Monday Night Raw 2011 June 16th Edition
Los Angeles, CA

Monday Night Raw was live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. It was a different Raw as the WWE Universe heard that The Chairman, Vince McMahon has stepped down and new management has taken over. The new management didn't disappoint as they provided an action-packed edition of Raw.

CM Punk opens the show as he addresses the WWE Universe as to why he should be the #1 Contender to Cena's championship. Claiming to be the best, Mysterio hits the ring to beg to differ. The two are at a cross rhodes as to who should be the new #1 Contender. the Miz then makes his way to the ring to voice why he should be the #1 Contender. Each superstar made a great point but it was ultimately the Anonymous General Manager who decided what to do. The Anonymous GM announced a Triple-Threat Cage match for the main event to determine the new #1 Contender. The Anonymous GM ends by saying, "If you're not down with that, we got two words for you." While the crowd finishes the phrase.
The night continues with a match between the All-American American United States Champion, Jack Swagger against the Ghanaian Dynamo Kofi Kingston. The action was great as it was going back and forth. Swagger showed his technical skills by grounding the high-flying Kingston. But one slip up from Swagger and an SOS gave Kofi Kingston the victory and put Swagger on notice. This could lead to a championship match for Kingston.

Raw was action packed as it had yet another amazing bout featuring Self-Proclaimed Perfection, Dolph Ziggler against the Shaman of Sexy in his hometown, John Morrison. The two put on a great showing as always, but it was due to Vickie Guerrero's outside interference that gave Ziggler the win after locking in the Sleeperhold that put Morrison out. just when we thought that would be all, R-Truth comes out and attacks Morrison. Truth pummels Morrison in front of his home crowd as they boo Truth. Truth looked to make a statement and did it in the form of beating on the hometown hero. This got Truth a lot of heat. But why?

A video package of a new Raw talent shows up in the TitanTron. The video featured the superstar doing some high-risk moves from the top rope as well as some power moves such as a power slam through a table on another superstar. The video ends with the man saying, "I'm Phenomenal".
Alberto Del Rio makes his way to the ring in his expensive car again honking the horn as the crowd boos. Del Rio claims that he shouldn't even need to compete to be the #1 Contender to Cena's championship because it is his destiny to be champion and not anyone elses. He goes on to mock those that are in the main event and say that non of them are championship-material. The Anonymous GM chimes in gives Del Rio against the Champ, John Cena to prove he is championship-material. The Anonymous GM ends with saying, "And that's the bottom line cause..." While the crowd finishes the phrase.

Del Rio vs. Cena saw Del Rio manhandling the Champ as he worked on Cena's back. A back and forth match that showed that Del Rio could keep up with the champ. But later, Cena got a second wind and began mustering his offense. Del Rio rolled out of the ring after a Five-Knuckle Shuffle and was counted out. Until, Mysterio forced Del Rio back in where Cena gave Del Rio the AA as the crowd cheers in approval.

Divas. We all love the Divas. The match was sure to be a great one as it featured the Divas Champion, Eve vs. Brie Bella accompanied by her sister Nikki Bella. Brie took advantage early in the match never allowing Eve to get into her offensive moveset. But being the Divas Champion, Eve fought back. Just as it looked like Eve would pull out the victory, twin magic occurs. With the referee's back turned, Nikki enters the match and gives Eve 2 DDT's for the pinfall victory. This should put the Bellas' in the hunt for the championship.
The main event did not disappoint the WWE crowd live in attendance. We saw many interesting things transpire during the Triple-Threat Cage match to determine who Cena's next opponent would be. Punk and Miz worked on Mysterio early on in the match. But when Miz tried to escape while Punk worked on Mysterio, Punk immediately ended their alliance. Punk was dominant most of the match. With both men down, Punk made his escape, but as he was on the top, Miz raced up the cage to bring Punk down. As both competitors knocked each other off and fell to the ground. All 3 men were down. With Mysterio finally mounting some offense, he hit a Hurricanrana on Punk and a monkey flip on Miz. When Mysterio tries to escape through the cage door, Drew McIntyre makes his was down the ramp and closes the door on Rey's face. Next it was Miz's turn to escape through the door but Alex Riley comes down and slams the door on Miz's face as well. Punk was making his way up the cage as all this transpired. Rey then made his way up the opposite side of the cage, both Punk and Rey were atop the cage. Rey then did something he would live to regret. He performed a splash on Miz for the 3 count, but Punk had escaped first.

Cena is seen watching the match on a monitor and raises his WWE Title as Raw went off the air.

Friday Night Smackdown! 2011 June 17th Edition
San Antonio, TX

Friday Night Smackdown! opened with Theodore Long welcoming everyone to the new WWE. He also announced a #1 Contenders Match between Sheamus and Christian, but was interrupted by Cody Rhodes. Rhodes made his case, and was added to the #1 Contenders Match making it a Triple-Threat Match.

Many young superstars looked to leave their mark on Smackdown as Ted Dibiase looked to make an impact when he faced off against William Regal in the first match of the night. Though Regal made it competitive, Ted eventually came out on top after he hit Dream Street on Regal. After the match, Ted continued his onslaught on Regal but was Evan Bourne came out to make the save. Also, making waves was Trent Baretta as he took out JTG with a devastating tornado DDT that almost took off JTG's head!

Smackdown! had great tag team action as Londrick faced off against the Usos. With both teams being fast paced, it was Londrick who eventually came out with the win after London hit the 450 Splash. After the match, Londrick was attacked by the Unified Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater. Gabriel performed his own 450 splash on London and mouthed off to him "that's how you do a 450 splash."

Mason Ryan made his debut tonight as he took on the Big Red Machine Kane. As Kane took the early advantage in the match, this rookie came out striking. Ryan manhandled the Big Red Monster as he finished Kane off when Kane went to the top rope for a clothesline but was met by a Spear.

In an interesting scenario, Wade Barrett confronted Daniel Bryan as he was talking to AJ Lee who was a new diva in the WWE. Barrett ranted on about Bryan not doing anything since the NXT days and that he will amount to nothing. Barrett then gave a boot to Bryan and pummeled him. When he was done, Barrett saw the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry behind him and ran off. When it looked like Henry would help Bryan, he gave Bryan the World's Strongest Slam on the concrete floor. Officials came in to prevent any further damage.

The Triple-Threat #1 Contender's match featured Sheamus, Christian, and Cody Rhodes. The trio didn't disappoint as they put on a hell of a match. With Sheamus and Rhodes working on Christian early on, they eventually went at each other. The match was nearing its end when Christian called for the spear on Rhodes but Rhodes dodged it and hit Sheamus instead. Rhodes took advantage of this and hit the CrossRhodes to get in the pinfall victory. Randy Orton came out to intimidate Rhodes. Rhodes signaled the belt around his waist as Orton lifted his World Heavyweight Championship high in the air as Smackdown! goes off the air.

The POWER 10 is out! The Power 10 is a ranking system that ranks superstars according to their in-ring work, promos, and how big of an impact he/she has made. The WWE Superstars continue to work hard as they try to remain on the list.
