, the first two I ever played was the old Atari 2600 and the original NES whenever I went to my grandparents house. We used to rent the SNES console since my family couldn't afford to buy it, but once we could we got Legend of Zelda: LTTP and my dad I would spend hours playing through that. Then I got a Genesis after working all summer. I think the SNES is still in working condition but the Genesis isn't anymore. I then bought a Playstation, broke that while trying to get a game to run. I was trying to clean the lens and snapped off a plastic piece on accident and it never worked again. Had a Dreamcast, the black sports edition one and I sold it, and I still regret selling it to this day. I also had the original Xbox before this current gen.

I should be able to swing it. Another thing we need to plan for is a screening of the PWS DVD.

I'm working on getting a car, I'd drive a few hours to come see you guys and enjoy wrestling with you. Also we could frank the tank the fuck outta some beers. Sadly I won't have enough money for a car by that PPV.

Well tell your daughter to get the hell off the dancing game, you wanna play.... Or just play it when she isn't playing.

Man, my bro and I got an NES for christmas as our first system and a Game Boy the next year (or vice versa). Had an Atari 2600 at some point after that. Didn't get the SNES til like 93/94. It was a christmas gift from our grandparents.

Then we collectively got N64 before going off our separate console ways. I got Cube/PS2, he got PS2/XBox. I went Wii/360 (later exchanging 360 for PS3), he went 360/PS3. I owned a genesis for the first time in like 2005/2006. All of them are in some varying degree of working order, except the Cube, which I sold after getting my Wii. I still break all them out every so often (usually one at a time).

In a strange story, at some point my Atari 2600 gave birth to a second Atari 2600. I have no clue how it happened but when I was in my basement one time I found a second Atari, and we never had 2 of them.

Oh of course, ill have it in my possesion, chances are you can come here before the show and stay after or some such (here as in her place. Owns a house, extra room, et al)

Upon frther investigation, just let me know how much your willing to contribute. We found some pretty sick nasty seats on stubhub, buuuut they are more expensive. Shit, the ones I originally wanted even are 90$ a piece. Lemme know.

Send a brother a PM about it and we'll talk details. I don't like discussing our affairs in front of all these prying eyes.

I was talking to a friend at work about the upcoming WWE house show I'm going to, he's taking his kid. I asked if his son was a Cena fan, he said not really, he likes Kane, Taker, Mark Henry, Big Show, Brock Lesnar, & Ryback. Clearly the kid has a thing for the super heavyweights.

He's a young IC25 I guess.

Hold the phone. I expect to see your beautiful faces. I've had my tickets for awhile and now I'm even more excited with the rumor of DB/Cena.

What a game tonight, shame the Spurs won.

Well now it's definitely happening. Is there a Philadelphia equivalent of Mustang Sally's we can go to before the show?

Not much around the arena, unfortunately. It isnt built like, into the side of a building in downtown the way MSG is.

Closest thing I can think of is Chickie and Pete's. They got themselves some damn good crab fries.

I'm reading reviews of The Last of Us over a late night snack. Hot damn, this game sounds absolutely breathtaking.

I've been there before a few times, and I remember it being built more similarly to the Meadowlands than the stadiums in New York, kind of off in its own complex near, but separate from the city. Still, there's probably a place nearby we can hole up if parking is cheap or something.
