Just realised that I forgot to update the prediction competition after Vengeance!

Here are the predictions and the results:

Which means that the ongoing scores are:

Well done Peep, out in front. It seems that Vengeance was a little predictable, though. Must make sure that the Royal Rumble isn't! I don't use the forums enough to say I'll guarantee a winner green rep (I'd only give it to the rest of you so that I'd spread it round enough to give it to the winner!) - however, I will run the competition over the next three PPV's.

ColeSMACKDOWN.jpg

As in last week’s episode of Friday Night SMACKDOWN, the new General Manager of SMACKDOWN, Michael Cole, has a pre-recorded message for the start of the show. Cole is stood in front of a blue SMACKDOWN sign holding a microphone and he smiles a cheesy grin as the camera rolls and he begins the show ...

MICHAEL COLE
Can I have your attention, please?

Despite the fact that his address is pre-recorded so won’t feature any reaction from the crowd, Cole pauses ...

MICHAEL COLE
Thank you. I am Michael Cole, the new General Manager of SMACKDOWN, the soon-to-be Number 1 show in the WWE. For all the new viewers tuning in tonight now that Teddy Long has been fired, I welcome you. Tonight’s SMACKDOWN will be, as always, a vintage show. In last week’s SMACKDOWN main event, Christian – with assistance from RAW’s Randy Orton – defeated John Cena in a Number 1 contender match to earn himself the chance to face CM Punk for the World Championship in just over two weeks time at the Royal Rumble. Despite the fact that Christian was illegally assisted by Mr. Orton, I have spoken to John Cena and he has accepted that he was defeated and that Christian should challenge CM Punk at the Rumble. Due to Mr. Cena’s excellent attitude towards this issue, I have decided that he will be given a spot in the Royal Rumble for SMACKDOWN. Furthermore, Mr. Cena and myself both agree with the decision of the WWE owner, Chip Butty, that Randy Orton should be banned from appearing at the Royal Rumble event. With Orton out of the way, I fully expect John Cena to win the Royal Rumble for the WWE’s apex show.

Now, onto tonight’s show, we are live in Mobile, Alabama, where tonight’s main event will be a rematch from last week as John Cena will go one on one with Christian. After his punishment last week on RAW, I do not believe that Randy Orton would be stupid enough to try and appear on SMACKDOWN tonight again. However, to ensure that Randy Orton has no impact on tonight’s result, I have decided to appoint a special guest referee for the match – the World Heavyweight Champion, CM PUNK! I am sure that you are now desperate for the show to begin so I will finish here – enjoy the show!

The camera fades as SMACKDOWN’s opening credits roll to begin the show ...

Todd Grisham and Mick Foley introduce the show as the camera zooms in on the WWE Universe who are excited for tonight’s SMACKDOWN event here in Mobile. Grisham and Foley hype up the announcement from General Manager Michael Cole that tonight’s main event will feature Number 1 contender Christian up against John Cena with CM Punk, the World Champion, as the special guest referee for the match. Foley also speculates that it is a massive night for Cena as he begins his preparations for the Royal Rumble match; Foley is confident that Cena could provide SMACKDOWN with another Royal Rumble victory after Edge won it whilst on SMACKDOWN last year. Grisham says that Cena must be a strong contender to win ...

JOHN CENA

... Grisham’s comments are interrupted as the man himself, John Cena, heads out into the arena. Looking thoroughly annoyed over the events of last week, Cena storms towards the ring and ignores the boos that echo around the arena as he snatches a microphone and calls for his music to be cut. As his music fades out, Cena stands facing the cameras looking annoyed and ready to get something off his chest right now ...

JOHN CENA
Yeah, you’re all right, you’ve guessed correctly. I am incredibly p****d off tonight. Trust me, you don’t wanna’ get on the wrong side of me tonight. So all you idiots here in Mobile ...

Huge boos for Cena after his insult ...

JOHN CENA
... you better shut up and listen real good because I’ve got something important to say tonight. When I arrived here on SMACKDOWN a month ago, I thought I had left behind the moaning and the bitterness of Randy Orton for good. The so-called ‘Viper’ on RAW was jealous of my position on RAW as the top dog and the man that was always there to be shot at – but was hardly ever beaten. Bitterness is a terrible thing, as you lot here in Mobile know only too well ...

Cena cracks a smile for the first time as the hate rains down on him once more, he holds up the microphone to further upset the crowd as he shows his contempt for them ...

JOHN CENA
... As I was saying ... Bitterness is a terrible thing, Randy, it eats away inside you. Despite all your successes on RAW, all your reigns as the WWE Champion, you could never beat me, you could never overcome me to become the Number 1 guy on RAW. By leaving RAW, I have done you a massive favour ... you now have a chance to be the man. So what did you do instead? You blamed me because you lost your WWE Championship to Wade Barrett, you keep invading SMACKDOWN to attack me? And now, now, you’ve been suspended from the Royal Rumble because you interfered in my Number 1 contender match last week on SMACKDOWN. A nobody, a washed up, broken down, never-was excuse of a SMACKDOWN superstar, Christian, has a shot at the World Championship.

Cheers for the mention of Christian as Number 1 contender ...

JOHN CENA
At the Royal Rumble, Christian faces CM Punk for the title and I have decided to accept that. I could moan and complain like you, Orton, I could let bitterness take me down but I am not going to do that. I am going to make sure I create history instead. You see, Orton, unlike you, I have some pride and dignity left. At Vengeance, I defeated you once and for all, I am finished with you and I have other goals to accomplish now – and they’re all here on SMACKDOWN. I have no reason to feud and fight with the top man on RAW – I’ve already proven time after time that he, you, has no business in the ring with me. So, I am setting my sights on Cleveland, Ohio, 16 days time, the Royal Rumble. An event that you have been barred from Orton, an event where I will win the Royal Rumble match and secure my spot in the main event of WrestleMania where I will defeat the World Champion and become the top man here on the top brand in the WWE ...

A loud ‘Cena sucks!’ chant begins which again forces a smile from the man himself ...

JOHN CENA
Oh, trust me, Mobile, Cena does not suck. Mobile might suck, Alabama might suck, Randy Orton might suck but I don’t. Tonight, I begin to prove to you all that John Cena is for real. I am starting an undefeated streak that will last from tonight when I face Christian in a rematch from last week until WrestleMania and beyond. Nobody will defeat me, I will win the World Heavyweight Championship and I will rule SMACKDOWN. If you don’t believe me, Mobile, just watch me.

More boos from the crowd as Cena’s music restarts and he taunts the crowd in the ring by waving his hand over his face and confirming to the crowd that they can’t see him. Cena exits the ring and heads for the ramp as Grisham and Foley remind us of the announcement on RAW: Randy Orton, as punishment for appearing on SMACKDOWN last week, is barred from the Royal Rumble PPV and will not feature in any matches, he will not even be allowed to set foot in the building. Grisham speaks of hundreds of Twitter and Facebook petitions and protests over the barring of Orton from the Rumble and Foley suggests that he thinks something should be done to allow Orton to compete if that is what the fans want to see. The camera switches backstage where Josh Mathews is stood smiling and holding a microphone in the SMACKDOWN interview area ...

JOSH MATHEWS
Ladies and Gentlemen, we just heard from one half of the SMACKDOWN main event tonight in John Cena, now please welcome my guest at this time, the man he will face tonight and the World Championship Number 1 contender ... CHRISTIAN!

Cheers from the crowd here in Mobile for the popular superstar who appears beside Josh Mathews with a huge grin on his face ...

JOSH MATHEWS
Christian, in two weeks time, you will challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble but tonight you have to face John Cena again with the World Champion, CM Punk as the special guest referee ... Your thoughts?

CHRISTIAN
You know what, Josh? I just heard the rubbish that John Cena spoke in the ring just then, he sounded as if he was completely deluded in some way. But Cena is right in one thing he says – SMACKDOWN is the top show here in the WWE. You see, Cena thinks he can just head on over to SMACKDOWN and win the World Championship, he thinks because he was the ‘Face of Monday Night RAW’ that it will be simple here on SMACKDOWN. Well, Cena, you’re wrong. Here on SMACKDOWN, we have some of the best WWE superstars there has ever been. Tough veteran guys like Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Kane, the Phenom of the WWE, The Undertaker. Up and coming young guys like Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, Alberto Del Rio and Cody Rhodes. Guys like Matt Hardy and Mark Henry who have never held the big title and are desperate to do just that. And, though I’m not a fan of him, the World Champion CM Punk, one of the toughest guys in the WWE.

Christian laughs to himself as he thinks about Cena’s comments ...

CHRISTIAN
Cena, you seem to think that you can walk into SMACKDOWN and just win the World Championship? It doesn’t work like that! You need to learn to respect those guys that are established here on SMACKDOWN and realise that to be the World Champion you are going to have to fight and scratch and claw for your life in order to get the opportunity. Just like I have done. For years here on SMACKDOWN, I have fought, scratched, bitten and clawed my way up, recovered from injuries and defeats, kept on battling for my chance. After I beat you last week, I finally earned what people like Matt Hardy and Mark Henry would do anything to get – a shot at the World Championship. At the Royal Rumble, I face CM Punk with the title up for grabs and I am determined to take my chance.

Christian considers his next words carefully before continuing ...

CHRISTIAN
CM Punk is a hell of a wrestler, I will have to be at my very best to beat him. But, Josh, I have worked too hard and for too long to let this one pass. The difference between Cena and me is that I will respect CM Punk, I will go out there knowing that I can be beaten at any second if I don’t stay focused. I’m not going to guarantee victory but I am going to guarantee that CM Punk will never have to work harder to retain that title, I will guarantee that I will do everything I can to win the title and I believe that I can. Cena believes that he can just show up here on SMACKDOWN and win the World Championship, it appears he has Michael Cole on his side as well. You can earn it too, Cena. Go to the Rumble, win it and get your shot and I’ll see you at WrestleMania. But tonight, do not underestimate me. You blamed your defeat last week on Randy Orton? Well, tonight, with CM Punk as the referee to ensure no outside interference, you’ll have no excuses. Your ‘undefeated streak’ will end before it even begins, Cena. I am going to prove to you that ...

Christian pauses and looks to his left as somebody else catches his eye. The camera turns to show CM Punk, World Championship belt over his shoulder, standing looking at Christian with a cocky smirk on his face. Punk silently applauds Christian’s comments before slowly walking away as Grisham informs us that he is set to go one on with Evan Bourne next before his special guest referee role later tonight. Christian watches Punk walk away with a determined look in his eyes ...

A match card appears on screen showing the World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and his opponent for the next match, Evan Bourne. Grisham and Foley hype up the appearance of the World Champion tonight and he is coming next after this commercial break. Will Punk continue on with his winning streak with a victory over the high flying Evan Bourne? Or will he manage to cause an upset here tonight on SMACKDOWN?

Foley and Grisham remind us of the Tag Team Turmoil match that Chip Butty announced on NXT last week and reminds us that Bourne and Henry will be facing the Tag Team Champions, the Major Broskis, on NXT next week to try and secure a late entry into the match. With Henry on the outside and Bourne preparing in the ring, attention turns towards the titantron as the music of the World Champion starts up ...

CM PUNK

A mixed reaction for the World Heavyweight Champion as CM Punk heads out sauntering onto the stage with a look of smugness on his face. With the World Championship belt fastened around his waist, Punk kneels down on stage and shouts that it is ‘clobbering time’ before heading down towards the ring. The WWE Universe is jeering Punk although he retains his hardcore support and there is a faint ‘CM Punk’ chant as he steps into the ring. Punk points to Henry and demands that the referee tells him to stay out of his business tonight before climbing into the corner and raising the World Championship for the WWE Universe to see.

MATCH 1 | SINGLES MATCH
CM PUNK vs. EVAN BOURNE (w/Mark Henry)

Both men use their feet to their advantage in the early stages of the contest as they look to gain the upper hand – CM Punk is the man who manages to get in control of the contest though and the World Champion looks to get the match over as quickly as he can. However, he cannot focus on the match and keeps glancing over at the hulking figure of Mark Henry at ringside even though he is innocently cheering on his tag partner rather than looking to get involved in the contest. A backbreaker from Punk leaves Bourne down on the mat in trouble and Punk heads to the top rope looking for a top rope elbow. Again, he gets distracted by Mark Henry though whilst on the top rope, for no reason. With his eyes diverted towards Henry, this allows Bourne the chance to jump up and hit a hurricanrana to Punk that crashes him down off the ropes. Bourne makes a quick pin as the crowd get excited that they’re about to see a shock win for Bourne ...

1 ... 2 ... Punk kicks out!

Shocked by the attack, Punk jumps up quickly and swings at Bourne but he ducks and hits the ropes before jumping up at Punk and hitting a double knee attack that takes the champion down once again. Punk is down on the mat and Bourne hits a standing moonsault to the Straight Edge superstar before hooking the leg for another cover ...

1 ... 2 ... Punk kicks out!

Bourne is exciting the crowd now and he hits a spinning kick to the head of Punk that takes him down before he heads for the top rope with the cheers of the crowd ringing through the arena. Evan Bourne climbs the ropes with the WWE Universe and Mark Henry cheering him on. Bourne leaps off the top ropes looking to hit AIR BOURNE ... Punk rolls out of the way at the last second! Bourne eats the mat instead and Punk survives again. He takes a second to recover as Bourne struggles to his feet and then he hits a running knee in the corner before following it up with a bulldog that takes Bourne down to the mat face first. Punk makes a cover on Bourne ...

1 ... 2 ... Kick out from Evan Bourne!

Punk hits a series of kicks and forearms to the ribs and head of Evan Bourne before whipping him into the ropes and hitting a snap powerslam that crashes Bourne down again. Punk has taken control now and he steps through the ropes to the outside before slingshotting himself back into the ring over the top rope to hit a clothesline to Bourne. A Shining Wizard kick crashes Bourne out, he looks beaten here as the World Champion is impressively taking him apart – Punk makes the cover ...

1 ... 2 ... Bourne kicks out just in time!

Punk looks around at the crowd who are jeering him in the main – he smiles a wicked smile and signals that it is time for Evan Bourne to go to sleep. Punk lifts a groggy Evan Bourne up onto his shoulders and looks out at the WWE Universe with a grin; his attention is again taken by Bourne’s partner, why can’t Punk ignore him tonight? The hesitation is just what Bourne needs and he wriggles down the back of Punk and rolls him up for a surprise schoolboy pinfall ...

1 ... 2 ... 3! Nooooooo! Punk escapes just in time!

The crowd groan desperately as Bourne fails to hold the champion down for the complete three count. Bourne slaps the mat in frustration but he jumps to his feet and prepares to go on the attack again. A standing knee to the jaw of CM Punk staggers him before he jumps up onto the middle rope, springboards off and delivers a drop kick to Punk. Cover from CM Punk ...

1 ... 2 ... Kick out from Punk!

Bourne seems determined to secure the victory here and he prepares to hit another big move as Punk gets to his feet; Bourne goes to hit an Inzuguri to Punk but the World Champion manages to duck as Bourne’s foot looks to connect. Off balance after the miss, Bourne turns to face Punk. Punk is ready now and he forces Bourne’s head down before lifting him up and hitting a powerbomb that crashes Bourne down on his back. Punk, quick as lightning, now leaps on Bourne and starts folding him up ... ANACONDA VICE LOCKED IN BY CM PUNK! WILL EVAN BOURNE TAP OUT?

CM PUNK (6:26)

Grisham and Foley praise the effort from Evan Bourne but then suggest that CM Punk is one of the best wrestlers in the world due to his ability to stay in the fight until he gets an opportunity. Mark Henry helps his partner out of the ring as the referee holds Punk’s arm in the air and hands him the World Championship belt which he raises aloft. With Punk victorious, he smiles another confident smile and waves mockingly to Bourne as he disappears up the ramp. Punk is handed a microphone which he prepares to speak into as he waits for his breath to slow down after the action of the match ...

CM PUNK
That, that was what the WWE is all about. Two talented guys, one on one in the ring, fighting for supremacy and honour. And – in the end – the best man, the best wrestler in the world ... the World Heavyweight Champion ... won the match again. Tonight, I fought off the efforts of Evan Bourne and in two weeks time, I will fight a man who has been trying to break into the main event for over a decade ... Christian.

Loud cheers for Christian who is a popular choice to be challenging for Punk’s World Championship ...

CM PUNK
Now, I got to tell you, Christian is a great competitor and he deserves his chance. I overheard him earlier tonight telling you all that he was living his dream by challenging for the World Championship and that he would do everything in his power to become champion. That is a noble sentiment but the fact remains that I am the best wrestler in the world, Christian, I am the guy that beat Big Show to win the World Championship and I am the guy that defeated Kane, Show and Kofi Kingston at Vengeance to keep hold of it.

Some mild jeers for Punk but he continues on regardless ...

CM PUNK
I don’t care who I have to face, the fact of the matter is that I am the World Champion here on SMACKDOWN. As you just saw, I am capable of overcoming all barriers to ensure victory and at the Royal Rumble, I will do just that once again. Christian, your dream is to go to the Royal Rumble and win the World Heavyweight Championship? Unfortunately, I am the Straight Edge superstar here on SMACKDOWN, it makes me better than you and come the Royal Rumble, I will defeat you and be your nightmare.

Punk drops the microphone as ‘This Fire Burns’ starts up once more and he heads out of the ring back up the ramp with the title belt high above his head. Punk stands on stage and looks out over the SMACKDOWN audience and shrugs his shoulders as if to say that he is sorry but that is the way it is going to be. There are jeers for him but Grisham and Foley speak of how tough Christian is going to find it against CM Punk and how his dream might not be as close as he thinks. Foley suggests that Punk is on a huge roll right now and that he could well be the best on SMACKDOWN – how can Christian defeat him?

BIG SHOW

A mixed reception for the World’s Largest Athlete as he heads out towards the ring with a look of sorrow on his face and holding his hands up in an apologetic way. He heads up the steel steps and steps over the top rope without stopping for his trademark choke slam salute to the fans and takes a microphone. He holds his hand up for his music to be faded and for the fans to settle a little before he starts ...

BIG SHOW
Errr ... Look ... Last week, I ... Well ... I got carried away. I got caught up in a match and I ... well ... see for yourself ... Roll the footage ...

Big Show, looking embarrassed by his actions from last week, signals for the technicians to show the footage from SMACKDOWN last week when he went one on one with Kofi Kingston in a battle between two friends after Kofi had challenged him over hitting him from behind in the World Championship match at Vengeance. With the smaller Kingston proving to be a more difficult challenge than perhaps Big Show expected him to be, Show suddenly resorted to picking up a TV monitor from the SMACKDOWN announce table and crashing it into the head of the African ... The camera returns to the ring where Big Show is stood looking apologetic still and he appears to be annoyed with his actions last week ...

BIG SHOW
Most of you know that over the years, I have had a few issues with controlling my anger. Recently, I have controlled it well but last week, well, last week, something just snapped for a moment. I don’t know what caused me to do what I did. Kofi Kingston is an amazing young star here on SMACKDOWN, he is the future of the WWE and I am proud to count him as a friend of mine ...

Show wipes away the beads of sweat collecting on his forehead and shakes his head a little as he recalls his actions last week ...

BIG SHOW
So, I’m out here right now to ask my friend, Kofi Kingston, to come out to the ring so I can apologise to him in person, so I can shake his hand and so we can move on from this situation once and for all. Kofi, will you please come out here?

Show turns his attention towards the stage and the titantron which remains quiet for a few moments. With the whole of the arena focused on the entrance to the arena, it suddenly comes to life with yellow and green as Kofi begins to make his way towards the ring ...

KOFI KINGSTON

It is a less than excited Kofi Kingston that heads out into the arena, he is not his usual self after what happened last week. Kofi walks towards the ring in a custom made tracksuit and there are no pyrotechnics here. Kofi heads into the ring where he picks up a microphone coming in and stands opposite Show as his music fades ...

BIG SHOW
Thanks for coming out, Kofi, it means a lot to me.

Kofi remains quiet and simply looks up into the eyes of the taller Big Show ...

BIG SHOW
Kofi, I asked you out here, man, to apologise for my actions last week. I don’t know what caused me to do that, I just snapped for a moment inside. You know how it can be sometimes, I was frustrated that I couldn’t put you away ... I just lost control. All week, I’ve replayed that moment in my head trying to justify it or come up with a reason for why I did it ... But I can’t ... All I can do, Kofi, is say that I am sorry. I am truly, truly sorry. Kofi, I am proud to count you as a friend of mine here on SMACKDOWN, I hope you can forgive me.

Big Show extends his hand towards Kofi and offers to shake and forget last week for good. Show continues to tell Kofi that he is sorry for his actions as Kofi considers whether or not to accept the apology. Looking round the ring, Kofi is encouraged by the WWE Universe to shake hands with Big Show and, after a long pause, Kofi takes Show’s hand and he shakes it.

BIG SHOW
Thanks, Kofi. That means a lot.

KOFI KINGSTON
Man, I have to say that I’ve been angry with you all week. But I can see it in your eyes that I can trust you, that you didn’t mean to do what you did. To drive you to do what you did, I must have frustrated you and showed that I am a major player here on SMACKDOWN. I hope I made a believer out of you, Show?

BIG SHOW
I’ve always been a believer in you, Kofi. You are the future of this business and I see you entertaining the WWE Universe for a long time ...

KOFI KINGSTON
And winning World and WWE Championships?

Show pauses at first but then nods his head to Kofi ...

BIG SHOW
Sure, Kofi. I think you have all the tools to become the World Champion or the WWE Champion. With a little luck as well, there is no reason why you can’t ...

KOFI KINGSTON
Show, Show, Show, last week I took you to the limit and forced you to a place where you had to resort to an extreme moment of fury due to frustration. Yet, you still don’t believe in me. Do you?

Kofi looks to Big Show who looks uncomfortable as he looks into his friend’s eyes considering what to say ...

BIG SHOW
Kofi, that isn’t what I said, I said that ...

KOFI KINGSTON
Look, Show, I’ve accepted your apology. We’re cool. But we’re friends and I need you to be honest with me. If you don’t think I can win the big one, tell me.

BIG SHOW
Kofi, you have all the tools. I just don’t see that you have that last little piece that you need. I don’t know why, I can’t explain it. I hope you can prove me wrong but you’re right, I’m not convinced, I don’t think you can win the WWE Championship or the World Championship. I’m just being honest with you, man.

Kofi nods his head in appreciation and thinks carefully for a moment before responding ...

KOFI KINGSTON
That’s fine, Show, that’s cool. I am going to prove you wrong some time but I appreciate your honesty. I guess we’ll find out at the Royal Rumble ...

BIG SHOW
The Royal Rumble that I am going to win, Kofi!

There are some slight boos for Big Show’s interruption but Kofi looks at him with a smile ...

KOFI KINGSTON
We’ll see, Show. We’ll ...

????
Hold it there!

Another interruption for Kingston but this time it is the SMACKDOWN General Manager who is walking out onto the stage to huge jeers and heat ...

MICHAEL COLE
May I have your attention please? I am Michael Cole and I am the new General Manager here on SMACKDOWN. Now, Kofi, Big Show, I’ve been listening to you from my office and whilst this apologising and handshaking is all fine for ‘these’ people here in Mobile ...

More jeers for Cole as he infers that ‘these’ people are simple ...

MICHAEL COLE
... It is not fine for the SMACKDOWN General Manager who has a show that needs exciting action to help it overtake Monday Night RAW in the ratings. So here is what I think needs to happen. Kofi, last week, your friend Big Show hit you in the head with a television monitor and got himself disqualified. Here you are vowing that you are going to prove him wrong and win the Rumble, go to WrestleMania and win the World Championship. Now, I happen to agree with Show here, you’re never going to do that ...

Intense hate for Cole now as he insults Kofi; the Ghanaian looks not impressed as he looks up at Cole on the stage with a look of anger on his face ...

MICHAEL COLE
Oh, be quiet, Mobile!

A ‘You Suck!’ chant erupts in the arena and Cole is subjected to an embarrassing few seconds where he shakes his head and denies the claim ...

MICHAEL COLE
Now, if I can continue without interruptions, Kofi, I want to see you prove your credentials here on SMACKDOWN. So tonight, we are going to have a rematch. It will be Kofi Kingston – one on one ... with the Big Show!

BIG SHOW
Hold it, Cole, there is no need for that! Kofi and I have put our little squabble behind us, there is no reason for us to face off against each other tonight.

Kofi looks surprised at Show’s comments as he seemed up for facing his friend – he looks to Show and listens carefully to Cole’s response ...

MICHAEL COLE
You appear to be forgetting who the SMACKDOWN General Manager is, Show. I am – and I say tonight will see Kofi Kingston face the Big Show. And before you argue, let me tell you something. If you refuse to take part, both of you will not even be entering the Royal Rumble!

Show looks worried but Kofi speaks to him off microphone and looks to be reassuring him that they can have a great match and retain their friendship. Show accepts and the pair of them shake hands once again ... Cole smirks to himself on stage and turns on his heels and walks away to leave Show and Kofi in the ring as Foley and Grisham hype up tonight’s big match between the pair of them. The camera switches backstage where Cole is walking along a corridor with a grin on his face after throwing his weight around. He turns into the door marked SMACKDOWN GENERAL MANAGER and heads into his office where we see an annoyed looking Matt Hardy waiting for him ...

MICHAEL COLE
What the hell are you doing in my office, Hardy? Get the hell ...

MATT HARDY
Relax, Michael, relax, I’m here to see you. I wanted to talk to you about my match tonight ...

MICHAEL COLE
What is there to understand? Tonight, Matt Hardy up against Cody Rhodes in a Number 1 contender match for the Intercontinental Championship. The winner will get to face Alberto Del Rio in the near future for the Intercontinental Title. I don’t get why you’re confused ...

Hardy looks at Cole and it seems he isn’t happy about being in this match ...

MATT HARDY
Michael, I don’t wish to dis-respect the Intercontinental Championship, Cody Rhodes, Alberto Del Rio or SMACKDOWN but ... I’m not interested in being the Intercontinental Champion anymore. I want to be getting set for the Royal Rumble, I want to be making my way up the ranks here on SMACKDOWN in order to receive a shot at the World Championship in the future.

There is the sound of cheers from the crowd for the popular Hardy who looks to Cole expectantly ... Cole muses for a moment as he considers a response ...

MICHAEL COLE
Hmmmm ... TOUGH!

More loud jeers for Cole as he smirks at Hardy who looks even more annoyed now ...

MICHAEL COLE
I don’t understand why everybody thinks they can question my authority tonight, first Big Show, now you. I am the SMACKDOWN General Manager, I am in charge of this show. And I am telling you, Hardy, to go out there, face off with Cody Rhodes and do your best to win the match and earn yourself an Intercontinental Championship match. And if you don’t win the match, Hardy, do you know what I’ll do?

Hardy stares at Cole waiting for the answer ...

MICHAEL COLE
I won’t enter you into the Rumble match. So, if you want to enter the Royal Rumble, you better become the Number 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Am I understood?

Hardy scowls at Cole but realises there is no use arguing and he storms out of the General Manager’s office ... Cole looks content as he sits down on his desk with a smile on his face ...

MICHAEL COLE
SMACKDOWN General Manager taking charge ... Vintage Michael Cole!

The cameras return to the ring and Tony Chimel announces that the next match is the Number 1 contender match for the Intercontinental Championship as mentioned by Cole just moments ago ...

A good reception for Hardy although he looks far from happy as Grisham and Foley recall the previous altercation with the SMACKDOWN General Manager, Michael Cole, where Hardy was forced to compete in this Number 1 contender match for the Intercontinental Championship. Foley reminds us that, even though Hardy would prefer to chase the World Championship, he has to compete tonight and win a shot at the Intercontinental Title or else he loses his place in the Royal Rumble in just over two weeks time. Hardy steps into the ring and looks set to take out his frustrations on the ‘Dashing’ one in this match that he dare not lose ...

MATCH 2 | NUMBER 1 CONTENDER MATCH (INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP)
CODY RHODES vs. MATT HARDY

An even match between one of SMACKDOWN’s veterans and a younger up and coming superstar that sees both men have spells in control of the contest. Rhodes’ nasty side certainly shows as he halts Hardy’s early momentum by pulling down the top rope and causing Hardy to topple head first over the rope and outside the ring where he crashes into the barriers. Rhodes utilises the referee’s count – and his lenient side – as he rams Hardy into the barricades and the ring posts on the outside to try and take the momentum away. Once he rolls Hardy back into the ring, Rhodes proceeds to physically dissect Hardy and looks to be inching closer to victory and a date with Alberto Del Rio in the near future. However, an attempted Cross Rhodes fails and Hardy reverses into a Side Effect to regain the upper hand. A leg drop from the top by Hardy misses and Rhodes just fails with a surprise roll up before looking to bash the lights out of Matt in the corner as he connects with big right hands. Things look bleak for Matt when Rhodes springboards from the rope and connects with a devastating kick – BEAUTIFUL DISASTER KICK! Rhodes makes the cover but it is not enough as Matt manages to grab the bottom rope and break the count much to the dismay of Rhodes who is livid with the referee. As Rhodes argues with the ref, Hardy sneaks up and rolls him up for a 2-count before taking advantage of Rhodes’ being off-guard and whipping Rhodes to the corner, hitting a clothesline and following up with a Bulldog. Hardy heads up the ropes in the corner and he hits the Hardy pose – which prompts a reminder from Foley that Matt’s brother Jeff Hardy will be returning soon – before a Hardy Leg Drop from the top rope. Hardy gets a 2-count again but he appears to be ready now and he waits for Cody to stagger up ... TWIST OF FATE! HARDY HITS THE TWIST OF FATE!

MATT HARDY (6:56)

Hardy rolls out of the ring with a look of annoyance still in his eyes as he heads up the ramp. He slaps hands with some fans and raises his hand in victory as Grisham hypes up a future Intercontinental Championship match with Alberto Del Rio as well as Matt’s now confirmed place in the Royal Rumble. Matt backs away up the ramp but is suddenly attacked from behind with a clothesline to the back of his head and shoulders. The camera swivels round and Alberto Del Rio is staring at the floored Hardy with an evil smile on his face. Hardy hit the ramp hard and he struggles back up just in time for Del Rio to stand back and watch as Cody Rhodes – upset at his loss – sets him up and hits the Cross Rhodes on the steel. Jeers and boos are echoing around the arena but Del Rio smirks and laughs before grabbing Hardy’s arm and locking in the deadly Cross Arm Breaker as well. Hardy is squirming and looks to be in tremendous pain as Del Rio synchs it in harder and Matt is forced to tap out to the Mexican. However, he refuses to release and Hardy looks to be in danger of injury here as he taps out further. Eventually, Del Rio heeds the advice of the officials who pour out from backstage and releases the submission hold before standing over Hardy. His announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, hands him a microphone and Del Rio looks set to speak as he stands over the writhing Hardy ...

ALBERTO DEL RIO
My name ... My name is Alberto Del Rio ... But you already knew that! You also know that I am the Intercontinental Champion ... And it is my destiny to be the greatest Intercontinental Champion ... of all time. It is also my destiny to win the Royal Rumble ... and go to WrestleMania to challenge for the World Championship as well. Matt Hardy ... he is a nobody, a él no es nadie, he will never beat me for this Intercontinental Championship ...

Del Rio holds the title belt high over his head ...

ALBERTO DEL RIO
... And he will not beat me in the Royal Rumble either. Next week, on SMACKDOWN, Michael Cole has told me we will have our match for this title ... and you, Matt Hardy, you will lose ...

Del Rio stomps hard in the stomach of Hardy before holding the title up high again and stepping away, backing up the ramp as the medics check on Matt’s condition ...

SMACKDOWN returns with a replay from this week’s NXT where Chip Butty appeared on the show to announce a ‘revamp’ of the Tag Team division ...

WWE Owner
CHIP BUTTY

Another mixed reaction for the owner too as he heads out wearing a suit and smiling and waving to the fans. Butty climbs into the ring and shakes hands with the Tag Team Champions before asking if he can borrow one of their belts. As his music fades, Butty holds up Ryder’s Tag Team Championship belt and begins to speak. He says that the Tag Team Championships are a title to be proud of – they have been held by some of the greatest performers ever seen in the WWE. Butty lists the great Tag Team Champions of the past – from the original champions, Luke Graham and tarzan Tyler to Mr. Fuji and Professor Tanaka, The Blackjacks, The Wild Samoans, The British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, Legion of Doom, Money Incorporated, Headshrinkers, New Age Outlaws, APA, Hardy Boys, Edge and Christian, Dudley Boys and Degeneration X ... He says that all of them have been proud to hold these titles and that it is time that the current titles were given a shake up and the Tag Team division reinvigorated ahead of WrestleMania 27. Butty suggests that he wants the very best Tag Teams to compete at WrestleMania and that the Royal Rumble will be the start of it. Butty says that he has identified a number of WWE superstars that will – from now on – purely focus on the Tag Team division and will be aiming to win the titles. At the Royal Rumble, six of these teams will battle for the titles, including the Major Broskis.

Ryder and Hawkins don’t like the sound of five teams challenging them although the WWE Universe seem happy enough with the decision. Ryder interrupts Butty and questions the decision to have five challengers before adding ‘Are you serious, bro?’ for good measure. Butty assures him he is serious and that at the Rumble, we will start to find out who the best Tag Teams are in a Tag Team Turmoil match. Butty reminds us that this means that two teams start and the winners continue on until the end – coming into the match later is an advantage. Butty says that there will be three Tag Team matches over the next three weeks on NXT – the winner of each match will guarantee that they will be given fourth, fifth or sixth entry in the match whilst the losers will end up starting or coming in as the third team and having to win more matches to take the titles. Ryder and Hawkins look extremely worried now but Curt asks who the other five teams will be. Butty announces that tonight we will see the Usos face Cryme Time – big pop for Cryme Time – for a later entry into Tag Team Turmoil. Next week, Ryder and Hawkins will face ... Evan Bourne and Mark Henry! And in the week before the Rumble, the Hart Dynasty will face a newly formed team. Butty says he will introduce them now ... they are called ... THE BRITISH EMPIRE!

BRITISH EMPIRE
Finlay, William Regal & Mason Ryan

With Finlay discarding his green Irish colours in favour of red, white and blue British colours and carrying the Union Jack flag, out head the three members of the British Empire – Finlay, fellow veteran William Regal and the unknown face of Mason Ryan. They immediately are getting heat, there is something about their sneering looks that tells you that this team are not a team who are going to be sucking up to the fans. As they enter the ring, Butty shakes their hands and welcomes them to the WWE whilst the Tag Team Champions look on nervously. Regal takes a microphone and immediately thanks his fellow Brit, Chip Butty, for allowing them to take part in the Royal Rumble Tag Team Turmoil match. He then turns his attention towards Ryder and Hawkins and stares at them – Regal advises them to get out of the ring now. Slowly, Ryder and Hawkins decide to heed the advice and they exit the ring to leave the Empire all alone in the ring. Regal informs the WWE Universe that long ago, Britain ruled the oceans and the world. They owned the majority of it, they discovered half of it and they led the way so that countries like the USA could follow in their footsteps. A ‘USA!’ chant goes up and Regal demands respect and quiet – huge heat already for the British Empire. Regal accuses them of being typical Americans, loud and crass. He says that they should try and be more like their British cousins across the ‘Pond’ ... sophisticated and respectful. Regal introduces the Empire to us – representing Northern Ireland will be Finlay, representing England will be himself and then he introduces Mason Ryan, who looks to be a real powerhouse, a representative of Wales. Regal informs the WWE Universe that only two of them will be taking part in Tag Team Turmoil but they aren’t going to spoil that surprise ... yet. Regal goes on to promise one thing – by the end of the Royal Rumble, the British Empire will begin to take over the WWE with the Tag Team Championship firmly in their grasp. Regal sarcastically thanks the WWE Universe in Alabama for their time and their welcome before asking for quiet whilst the British National Anthem is played in honour of the WWE’s newest tag team. Huge boos erupt around the arena to the disgust of Regal and his team but the British National Anthem of ‘God Save The Queen’ plays ... Another ‘USA!’ chant goes up to interrupt and Regal does not look impressed as it ends. Striker and Matthews hype up the arrival of this new team and speculate that the Tag Team Turmoil match doesn’t sound good for the current champions, the Major Broskis.

Throughout the match, the British Empire remain on the ramp watching the action but they do not interfere at any stage of the contest. Their appearance seems to have affected the Tag Team Champions more than Cryme Tyme who appear much more relaxed during the match. Cryme Tyme dominate the early stages but Curt Hawkins manages to rake the eyes of JTG to halt his momentum before quick tags between him and Ryder lead to JTG becoming isolated. As the match heads towards its conclusion, JTG makes several failed attempts to tag in Shad as well as one occasion when Shad gets the tag and begins a dominating spree but the referee misses the tag due to quick thinking from Ryder. Ryder hits the Rough Ryder on JTG and fails to make the cover as he chooses instead to make a tag to Hawkins who climbs to the top rope ready to finish the match off. Hawkins soars off the ropes looking for the Heat Seeking Elbow but JTG misses and manages to make the tag instead. MATCH 4 | DIVAS SINGLES MATCH
KELLY KELLY vs. MARYSE

Kelly starts as a ball of fire as she races across the ring the moment that the bell is rung, firing slaps off with her right and left hands as Maryse tries to cover up. Kelly is clearly enraged by Maryse’s unprovoked attack before the bell and she starts to stomp away at the Number 1 contender until the referee manages to drag her away. This is the chance that Maryse needs and she kicks Kelly stiff in the gut before popping Kelly off into the ropes and hitting a spinning backbreaker to her opponent before ‘wiping’ off her hands to insult Kelly further. Maryse drops to her knees and clasps Kelly’s face hard as she talks derogatively to her whilst squeezing at her cheeks. Kelly squirms free but Maryse hits a spin kick to her as she attempts to get back up to a fighting position. With Kelly back down, Maryse mounts her and starts driving the back of her head into the mat over and over as she looks to wear her down further. Grabbing the hair, Maryse drags Kelly to her feet before hitting a Russian legsweep that drives Kelly face first into the mat. Maryse rolls Kelly over onto her back and arrogantly places her foot on Kelly’s stomach as the referee makes the count ...

1 ... 2 ... Maryse kicks out!

Maryse looks shocked as she gets quickly back to her feet and swings at Kelly again; K2 ducks and hits the ropes before hitting a clothesline to the Number 1 contender and the crowd rally behind Kelly as she looks for a big win. As Maryse looks to get up, Kelly uses stiff kicks to force Maryse back into the corner before hiking up her hot pants and performing the stinkface move to Maryse. Kelly milks the crowd before making her way onto the middle rope and then taking Maryse down with a bulldog. Kelly makes the cover, has she done enough?

1 ... 2 ... NO! Maryse kicks out again!

Kelly immediately looks to hit K-squared as she sets up but Maryse is too quick and she spins Kelly’s leg away. As Kelly spins round, Maryse hits a spinning kick to the side of Kelly’s head. Kelly crashes down to the mat and Maryse poses with her hands outstretched as if to say that it is all too easy. Boos are heard from the WWE Universe as she drags Kelly up once again and sets up for a DDT. Maryse flicks her hair around and hits the DDT ... FRENCH KISS FROM MARYSE! Kofi heads for the ring looking pumped up and ready to make a believer out of Big Show this time. As he climbs the ropes in the corner to salute the fans, the WWE Universe cheer Kingston and it is clear that they believe in him even if Big Show isn’t so sure!

MATCH 5 | SINGLES MATCH
BIG SHOW vs. KOFI KINGSTON

As last week, an even contest as the two friends – after a quick handshake in the centre of the ring before the bell – go at it as Kofi’s speed and agility matches up against the power and destruction of Big Show. The crowd are fully into the match, most of them behind Kofi but a good chunk of them rooting for Show as well, and it is full of highlights as Show narrowly misses with his Knockout Punch on several occasions as well as Kofi springboarding off the top ropes for a huge crossbody at one point to almost get the 3-count. However, the match is even, back and forth, until Big Show begins to show more signs of frustration at his inability to put Kofi down and keep him down. The match spills outside of the ring and the referee is eager to get both men back inside rather than count them out as the WWE Universe seem really into the match and are desperate to see a winner. Big Show tries to go for a Knockout Punch on the outside but Kofi manages to duck below his fist and avoid the contact, Kingston jumps onto the steel steps and looks for Trouble in Paradise but this time Show moves and Kofi fails. As Kofi spins back round, Big Show grabs him by the throat and looks set to smash Kofi into the announce table with a choke slam. Show lifts Kofi by the throat and is about to hit the choke slam when he regains his sense and control and lowers Kofi back down and releases him. Kofi looks up at the Giant warily and as the referee’s count reaches 7, he slides under the rope and into the ring. Show climbs into the ring as well and faces Kofi with a look of a man who came close to cracking there.

The match continues some more and it returns to the back and forth action of before until the referee unfortunately gets caught in the wrong place at the wrong moment. As Big Show looks to hit a huge shoulder block to Kofi, the Ghanaian ducks away and Show smashes into the referee and sends him down to the mat and under the bottom rope. Show looks concerned but then turns back towards Kofi who is recovering in the corner unaware of the referee’s plight. As Show heads towards Kofi with his hands up to explain about the referee, Kofi spins ... TROUBLE IN PARADISE! KOFI KINGSTON HITS TROUBLE IN PARADISE! Kofi hooks the leg of Big Show for the pinfall and the crowd count it out ...

1 ... 2 ... 3!

However, the referee doesn’t count it and Kofi jumps up in disbelief. He looks around for the referee and spots him outside the ring and realises what had happened. Kofi looks down at Show guiltily and realises that he was trying to tell him about the referee when he hit Trouble in Paradise. Kofi heads out and tries to revive the referee as Show groggily rolls out of the ring and under the bottom rope. Kofi is helping the referee up and helps him back into the ring before trying to get him back ready to call the rest of the match. However, Big Show is suddenly advancing on Kofi behind his back ... WITH A STEEL CHAIR! Big Show looks incensed over Kofi’s actions with the Trouble in Paradise kick and he is seething, spit flying away from his frothing mouth as he stands behind Kofi. The WWE Universe simultaneously try to persuade Show to leave it and tell Kofi that he is in danger. However, Kofi is unawares ...

BIG SHOW SMASHES THE CHAIR INTO THE BACK OF KOFI KINGSTON!

Loud boos emanate from the WWE Universe as Show angrily throws the chair under the rope and out of the ring. Still groggy from before, the referee missed the chair shot and the match is still ongoing. Big Show seems to consider his actions for a moment and then he begins to smirk and drags Kofi up from the ropes where he was recovering. Show grabs Kofi by the throat and roars which gets a negative response from the crowd for the first time in a long time. Show doesn’t care, he lifts Kingston high ... BIG SHOW WITH THE CHOKE SLAM! It appears that Show has made his choice here and has snapped after failing to put Kofi away legitimately before. Show looks down at Kofi who is grimacing in pain on the mat, holding his lower back where he landed from the Choke Slam and was hit hard with the steel chair. Show watches Kofi as he begins to slowly get to his feet and the referee watches as he becomes aware that something appears wrong with this. Show holds out his hand to Kofi and helps him back to his feet before Kofi suddenly snatches his hand away. Kofi lifts his head and looks incensed with Big Show now – he knows what happened there. Punk looks unfazed and he lifts the title off his shoulders and hands it to the timekeepers at ringside before the match can begin ...

MATCH 6 | SINGLES MATCH
CHRISTIAN vs. JOHN CENA

World Champion CM Punk as Special Guest Referee

CM Punk calls the match fair and square in the early stages and both Christian and Cena are slugging it out as they look to earn a momentum building victory heading into their respective Royal Rumble matches in two weeks time. Punk steps back at all times and watches the action, counts the pinfall attempts and does not get involved in any controversy at all. The first spell of dominance arrives when John Cena manages to choke Christian over the top rope with a move that could have led to a disqualification from some referees but not from CM Punk, the World Champion. Cena begins to pull out many of his big moves from his arsenal, a top rope leg drop to the back of Christian’s head seems to have Christian down and defeated and Cena hooks the leg ...

1 ... 2 ... Christian kicks out!

Christian rallies after that and he manages to catch Cena unaware with an uppercut punch from the outside as Cena leans out of the ring. This allows Christian to take Cena to the limits as he pounds away on him desperate to prove that his win last week was deserved and that he would be Number 1 contender without Randy Orton. Christian almost manages to hit the Killswitch on Cena at one stage but Cena wriggles clear and exits the ring for a break – something the 2010 John Cena would never have done! After taking some abuse from the WWE Universe at ringside, Cena taunts them by telling them they can’t see him before dragging Christian out of the ring by the foot in a cheap move while Christian was complaining to Punk. Christian is thrown hard into the barricades at ringside and Cena looks to win with a countout as he returns to the ring and allows Punk to make the count. As Punk reaches the count of 8, Christian wobbles towards the ring and rolls under the ropes to continue the match. Cena attacks and he has Christian down and in trouble as he hits some of his once revered moves despite the boos and jeers that now accompany them. Shoulder block, shoulder block and then a ‘You can’t see me!’ fist drop before he stands back ready to hit an Attitude Adjustment. The crowd are screaming at Christian to get out of the way but he gets groggily to his feet and Cena lifts him to his shoulders ... Christian wriggles clear and pops Cena off into the ropes but he is hit with another shoulder block as Cena regains control. Cena pounces on Christian and locks in the STF instead and Christian is in trouble. Punk drops to his knees and offers Christian the chance to tap out and give up but it appears the sight of the World Champion inspires Christian as he begins to fight and drag his way towards the ropes. With the crowd cheering him, Christian reaches the ropes and Punk forces Cena to break the hold to Cena’s dismay.

Cena isn’t happy and he confronts Punk over it; the World Champion points out that Christian reached the ropes and that he was the referee so he had to break the hold. Cena is unhappy and as he turns Christian almost locks in the Killswitch for a second time – but Cena reverses into a roll up ...

1 ... 2 ... Christian kicks out!

Christian is now back in the match and he hits Cena hard in the face before springboarding off the ropes and flipping Cena over, sunset flip into a pin ...

1 ... 2 ... Cena kicks out!

As Cena gets up, Christian twists him into place and hits a reverse DDT that crashes him down into the mat onto his back ...

1 ... 2 ... Cena kicks out!

Christian is building momentum here and he looks determined to get the win, to force Punk to count Cena’s shoulders down 1, 2, 3! Cena slithers out of the ring again but this time Christian climbs the ropes and delivers a plancha from the top rope that crashes Cena down on the floor outside the ring. Christian rolls Cena back into the ring and shoves him towards the centre before climbing up the ropes again ... Diving Headbutt from Christian! Has he done it?

1 ... 2 ... Cena kicks out at the last second!

Christian looks a little frustrated this time but regains his composure and stands back from Cena waiting for him to get to his feet. As Cena gets up, Christian jumps onto the middle rope, springboards off the rope and looks to hit a missile dropkick. However, Cena sees him coming and avoids the contact and Christian crashes down on the mat. Cena takes a second to recover and then grabs Christian ready for a suplex ... He hooks the leg and hits a Fisherman’s Suplex that leaves Christian down in a pin ...

MICK FOLEY
Wait a minute! Christian had the bottom rope!

As Cena rolls to the outside in celebration, Christian jumps to his feet and argues with Punk about his hand being on the ropes. CM Punk claims to have missed it and when the replays are shown, it appears that Punk is right, he never saw the hand on the rope. Christian, however, refuses to accept this and he continues to accuse Punk of deliberately costing him the match against Cena here tonight. Christian can clearly be heard to be accusing Punk of mind games ahead of their Royal Rumble match but Punk turns his back and heads over the ring to take his World Championship. As the belt is handed to him, Christian spins Punk back around and the belt falls to the mat. Christian shoves Punk hard in the chest and the tension rises between the World Champion and the Number 1 contender when suddenly John Cena slides back into the ring behind Christian. He spins Christian around and lifts him up onto his shoulder and is clearly setting up the Attitude Adjustment when Punk shoves Cena over instead. Punk grabs Christian who is disorientated and lifts him up ... GO TO SLEEP! Punk smirks a knowing smirk as the crowd jeer his actions and he then stands over Christian and signals that he is the World Champion. However, Punk is not finished yet as Cena is not impressed with being shoved over on his backside. Cena and Punk stare at each other and Cena points to the World Championship on the mat and then to himself while clearly informing CM Punk that he will see him at WrestleMania. Cena drops down and rolls out of the ring and backs away up the ramp as Punk picks up the title and stares out at Cena over the top rope as he leaves. Christian is slowly getting back to his feet though now and he grabs Punk unawares – KILLSWITCH! CHRISTIAN HITS THE KILLSWITCH TO CM PUNK! Christian stands over Punk and puts his foot on his chest and counts out ... 1 ... 2 ... 3! The WWE Universe cheer Christian as John Cena stands watching on the stage and SMACKDOWN ends with three of its top stars in confrontation over the biggest prize on the show ...

A recap video of last week’s RAW is played that reminds us of Randy Orton being banned from the 2011 Royal Rumble event for his interference in John Cena’s match on SMACKDOWNas well as the main event where Kurt Angle and the Number 1 contender, Triple H, met. With Angle needing to win to earn a place in a WWE Championship Triple Threat match at the Rumble, he appeared to have the match won with the Ankle Lock when former Nexus member Michael Tarver appeared in the arena. With the referee distracted, Wade Barrett was able to sneak in unnoticed – despite Nexus being banned from the match – and smash the WWE Championship over Angle to allow Triple H to pick up the win. The video ends with a confused looking Triple H stood with his arm raised and a furious Kurt Angle down and out on the mat seething with rage ...

Jim Ross and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler welcome everybody to RAW and hype up the fact that we are less than two weeks away from the 24th Royal Rumble where WWE Champion Wade Barrett will be facing Triple H. King also reminds everybody watching that, last week, the WWE owner, Chip Butty, punished Randy Orton for interfering in SMACKDOWN by banning him from competing in the Royal Rumble event – a decision which has attracted major levels of anger from the WWE Universe. JR announces that Chip Butty is scheduled to address the situation tonight here on RAW later ...

Major heat for the Nexus group who saunter out led by their leader, the WWE Champion Wade Barrett who has a huge grin on his face. He signals to the other four men, Ezekiel Jackson, Skip Sheffield, Heath Slater and David Otunga, to follow him to the ring and they willingly comply with his instruction. JR identifies to King that there is no sign of the man who ‘assisted’ Wade Barrett last week – Michael Tarver – and speculates as to whether or not he is to return to Nexus. As Nexus enter the ring, Barrett takes a microphone and stands facing the cameras whilst his four disciples stand behind him respectfully waiting to hear his words ...

WADE BARRETT
Now I don’t expect that any of you Memphis failures will understand how I’m feeling right now ...

Huge heat for the WWE Champion who insults Memphis within five minutes of the show starting ...

WADE BARRETT
... but let me guarantee you of something. I am feeling as good as you can possibly feel. I am the WWE Champion, I am just twelve weeks away from headlining WrestleMania 27 and securing my place in the annals of time.

Behind Barrett, David Otunga nods his head in agreement whilst Barrett looks round at the fans and smirks ...

Last week, Kurt Angle failed in his attempt to earn a place in the WWE Championship match in two weeks at the Royal Rumble. He was unable to defeat Triple H ...

More boos again as Barrett appears to have forgotten how Kurt Angle was defeated last week ...

WADE BARRETT
On the other hand, whilst my Royal Rumble opponent, Triple H, was busy in a hard-fought match last Monday night, I was resting after RAW General Manager, Shawn Michaels, gave Nexus and myself the night off. With two weeks left until the Royal Rumble, I could put my feet up and watch RAW from the comfort of my own living room ...

Huge jeers for Barrett’s lies ...

WADE BARRETT
What I saw was Kurt Angle fail yet again, another shot at a WWE Championship opportunity and another failure. Like I told you all in the weeks before Vengeance, Kurt Angle is a washed up has-been. He has no right to challenge for my WWE Championship. Since he returned, General Manager Michaels has given him favourable opportunity after favourable opportunity and he still fails to get the job done.

A loud ‘USA!’ chant begins in support of Kurt ...

WADE BARRETT
It’s funny you should mention that ... The United States of America, the ‘Land of the Free’ and the ‘Land of Opportunity’ ... How many opportunities does Kurt Angle need? Just because he runs around in red, white and blue, you American morons think that he deserves another shot?

Barrett looks out questionably to the WWE Universe ...

WADE BARRETT

Another chant begins to build as the Memphis crowd chant ‘You Suck!’ at Barrett and his team-mates ...

The ‘You Suck!’ chant continues to gain pace ... Barrett shakes his head in apparent embarrassment at the WWE Universe ...

WADE BARRETT
Kurt Angle has wasted every opportunity that Shawn Michaels has handed him and it is time to say that enough is enough. Michaels, it is time to fire the so-called ‘American Hero’ and focus on the real ‘WWE heroes’ that you have here in the Nexus.

WADE BARRETT
The Nexus told you months ago that the ‘winds of change’ were blowing and we meant it. In two weeks time, at the Royal Rumble, I will show the world that another one of your legends has no right to be in the ring with me – Triple H. Because, at the end of the day, you’re either Nexus ...

Hunter is dressed in a smart shirt and trousers and he decides, wisely, to remain on the stage rather than head down to the ring where there are five members of Nexus waiting for him. Triple H has a microphone and he signals for his music to be quietened ...

TRIPLE H
Have you finished, Wade?

Cheers for Triple H as Barrett looks up towards him disgusted ...

TRIPLE H
I’ll make this short for you. Kurt Angle is a guy who I respect. You like to talk about the impact that the Nexus and Wade Barrett have made in the WWE, what about the impact that Kurt Angle has had on wrestling? Not just the WWE, on wrestling. In 1996, Kurt Angle won the Olympic Gold Medal. In his first year in the WWE, he won every major championship. I’ve had my problems with Kurt over the years but he deserves respect.

Applause from the WWE Universe as Barrett continues to look on disgusted by the comments ...

TRIPLE H
Last week, I defeated Kurt Angle and as a result he will not compete in the WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble. That was my intention, I want a one on one contest at Royal Rumble so that I can take that WWE Championship away from you.

Barrett shakes his head at this idea ...

TRIPLE H
Oh, I will win it, Wadey boy. However, the fact remains that Kurt Angle was screwed. I didn’t know it at the time but I was helped to victory wasn’t I, Wade?

Triple H signals to the titantron and a replay of the ending of the main event last week is played showing Michael Tarver and Wade Barrett’s interference ...

TRIPLE H
Oh, wait, wait ... You were at home with your feet up, weren’t you?

Laughs from the WWE Universe as Triple H mocks Barrett for his lies ...

TRIPLE H
So, I got here tonight, Wade, and the first person I visited was Shawn Michaels. I told him that he needed to do the right thing and make tonight’s main event a rematch ... Kurt Angle vs. Triple H, if Kurt wins, he will be in the WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble. I do not want him in the match but I want to beat him fair and square without no help from morons like you.

Barrett and Nexus look annoyed with Triple H’s comments and Barrett has to hold back Jackson and Sheffield who make to go after Triple H ...

WADE BARRETT
And let me guess? Shawn Michaels agreed with you?

Triple H nods his head and the main event for tonight is clear ... Triple H vs. Kurt Angle!

WADE BARRETT
What a surprise! The ‘old pals’ act strikes again. You’re all the same, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels. You’ve all seen your careers dwindle away but you all want one last shot at fame and fortune. You use your influence around here to make sure that you get it whilst holding down the new generation. Quite frankly, Hunter, it’s pathetic.

More agreement from the Nexus who nods their heads and applaud Barrett’s comments ...

TRIPLE H
Wade, I will show you at the Royal Rumble that my career is not dwindling away. I am a legitimate contender for your WWE Championship, I intend to win the title and go to WrestleMania in twelve weeks time as the WWE Champion.

Loud cheers for this idea from the WWE Universe ...

TRIPLE H
But tonight, Kurt Angle deserves a fair chance to earn himself the same opportunity. He deserves chance to prove his claims to the WWE Championship are legitimate as well. So tonight, it will be Triple H vs. Kurt Angle and if, and it is a big if, if Kurt wins, he will join us at the Rumble.

Triple H smirks ...

TRIPLE H
And though the match was my idea, Shawn had an idea of his own. In order to stop any interference from Nexus or anybody else, tonight’s match will be ... a Lumberjack match!

Morrison hands over his shades to a fan at ringside and then heads into the ring where Riley, Sheamus and Bryan await him as the first match of the night is set to begin.

MATCH 1 | FATAL 4-WAY MATCH
ALEX RILEY vs. DANIEL BRYAN vs. JOHN MORRISON vs. SHEAMUS

A fast paced and action packed opening match of the night as four of Monday Night RAW’s brightest prospects go at it looking to gain a major momentum boost ahead of the Royal Rumble event that will follow in 13 days time. Unfortunately for Riley, he appears to be the guy with a target on his back when he is hit with all three of the other competitors’ finish moves in quick succession in a crazy minute – first, with Sheamus and Bryan fighting on the outside, Morrison manages to take Riley down in the corner and hits STARSHIP PAIN to the former running buddy of Miz. As Morrison makes the cover though, Sheamus manages to shove Bryan into the steel ring steps outside and he charges over and pulls Morrison out of the ring to break the count. Morrison is sent back first into the barricades by the Celtic Warrior and then he slides into the ring and waits for Riley to get to his feet ... BROGUE KICK! SHEAMUS HITS THE BROGUE KICK! Sheamus hooks the leg of Riley and the referee makes the count as Daniel Bryan climbs to the top rope in the corner. Bryan sails off the top rope and just as the referee is set to count three, he connects to Sheamus’ back with a diving headbutt that breaks that count as well. Sheamus rolls away and Bryan grabs the prone Alex Riley ... LE BELL LOCK! BRYAN HAS THE LE BELL LOCK ON RILEY! Alex Riley squirms in pain for a moment and it appears he is about to tap out when Hornswoggle appears in the ring. Sheamus’ sidekick rushes towards Riley and Bryan and the referee jumps to his feet to stop Hornswoggle interfering. With the referee’s back turned, he misses Riley tapping out to the Le Bell Lock and this allows Sheamus time to connect with Daniel Bryan’s head with another stiff kick. Hornswoggle now decides to obey the instruction of the official and he returns to the outside of the ring as Sheamus stands over Riley ready to finish the match. However, the return to the ring of John Morrison prevents this and the match continues with the pair of them brawling.

As the match continues, Daniel Bryan and Alex Riley manage to get back into the contest and almost gets the win when he breaks up Bryan’s Le Bell Lock on Morrison. He clotheslines Bryan over the top rope and then pounces on Morrison who is pretty jaded after being held in Bryan’s submission hold. Riley hooks the leg of the Monday Night Delight and the referee makes the count ...

1 ... 2 ... Morrison kicks out!

Riley holds his head in shock and this allows Sheamus to re-enter the ring and start hitting him with clubbing forearm thumps across the chest through the ropes. Riley staggers around in the ring and Sheamus then takes him down with the Irish Curse Backbreaker. In pain, Riley writhes around and out of the ring under the bottom rope. Sheamus’ attention returns to Morrison but Bryan re-enters the ring and comes charging at the Irishman with a forearm of his own. Bryan beats down on Sheamus in the corner but the monstrous Celtic Warrior manages to shove Bryan away and then hits a huge BROGUE KICK that flattens the former United States Champion. With Bryan down and seemingly out, Sheamus picks him up and signals that it is over for him as he sets him up ... CELTIC CROSS! SHEAMUS HITS THE CELTIC CROSS – IT’S OVER! Sheamus makes the cover on Daniel Bryan ...

1 ... 2 ... Morrison rescues Bryan with a dropkick to Sheamus!

Sheamus is dazed as he turns around shocked as he lays on the mat ... RUNNING KNEE STRIKE FROM MORRISON TO SHEAMUS! The crowd go wild as Morrison takes Sheamus down. Morrison hits another low drop kick to Bryan as he tries to pull himself up at the ropes and sends him crashing through the ropes to the outside before turning back to Sheamus who is laid out in the corner of the ring. The crowd go mad as they realise what is coming next ... STARSHIP PAIN! MORRISON HITS STARSHIP PAIN TO SHEAMUS! Cover from John Morrison ...

Sheamus kicks out at the ropes as he shows his annoyance and Morrison exits the arena. Alex Riley tries to roll under the bottom rope and out but the angry Irish man notices thanks to Hornswoggle. Sheamus grabs Riley and drags him to the centre of the ring before hitting another Irish Curse backbreaker that leaves Riley squirming in pain. The WWE Universe jeer Sheamus’ actions – although they have little love for Riley either – but he continues by dragging him up and setting him up for the Celtic Cross ... SHEAMUS SMASHES RILEY DOWN HARD INTO THE MAT. Sheamus thumps his chest in defiance despite the defeat and he signals that he will win the Rumble in Cleveland in two weeks time, JR suggests that an angry Sheamus might be bad news for the other men in the Royal Rumble!

The camera switches backstage where we see the Rated R Superstar Edge walking down a corridor looking for somebody. He spots the door marked RAW GENERAL MANAGER and he heads that way. Without knocking, Edge walks into the office where Shawn Michaels is sat with a concerned Chip Butty deep in discussion. Both the RAW General Manager and the WWE owner look up annoyed at the interruption before raising from their chairs and moving towards the door ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
Whatever decision you make, Chip, I’ll support it. I understand your dilemma. Let me know as soon as you’ve made your mind up.

CHIP BUTTY
I think I’ve made my mind up, Shawn. Will let you know later.

Chip Butty shakes hands with the RAW General Manager and he turns to Edge, quick glance and a nod of the head before heading out of the door. HBK closes the door behind the owner and then turns around to face Edge with a look of annoyance still in his eyes.

SHAWN MICHAELS
Don’t you know how to knock, Edge? You just interrupted an important conversation, this better be worth it.

Edge smiles and sits down on the couch with a look of satisfaction on his face ...

EDGE
Oh, Shawn, it is important. You see, I have a huge proposition for you.

HBK looks intrigued and he heads over to sit opposite Edge ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
OK, let’s hear it. What is this huge proposition?

Edge leans forward as he looks to pitch his idea to the RAW General Manager ...

EDGE
Shawn, for the past few months, it is no secret that you and I have not been getting along too well. When you were sitting behind a laptop, firing out orders via email, you put me in some unfair situations. I took revenge on you by costing RAW a victory at the Survivor Series – and costing you John Cena in the process. You and me are like chalk and cheese, we’re just different, a clash of personalities.

HBK nods his head in apparent agreement ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
Go on ...

EDGE
Shawn, we have had major problems over the past few weeks and months. Things are not getting any better. Last week, you gave Sheamus a match to earn himself a place in the Royal Rumble and you completely ignored my claims to have my own Royal Rumble qualifier. It is clear to me that you will never ever treat me in a fair and impartial way, Shawn. It’s time for this to end.

HBK looks quizzically towards Edge and shifts in his seat ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
How do you intend we do that?

Edge takes a deep breath before continuing ...

EDGE
I propose that at the Royal Rumble, Shawn, you come out of retirement for one night only. Come out of retirement for one night and face me, the Rated R Superstar, one on one. Let’s finish this, Shawn. What do you say?

HBK smiles at the thought of facing Edge and laughs to himself as he considers it for a moment. However, as the WWE Universe outside in the arena chant ‘One more match!’ and try to persuade Shawn to accept Edge’s challenge, HBK shakes his head at Edge.

SHAWN MICHAELS
Edge, when I lost to Undertaker at WrestleMania 26, I retired. Right now, I am the General Manager of RAW and I have no intention of facing you at the Royal Rumble. I am going to concentrate all my energies on running RAW to the best of my ability, I’m not interested in facing you at the Rumble.

Edge looks disappointed and he shakes his head in annoyance ...

EDGE
Surely the great Shawn Michaels, the Heart Break Kid himself, the Showstopper, Mr. WrestleMania ... surely HBK is not turning down the chance to prove himself to be the better man one more time?

HBK laughs again ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
Stop there, Edge, I know what you’re trying to do. There is no way that I am going to face you at the Rumble. End of story, man. But I am going to be fair tonight. Last week, I didn’t give you chance to earn your spot in the Rumble match – but I will do tonight. Tonight, it will be the Rated R Superstar Edge ... against Rob Van Dam!

Edge looks taken aback but accepts the challenge with good grace ...

EDGE
Thanks for that, Shawn. Tonight, I will defeat RVD and earn my Royal Rumble spot.

An uneasy handshake follows and Edge gets up to leave when HBK stops him. Edge turns to HBK and looks confused ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
By the way, Edge. Don’t blow it.

Edge looks annoyed by this comment and he turns and leaves the General Manager office to head out to the locker room to prepare for the match later tonight. JR and King remind the world that Edge won the 2010 Royal Rumble and that, if he can win tonight, he would be a huge threat to the other 29 men in the match and a real favourite to win. The cameras switch to Sheamus who is storming around the backstage area kicking things over and shouting at Hornswoggle in temper ...

JOSH MATHEWS
Sheamus, Sheamus, can I have a word?

Sheamus turns to face the interviewer with a look of fury in his eyes ... Mathews seems to regret asking but continues on to ask the question he wants answered ...

JOSH MATHEWS
Sheamus, we just saw you defeated by John Morrison out there. Do you think that Morrison could be a danger to you in the 2011 Royal Rumble in two weeks time?

Sheamus’ eyes bulge out of their sockets as his temper boils again. He gets close to the face of Mathews and intimidates the interviewer before answering in a chilling, dark voice ...

SHEAMUS

You shouldn’t worry yourself about whether he can win the Royal Rumble, fella, you should worry about whether or not he will make the Royal Rumble. John Morrison will pay for his actions tonight ...

MATCH 2 | NON-TITLE MATCH
JUSTIN GABRIEL vs. TED DIBIASE

Gabriel and DiBiase, as they have been for the past few weeks, are evenly matched as they look to build their momentum. Gabriel wants to get the win that sees of DiBiase once and for all, DiBiase wants a win to invigorate his own US Championship aspirations. The pair of them go at it in a back and forth contest but it begins to settle down once DiBiase gets control with a thumb to the eye that throws Gabriel off and allows the Fortunate Son to toss him through the ropes to the outside. DiBiase waits for Gabriel to get back into the ring and then stomps on the back of the US Champion and takes charge of the contest. DiBiase dominates for a while and looks to be getting close to hitting DreamStreet and securing the victory when Gabriel suddenly ducks a clothesline and hits a standing drop kick to buy him some time. The South African is first up and he hits a series of kicks to the side of DiBiase and then follows up with an inverted DDT where he drops the elbow across his opponent’s chest as well – the Gabriel Special. Gabriel steps back and allows DiBiase back to his feet after getting a 2-count ... Springboarding off the ropes, Gabriel uses a sunset flip to take DiBiase down again ... 2! Gabriel is getting the cheers now and he is quick to his feet where he looks for a discus elbow smash but DiBiase ducks underneath ... kick to the gut from DiBiase, DDT to Gabriel!

DiBiase whips Gabriel into the ropes now and as he comes back, he lifts him up looking for a sit out spinebuster ... However, Gabriel manages to reverse this and turns it into a Hurricanrana! The crowd go wild as Gabriel hooks the legs for the win ...

1 ... 2 ... DiBiase kicks out!

Gabriel is frustrated but he continues on and hits an Enzuguri to DiBiase to take him down again and this time he is positioned close enough to the corner for Gabriel’s liking! The crowd realise what is on the US Champion’s mind as he looks to the buckles and smiles and they cheer him loudly. Gabriel climbs up the ropes on the outside and positions himself on the top rope ready to somersault and hit his big finishing move. GABRIEL GOES FOR THE 450 SPLASH ... BUT MISSES! TED DIBIASE (8:25)

JR and King discuss the impressive victory that Ted DiBiase just pulled out and they suggest that this should now lead to a United States Championship match in the near future ... As they discuss this, DiBiase grabs the US Championship from the referee as he looks to return it to Gabriel. He stands in front of Gabriel and he places the title belt on his shoulder to jeers from the WWE Universe. Gabriel slowly gets to his feet and he steps forward and demands that DiBiase hands back his title. DiBiase does just that and hands it to the South African ... and then catches him by surprise with a punch to the face of Gabriel. Stunned, Gabriel drops the belt and spins round ... DREAM STREET! DIBIASE HITS DREAM STREET TO GABRIEL AGAIN! The crowd rain down abuse on DiBiase as he picks up the title belt again and places it back on his shoulder. He taunts the crowd a little by posing with the title before removing it and setting himself to rush at Gabriel and hit him with the belt. The referee pleads with DiBiase to leave it but he is shoved through the ropes by DiBiase instead. He then grabs DiBiase and he sets him up for a suplex crashing him down onto his back hard. Bryan then locks in the Le Bell Lock and he wrenches back on the lower back of DiBiase who taps out. Holding the move for a few seconds, Bryan eventually releases the hold and then encourages the champion to go up top and hit the 450 Splash as well. Positioning DiBiase near the corner, Bryan points to Gabriel to go up top ... but Gabriel refuses, picks up his title and heads out of the ring. Owner of the WWE
CHIP BUTTY

As RAW returns, the owner of the WWE begins to make his way down to the ring with a serious look on his face. King speculates that he is out here to address the issue that he was speaking with HBK about earlier tonight and says that it must be important if Butty is willing to interrupt a RAW broadcast to announce it. Butty steps between the ropes and asks for a microphone before standing centre of the ring ready to speak ...

CHIP BUTTY
Two weeks ago on Friday Night SMACKDOWN, John Cena and Christian met in a Number 1 contender match to determine the challenger to World Champion CM Punk at Royal Rumble. Despite several warnings to the contrary, Randy Orton decided to appear on SMACKDOWN and he attacked Cena and cost him the match. Although the decision was taken by Michael Cole that Christian would remain the Number 1 contender, John Cena demanded that punishment for Randy Orton was enforced and last week I came to RAW and announced that Mr. Orton would not be allowed to appear at the Rumble in any way, shape or form.

Boos from the WWE Universe who are upset that Orton will not be on the PPV ...

CHIP BUTTY
However, since making that announcement, the WWE Board of Directors have been inundated with complaints and demands for Orton to be allowed to compete. Many people have gotten together petitions stating that they will not be ordering the Royal Rumble pay-per-view unless Mr. Orton be allowed to compete. A major sponsor also contacted us and informed us that unless Mr. Orton was reinstated to the pay-per-view, they would withdraw their sponsorship of the event and would consider whether they wished to be involved with the WWE in the future.

Butty pauses for a moment and takes a deep breath. He looks reluctant but carries on ...

CHIP BUTTY
Nothing is more important to me than the balance sheets ...

Loud boos for this statement ...

CHIP BUTTY
... so I have been reluctantly forced to consider whether or not my suspension of Orton from the Royal Rumble event was the right decision. In order to maximise the profits of the show, I have made the decision that Randy Orton will be allowed to compete ...

The crowd cheer the decision even though the motives are somewhat questionable ...

CHIP BUTTY
However, there is further news for Orton. He will only be allowed to compete in the Royal Rumble match, he will not be going one on one with John Cena. He is banned from making any contact with Mr. Cena unless it is during the Royal Rumble match at a time when both men are active participants. If Randy Orton interferes with John Cena at any other point during the pay-per-view, I will personally terminate his contract with the WWE.

Boos for this announcement ...

CHIP BUTTY
I hope that this is a satisfactory conclusion to the whole business and that the people who complained and threatened to boycott the pay-per-view have been appeased as a result. Thank you for your time, enjoy the rest of the show.

’Poppiholla’ plays again as Butty hands his microphone back to the timekeeper before exiting the ring and heading out of the arena back to the backstage area. JR and King discuss the announcement and King says that he is delighted that Randy Orton will be in the Royal Rumble as that increases RAW’s chances of victory. JR turns his attention towards the upcoming match where another RAW wrestler will guarantee their spot in the Rumble but will it be Edge or will it be RVD?

King says he thinks that Edge will be able to win again tonight and secure his spot in the Rumble ...

MATCH 3 | SINGLES MATCH
EDGE vs. RVD

An entertaining match as RVD and Edge throw everything at each other to try and secure their Royal Rumble places and therefore the WWE Universe are entertained fully. Edge spends most of the early stages in control after he hangs RVD up on the top rope with a flapjack that grounds the unorthodox high flier. However, Edge gets over-confident and he ends up missing an attempt at a Spear and runs shoulder first into the turnbuckles and through to the steel post. A bone-crunching crack is heard as Edge hits the post and this gives RVD time to recover. Edge manages to peel himself away from the turnbuckles and he looks to get back in control of RVD but Van Dam manages to hit a low spin kick that trips Edge over and grounds him on his back. RVD leaps onto the top turnbuckle and then hits a diving kick to the chest of Edge and makes the cover as he looks to secure his Rumble place ...

1 ... 2 ... Kick out from Edge!

RVD quickly runs to the ropes and then rolls back across the ring and somersaulting onto the chest of the Rated R Superstar with Rolling Thunder ... RVD makes another cover ...

1 ... 2 ... Edge kicks out again!

RVD is throwing all his best offence at Edge now and he comes off the ropes to hitting a spinning wheel kick that sends Edge down once more. A scoop slam follows and RVD has Edge laid on the mat in position for a springboard moonsault ... unfortunately for RVD, Edge manages to get his knees tucked up and RVD lands hard on these to the dismay of the fans. Edge tries to take advantage and he hooks the leg of RVD as he squirms on the mat for a cover ...

1 ... 2 ... Kick out from RVD!

As both men get to their feet, it is Edge who appears the fresher and he manages to kick Rob in the stomach before going for the Edgecution DDT ... RVD counters though and twists out of the move before attempting a Northern Lights Suplex ... Edge counters this as well and shakes off RVD before finally connecting with the DDT from before and making a cover. Unfortunately for Edge, RVD grabs hold of the bottom rope and the referee never makes a pinfall count as a result. Edge looks annoyed and drags RVD into the centre of the ring instead to make the cover ...

1 ... 2 ... RVD kicks out easily!

Edge climbs out of the ring and up the buckles in the corner and sets himself as RVD struggles to his feet in the ring. Edge balances and then sets himself before sailing off the top ropes towards RVD and hitting a perfect diving drop kick that connects hard with RVD’s chest and sends him spinning through the ropes to the outside. Edge stalks after RVD and slams him hard into the barricades before rolling his opponent back into the ring. It appears that Edge has control and is on his way to victory as he slides into the ring on the opposite side and begins to bounce on his toes in the corner whilst daring RVD to get to his feet. As RVD slowly does get up, the crowd chant ‘Spear! Spear!’ ready for Edge’s finishing move ... However, the crowd possibly give the move away to RVD as he appears to be ready for it. As Edge rushes over at RVD as he turns round, RVD uses a drop toe hold to take him down and then he rolls him up for a quick surprise pinfall ...

1 ... 2 ... A shocked Edge kicks out just in time!

RVD and Edge both jump to their feet quickly and it is Edge who swings a clothesline at RVD. Van Dam ducks below his arm and uses another Spin Kick to take Edge down. RVD cartwheels off the ropes into a Handstand Splash that squashes Edge down on the mat once again. Sensing victory, RVD looks over to the top ropes and the crowd cheer as he leaps up onto the top rope ready. The crowd rise to their feet, here goes RVD ... FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! NOOOOO, EDGE MOVES OUT OF THE WAY! A staggering Edge gets to his feet as RVD does, clutching his stomach, and the pair of them both swing clotheslines – this time, they both connect and both men are down and out as the referee begins a count. As he reaches 7, Edge and RVD both start to get to their knees and use each other to help themselves up. The referee ends his count with both men getting up and Edge takes advantage of the referee being slightly out of position ... LOW BLOW FROM EDGE! RVD falls down to the mat in intense pain that only men know as Edge makes a cover ...

1 ... 2 ... Weak kick out from RVD!

Edge retreats back to the corner and starts calling out to RVD to get back to his feet ... Up gets RVD, slowly and wincing in pain from the low blow, spins round ... SPEAR! EDGE HITS THE SPEAR! Edge hooks the leg of RVD ...

HBK quickly checks on RVD who is just getting to his feet before beginning his announcement ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
Can I see a replay of the end of that match please?

Edge looks a little worried as HBK demands a replay to be shown on the titantron. The replay begins and it shows Edge clearly using the low blow to throw RVD off course and then he hits him with the spear for the 1, 2, 3. Edge looks guilty as HBK looks towards him disappointed ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
Edge, Edge, Edge, you disappoint me. Despite the problems we have had over recent months, I gave you an opportunity tonight to earn your spot in the Royal Rumble match. All you had to do was to come out here and beat RVD and your spot in the Rumble was guaranteed.

HBK shakes his head as if pained by Edge’s actions ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
You are a nine time champion here in the WWE, last year you won the Royal Rumble, you have numerous Tag Team and Intercontinental Championships to your name, there is no doubt, Edge, that you are one of the greatest that the WWE has ever seen. But tonight, you won with a low blow, Edge, I will not stand by and allow that to happen. Therefore, I am reversing the referee’s decision ...

SHAWN MICHAELS

SHAWN MICHAELS

Next week, I will give you one last chance, Edge. If you win your match, you will be in the Rumble. But you’d better earn it, Edge, you won’t cheat your way in.

HBK tosses the microphone away and raises RVD’s hand again and ‘One of a Kind’ plays as RVD is left to celebrate his win and his place in the 2011 Royal Rumble. However, the man who won the 2010 Rumble looks none too impressed as he furiously tries to protest to HBK over his reversal of the decision. RAW returns with the grinning face of Josh Mathews on camera as he prepares to introduce his guest for the next interview on RAW ...

JOSH MATHEWS
Ladies and Gentlemen, earlier this evening we heard from the WWE owner, Chip Butty, as he declared that Randy Orton would be allowed to compete in the Royal Rumble match in two weeks time after a number of financial threats and protests from the WWE Universe. With that being said, please welcome my guest at this time ... THE VIPER ... RANDY ORTON!

Big cheers for Orton as he comes into view on the camera ...

JOSH MATHEWS
Randy, you have been given a fresh chance to compete in the Royal Rumble in two weeks time. However, Chip Butty has made it clear that you should only come in contact with John Cena if it is during the Rumble match itself. With the threat of being fired from the WWE if you break this rule, what will be your focus in two weeks time in Cleveland, Ohio?

Orton considers his response for a moment before answering ...

RANDY ORTON
Josh, it is well known fact that I have had a few, let’s say, anger management problems down the years here in the WWE. And in the past few weeks, the anger I have built up inside me towards John Cena has reached previously unheard of levels. If I had my way, I would grab hold of Cena the next time I saw him, hit him over and over and over again with RKO’s ... and then punt him so hard in the head that he would forget every title reign he has ever had here in the WWE.

Loud cheers from the WWE Universe as they show their support for Orton getting his own back on Cena ...

RANDY ORTON
However, I have to face facts. Two weeks ago, on SMACKDOWN, I interfered in Cena’s Number 1 contender match and I cost him the World Championship opportunity he believes he deserved. It felt good, Josh ... but I had been warned to stay away from SMACKDOWN. I put my career in jeopardy because I could not control my anger. I was lucky to retain my job and I’ve been lucky to be given a place in the Royal Rumble. I have to get control over this anger and focus on what I can achieve over the coming weeks. I could continue to stalk John Cena and get fired from the WWE ... or I could focus on winning the 2011 Royal Rumble, going to WrestleMania and regaining my WWE Championship on the grandest stage of them all.

More cheers for Orton’s comments and an RKO chant goes up in the arena ...

RANDY ORTON
So, you ask, Josh, what will be my focus? Winning the Royal Rumble.

More cheers and Orton nods his head at the thought ...

RANDY ORTON
But I know what you’re going to ask next, Josh. How will I feel? How will I feel if I pass Cena in the backstage in Cleveland? How will I feel if I enter the Rumble just as Cena has been eliminated? The fact is that I could meet Cena in Cleveland and have to ignore the urge to beat him to a bloody pulp. I have to control my anger ...

Mathews continues to listen intently as Orton tries to justify his thoughts heading towards the Rumble ...

RANDY ORTON
But there is another possibility for the Royal Rumble. I could end up in the same ring, the same match, at the same time as John Cena.

Huge cheers at the prospect of this ...

RANDY ORTON
If that happens, Josh, Cena will be in big trouble. Simply throwing Cena over the top rope will not be enough for me, I want to destroy him and end his career whilst winning the Royal Rumble. After I have punted Cena in the head, I will throw him out over the top rope and go on to win the Rumble. So if I see Cena before then, that is what I will envisage in my mind. That is a vision that intrigues me, that is a vision that would satisfy the anger inside of me right now. John Cena better hope and pray that he is eliminated from the Rumble before me – because I will win the Rumble ... and if I come up against Cena, he will be in grave danger.

Huge cheers for Orton but his look of focused rage disappears as something catches his eye. Orton turns around and faces up to the man who holds the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase, The Miz. Miz looks confused at Orton’s comments ...

THE MIZ
Really? Really? Really? Orton, I don’t know what delusional thoughts there are in that psychotic mind of yours but let me tell you something! I will be the one who wins the 2011 Royal Rumble in my home town of Cleveland, Ohio. I am the man who will head onwards to WrestleMania 27 to win the WWE Championship. And if – and it is a big if – if I fail, I will simply use my insurance policy here ...

Miz holds his briefcase up for Orton to see ...

THE MIZ
You see, Orton, you seem to think the world cares about your stupid, little feud with John Cena. Cena, the man who ran away to the ‘B’ show, and you, a man who cannot control his temper. Look at you, you can’t control it. You want to swing for me right now, don’t you? You want to RKO me right now, don’t you?

Miz goads Orton who looks conflicted between the desire to not get into more trouble and the desire to ram Miz’ teeth down his throat ...

THE MIZ
That’s it Randy, be a good boy. A wise move. The fact is, Orton, you are not going to be the WWE Champion again for an awful long time. Heading out of WrestleMania 27, I guarantee that the only man that people will be speaking about is the most must-see WWE superstar of all time ... The man who tonight will defeat you and prove to the world that you are simply not in my league as we head towards the Rumble. And that man, Randy, is me ... Because I’m the Miz ... and I’m ...

Orton suddenly takes a threatening step towards Miz who retreats quickly and drops the microphone to the floor ... However, Orton doesn’t follow up, he just wanted to give Miz a warning. He smiles and chuckles to himself before addressing Miz ...

RANDY ORTON
Miz, I can do what I want out there in the ring. And you’ve just made a very big mistake ... I’ll see you in the ring ... for an ... R ... K ... O!

A big cheer for Orton as he steps away smirking at Miz who looks furious at being shown up by Orton here ... The camera switches to HBK who is back in the General Manager office when Michelle McCool walks in with Kharma behind her. McCool looks excited as she taps HBK on the shoulder ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
Good evening, Miss McCool, what can I do for you?

Michelle, looking a little fake, smiles at HBK and it is clear that she is about to butter him up again like she did last week on RAW ...

MICHELLE McCOOL
Hi Shawn ... I just wondered if there was any news for me? Anything you might want to let me know?

SHAWN MICHAELS
Any news for you? About what?

Michelle appears to be angered by this for a second until it dawns on HBK what she is talking about ...

SHAWN MICHAELS
Oh right, yeah I remember. Your proposition for WrestleMania! I remember now.

McCool looks at Shawn a little impatiently ...

MICHELLE McCOOL
So? Any news?

SHAWN MICHAELS
Slow it down, Michelle. I told you last week to focus on your work in the ring and that I would let you know when I heard anything, didn’t I? As it happens, I did make a phone call or two for you but I’ve not heard a response yet. But don’t worry, I’m on the case, I will keep trying over the coming days. You have my word.

Michelle looks disappointed but she nods her head to Shawn and then beckons Kharma to leave as JR and King speculate over what McCool is wanting from HBK regarding WrestleMania as the camera returns to the ring for the next match ...

WADE BARRETT
Michael Tarver, a blast from the past. I’ve been waiting for you to arrive here tonight.

Tarver extends his hand and Barrett – reluctantly at first, it seems – shakes it. Barrett continues to speak ...

WADE BARRETT
Look, Tarver, I just wanted to thank you for that little favour you did for me last week on RAW. It’s good to know that even though you are no longer a member of the Nexus, you’re still Nexus when it matters.

Tarver looks unimpressed though and decides to respond ...

MICHAEL TARVER
That’s an interesting way of looking at things, Wade. Because let me assure you that I am not Nexus anymore. Last week, you used me by getting your guys here to text me and encourage me to cause the distraction. I thought that you wanted to bring me back to Nexus but it now is clear that you just wanted to find some sucker to do your dirty work.

Well, well, well, Tarver, it appears you have found some brains from somewhere. You’ve finally realised that ...

MICHAEL TARVER
SHUT UP! I wasn’t finished, Wade, I don’t follow your orders no more!

The other members of Nexus appear on Barrett’s shoulders but the WWE Champion assures them that he can handle the situation by waving them to stand down ...

MICHAEL TARVER
Your real reason for calling me to see you here tonight is that you know that I am one of the Lumberjacks in the upcoming match between Triple H and Kurt Angle. What you wanted to do was convince me to ensure that Angle failed to win the match tonight so that you would only have Triple H at the Rumble. Am I right?

Barrett looks found out as he smirks at Tarver ...

MICHAEL TARVER
I thought so. Well, I have news for you, Barrett. The time for Michael Tarver doing Nexus’ dirty work is over. My new focus is on my own career and how I can get moving here in the WWE. So I made a few calls and spoke with Chip Butty and it appears that there is a place for me in the new Tag Team division. So I found myself a new partner ...

Into shot walks an unknown guy with a disgusted look on his face who looks to weigh over 300 pounds ...

MICHAEL TARVER
This, Wade, is Husky Harris. He is the son of former WWE great, Irwin R. Schyster, he is my new Tag Team partner and together we will dominate the Tag Team division in 2011. So, next time you need a favour, do me a favour, Wade. Don’t call me!

The cameras return to ringside and JR and King hype up the main event, Kurt Angle vs. Triple H. If Angle wins, he will be placed into the WWE Championship match between Barrett and Hunter to make it a Triple Threat. King suggests that Triple H doesn’t want this to be a Triple Threat match but he asked for Angle to be given this chance after Nexus – with help from Michael Tarver – managed to screw Angle out of his chance. Barrett, with WWE Championship over his shoulder, heads out into the arena and immediately the lumberjacks begin to prepare to throw the champion back out of the arena. However, Barrett has a microphone and he signals for his music to be faded out ...

WADE BARRETT
Relax, guys, relax. I have permission to be out here from the RAW General Manager, Shawn Michaels. He says that as long as I do not interfere in the match in any way, I can come out and sit at the announce table. However, he also says I must come along with none of my Nexus team and he also says that if I interfere, you guys may throw me out of the arena head first.

The RAW superstars eye Barrett suspiciously for a moment but then part to allow him to make his way through to the ring. There is a high moment of tension as Barrett stops in front of former WWE Champion Randy Orton where he smirks and raises the WWE Championship up high. Orton almost snaps at Barrett but a quick thinking Justin Gabriel holds Orton back and reminds him to stay out of trouble for now. Orton backs down and Barrett, smirking wildly, moves on to join King and JR at ringside to call the match. JR welcomes Barrett to the announce desk but King is a little rude to the WWE Champion as he refuses to acknowledge him due to the way in which he won the WWE Championship in the first place – this amuses Barrett tremendously and he outright laughs at King for being so proper ...

TRIPLE H

The Number 1 contender heads out to a huge ovation as the WWE Universe cheer him to the ring as the spotlights shine down on him. Spitting his water into the air, Triple H steps into the ring and he locks eyes with the WWE Champion on the announce table and he signals to him that he is going to take away his precious WWE Championship in less than two weeks time and that Barrett better be prepared to play the game. Hunter salutes the fans and then turns towards the stage to wait for his opponent in this main event ...

KURT ANGLE

Red, white and blue fireworks greet the arrival of Angle as he heads down to the ring looking determined to get the win and force his way into the Royal Rumble title match. He also salutes the fans and they cheer him as loud as they did for Hunter before he removes his medals and hands them over to the referee. Angle faces Hunter and the pair of them shake hands before the match can begin – much to the disgust of WWE Champion Wade Barrett who criticises them on commentary for this act of weakness – King corrects him and calls it sportsmanship but Barrett scoffs at the idea ...

MAIN EVENT | LUMBERJACK MATCH
KURT ANGLE vs. TRIPLE H

If Angle wins, he will be entered into the WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble

With the Lumberjacks positioned around the ring ready to throw Hunter or Angle back into the ring – or to keep Wade Barrett and the Nexus out – the two men involved lock up in the centre of the ring and the match is on as Kurt tries to earn his place in the WWE Championship match at the Rumble. The first part of the match passes by with both men having their spells on top as Angle takes control when the match is wrestled on the mat and then Triple H getting on top once the two men get to their feet and brawl a little. The first guy to head out of the ring is Triple H when Kurt Angle clotheslines him up and over the top rope to the outside. Hunter is down on the outside and the likes of DiBiase, Edge and Sheamus take turns to club him over the back and then they help him back into the ring underneath the bottom rope. Angle looks at the Lumberjacks with a look of confusion but then looks to take advantage as he stomps on the back of Hunter. However, the Lumberjacks decide that they want to take Angle down a little as well and Sheamus and Edge drag him out of the ring and Angle is given some special treatment as well. Both Angle and Triple H are face down on the mat after a beatdown from the Lumberjacks as the referee begins a countout in the ring. The face Lumberjacks on the other side of the ring begin to pound the mat to hype up the crowd even more and both Angle and Hunter stagger to their feet to continue the battle.

As the match winds its way towards its conclusion, it is Angle who is doing everything he can to ensure that he earns his place in the Rumble title match. Angle locks his hands around the waist of Hunter and lifts him up into a German Suplex that has the crowd roaring. Angle keeps his hands locked though and rolls himself and Hunter over to repeat the move. A second German Suplex and then a third follows as Angle looks to take Triple H down. After the third, Angle holds on and tries to pin Triple H ...

1 ... 2 ... Kick out from Hunter!

Angle steps back as Triple H gets back to his feet and he waits for his opportunity. As Triple H turns round, Angle jumps towards him and looks to lift him up and hit the Angle Slam. Triple H manages to counter though as he wriggles clear of it and then he kicks Angle in the gut. Could it be time for the Pedigree? Triple H begins to set up for the Pedigree but Angle back body drops his opponent down onto the mat instead and pounces with a pinfall.

1 ... 2 ... Kick out!

Angle lifts Triple H up and slams him hard down on the mat to buy him some time as he considers how he can win this match. Angle then does something unexpected as he steps back and then clotheslines Triple H over the top rope to the outside again where the Lumberjacks are waiting. However, this time, Hunter lands on the babyface side of the ring and the likes of Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan and Justin Gabriel look to help him back into the ring. As this happens, Bryan and Gabriel have a little disagreement and they begin to argue on the outside of the ring. DiBiase takes a keen interest in this argument as it spills over into the rampway and Bryan and Gabriel are now pushing each other a little as the tension between them shows a little. DiBiase sneaks in behind them ... and hits a double clothesline to the pair of them before heading out of the arena with Gabriel and Bryan staggering after him. Attention turns back to the ring where Hunter has returned and Angle is stomping a mudhole (copyright Stone Cold Steve Austin) in the corner of the ring. Angle spins away and is clearly working himself into a frenzy as he pulls down his strap and prepares to go for broke now. Angle stamps up and down on the mat, jumping a little as he waits, until Triple H turns around ... ANGLE SLAM! ANGLE SLAM TO TRIPLE H! JR suggests that the match is over, that Kurt Angle will be in the Royal Rumble WWE Title match ... Angle makes the cover ...

1 ... 2 ... 3! No, wait! Triple H kicks out at the last millisecond!

Angle looks ready to cry as he realises what has happened. He steels himself and then realises that he has to go further. A belly to belly suplex follows and Triple H looks defeated here as he wearily rolls over onto his front trying to protect himself as he looks to preserve his one on one title shot. Angle though is determined now and he grabs Triple H’s right leg and locks in the submission hold ... ANKLE LOCK! KURT ANGLE HAS THE ANKLE LOCK IN PLACE! Triple H is anguished in pain as he desperately tries to reach the ropes but Angle grapevines the hold and makes it doubly difficult for Triple H to drag himself towards the ropes. Triple H is refusing to tap out but King suggests that he would be better tapping out now and being 100% healthy for the Royal Rumble rather than trying to be a hero right now! Triple H is slowly dragging himself to the ropes, can he make it? Hunter’s head lowers down onto the mat, he is fading now and Angle is desperately trying to wrench the hold in even more. Triple H makes one last attempt ... AND MAKES THE ROPES! The referee tells Angle to release the hold to the despair of the Olympian. He doesn’t release immediately and a few RAW superstars make a move towards the ring to force the release. However, Angle reluctantly does as asked and he lets go of Hunter’s ankle. As the referee checks on his opponent, Angle reflects on what just happened and he steels himself for another attempt at finishing off Triple H and earning his WWE Championship shot.

As Hunter slowly gets up, Angle wastes no time and he hits a chop block to the back of Triple H’s calf that sends him crashing back down. Angle grabs Triple H again and looks to lock in the Ankle Lock once again. However, Triple H grabs the ropes early and refuses to let Angle drag him away from them. Angle is getting desperate it seems and he starts kicking away at the shoulders and arms of Triple H until he releases the ropes despite the warnings from the referee. Angle manages to force Hunter to let go and drags him to the centre of the ring where he prepares for another Angle Slam. Triple H staggers to his feet and Angle goes for the Angle Slam but Triple H wriggles clear ... Counter from Triple H ... ANGLE SLAM! TRIPLE H HITS THE ANGLE SLAM TO KURT ANGLE!

Amazing! Triple H used a desperation move as he used Angle’s own move to take out his opponent and keep himself in the contest. Triple H crawls over to Angle who is dazed now and he makes the cover as he looks to get the important win ...

1 ... 2 ... Kick out from Kurt Angle!

Triple H gets to his feet and he looks down on Kurt who is slowly getting up as well. As Angle gets up, Triple H manages to grab his head and shoves it between his legs as the crowd go wild at what is coming. Hooking the arms, Triple H has Angle where he wants him ... PEDIGREE! TRIPLE H HITS THE PEDIGREE! Triple H hooks the leg ...

WINNER
TRIPLE H (9:34)

As the rest of the RAW roster begin to gradually leave the ring and head towards the backstage again, Triple H and Kurt Angle are laid on the mat after a hard fought contest that has ended with Hunter ensuring a one on one match between himself and Wade Barrett at the Royal Rumble for the WWE Championship. Triple H is first to his feet as he has his hand raised by the referee and he looks relieved to have pulled out the win as he turns to face Barrett who is still mouthing off on commentary. With Barrett happy to be one on one with Hunter at the Rumble, he begins to mock Angle on commentary and declares himself correct over the ‘past it’ comments he made about the Olympic gold medal winner; he also claims that he will prove that Triple H’s time in the WWE is over when he defeats him for the WWE Championship in two weeks at the Rumble. Hunter smirks at Barrett and points to the WWE Championship belt and signals that he will win the title before heading back towards Angle who is recovering from the Pedigree and getting to his feet. Kurt looks disappointed and he appears to be unhappy with himself as he props himself up on the ropes. Triple H advances towards him and offers his hand out to Angle and the WWE Universe cheer this show of respect from Hunter. However, Angle, the disappointment in his eyes still clear, looks at the outstretched hand of Triple H and then opts to ignore it as he chooses to exit the ring instead. Angle begins to walk up the ramp and doesn’t look back as he shakes his head in disappointment, despite JR reminding us that he is now a guaranteed entrant in the Royal Rumble match. Hunter looks out at Angle walking away and shrugs his shoulders as if to say he tried. There is a commotion in the arena as the WWE Universe realise that Wade Barrett is sneaking up behind Triple H as well now. However, Hunter spins around and sees Barrett coming. He locks eyes with the WWE Champions and dares him to try it on right here, right now. Barrett, caught out by Hunter turning around, decides to back off and he slides between the ropes and out of the ring where he begins to walk out of the arena staring at his challenger at the Royal Rumble. JR and King suggest that Barrett may have to fight this one face to face with Triple H and King says that he believes we will have a new WWE Champion as RAW fades out with Barrett holding the championship belt up on the stage for all to see and Triple H nodding his head with belief that he will win that title in Cleveland, Ohio ...

So GCB, time to chip (no pun intended) you a review.

-We start off with Barrett talking and he gets some cheap heat which is fine with me. He put over WM and his opportunity to be there and I have a feeling he might just lose the title before the big event. He goes on to insult Kurt Angle but I feel you did it too long. It should have been kept short and Barrett should have focused on Triple H. Speaking of Triple H, out comes the Game. Again, too much Angle. They should have hyped their RR match even more and kept the Angle bit a little short. And okay, if you had to go with it, why didn't Angle come out? Triple H vs Angle should be good and I think Angle wins it tonight.

-A solid Fatal-4-Way hyping up the Royal Rumble match and a good way to end things. However, I do not like review-type matches and prefer them full even for TV. But, it was well written and I have a feeling John Morrison will win the Royal Rumble and face The Miz (who I think will win the WWE championship using his MITB) at WM. Sheamus and Morrison build-up their chances and it's looking good so far.

-Nice exchange between Edge and HBK and I am really digging this feud. Wonder how it will end though. Anyways, Edge and RVD set for tonight and RVD wins to further fuel the feud between HBK and Edge. DiBiase vs Gabriel was good and it looks as if DiBiase is recieving a push. Bryan comes out to help and the two of them attacking DiBiase in the end makes his win a little de-valued but a good story from Gabriel. Heel turn coming? I hope not cause he just turned face.

-The owner puts Orton back in the match. Umm, not sure about the move. I thought it would have made a better story to keep Orton out of the match and then cost Cena in the end when he is about to win. But this should be good too and this is the feud that has interested me the most. Perhaps because I'm a huge Cena fan and your heel Cena is doing the job.

-Edge vs RVD and Edge wins!!! But HBK reverses the decision as expected and furthers the storyline between himself and Edge. RVD is now going to the RR to make it more exciting. However, I do think Edge will finally get into the Rumble next week after a clean victory against whoever it is.

-My-o-my. With the Orton promo, you showed the world why you are one of the best around here. Awesome promo and speaking of awesome, here comes The Miz. Miz and Orton set and I really look forward to this match. Miz should be fun in the RR match and I think he has his WM spot ready with the briefcase he's carrying. Wonder what Michelle wants? Orton and Miz was good and Cena appearing was a good move. Miz picks up the sneak victory frustrating Orton further. I really hope this rivalry explodes out of the roof and you are sowing the seeds for it. Nice overall segment, best of the night from the Orton promo to the commercial.

-Nice touch with Tarver there. However I am NOT interested in seeing him and Harris as a team unless you build them differently. Those are two uncharismatic, sucking individuals and I don't want to sound too rude, but they could be a disgrace to the tag-team division. However, I may well be wrong.

-So, main-event time and Barrett is out to ringside. An awesomly pitted contest between two veterans of the game and Triple H comes out victorious. You surprised me there! So Angle is not in the WWE title match. He is in the RR match but he will definitely have a better role to play on the PPV. Interference, anybody? Angle looks disappointed and it's expected. Barrett tries to sneak attack but leaves seeing Hunter turn around. Nice touch and I can see it happening on real WWE programming.

-All in all, a great show again and you have me intigrued for the Royal Rumble PPV. The things that interest me the most are the RR match itself and the Cena-Orton rivalry. Great show again and I will be looking forward to the 5 shows that remain (NXT, SD!, RAW, NXT and SD!) and the PPV itself. Good luck and keep writing.

GLOBAL ICON

It's been a long time coming GCB, so here we go with a review. I'm also gonna touch on NXT and SmackDown after I review RAW.

Ok then. Now, I wanna say I like what you've done with Wade Barrett and how you've been pushing him. And now he's got a big challenge with HHH at The Rumble. I, for one, hope that Barrett holds onto the WWE Title heading into Mania.

This Randy Orton story is a little interesting. First he was ordered to not do this, then he gets suspended, then he's told not he can't compete at The Rumble period, then he's in the RR Match. Idk, it seems like a bit much is all. But you said, Orton can't have any contact with Cena DURING the Rumble. Does this mean he can still attack Cena on SmackDown? Cena's already starting mind games by costing him a match with The Miz, so we'll see what happens.

I feel for Edge here. I feel like HBK is screwing him every step of the way and now he isn't even gonna be in the RR Match. But it would be interesting to see if HBK makes one more comeback against Edge. WrestleMania maybe?

The US Title scene is looking interesting as well. It looks like Dibiase doesn't want Bryan to be the US Champ, so he screwed him over as guest referee and he pinned Gabriel in a non title match. Things are looking to take an interesting turn.

Now, at first I didn't get why you'd have HHH and Angle in a rematch, but now that I see Angle gettin frustrated with losing, maybe it's an early sign at a turn here? In any event, time to start the build with HHH and Barrett. Should be good.

Quick notes on NXT:

I like the ranking system you have going with 1-8. And you're giving guys that normally wouldn't get pushed a push, sort of. Chavo has a #3 spot and Drew McIntyre has a #5 spot. And Khali and Kozlov are battling for #1. I'm interested in seeing who grabs the spot, but more importantly, looking to see where you take this product.

I like the British Empire you stable you started. Regal, Finlay, and Ryan. Interesting to see how you book these guys. So far so good with Regal wanting to play the British National Anthem. Looking for them to make an impact at the Royal Rumble.

Also, on a low key note, I see Maryse is getting a few wins here. She's been on a roll and I wanna see her challenge for the Divas Championship, but Michelle McCool and Kharma are lurking about. Layla better be careful.

Quick notes on SmackDown:

Michael Cole is just as annoying on SmackDown as he was on RAW. Yeesh. But again, it works in Cole's favor cause that's his character. Annoying and....well annoying. He seems to already be power hungry too. Throwing his weight around and such. Let's see if you can keep him interesting every week and not have him get boring.

Big Show seems to be transforming back into the Monster that he was a while ago and Kofi was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Royal Rumble is getting more and more interesting.

Cena's heel turn...I don't know what to make of it yet cause I really don't know who he is yet, or what type of heel character he's trying to be. It's gonna take me a while to get a grasp on it, but if you know, let me know.

CM Punk and Christian for the World Title should be a good one. Looking forward to the mic battles between these two leading up to it.

So far, there's a lot of great builds for The Royal Rumble already for both World Title matches and the RR Match itself.

NXT is growing on me, and I need to see if anything else is going to happen once the rankings get finalized.

Keep it up GCB, the Road to WrestleMania is looking very interesting.

Oh and before I forget....I'm looking forward to see where Jeff Hardy fits into all this, but I got a feeling I already know... ;)

Jam's Review
SMACKDOWN

First off, I'm just gonna touch on some things rather than the whole show.

Ok right to it. First thing I'll address is Cena's heel turn. I still don't know how I feel about Cena being a heel but I think that I'm starting to get there and that really shows your ability as a writer. You have him get some cheap heat by insulting the home crowd. Just those kinds of things can really get you some heat on a superstar. So yeah, Cena's heel turn, it's being done gradually but the right way.

I always liked Show as a heel anyway and c'mon he's a giant so why place nice? Nice touch there in the beginning with Show playing with Kofi even getting a handshake outta him. Nice little rivalry here and now that you've made a believer out of me in Kofi, I expect Kofi to come out on top here. He'll challenge for that World Title soon, I'm calling it already.

An Undertaker apperance is always exciting. Just one line is all Undertaker needs to make a statement and he did just that with Kane. Looks like it'll be Kane who will be challenging for the streak.

Excellent main event here. I've always liked Christian's in-ring ability and with Cena's improved in-ring ability, this match was stellar. Having Punk in the match was just a sign that a big finish would happen to close out SMACKDOWN and I was right. That 'missed call' from Punk was a great touch GCB. However, the #1 Contender gets the last laugh as he catches Punk with the Killswitch. Excellent show GCB. I've always looked forward to SMACKDOWN more than RAW in your thread. But Wade Barrett's reign is slowly changing that for me.

RAW

Excellent promo from Wade Barrett here again emphasizing the change that is taking place on WWE's flagship show. Out comes HHH and he says that Angle gets a rematch and if he wins, he'll be in the WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble. Now, I don't think that Triple H would do this, on second thought, he WOULDN'T do this. However, it was a way to set up your main event and I guess it's fine. Also, having Angle back seems impossible to me as he has said in interviews that he'll never go back. So I wish you brought back someone else, maybe Batista?

The Edge/HBK rivalry continues on and whoa, I'm hoping HBK comes back at Wrestlemania to face off with Edge. This could be a way to get HBK back in the ring while you get someone else to fill in as the authority figure. HBK/Edge will be a great rivalry, book it! :D

I like that you reinstated Orton in the Rumble. But I have no idea how you'd book this rivalry with Cena on Smackdown. But you've been doing a great job. I hope you end it between the two though so that both guys can focus on their own show and get back in the title picture.

Michael Tarver and Husky Harris as a tag team? Eh, well atleast you're trying to revamp the tag team division. Good luck with that.

I now see why you booked Angle his rematch, I see a possible heel turn here. Triple H and Angle would be a huge feud and will have the feeling of an 'Attitude Era' type of feud. However, I don't know where that would leave Barrett as he needs to get over more established stars.

Another great show GCB. You again show us why you're the top booker here in the forums, awesome job!

A Peepin' Review

* Sorry that I'm a little behind mate, I won't review all of last weeks shows but I will do an in-depth one on your latest RAW. Let's get to it, just two weeks of build left until the Royal Rumble - can't wait for that one. Reading the re-cap, I wouldn't mind a one on one match between Barrett and Hunter but a triple threat match with Angle added would be great also. Tarver is back which is good, I am a fan of him. Honestly, the Nexus is looking rather weak right now and I kind of wish someone just takes them out ala Orton in real life WWE. Excellent promo from Barrett, you have his cool arrogance down pat - probably your best character, you have molded him well into a mega star. But, once again, I would like the Nexus to go - I feel they have run their course. I agree on the rematch, and I am enjoying the chemistry on the microphone between Barrett and Hunter. Nice opening segment mate, but I think there needs to be something that little bit more to build extra heat for the RUmble - a one-on-one, intense promo? A nice little Rumble preview of sorts here, but what is Riley doing there? The Rumble match is one of the hardest things to build up well, little things like this help but I reckon it needs a bit more. I'm fine with the match recap and fine with the result - Morrison garners a little bit of momentum while Sheamus destroys the poor Riley. The good thing though is you have a number of people who could come away with the Rumble win, but I'm not really feeling the build honestly - maybe I will once the event comes a bit closer.

* I'm really enjoying this little feud between HBK and Edge, and I am intrigued to how it will end up - someone will have to represent HBK in Edge's bid to eliminate his rival from the GM spot? Also, I am now starting to feel Kurt Angle as a part of the show and everything but I can't say the same for RVD. He hasn't really said anything and he has been a very, very small background player in this Edge/Michaels feud so far. Sheamus, one of my faves heading into the Rumble, nice little heat builder there, good job. Eh, this US title feud is kind of confusing - you had the triple threat at Vengeance. I feel that Ted should be done now and it should be between Bryan and Gabriel? Ted kind of feels like a third wheel in this segment despite beating the champion cleanly. Realistic, smart move here to keep Orton in the Rumble. I expect him to come in just as Cena is but get screwed over once again, building it all the way to 'Mania! Haha, I love how HBK just comes out in time to screw Edge out of the victory - made me chuckle a little bit. Edge will add some more star power to the Rumble match, but HBK buggering him up once again could lead to something even more interesting. I loved this promo from Orton, it displayed his hatred for Cena kind of conflicting his desire to win the Rumble and main event 'Mania. I find that his promos may seem kind of bland on paper (or screen really) but if you read it in his voice, it sounds rather good. Nice little exchange between Miz and Orton, maybe Miz needs some new material though to keep him a bit fresh. Hmm... Michelle maybe wants a title match? A match with a legend? I'm not sure...

* I loved the distraction from Cena - almost as if he wants to piss off Orton but deep down he doesn't want to get too close. Miz picks up a huge, huge victory to just keep his great run rolling. He is building up momentum big time and a lengthy run in the Rumble match will just add to this. I am enjoying heel Cena a hell of a lot, his rivalry with Orton is great stuff buddy. A little anti-climatic with Tarver here, he just wants to tag with Husky now? I dunno, I thought he would be a bit more involved with Nexus now - you could of at least changed Husky's god awful name! Hunter beats Angle clean - yeah I'm fine with that as I've always wanted to see a match/feud between him and Barrett. You once again tease the Angle turn, it could be a bit soon thought since he just came back. A very slow burn could be nice, maybe until after 'Mania? Barrett, the smart bastard that he is, chooses to back away from his challenger after being found it. Love little details like that, Barrett is one of favs on your show now mate.

Overall: I really enjoyed this mate and I know building towards the Rumble has been hard but I think you need to blow it out of the water with next week's shows. A solid promo/physical confrontation between Hunter and Barrett would add some extra fuel to the fire and some extra build to the Rumble match itself. Very good read, well done.

*** PREVIEW ***

WHO WILL BE THE FIRST EVER NUMBER 1 RANK ON NXT?

After winning the Elimination Matches for their respective teams on NXT’s first show two weeks ago, Vladimir Kozlov – representing Team JBL – will go one on one with the Great Khali of Team Rock with both men looking to get the victory to put them on top of their first NXT ranking list. Although there are no prizes for being top of the rankings at this early stage, it would send out a big message to the rest of the NXT competitors that the victor was serious about emerging from the competition on top come WrestleMania 27. The question is, however, how much focus will the Moscow Mauler have on this match after his recent skirmishes with his former Tag Team partner, Santino Marella. Since arriving in NXT, Kozlov has completely bought into JBL’s philosophies – which, needless to say, are not good. After his destruction of Santino on the first show, Santino returned to NXT last week to deny Kozlov the chance to inflict more damage on Kaval. Despite not being a part of the competition, Santino has claimed that he is not finished with Kozlov – will the Italian appear on NXT this week? Khali, on the other hand, is seemingly his usual self and appears to be getting on well with his mentor, The Rock. When business turned serious in the first show though, the Punjabi Playboy proved that the smiles are put to one side for the NXT matches. Can he defeat Kozlov and earn top spot on the rankings?

... AND WHO WILL BE IN BOTTOM POSITION?

With Great Khali and Vladimir Kozlov desperate for victory to earn top spot in the rankings, Kaval and Dolph Ziggler clash this week desperate to avoid defeat and bottom spot in the inaugural rankings. Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero have not made the most auspicious starts on NXT – Dolph fell out with mentor, The Rock, before NXT Season 3 even started and their relationship has not improved after he was eliminated first in the Team Rock Elimination match in Week 1. Vickie is also making enemies and last week was involved in a war of words with her nephew, Chavo. He accused her of being a disgrace to the Guerrero legacy and promised that HE would make Uncle Eddie proud. Ziggler and Vickie’s problems pale into comparison at the side of Kaval though. With JBL as his mentor, he appears to be on a team where the leader, JBL, is completely against him and is ordering his other three team members to beat down Kaval at every opportunity. Even a reluctant MVP has been forced to take Kaval down. With both Ziggler and Kaval in danger of being bottom of the rankings, both men will be desperate for their first NXT wins tonight to secure the not-so-coveted seventh spot – but at least they won’t be bottom.

DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LINE!

After winning the Number 1 contender match with Natalya on NXT Week 1, Maryse’s sights are now set on winning the Divas Championship from Layla tonight on NXT. On last week’s NXT, Maryse pinned the Divas Champion and has vowed that tonight will see her reclaim the Divas Championship for the good of the Divas division. However, underestimating Layla is something that the sultry French-Canadian should do at her peril – Michelle McCool made that mistake back at Cyber Sunday and Survivor Series when Layla twice defeated her to end Laycool and become the undisputed Divas Champion. Tonight, Layla will look to defend her title – especially since the return of the aforementioned Miss McCool and her new muscle, Kharma. Can Maryse become the new Divas Champion tonight?

TAG TEAM TURMOIL SET FOR ROYAL RUMBLE

Last week, WWE owner Chip Butty announced a revamp of the Tag Team division and announced that the Tag Champions, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins would face five other teams at the Rumble in a Tag Team Turmoil match – Cryme Tyme, Usos, Evan Bourne and Mark Henry, Hart Dynasty and the new team, the British Empire, who will be made up of two from William Regal, Mason Ryan and Finlay. Butty also announced that NXT would host matches between the six teams with the winners earning a later entry into the Turmoil match. Last week, Cryme Tyme ensured the later entry with a victory over the Usos and tonight, Evan Bourne and Mark Henry face the champions, Ryder and Hawkins, for the right to start the match later as well. With the British Empire set to debut in the ring next week against the Hart Dynasty to complete the qualifying, it seems important for both teams tonight to ensure a late entry to keep alive their dreams of walking out of the Rumble PPV as the Tag Team Champions in just over a week’s time.

IHW's Review

This is for Raw, 1-10

Nexus and HHH- Good opening, it hits all of the main points of the feud. I got that Wade Barret feel, which was nice. HHH needs to be more interesting on the mic though.

Fatal 4 way- Great action. I like reading how BT members do matches as it helps me. John winning gives him a lead going into the Rumble. I think we need a little more from Bryan, as he is one of the best ring workers in the business.

Edge and HBK- HBK and Chip have something going here. I am lost on who Chip is as I haven’t been reading because I’m new. Edge showed some of his manipulation, which was nice. He failed at a one on one match, but still got an opportunity for WM. I do think we need more of that HBK feel. But, this could just be from me not knowing much about your Raw.

Sheamus Interview- The pairing of Sheamus and Horny is nice because of the Irish background. How did they get together? I enjoyed Sheamus’ frustration, and this is the hothead character I am pulling for in my show.

Ted vs. Justin- Great match writing. I need to learn from this. Gabriel’s athleticism showed. Ted’s anger at the end was nice. Bryan saving Gabriel was also nice. Could this lead to a one on one for the US Title or a 3 way? I like that you leave us with a question.

Chip Butty’s Announcement- I am lost on the Randy Orton thing. Can you fill me in? Chip seems to be the Johnny Ace of this show, which is okay. I liked his execution of the announcement.

Edge vs. RVD- I enjoyed the clash of styles here. Rob is one of my favorites because of his ring abilities. The heelish antics of Edge were nice. I still feel like I need more out of HBK. He is my all time favorite and I just don’t feel that Heart Break Kid attitude in him. I will be reading more to see if I can find that feel.

Orton Interview- I need to know the back-story here to be more involved. How does a Raw guy have so much anger for a SD! Guy? Things like that. Also, if Orton has so much anger, and is rebellious toward management, why does he wait to be in the ring for Miz? Overall, it was a very good promo.

McCool and HBK- Fill me in here too.

Miz vs. Randy- This is exactly what we needed to see from Randy. I am getting interested in this Cena/Orton feud.

Barret and Tarver- Whats up here? Taver seems like somebody pied in his cheerios. He has anger, and I wouldn’t mind seeing him take It out on Barret. I haven’t saw anything from your Tag Division yet, so this is my opening to it. Tarver and Harris will be . . . interesting.

Main Event- Best match I have read in BT! Granted, I haven’t read many, but this was extraordinary. The build with Wade and HHH in one night was perfect for me.

OK, a summary for anybody who has missed my BT from the very beginning!

Chip Butty bought WWE from Vince McMahon, he's basically my character. At first, the intention was to have him just be a smiling, nice guy but I've decided to make him more interesting and he is a bit of a tweener right now. He fired Teddy Long on SMACKDOWN recently after T-Lo got on the wrong side of Kane and installed Michael Cole as GM and he tried to exclude Orton from the Rumble. Whilst there are no major stories planned for him up to WM, after WM I may use him in a different way.

Sheamus Interview- The pairing of Sheamus and Horny is nice because of the Irish background. How did they get together? I enjoyed Sheamus’ frustration, and this is the hothead character I am pulling for in my show.

Sheamus had just lost the title at Night of Champions 2010 when I started the BT the following night. In his rematch with Orton at No Mercy, Triple H returned for revenge on Sheamus. His distraction cost Sheamus victory and they clashed at Cyber Sunday in an Ambulance Match. It was - in my opinion - my best match ever, worth a read. They brawled all over the arena and beat the holy hell out of each other but it was Triple H who looked set to win as he threw Sheamus into the anbulance - and then he was knocked cold by a steel pipe. Sheamus came round and put HHH into the ambulance and it turned out that it was Hornswoggle who knocked HHH out with the pipe. He again cost Triple H a victory at Survivor Series (Three Stages of Hell, Sheamus won 2-1) and has been running round with the Celtic Warrior ever since.

Orton, after winning the title from Sheamus, ended up feuding with Cena and Barrett who were having problems themselves. Things were tense but Cena and Orton had a common goal - eliminating Barrett and Nexus. Problem was that Cena was having mental troubles though we didn't know it. The Universe failed to vote Cena into the Cyber Sunday title match between Orton and Barrett. HBK forced Cena and Orton to team against Nexus at the Survivor Series with three other guys on their team. If Nexus won, Barrett would win the WWE Title. If Team Orton (with Cena) won, Orton would retain. Justin Gabriel managed to pin Cena and lost Orton the title. Gabriel then left Nexus but Orton wasn't impressed. He refused Cena's apology and handshake on RAW the next night but Orton had a rematch vs. Barrett on that show anyway. Annoyed with being blamed and angry at the Universe, Cena cost Orton the win on RAW before Teddy Long poached Cena to SMACKDOWN (because SMACKDOWN beat RAW in a Survivor Series match to earn the right to poach any star from the other brand). Since then, Cena and Orton have been interfering in matches of the other, Cena beat Orton sneakily at Vengeance but Orton can't let it go. When he attacked Cena on SMACKDOWN, after being warned to stay away, he was banned from the Rumble. Now Chip has relented and will let him in the Rumble match.

HBK is the GM so I'm not sure how much of his attitude I can use - he has to be the General Manager. There is trouble brewing between Edge and HBK from a long time ago when Edge was stirring trouble with HBK when he was still the anonymous GM. Edge also deliberately lost the RAW vs. SMACKDOWN match at Survivor Series that led to HBK losing Cena from his roster.

Orton knows he has to behave - Butty only just allowed him back in the Rumble.

Michelle disappeared after Laycool broke up and recently returned with Kharma as her protector. She has declared that she will win the Divas Title soon and has a secret proposition for HBK which he is making calls about. You'll have to wait and see what it is she is after from HBK.

Tag Team has been neglected by me so far. Broskis are champions. I'm trying to ressurect it on NXT heading for WM where we will have a big Tag Title match. Tarver and Husky may be good and they may be crap, we'll see.

Main Event- Best match I have read in BT! Granted, I haven’t read many, but this was extraordinary. The build with Wade and HHH in one night was perfect for me.

IHW

Not the best match in BT by any stretch - it's in recap for a start. As I say, my best match was Sheamus and Triple H at Cyber Sunday followed by RAW vs. SMACKDOWN at Survivor Series. Check out the rest of the BT, it's worth an hour or two of your time, I promise!

Review coming for your show very soon. :)

Workhorse review

Okay GCB, lets get into Monday Night RAW.

Start off the show with the WWE Champion which is good. Giving him and Triple H the most air time is (obviously) the right move. Strong promo from Barrett who rips Angle and gets some cheap heat. You pulled it off well. Triple H does his thing but I didn’t quite feel the way he talked up Angle so much. I feel like the way that Barrett really ripped Angle means the feud isn’t over yet.

Solid build to the Royal Rumble with the Fatal-4-Way. Riley seemed a bit out of his league but you built Morrison’s chances very high. Will he win it?

Edge and HBK’s exchange was awesome I enjoyed it. Can’t wait to see where it goes.

Orton back in the rumble, interesting decision but I’ll see where you take it. Great promo from him later in the show.

Edge vs RVD was a great match, well written. I liked that Michaels reversed the decision. RVD gets in the rumble and we get good progression with the Egde/HBK feud.

Michael Tarver makes a stand against the WWE Champ. Forming a new tag team with Husky Harris. Okay. I’ll wait to see how this pans out and what you do with them but at least your using some of the undercard talent.

Triple H vs Angle, match of the night! Great match between two veterans. Fantastically written match and an interesting ending. Perhaps hinting an Angle heel turn. Angle costs Triple H the title at RR? Sets up a match at ‘Mania?

Overall, another great outing from you GCB. The build towards the Rumble continues and you’ve built your main feud exceptionally as well as the building the other feuds nicely. Can’t wait to see what you come up with and good luck!

Striker and Mathews welcome everybody to Week 3 of NXT Season 3 and they hype up tonight’s main event match between Team Rock’s Great Khali and Team JBL’s Vladimir Kozlov as the ‘Battle of the WWE Heavyweights’ for the Number 1 ranking spot here on NXT. Striker poses the question of who will be the man to secure the first ever top spot and how it could help to build momentum as that man looks to win NXT and earn a future WWE or World Heavyweight Title match after NXT finishes at WrestleMania.

KAVAL

Striker and Mathews remind us of the treatment that Kaval has received so far from his so-called mentor, JBL, and his team-mates. Striker declares that he hopes that Kaval can find a way to overcome the odds with Team JBL but it doesn’t look good as he appears to be a certainty for being the first man eliminated from NXT the ways things are going. Mathews says that he needs a win over Ziggler tonight to avoid falling to the bottom of the first NXT rankings and that Vickie Guerrero is desperate for her man to avoid the same feat.

MATCH 1 | SINGLES MATCH (for Ranking Place 7 and 8)
DOLPH ZIGGLER vs. KAVAL

A thoroughly entertaining first match of the evening and it is an even contest as both men look to obtain a huge win here in NXT. Ziggler fails with two attempted Zig Zags before Kaval manages to take him down and climbs to the top rope – unfortunately, he cannot land the two footed stomp and twists his ankle a little on landing. Ziggler is like a shark smelling blood and he works over Kaval’s ankle until he is hobbling on one leg. Every time Kaval looks set to make a comeback, Ziggler cuts him back down with a shot to the ankle. When he fails with this, Vickie distracts the referee or Kaval and this allows Ziggler to take control back. Eventually, Vickie’s distraction allows Dolph Ziggler to hit the ZIG ZAG but Kaval manages to grab hold of the rope to break the pinfall to the delight of the crowd. Kaval uses the time that Ziggler spends arguing with the referee to launch another comeback and he manages to take Dolph down and goes for the stomp again – KAVAL HITS THE WARRIORS WAY from the top rope! Kaval makes the cover ...

WAIT A MINUTE!

As he was about to count three, the referee was pulled out of the ring and he landed heavily at ringside – it was DREW McINTYRE! Kaval’s team-mate is less than impressed and he launches kicks to Drew as he gets into the ring but Drew, with help from Dolph, overpowers Kaval and hits a stunning FUTURE SHOCK DDT before Ziggler follows it up with the ZIG ZAG. McIntyre shoves the referee back into the ring and hides out of sight as Ziggler makes the cover and the referee groggily makes the count ...

Ziggler and Vickie celebrate up the rampway as they realise that Ziggler will not be bottom of the first ever NXT rankings, instead it is Kaval who will be Number 8 – thanks to his team-mate, Drew McIntyre! Kaval gets to his feet with a look of anger in his eyes and looks desperate as if he has no idea of how he can overcome these problems. Suddenly, he is spun around and kicked in the gut by McIntyre who has sneaked up from behind. Another FUTURE SHOCK DDT follows before McIntyre, looking impressed with himself, heads out of the ring with a smirk on his face as Kaval lays flat out in the ring ...

NXT returns with replays of Drew McIntyre’s interference in the last match and Striker and Mathews condemn his actions after he left Kaval down and out and furthermore in the bottom ranking place in the NXT competition. The camera heads backstage where a jubilant Dolph Ziggler, sweating after his hard fought match, is heading down a corridor with a beaming Vickie Guerrero. They enter the locker room and the crowd go wild as we see Ziggler’s mentor, The Great One himself, The Rock! Ziggler asks Rock if he was impressed but Rock cuts him off and hits his ‘Finally ... The Rock has come back ... to Nashville!’ catchphrase before addressing Ziggler. Rock asks Vickie what she thought of Ziggler’s performance tonight and then uses his ‘It doesn’t matter what you think!’ phrase as well before berating Ziggler for even being in the match over 7th and 8th place in the first place. Rock tells Dolph that he is wasting his potential and confirms his belief that Dolph needs to get rid of his manager, Vickie Guerrero. Ziggler refuses and he starts to pick fault with Rock’s leadership skills as he accuses him of not supporting Ziggler so far. In walks R-Truth and he joins Ziggler in accusing the Rock of leaving them too much. Rock isn’t impressed and rants about how he never had anybody helping him, he rose to the top of the WWE because he listened to the crowd and he bust a gut every single night. He tells Ziggler and Truth that he has given them advice – ‘ditch Vickie, ditch the rap music and dancing’ but both have ignored him so far. And have lost both their matches. Rock tells both men that they need to impress him with their work ethic and their ability not to waste their potential – then he will support them ... ‘If ya smell ... what the Rock ... is ... cookin’’

The cameras return to the ring and Mathews and Striker hype up the announcement made by Chip Butty last week about the Tag Team Championship and the Royal Rumble Turmoil match in just 12 days time ...

Mathews identifies that being a later entrant into the match could work in a team’s favour and suggests that these NXT matches could be as important as the actual Rumble match for the title ...

MATCH 2 | TAG TEAM MATCH
EVAN BOURNE & MARK HENRY vs. MAJOR BROSKIS

Great early action as the Tag Team Champions and Evan Bourne mix up together with a lot of fast paced, flowing action as the Champions get the upper hand over the 165 pound Evan Bourne. They manage to isolate him and keep him away from the bigger Mark Henry and they look to cut off the ring and get the match won without facing the World’s Strongest Man. However, this is not to happen and Evan Bourne suddenly uses some reverse mule kicks to break free of the champions and tag in his partner, Henry. Now the match slows but Henry dominates as he executes a number of power moves to get the advantage over Curt Hawkins who is the legal man. Henry hits the WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM to Hawkins but as he makes the cover, Zack Ryder returns just in time to break the count. Another slam takes Ryder down as well but Hawkins manages to get up and kick Henry in the head and take him down to the mat. Ryder ducks as Henry groggily goes for a clothesline and hits the ropes before taking the big man down with a ROUGH RYDER! Zack is not legal and is ushered out but Hawkins heads for the top rope ... HEAT SEEKING ELBOW! Hawkins makes the cover ...

But the referee doesn’t count! As Henry went for the clothesline, Evan Bourne managed to stretch out and make the tag meaning he is the legal man! Hawkins is irate and he tries to beat the hell out of Bourne but he steps up a level as the fans get behind him. He takes out Hawkins and has him flat on his back near the corner of the ring and he looks round with a knowing look on his eyes. Ryder attempts to stop Bourne heading for the top rope but Henry clotheslines him over the rope and Bourne climbs to the top ... AIR BOURNE! EVAN BOURNE TAKES OUT CURT HAWKINS WITH AIR BOURNE! Bourne makes the tag ...

WINNER
EVAN BOURNE & MARK HENRY (7:27)

Bourne and Henry celebrate in the ring as the Tag Team Champions slink away after their first defeat in ages, a real boost for the challengers who will now enter the Tag Team Championship match later. Ryder and Hawkins look concerned as they are reunited with their Tag Team belts outside the ring and an early entry into the Tag Team Turmoil will mean they will have their work cut out to retain their titles in twelve days time. As they turn to leave though, on the stage appear William Regal, Finlay and Mason Ryan decked out in red, white and blue and carrying the Union Jack flag.

BritishEmpire.jpg

Finlay, Mason Ryan & William Regal
BRITISH EMPIRE

Regal has a microphone and Bourne’s music is faded out so he can speak. Regal declares that the British Empire are unimpressed with both teams and that they are now even more confident that their tag team, which will debut next week, will destroy both of them at the Rumble. Regal declares that they are guaranteeing that the Tag Team Championships will be returning to the land of hope and glory, to the home country of the WWE owner Chip Butty ... Great Britain! Regal receives some heat for this comment before he suggests that they won’t play the British National Anthem this week as these Tennessee idiots will be unable to listen and may besmirch it with their mindless chatter ... Instead, Regal says that they will defeat Hart Dynasty next week on NXT before heading for the Rumble and becoming the new Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, JBL is in the ‘Team JBL’ locker room with Drew McIntyre and Vladimir Kozlov. JBL is beaming and he shakes the hand of Drew McIntyre and congratulates him over something. He declares that McIntyre is showing the right level of commitment to ‘Team JBL’ and that he is very impressed so far. JBL tells Kozlov that tonight he will lead the team to the top of the first NXT rankings and after that they will eliminate every single one of Rock’s team as well as Kaval to completely dominate the competition. And when it is down to the final three, JBL will sit back and let them fight it out between themselves for the right to win NXT. In walks MVP who looks hesitant as he spots the leader and the other two guys stood talking. JBL guides MVP into the conversation and asks him if he saw Drew’s actions earlier tonight? MVP reluctantly nods his head and JBL tells MVP that he needs to aspire to be more like Drew McIntyre. He asks him if he saw Vladimir Kozlov beating down on Santino Marella on the first NXT show? Again, MVP nods his head as JBL declares that Kozlov forgot the past, he forgot about the people who held him back. JBL tells MVP that he needs to do that too and challenges him to stop feeling sorry for Kaval and start looking out for the best interests of himself and Team JBL. MVP almost argues back with JBL but thinks better of it and shrugs his shoulders. JBL tells MVP that he will be watching him as he looks to step it up over the coming weeks ...

The cameras switch to the interview area where Todd Grisham awaits and he introduces his guest: Chavo Guerrero. Grisham congratulates Chavo on his win over MVP last week and securing third place in the NXT rankings. He asks him how he intends to move on and reach the Number 1 spot. Chavo responds by pointing out the mammoth size of the two men ahead of him in the rankings – Khali and Kozlov. Chavo tells the world that first and foremost it is important he finishes in the top three to ensure he keeps his job in the WWE. However, Chavo tells us that he has never been one to sit back and accept his situation. He promises that he is going to go after Kozlov or Khali and search for a way to defeat them and take the Number 1 spot. He recalls No Way Out in 2004 and signals for video to be played ...

Chavo Guerrero is watching thoughtfully as the video ends and we return to the interview area. He smiles and reminds us that nobody gave Eddie a chance heading into the No Way Out WWE Championship match with Brock Lesnar but he managed to overcome all the obstacles, he managed to find a way to shock the world and win the title. Chavo says that nobody believes in him anymore. He says that nobody expects him to beat Great Khali, Vladimir Kozlov, Drew McIntyre or Dolph Ziggler ... but he will. He will do it for the Guerrero family, for his Uncle Eddie watching down from above and for the WWE Universe who need to see one more miracle from Los Guerreros. Huge cheers for Chavo’s announcement and there is a ‘Chavo!’ chant echoing around the arena which makes him smile ... Into the picture walks Vickie Guerrero and she doesn’t look happy. She says that she has received a number of calls from members of the Guerrero family in the past week and that they are not happy with her actions last week – she doesn’t care though. She is not interested in the ‘Guerrero family name’ now that Chavo is hell bent on wrecking it anyway. Vickie tells Chavo that his win over MVP last week was a fluke, that he is destined to fall when he meets her man, Dolph Ziggler. Vickie tells Chavo that Dolph is part of a new breed of wrestling and she is as far away from being part of the antiquated ideas of the Guerrero family. She tells Chavo that she has moved on with her life and that when Dolph wins NXT and he is out of a job, that will be proof that the Guerrero family is finished in wrestling. She laughs a high pitched laugh and then walks away leaving Chavo looking disappointed ...

MATCH 3 | DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
LAYLA (c) vs. MARYSE

Both WWE Divas go all out for the win as Maryse looks to take away the Divas Championship that Layla has held – in some way or another – for nearly eight months now. Layla is being cheered on though and she looks to be rising above the sneaky tactics of Maryse and a snapmare takes her down to the mat as Layla looks for the quick win. Maryse battles back though and avoids the neckbreaker – the ‘Layout’ – before shoving Layla hard through the ropes to the outside. Maryse drags Layla up and forces her back first into the ring post where she grabs her hair and roughly mocks her for thinking that she could hold the title when she was around. With the referee threatening a DQ, Maryse releases Layla but then hits a running knee to the back to shove Layla head first into the barricades. The referee orders Maryse into the ring and Maryse obliges as the referee begins the countout. Layla returns to the ring on 7 and Maryse begins to use her feet to stomp away on the lower back of her opponent as she weakens her further. The crowd try to get behind Layla again but Maryse has control and locks in the Camel Clutch ... Layla struggles like mad and manages to make the ropes to release the hold but Maryse almost refuses and gets disqualified again. The ref isn’t happy with Maryse but she ignores him and pops Layla off into the ropes ... Spinning Backbreaker! Layla writhes in pain on the mat ...

1 ... 2 ... Kick out just in time from Layla!

Maryse stops and straightens her hair before a kick to Layla’s gut as she gets to her feet gives her chance to set up for the French Kiss. Maryse looks round with a satisfied look on her face as she is about to plant Layla into the mat head first ... However, Layla manages to reverse the hold and snapmares Maryse to the mat once more. A low dropkick to a seated Maryse follows and Layla looks to be building the momentum just in time. Layla once more looks to go for the Layout but once more Maryse manages to grab the ropes to escape the move. As Layla is out of position, Maryse suddenly extends her long leg and hits a spinning kick to the back of the Divas Champion just below her shoulders. FRENCH TKO! Maryse wastes time as she tries to get her head in order and then she rolls Layla up looking for the pinfall ...

Maryse grabs the rope for leverage, the referee is counting Layla’s shoulders ...

WINNER & NEW DIVAS CHAMPION
MARYSE (4:13)

As ‘Pourquoi?’ blasts out around the arena, the referee hands the Divas Championship belt to Maryse who looks delighted. On the other hand, Layla is livid with the decision and she complains bitterly to the referee about Maryse having the ropes. The WWE Universe are also unhappy but Maryse mocks Layla by posing in the corner of the ring with the title belt. A furious Layla rushes over at her and tries to attack her but Maryse is quick as a cat and clambers through the ropes just in time. Straightening her hair, Maryse once more poses in the ramp way with the title held over her head ... MARYSE IS THE NEW DIVAS CHAMPION!

MAIN EVENT | SINGLES MATCH (for Ranking Place 1)
GREAT KHALI w/Runjin Singh vs. VLADIMIR KOZLOV

A slow paced match as the two big men of the NXT competition go at it and lumber around looking for the big powerful move needed to secure them the top spot on NXT. Khali takes control in the early stages with some ferocious slaps to the chest of the Russian but these do not appear to weaken his resolve as he responds with some agile kicks to the legs of Khali that take him down. As Kozlov begins to keep Khali on the mat, he starts to throw punches to the giant and starts to rock him now he has him down to his size. However, such is the way with Khali, one move can be so powerful and he manages to shove Kozlov down on his backside as he looks to prevent the momentum of the Russian. The crowd are behind the fan favourite Khali and he gets a huge cheer when he manages to hit a big boot to the face of the onrushing Kozlov that sends him up and over the top rope. At this moment, Kozlov’s mentor JBL heads out into the arena with a microphone. He informs Khali that he traded him for Kozlov before NXT began because he knew he wasn’t up to it no more. Khali doesn’t understand his words until Runjin Singh informs him of them and then Khali decides to go out of the ring after JBL. Wisely, JBL backs away but this gives time for Kozlov to recover and when Khali re-enters over the top rope, Kozlov is waiting to deliver a big boot of his own which staggers Khali. Quick cover from Kozlov ...

1 ... Kick out from Khali!

Khali gets to his feet and Kozlov looks a little worried by this. Kozlov does use his head though and hits a battering ram type move to Khali in the corner before launching a series of headbutts to the chest of the Punjabi Playboy that the crowd jeer and boo. JBL is back at ringside now without a microphone and he urges Kozlov on. Kozlov does get on with it and he looks to hit the Iron Curtain but he cannot lift Khali up to slam him spine first on the mat and instead he resorts to a scoop powerslam. Again, no can do, Kozlov cannot get Khali off his feet. More Sambo kicks follow and Kozlov does manage to keep Khali struggling but he cannot find a way to take the giant down. Khali does drop to his knees in the end and this allows Kozlov to hit a DDT to the delight of JBL and he makes the cover ...

1 ... 2 ... Khali kicks out!

What is it going to take for Kozlov to get a win here? How can any of the NXT hopefuls defeat Khali? Khali rolls over and starts to get to his feet when JBL jumps up onto the apron and distracts the Indian. As Khali looks to get to JBL, the referee tries to stop him and Kozlov heads the opposite way and picks up a chair. He heads back into the ring and looks ready to wait for a chance to smash the chair into Khali as JBL distracts the referee. However, there is a commotion in the crowd and somebody jumps over the barricades and slides into the ring behind Kozlov! IT’S SANTINO MARELLA! Santino drags Kozlov round and hits a kick to the gut of the Russian who was his former partner ... As Kozlov drops the chair, Santino reaches into his tights and pulls out a Cobra sock puppet that he places on his hand ... COBRA! THE COBRA STRIKES AND KOZLOV IS DOWN! The referee is still dealing with Khali and JBL and hasn’t noticed. Santino looks to leave but then he sees the chair on the mat. He stops and decides to pick it up ... CRASH! As Kozlov gets to his knees a little, Santino smashes the chair into the back of Kozlov! The Russian is down! However, the noise from the chair shot is noticed by the others and the referee, Khali and JBL stop what they are doing and turn to see Santino with the ‘smoking gun’ in his hand ... The referee holds his hands out by his side and shrugs his shoulders before signalling for the bell ...

WINNER
VLADIMIR KOZLOV (5:46)

As Santino stands over Kozlov, he looks annoyed that he was caught; Khali looks even more annoyed and he confronts Santino over it. Santino clearly apologises to Khali and tries to explain but Khali looks annoyed over this and he looks as if he might attack the Italian. In the end, he changes his mind but – as Striker and Mathews now tell us – he has just lost the match which means that Kozlov is the first NXT Number 1 in the rankings. As Kozlov gets to his knees again, Khali looks down over him and seems to be getting an idea. He holds out his hand for the chair and Santino hands it over to him with a grin. However, as Khali turns to use it on Kozlov, JBL drags his man out of the ring and they stagger away up the ramp to safety – a wise move from JBL. A graphic is flashed up on the titantron that shows the complete first NXT rankings ...

NXT3-Rankings.jpg

Mathews reminds us that next week the NXT superstars will be able to start challenging each other to move up the rankings as NXT moves on with all eight men looking to earn their spot in the WrestleMania NXT Final. They speculate that there could be some fallout from tonight’s main event next week and urge us to watch next week as JBL and a weary Kozlov look down to the ring at Khali and Santino ...

IHW’s Review

NXT Jan. 11th, 2011

This is my first review for your NXT. This show seems interesting. I like the Team Rock vs. Team JBL thing. Should be good.

Ziggler vs. Kaval- Great match idea. The ending was kind of confusing to me. I had to read it twice. McIntyre looked the strongest here, and he wasn’t in the match.

Ziggler, Rock, Truth- Ziggler either need to drop Vickie, or she needs to make a bigger impact on his character. Right now if seems like she is just there. I pretty much agree with Rock here.

Major Broskis vs. Henry and Bourn- I like the short matches on NXT, they make for a quick read. I like how you incorporate Raw and Smackdown, was well as the Royal Rumble. It gives another reason to read NXT. British Empire is a nice idea.

JBL and his team- Good Promo here. Not much really to say.

Chavo Interview- I liked it a lot. Chavo is doing something here that I feel could have helped him in the WWE. There is the thing I need from Vickie. She is “not just there” anymore.

Divas- This was a nice match. Very interesting ending.

Main Event- Well done. I like how it is the match with the most focus. It is nice and long like needed.

Chavo needs to be at the top. He can carry this show. Ziggler and him could have great matches.

So NXT is its own show, but also features Tag Teams and Divas? NICE. This is what WWE should have done.

I don’t have enough time to go back and read the other 2 NXT’s. What are the teams in full? What are the things that will be incorporated with the show(divas, tags, etc)? How exactly does the ranking work? Any other things I should know?

Jam's Review
Alright a show from GCB, even if it is NXT....lulz. Let's get this started!

First matchup of the night is between Ziggler and Kaval, with the loser likely being the first person to be eliminated. Pretty good match until McIntyre comes out and pulls the poor referee outta the ring. Just imagine if the ref was Charles Robinson, that'd have emotion. But anyway, I know I said that one of them is probably the first to go, but this McIntyre interference can prove otherwise. Plus, it looks like you're really building a feud for Kaval when he eventually comes out of this with JBL or anyone on Team JBL so that's something to look out for.

I don' think that getting rid of Vickie would be the right move in building up Ziggler but it would be interesting to see how you would build up Ziggler just by himself without a heat magnet like Vickie.

I like that NXT has a different concept in your thread GCB. Here, you build up those guys that have absolutely nothing going for them right now. Instead of in real life where WWE brings in rookies while they already have a lot of wrestlers with nothing to do. The tag team division is really heating up here with the champs looking in trouble after their loss to Henry and Bourne. This is one thing I like about BT, we can make up some teams and build them up to be credible. This British Empire stable seems pretty legit and I full expect Mason Ryan to benefit from all of this.

I like MVP, he's a pretty big time guy. I think that he works much better as a heel though. He'll probably turn tweener or fully heel real soon because of the team that he's in and that's just fine with me. I kind of agree with JBL here in that MVP needs to only concern himself with winning and getting back on track.

Inspiring promo here from Chavo. I like that touch of a Youtube video here. Hmm, I'm actually pulling for Chavo now, good job there GCB. However, I don't know how I feel about Vickie saying she doesn't care about the Guerrero name anymore and that she has moved on. Seems a little disrespectful for me, that's why I don't even know why she started going back on TV after Eddie died but nonetheless, the promo did its job here.

Some Divas action, awesome. Definitely an entertaining match with two ladies who can work a match right. Sad to see Layla's reign end though, but really, it's better when your champ is a heel. It's just that way nowadays.

Interesting development here with Santino costing Khali his match. However, getting the Moscow Mauler the #1 seed is a good thing as it establishes him. I remember when Kozlov was even in a feud with the Undertaker and it was pretty alright. Good ending here GCB, cliffhanger.

Overall, good job with this episode of NXT. After this episode, I think that NXT will get even more interesting as people jockey for position and it'll only get better since you're booking.

Time for a Live Review GCB!

Looks like we're starting off with Ziggler and Kaval. While this isn't the great match they had at Survivor Series in 2010, this was a good opener. And Kaval lost against the odds and dropped to the eighth spot. Dang, I feel for the guy, but this maybe the start of a lengthy feud.

I liked and disliked the Rock promo. He was telling Ziggler and Truth just what they needed to change if they wanted to make it in this business, but The Rock still doesn't sound like Rock. I'm sorry. Maybe it's my nostalgia effect. That's the only problem I have with him, but I understand his character isn't the same as it used to be, so I'll get over it.

Shocked you didn't give a win to The Broskis here. But for Tag Team Turmoil, you gotta make every team look legit. Good match from them. Nice appearance by the British Empire. Looks like you're really high up on these guys. Hopefully their debut doesn't disappoint.

JBL sounds like a Dictator here. Trying to make his men become violent. Scratch that, he reminds me of Bison from Street Fighter. He calls all the shots, and his men wouldn't dare go against him. Wonder where this goes...

I like how you're building up Chavo. This is one of the staples I like about your NXT. Guys that are jobbers have a chance to become relevant. Didn't like Vickie here though. I think she killed it. And how will the Guerrero name in wrestling be dead if she's still there, so to speak.

Maryse the new Divas Champion? Clean? I thought we'd get some interference by Michelle and Kharma, but it looks like Maryse has the belt. I always thought she was Hot and had a good run with the Divas Title. Hope you make her's good as well. Least with the ending, we're gonna get one more match out of these two.

There seems to be a bit on controversy surrounding this match as well. Santino did one too many things to Kozlov and cost Khali the match and the #1 Ranking. Wonder what the fallout from this will be?

So overall, we had some feuds develop.....somewhat. Maybe a feud between Layla and Maryse, Kaval and Dolph Ziggler, and somehow Santino and Kozlov. But I think I see Kozlov and Khali in a return match? Or maybe it's just that these rankings are final. Great show as always GCB. Looking forward to seeing what happens next week.

Alright Mr. Chip Butty, time for an NXT review:

A solid opening with Dolph and Kaval and I really like how you are using this show to improve these guys and give them some air time. And it's also a great place to experiment things. Alright, Drew costs Kaval the match. I think that Kaval will be the first man eliminated but I don't think he'll leave NXT and will cost Team JBL the victory in the end. Good win for Dolph. Builds him up nicely.

Nothing much to say about The Rock promo. It was ok. A little rift between Zig-Zag and The Rock and now I think maybe, just maybe, Kaval and Dolph will switch teams if it is even allowed to. The tag team turmoil interests me very much and I like that Henry and Bourne won. It gives them hype and you're not just focusing on one team but you're building up an entire division which is really nice to see. I'm waiting for the Empire to debut. Looks like they could walk away with gold come Rumble.

And my god! JBL is plotting something against Kaval and MVP doesn't seem to like it. I don't know. This angle seems to confuse me a lot in a positive way. I don't know what'll happen. It keeps me interested. And now onto the Chavo promo. It wasn't something great but it was good. Got the point across. Chavo wants to make the Guerrero family name come up. But what's with Vickie? Dolph-Chavo feud? Hmm.

And though I like you experimenting things on this show, a Divas title change when we're so near to one of the biggest and most important PPVs of the year on NXT, I didn't like that move TBH. Anyways, Michelle and Kharma have a problem with Layla and they're going to settle it. But when? RR? I'm interested to see where this Maryse title run leads to.

Alright, main-event time and it was Kozlov dominating most of the match? What!!! Yeah, Kozlov is a big guy and all but Khali is bigger. Much bigger. I thought he should have had more offence in the match. And Santino shatters Khali's hopes of being no.1 with a chair-shot to Kozlov. I like this Santino-Kozlov angle and I guess it'll be one of the deciding factors of this competition.

All in all, a great show which is no surprise from you mate. However, with the recent discussions in the lounge with GrandSword, I thought maybe you would switch back to full shows because I personally think that they are much better than recap shows. Anyways, I enjoyed your show and you're nicely building up the show and giving a platform for the jobbers. The storylines are interesting me. However, I felt that there should have been more reference to the Royal Rumble than just a tag-team match. Maybe one or two videos focusing on the 30-Man RR Match? But that's just a minor thing in an otherwise solid show. Good luck and keep writing.

Critical Review :cuss2:

In my time as being a critic i can honestly say that i've never had words to explain something, you sir have done this. The only way to explain this show would be by this linkhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJflu7z4QyI.

First of all i couldn't give two shits about what happened on your show last week, i wouldn't be surprised if they all just circled jerked the entire time anyways. Now onto the first match and before i say anything i have to ask, who the fuck is Kaval and what the fuck kind fuckin roster do you have? Dolph "********er" Ziggler and Drew McIntyre are you fuckin kidding me! Now, just by the first few sentences of this show i can already tell i fuckin hate you and your shitty ass show.

Well after i was done with my crazy cussing rant from from reading the first match i about threw my laptop out the damn window when i read some pointless fuckin red text for no damn reason! is your meaning in life to waste everyones precious fuckin time! but lets get to the match i'm sure it can't be any worse than the last, oh wait i was wrong...you have mark henry that 400 pound slab of shit and whatever the hell that other guy is face the Major broskis (douchebags). how the hell do you think the match is gonna turn out...thats right mark henry smacks the shoves his dick up their as and impales them on it.

Now onto this fuckin british empire first of all i don't know why Finlay (the drunken ass IRISHMAN) is even related to the BRITISH empire. but lets look over that shall we and focus on the fact that you have the british acting like their top shit if i've learned anything about the revolutionary war its that the british couldn't kick ass even if they were a bunch of farmers and peasants. especially william regal he is the guy that just shows how big of pussy brits really are. and the fact that they say their unimpressed by the previous match is just shit because mark henry could beat the shit out of them with his man boobs.

the 3rd match was Particularly interesting, in saying that i would like to ask you something. have you ever gotten so mad that you blow up an oil rig in the gulf causeing one of the worst oil spills in history, well thats what i did when i saw there was a motherfuckin divas match. You do realize this is just the part of the show where guys masterbate to a bunch of bitches wearing a bra. And you would let the canadian win (whens the last time a canadians ever done anything good?:wtf: ) against the english woman you racist bastard.

Onto this what i guess you would call a main event, all i have to say about this is "the Fuck:icon_mad:" you have these two giant bastards face off i would much rather watch a midget pole-vault over a chair. i got an easy way for this match to end take fuckin brick and brake khalis fuckin knee or just give the russian a molotov cocktail and he'll kill himself by bustin the damn bottle on his own fuckin head the dumb socialist bastard.

Now onto the Rating out of 10 i give your show an IHW because it just doesn't get any worse than this :disappointed:

Despite the comments of my good friend, Whostine, a BT legend in the making, I have regretably decided not to alter any of my BT plans and storylines. It's the way it shall stay. Knowing that, you will all be expecting a complete piss-poor standard SMACKDOWN and I don't expect anybody will wish to read it apart from the severely sadistic of you but here is the preview anyway ... :D

*** PREVIEW ***

WHAT WILL JOHN CENA HAVE TO SAY ABOUT RANDY ORTON’S REINSTATEMENT IN THE RUMBLE?

On RAW this Monday, WWE owner Chip Butty announced that due to threatened boycotts of the Royal Rumble PPV from the WWE Universe and WWE sponsors, Randy Orton was to be reinstated into the Royal Rumble in nine days time. Under strict orders, Orton will be allowed to compete in Cleveland, Ohio, but only in the Royal Rumble match and under no circumstances must he have contact with John Cena unless it is in the Rumble itself. The word is that John Cena is unhappy over the decision to allow Randy Orton to compete and he plans to voice his concerns over the unstable Orton’s inclusion this week on SMACKDOWN. What will John Cena have to say about the return of the Viper in the Royal Rumble match?

HOW WILL CM PUNK REACT TO THE KILLSWITCH FROM LAST WEEK?

After a quick count from World Champion, CM Punk, last week on SMACKDOWN, Christian was defeated by John Cena in the main event. However, the after-match shenanigans overshadowed the defeat as first Punk hit the GTS on Christian before the Number 1 contender recovered to give Punk a taste of his own medicine with a Killswitch. As the tensions rise between Punk and Christian, what will tonight’s episode of SMACKDOWN bring us? With both men confident of victory at the Royal Rumble, they will be looking to gain some kind of advantage over their opponent tonight – whether that be mental or physical!

WILL BIG SHOW EXPLAIN HIS ACTIONS TOWARDS KOFI KINGSTON?

After two weeks of shocking developments between the former friends, Big Show and Kofi Kingston, will we hear further explanation tonight from Big Show over why he has turned on his friend? After both men competed in the Vengeance World Championship match, Show has since smashed Kingston with a TV monitor and followed that up last week with chair shots to Kofi who he felt had disrespected him. With Show desperate to regain the World Championship he held for four minutes last month and Kofi desperate for his first taste of World Championship gold, this feud appears to be reaching boiling point as the two men battle it out to prove their title credentials. Will Big Show have words for Kofi Kingston tonight?

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LINE!

Despite his sights being set on the World Championship of late, Matt Hardy was forced by SMACKDOWN General Manager Michael Cole to compete in a Number 1 contender match last week – with a shot for the Intercontinental Championship up for grabs. With his Rumble place in jeopardy from Cole, Hardy stepped up to the plate and defeated Cody Rhodes and this week, with his Rumble spot safe, he goes one on one with the Mexican Aristocrat Alberto Del Rio for the Intercontinental Title. Hardy has been overheard this week declaring that he intends to go all out tonight and win the title so that it strengthens his claims to be in the World Championship picture. Will Michael Cole see it that way? And can Matt Hardy defeat Alberto Del Rio with the Mexican in a hot streak since his arrival in the WWE?

***CONFIRMED ***

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Matt Hardy

CM Punk vs. Mark Henry

Kofi Kingston vs. Kane
